   This is what US President Thomas Jefferson was told when he asked why the Barbary pirates were attacking our ships. Nothing has changed in the 220 years since then.

   Hmmm, I wonder if some tit for tat would be effective? What if we started sending them exploding packages and setting off car bombs in their countries? Nah, that’s probably too much work. Easier to just drop bombs.
