Yes Peiper, that is the face of islam. Even more than you think: this is THE face of islam - that’s a picture of Islamic Rage Boy. He shows up at so many protests all over the Middle East that he has become an icon. And a marvelous target for photosharp snark.
If the USA would quit sticking their noses in other countries’ issues, we wouldn’t be as fucked up as we are.
Absolutely right! Been saying that for years. We do seem to get ourselves caught up in things. I think it’s one thing to carry on commerce and exchange ideas and things that have security interests. But we have it seems to me, gone quite a bit overboard in meddling.

You make a good point. From the standpoint and speaking only for myself, over the years seeing the same old anti American rhetoric, I long ago thought we got ourselves into jams by sticking our nose in other ppls business. You are right about WW2 of course. But to be honest, I can understand the feelings of those folks in that bygone era. They saw a war to end all wars, they were told. They saw the casualties of both German and Brit and the horrors of trench warfare and said ... lets for gosh sake keep out of foreign entanglements. Many didn’t take Hitler very seriously and in a time of no long range bombers (till late 40’s) or guided missiles their perspective was a narrow one of self interest. Understandable given the times.
Lyndon, even in Germany itself at the very beginning of Hitler’s drive for power, there were actually Jews who applauded him and honestly believed (for only a short time) that his anti Jewish rants were not directed at German Jews but those other lower class unwanted embarrassing Jews from Eastern Europe. The damned Jews who bastardized German by speaking Yiddish. Even they didn’t understand the threat that loomed, till too late sad to say.
So, yeah. I can understand those folks in the USA who also didn’t see the threat.Peiper, I’ve been seeing his face for years now. He’s as famous as Baghdad Bob. Along with that burkha’d granny holding the 2 live rounds that were “fired through her wall” he’s one of a small handful of agitprop actors. He and granny have appeared in loads of photos run by AP and al-Reuters. Most of those photos are provided by stringers working for the enemy and are staged. Pretty sure we’ve seen IRB in Gaza, Lebanon, Iraq, etc. He was one of the “aid workers” removing “dead bodies” from some place the IDF had shelled; same job same kind of photo against “American war crimes” in Iraq. Granny appears in many photos too, often with her arms up wailing in grief over a “dead child” who can often be seen later in a crowd photo.
The MSM continues to use these faked pictures even though millions of people know they are staged. It got so bad at one point in the mid 00’s that the term “fauxtography” was coined to cover it.
No picture published by AP, AFP, al-Reuters etc of that part of the world should be taken at face value, from “the poor and starving in Gaza” to “latest Iranian missile test”, almost all of them are faked, enhanced, or otherwise messed with. This fake but inaccurate practice was one of the contributing factors that eroded public trust in the MSM to almost nothing.
Drew, I thought he looked familiar but still. OK, there’s a photos keeps cropping up. But how’d you manage to find that info on him, since there wasn’t anything like a name to go on?
