  1. Two cultures separated by a common language, eh? Is this anything like “taking the piss”?

I’m going to guess it means something like staying happy, though I’ve having evil thoughts combined that, the expression, and keeping a stiff upper lip.

  2. Close Drew.

It means “keep your chin up.”

  3. Funny how that car was never as popular back in the day as it is now that the Germans are building it.

  4. My two older sisters shared a TR-6 (older one passed it to next, sadly she kept it until it rusted out) and my best friend’s hubby went to England and purchased a MGB from the factory (6 grand with both a soft and hard top). I remember tooling around Lawton OK in it doing 50 - man I was so lucky not to have a zillion points on my license!

Love those cars and now we have these computer whiz bang pieces of crap.

One day I will get one of those snazzy little cars - just to sit in it and remember driving 90 miles an hour (to get back to college before lights out) and whizzing through through Montana at 1AM at 100+ (yes we paid for it, she cracked her oil pan, hitting a dog, froze the engine) - back when America was still America. Not a Nanny state facade of ages past.
