  1. I don’t see much of a problem here. The kid’s not one of her students, he didn’t attend the school where she teaches and he’s over the age of consent in his state. If she was a nurse, a horny housewife or an executive somewhere would there be a similar problem? Would it make the papers?

I’ll save my outrage for the ones messing with underage kids. Male or female.

  2. This chick needs to be FIRED !
The 17 year old might or might not be of a *consenting age* , but this is a High School Teacher. Keyword being TEACHER

She is in a position that requires public trust, dealing with minors...Personally, I question the fact that at 33 years of age, she is involved with a 17 year old…
Simply beacause, who’s to say it won’t be a 15 year old next time?

In regards to this garnering as much attention if she were a *nurse, horny housewife, or exce*...Yes, I think it would...it just might take it a tad longer to hit the news...plus, I don’t think a Teacher , such as in this scenario,<sexual contact> is simply a question of being *horny*...much more going on with that psyche.

    Fire her.
And make her repay the amount she receives while suspended with pay.

  4. And if the sexes were reversed, there would be an uproar to hang the male teachers hide to the proverbial barn door.

  5. Unfortunately, morally this is so wrong, however, the boy/young man was over the age of consent, and this teacher did not teach at the same school he attended, so legally what is the problem?

  6. OCM ...I agree, yes, if it was a male teacher in the same position, people would be screaming for the death penalty regardless of the law.  As wrong as it may be, men are still viewed as the protectors of society.
