  1. Sure it’s bad. cool hmm

My daughter has been to 17 different bars and restaurants with her trip here to Florida.  Today is the day she is coming for home cooking, at our home, and it will be 30 degrees instead of 75.

Menu:  2 roasted ducks (She is a vegetarian - or pretendetarian - she loves duck)
    Spit turned pork
    barbecued shrimp
    steamed claims
    steamed mussels
stone crab claws (learnin’ to eat)
    cold shrimp
Blue Crab (maybe if my fish salesman talks me into it)
    Lots of fruit for smooothies
    And a vegetable or two

We are tryin’ to get her to move here so we stop and walk through “lots of vegetable markets” and she keeps sayin, “This is a really good place for a vegetarian to live.”

Sad thing is we go ahead and buy French wine but we like Italian better and have a bunch of it too.  My 21 year old son is takin’ her to all the bars and is her event coordinator because he really wants her to move to the Sunshine State.

All in all her trip has costs me a fortune into the Florida economy.

My wife calls roasted duck - “the cross-over meat.”

  2. I don’t want to even hear it from your pansy ass...We have had for the past week sub zero temperatures, with wind chills well below zero.

Current conditions in Milford, NH, 2 feet of snow on the ground, still falling, about 10 degrees, with a steady 20MPH wind, gusting to 35MPH, causing white out conditions. Should stop sometime today, but the wind will not.

Yeah, I know you went to Antartica, but you *ASKED* to do that shitwink Texas is looking better and better…

  3. Don’t have it quite as bad as Anthony L. does but here’s the deal in Brunswick ME:

Looking for a total snow accumulation of 8-16 in (which really isn’t much) but the real bitch are the temps (it’s -1 now, windchill of -21) and the wind (25 to 30 with gusts up to 55mph)

Needless to say, we’re staying home to clean house and watch football wink

  4. Anthony, big difference---in NH you EXPECT COLD, WIND, SNOW, BLIZZARDS.

In Florida we want orange juice from oranges picked fresh from the tree, not FROZEN orange juice.

And who says I was complaining?  Please re-read carefully.  I was making a tongue-in-cheek commentary.

Musta missed that one, eh? grin Coulda been the high winds blew it right pastcha!

  7. “Musta missed that one, EH?

Hah! Vimar is a closet Canuckistani!! The “eh?” gives it away every time. Bet he says ROOOF instaed of RUFF too.
I know what the prairies are like Fred.
We just had a couple of weeks at -28 to -30 in the BC interior; couldn’t believe that. And finally got snow. I couldn’t stand a non-white Xmas. But the ultimate was over on the island - Henderson Lake got 8 METRES of rain. That’s about 26 FEET of rain. Guess that’s why only one person lives there.
