A government that tried to abolish the nation. Time for another bundles for Britain Drive?
Not my intent to make light of a serious situation with the opening remark about bundles for Britain. But somehow ppl here need to give their leftist labour MPs a swift kick out the door. Like I have a right to say that. I don’t. It’s just that for the most part I admire Brit history and culture and it really does bother me that the left here has so much control. I have yet to meet anyone and that includes those who say they are liberals, who are happy with the situation and with Labour govt. They as well (libs) believe they are losing their heritage and country.
So ... who’s keeping these folks in office ?

Even if you weren’t kidding, I’m not sure the Bundles idea would work again. Last time we did it (post Dunkirk) we sent y’all an entire countryfull of personal small arms and ammo, which your government gathered up afterwards and melted down. We’re still rather pissed about that.
Sorry, the same thing is happening here in the U. S. and I’m rather busy working on our problem.
Perhaps a deal wherein we pool the UK’s Labour Party and the US’s Democrat Party and give them - someplace. Then, the people in both the UK and the US who work for a living and live honorably and decently can combine and have our own country.
The Labour/Democrat group can have the US states of Massachusetts, New York and California. The real people get the rest. (I offer this just as a beginning bargaining position.)
Anyone game?
I forgot to mention and can’t edit - the Democrat/Labour group MUST take the Archbishop of Canterbury and the ACLU. Non-negotiable.
Archie they can keep CAIR and the Muslim Council of Britain as well. I am to some extent mystified as to how these clowns remain in office. I can understand how a commie punk stooge like Livingstone gets elected in London. You only have to visit London for a few hours to realise it is no longer a part of Britain.
Part of the problem is the way the system is set up here. There are a disproportionate number of Labour MP’s from Scotland and Wales. The people of Scotland and Wales get more spent on them per head than the people of England. If you took away Welsh and Scottish MP’s then Labour would be unable to form a government. It’s doubtful that there would ever be a Labour government again, but the welfare handouts to Scotland and Wales make a load of people clients to the state. They won’t vote for anyone who is going to take away their benefits or make them get off their arses and that’s what keeps these bastards in power.
The avowed objective of “multiculturalism” is the destruction of the heritage and traditions--hence the philosophical underpinnings--of the West.
This objective is pursued on the assumption that the civilization and nations of the West will topple, like trees, without their roots (which in fact would happen).
Different apostles of this destruction have their different reasons for wanting it. However, it is no far cry from a bumptious and barbaric Islamic fanatic to the typical over-indoctrinated jackwad of “political correctness,” who, in terms of his so-called ideology, amounts to no more than a bastard offspring of Stalin’s (and who is most wisely treated as such).
The objective is always the same. And the vision of what follows is always a vision of rank totalitarianism. The only question is, whose totalitarianism, and I don’t think it happens to matter very much. After all, in any totalitarian society, inconvenient folk are murdered, usually in vast numbers, and those who are spared by the lords of the day are reduced to abject serfdom.
Thus, when I hear idiots prattling about the so-called virtues of “multiculturalism,” I reach for my civilization and tune them out.
I fear, however, that before this “multiculturalist” madness runs its course, we will be forced to reach for stronger remedies.
Archie, why give them any part of the U.S.? Why not Zimbabwe, they can’t make anything worse there. We’ve got enough trouble here in California with our own Moonbats, without importing more of them. I’ve watched Schwartzenegger fight an uphill battle every time the state budget comes up. The Democrat Moonbats out here are almost as bad as the Labourites.
It’s hard to understand why so many in Britain go along so blithely unconcerned with developments in their country. So many seem to keep voting Labour politicians info office at the same time that Labour is breaking down the country. For some time now, I’ve had the theory that a paternal government is developed, not to benefit the people, but to get them to forget about thinking for caring for themselves. Hence, so many blindly follow empty rhetoric without looking for substance. The amazing success of this is that Labour, with barely the exception of Tony what’s-his-name, has been systematically destroying Britain’s economy and national will since 1945. Geez, with the fall of Communism you’d think they would give up.
btw - My concept of multiculturalism: We are all part of a heterogeneous but unified group called Americans. We speak English. We support each other both domestically and internationally so that the United States can become even richer and more powerful than we are now. We understand that people from other countries may be very nice, but getting over the border does not automatically make them Americans. We recognize that many of us come from different cultures, but it has little or nothing to do with how we run our public lives. Privately, we all worship as we choose and generally keep the memory and culture of “The Old Country” alive. That is our right as Americans. E Pluribus Unum is a pretty good motto.
P.S. No bundles for Britain until their firearms laws are the equivalent of U.S. firearms laws in 1967.
