  1. We have an orange kitty that lives in the neighborhood, he has a food and water bowl on our porch and a nice little table and chairs he likes to sleep on from time to time. I’ve seen one possum and a VERY bitchy bluejay come and take a few bites of whatever food Cream Soda (what we’ve named him) has left behind.

  2. We have two kitties come by Fluffy has a home - obviously well groomed and healthy. We have another - I thought had a home but looking at him now that he is attaching himself to our home - he is matted and has an injury on an ear. We call him Blaze - an orange tabby but a wide white chest. Fluffy comes in the AM and Blaze in the evening. I will be setting back up the house for him - so he gets used to it before winter sets in.

Meanwhile the daughter is on a mission to get a new kitten. I can’t say no. I’ve resisted the urge to go out and try to get Blaze used to me. But with our cat George being so weird since the psychotic kitty died - I think it’s time to make him Boss Cat and get a friend.
Hubby is not quite as enchanted.

We were constantly chasing the birds away (and we too have a bitchy blue jay) until we put the bowls in a foil pan full of water to keep the ants out of it. So far so good - but the h2o has attracted one of the raccoons. We just have to be watchful.

So working on the crazy cat lady mojo.

  3. Uh Oh - it’s two boys. So much for working on the crazy cat lady mojo - I’ve just fallen face first down the rabbit hole. Oy vey. Sadly, it’s not the first time of having multiple cats. Maybe I can find a vet clinic that has a bundle discount, as this stupid state requires rabies shots for cats.
