Gosh, how come nobody thought of this before??

  1. Sorry, Drew - this is one case where the “Paid your debt to society” does not fly with me. Sex offenders have the highest rate of recidivism, and as a father of four girls I would seriously consider terminating him as a predator before I would expose my children. This clown would be a threat to my kids.

As far as I am concerned, this is one group who can either rot in jail or be deported to Antarctica. I don’t care.

  2. Agreed in full, but T, tell me, what do you have against Antarctica?

    wink

  3. Yeh.

Put me in the “Dead Pedophile” camp as well.

    Once is once too many.

  4. ... and this is exactly my point. If they commit a crime that society feels can never be actually “paid”, then don’t let them out of jail. Ever. Make pedophilia a capital offense. Make rape a capital offense. Make murder a capital offense, not just the super sicko cases. Kidnapping of a minor by non-parents. Immediate review of all guilty verdicts by a panel of judges, and if there were no lawyerly shennanigans ... hang ‘em. Stop this 20 years on death row with endless appeals and every single case has to go to the Supremes.

  5. Drew, I gotta disagree with you as well, although I must admit I’d have no problem with them moving some sex offenders in down the road. There’s a cemetery there, and they’ll fit right in.
Seriously, sex offenders suffer from a chemical imbalance in their bodies, to be exact, a heavy metal deficiency. All it takes is one injection to cure them, provided it is given intercranially, or intercardially. NO recidivism when the injection is given promptly. Its a cure that has the potential to save tax payers billions! We don’t even need to jail them after the injection.

  6. Nonetheless Jeremy, his original point is still valid: If you can’t make em SAFE for those around them on the streets, DON’T LET THEM BACK OUT ON THE STREETS.

Of course, that leaves the process of *proving* that yes, the one injection does the job. Until you can prove it, you still have an unknown quantity out there. I don’t know if you have any kids Jeremy, but.... when you have a 13 year old daughter you get really merciless about such things.

  7. Tannenberg - I have nothing against Antarctica.
Polar Bears gotta eat too… and a little variety in the diet (penguin gets old...) wouldn’t hoit.

  8. Heh-heh-heh!
