   My ViewSonic crapped out 4 mos. ago after 10 yrs. I replaced it with a ViewSonic VX2250 21”.Really nice screen for about $175 at Fry’s.

2. Mine was a ViewSonic CRT as well. They don’t make these any more. I got an HP 2311x flat panel and it seems awesome so far. The price has really dropped on these things too.

   I wasn’t looking for any wonder-monitor, just something to get me through. But if the PC dies, I’ll buy a new one and keep this HP. 1900 x 1200 is razor sharp resolution, much nicer than the 1280 x 1024 the old CRT ran at.
