You need a special CCWBBQ license to use that grill. Such things are only available in Texas. The rest of us have to get by with Open BBQ.
I think they should have put the wheels on the other end. That way when you tow it, the barrel points behind you. Not much worry about tailgaters then!
Yes, I’m playing with my toy. I’ve been studying the holy IBOK. While I can accept that shim washers may be beneficial, I’m not 100% sold on the hammer face trimming: The contact part of the hammer hits the transfer bar when the safety surface it still 1/8” away from the frame. Not sure what good trimming that surface down 0.02” would do, especially since the firing pin is fully extended before that point. I can see lightening down the hammer, especially melding it’s shape to that of the frame. Since e = 1/2mv2 and the hammer is spring driven, carving some weight off the hammer means it will accelerate faster, and thus hit harder. Which means a stronger blow to the firing pin, which is a good thing when using a softer mainspring.
I think that in another life I was either a gunsmith, a machinist, or an engineer.
