Personally, if I were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize, I would count myself as having been thoroughly insulted. It means I am considered the equal of Jimmy Carter, Yasser Arafat and Al Gore at “promoting peace”.
More realistically, it means I am considered both neo-socialist and a superlative bullshit artist.
All good points - it has become meaningless as much of what passes as legislation, values and beliefs in the World today.
I would indeed be intrigued to know who put in his name - of course this is going to make the Narcissist in Chief even more insufferable.
In the comment section of one blog I read this - ‘I got an email asking that everyone pray every time they heard Obama speak or someone mention his name - all you need to do is say “God please protect our country.” Imagine the people of America praying to stop Obama every time they hear him or his name.’
Since then I’ve said “God please protect our country” every time I hear that schmuck or his name.

Nominators are invited by the Committee, but can come from a large group of people including previous winners, heads of state, legislators, judges, university professors etal.

It’s only $1.4 million Rich. But still! I heard he was giving the money to some charitable organization. Like ACORN.
That makes sense when you consider his AJ Holder scammed 9 million in bonuses from Fannie may and no doubt someone in his lil cabal of sycophants is probably doing similar things in some agency somewhere. I doubt money means anything to him like it does to his heroes like chaves and arafat et al who feel and felt the need to rape and plunder their respective constituancies. Kinda like his policies are doing to us. Oh ,Now I see the irony of what I just said. Well DUH Me!!
Looks like I picked the wrong decade to stop drinking.The part about sharing the attitudes and opinions of the majority of the world’s population scares me a little. Near as I can tell, the majority of the world is either communist or dictatorship, or some mixture of the two, and 1.4 billion of those are Muslim. Not that that should matter, I’m just sayin’, is all.
