  2. Hmmm… looks to me like the dice looking things are some sort of jig, the round headed bars fill the function of a punch, so as to create a specific domed shape…

    But so far I am having NO luck at all imagining what industry would use them. They look reminiscent of a snap and grommet setter.

  4. Actually, you can get them made out of steel as well.

    These things are Dapping Blocks. They are used by jewelers to make domes in bits of metal. They are also used to make the hemispheres for hollow metal beads, also for jewelry.
