Americans can take pride in Obama

 

1. I wonder how many times she fainted while writing about the Obamassamessiah?

   Some people can only hear what they want to hear, no matter what gets said.

2. Well, I will concede that it was an excellently done speech. The man is one hell of an orator.

   Where she and I part ways is that I believe it is not only our right but our duty to be VERY critical of ANY presidential candidate, regardless of his color, gender, political leanings or how gifted a speaker he/she is. Considering some of the con men we’ve had occupying that office in the past, I can’t help but question the motivation or intelligence of someone who thinks we should be forgiving of even a candidate’s tiniest faults.

   Now why is it that I suspect if I asked her if GW Bush should have been less subject to scrutiny than he was, she’d suddenly see my point? Granted, of course she’d claim that “well that’s different”, but still…
