   Now that is an interesting opinion! Let’s explore this further?

   OCM, I’m gonna take your quote and leave part of it blank:

   Without racism _____ wouldn’t be funny at all!

   Now, OCM, what if I filled in the blank with:

   Asians
   Hispanics
   Caucasians
   Polynesians
   Arabs
   Indians
   Polacks
   Italians
   Jews
   Blondes
   Etc…

   Is it your opinion that only racism makes anyone funny? If so, why?

2. Two words: Bill Cosby

   I’m unaware that Bill Cosby ever used any ‘racism’ in his humor. If he had, I doubt he would have had one of the best Saturday cartoon shows when I was a, well, teen. Yep! As a teen Fat Albert was ‘must see TV’.

   Maybe we have different definitions of ‘racism’?

   I’m gonna save this OCM. You’ve inspired an essay by me on race, racism, and humor. I want to write it properly with appropriate citations, links, etc.

   This is why I missed you OCM. You make me think. You make me defend my positions.
