Slight quibble here:

Actually, they weren’t. Our “Friendly Issues” with the Barbary Coast occured a few decades after the Marines were formed. What they were actually formed to do was to wreck hell on British shipping during boarding actions, and it was only after the war that they were dispatched to North Africa to kick the pirates around a bit.
Ok, Quibble over…
It’s good to finally see the German military in action.
However, I can only question how long it is before the politicos in Berlin charge them with discharging their weapons without allowing the poor Somalians to board and kill half the crew first
