  1. That last prediction is absolutely critical...it is a sign of The Apocalypse!

    Cool new logo Allan!

  2. Probably more accurate than Jean Dixon’s ever was.

Guilty confession: although I would not feel anything missing from my life if California got covered up, I kind of like Paris.  The best architecture in the world, and you cannot get a bad meal or bottle of wine.  Make them a U.S. colony for 100 years and force all citoyens to go thru Legion Etrangere bootcamp upon reaching adulthood --the place could be fixed up.

A Marine who had gone thru both said that French Foreign Legion bootcamp wasn’t much different from USMC bootcamp.

  3. It’d be really cool if you could a ‘beep’
‘beep’ ‘beep’ just as the page opens. Like
the old radar. I’ll have to think about the
    predictions.

  4. Hmmmmm, sound-effects? Now, there’s an idea ....

  5. Oink, how ‘bout if we just let France sink long enough to make all of “Les Frenchies” take a bath? Then enslave them and make them provide free wine to the entire world for 100 years as atonement for being such arrogant assholes for so long?

  6. Cubs beat the Sox in a 4 game sweep? Bwuhahahahahh! Ahhhhhhhh, hahahahahah. *gasp* snort* Hahahahahahah. Yer killin’ me! *after catching breath* Care to place a small wager on that one?

  7. Gotta go with Oink on this one.  It’s a little ironic that my two favorite cities in the world are S.F. and Gay Paree, but there you have it.

Also, I was gonna say that it would take a hell of a blast to get to a blue county in CA, but I remembered the coastal & semi-coastal counties north of The City, as locals like to call S.F.  You’ve got Sonoma and Napa, the wine country, ‘nuff said.  Then Lake, Mendocino, and Humboldt, gorgeous forested counties consisting of aging lefties running b&b’s and hippies growing killer weed.  They’d probably think they were having a flashback.

  8. The new logo looks great.  And I have to agree 100% with the last prediction...but then again I am somewhat biased *grin*.  Happy New Year Allan (and Vilmar)!!

  9. I forgot Northern California, which is nice.  I’ll spare it.
I’m from Indy area.  Never underestimate the Pacers’ or the Colts’ ability to fall thru their ass when it gets down to the wire.

  10. Oink, the Colts did right well by themselves today. They played like shit for nearly three quarters then pulled out a 34-31 overtime victory against the Chargers. Manning got his 49th TD for the season, passing Marino’s record. It was a helluva game.

The Redskins had Dallas beat with less than a minute or two to go and Testaverde ran the field and won the game fer the Cowboys. The Injuns are now the Cowboy’s bitch.  smile

  11. Allan—no question about it, they pulled it out after being behind - what was it? - 16 points in the 4th quarter.

But as you say Bwuhahahahahh! Ahhhhhhhh, hahahahahah!!  it ain’t the playoffs yet.

They can reach down deep and snatch defeat from the jaws of victory.  Maybe we should call it the Mayflower Curse, after the way they pulled out of Baltimore.

  12. Cubs beat the Red Sox? Nevah!!!!!!!!!!
With all the baseball trades going on it is difficult to predict who will come out on top next fall...........

  13. Damn straight about dem Cubbies Allan!

  14. Numbers 5,6,and 7 are absolutely brilliant!  As for # 9...I wouldn’t miss it (France) for one second. But I also wouldn’t dignify it’s loss from the world with a party.  I don’t drink wine but if I did, Georgia has a pretty good winery.  Kraft makes ok Parmasian cheese.  As for (previously mentioned) architecture...give me a nice craftsman style any time and I’ll be a happy camper.

  15. My turn.

    1.  Not Rummy.  Condi.
    2. through 9.---YESSIRREE BOB!!!
    10. Go Yankees!!

  16. AAARRRRRRRGGGGHHHH!  Been watching this soap opera for over forty years, and that was one of the worst losses ever. Worse than Clint Longley.  Worse than the Monday night game when the Skins were ahead at halftime 28-0 and managed to lose 35-31.

Oh, well.  Pitchers and catchers soon.

    Go Phils.
