  1. DAMN,damn,damn Jeff.
Now I don’t wanna post anything that will show on top of this. Maybe I can change that.

This is my vote for POST OF THE YEAR!!!!

Saw all three videos. Have to look for full screen version. The one on link didn’t work but heck, it made our day.  Wife under the weather and it really cheered her on lots. Well in fact it cheered us both. We used to follow horses. When we lived closer to track, We used to go to Hollywood Park very, very early mornings, maybe 6am or thereabouts. They’d allow visitors in those days. We’d watch workouts etc. Loved it. Loved Calif. Miss the old days we can’t have back.
    THANK YOU!!!!

  5. yup

First in 37 years.  He was still pulling away from the pack when he crossed the finish line.

I think the Skipper would have liked it.

  6. I agree it was exciting and I am glad that Mrs. Chenery was able to be there.

I am a bit peeved (as a former horse owner and a lifelong horse lover) that NBC chose to ignore that Helwan was injured and actually euthanized on the track (4th race) - Yes it would have been a bummer to go into all the details - but at least admit publicly that these kinds of things happen.
