  1. Drew, great link at click on this link and thank you. I hadn’t seen that before now.
But you’re correct I did get the printed info from the other link and pix as well except for the last one at the bottom.

Been raining last two days and today sunny and bright and cold AND ... the damn construction ppl next door started taking down scaffolding at 7:20am AND ... started burning the trees and branches that were ALL cut down a week or so ago. EVERY tree in the back yard. Even all their apple trees, of which there were three. Anyway, the ash has been falling all over our house and property like black rain, and bits of the odor have found their way inside this old place.  Throat scratchy. Am pissed!

  2. I watched a re-run of David Starkey’s Monarchy http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Monarchy_TV_series last night. The first episode was about the invasion of the Saxons and Angles. It finished off on Alfred the Great the first king of England http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Alfred_the_great. There is a statue of him in Winchester. I knew some of the history but Starkey did a good job of explaining it in detail.

I used to listen to Starkey on R4 “Moral maze” and he could be infuriating in his pomposity but having recently seen him demolish a socialist minister on Question Time I have new found respect for him. If they repeat it on C4 JayD you should watch it if you haven’t already.
