Almost Spring

 

1. Oooooh, baseball!!!    Time to grab some and maybe a , sit on the back porch, and watch the grass grow...same thing Thank God cricket (a game actually more useless than baseball) season is almost over and rugby season is starting down here.  Once I finally understood the game and the fundamental differences between it and football (or “grid-iron” as they call it), rugby is a blast to watch.  It doesn’t hurt that the Kiwis are among the best in the world.

3. Dunno if this is making the rounds on the MSM yet but:

   After the Red Sox completed their visit to the White House, their next stop was Walter Reed Army Medical Center to visit with our wounded troops.

   I’ll freely admit I was on the Red Sox bandwagon during the WS (I’m a casual baseball watcher, don’t have a favorite MLB team to root for) and hearing of their visit to Walter Reed just solidifed my respect for them.
