2. What beautiful weapons - and what idiots are in charge of your courts. But one has to ask - why after possessing such wonderful items, he went and got air guns? Possession of a bullet - I pray next year we get rid of the (p)Resident or we may be in the same deep stupidity.

   As you say, there may - nay, MUST - be more to this than meets the eye. But it certainly is a sad commentary on what happens when a society gives up the right of citizens to protect themselves.

4. Tim the firearms law that covers this dates from 1969. The UK legal limit for an air rifle without requiring a firearms license is 12ft lbs. If the air rifle exceeds this you need to get a license which has to be renewed every five years. The police and most of the government now hate guns. It is a control thing. Hitler did the same when he came to power. It took longer in the UK but it has got to the point where gun owners are seen as one step up from deviants and criminals.
