   I remembered the Bill Mauldin frame once I saw it, but I never would have made the connection.

2. When I was a kid back in the mid-1950’s the town library had a huge book with all of Mauldin’s cartoons.

   A couple of us guys use to pour over the pages for hours and sit in awe of the talent this man had.
