Now I understand the reason the White House press releases sound so detached from reality.
Propaganda is just so obvious when you put it into context - it is a shame that comprehension and the ability to put things into context are not taught any more. Interesting - and if you read the comments - still some people don’t have a clue.
Watched Jonestown Paradise Lost on H2 last night - these (those without a clue) are the same people who buy into the big Os ‘hope and change,’ Hitler, Jim Jones, David Koresh, Charles Mason and Fred Phelps and the ‘drivel’ (as one commenter put it) shows that everything old and dangerous and ends in a lot of death - is new again. These people really, truly are ignorant (ignorant can be fixed, there is no cure for stupid) - and it is why these kinds of things can happen. People who really, truly believe the ‘lie’ - to the point of being willing to kill their neighbor, their children and even themselves for people - who want only one thing - CONTROL.
I can’t fathom the disconnect with humanity and right and wrong that has to take - is it simply never being exposed to the Bible? I mean we see where these cults take people. I never saw the ‘charisma’ and ‘great oratory’ of the big o - was impressed with Reagan until I realized that his comments (’slipped the surly bonds of earth’ to ‘touch the face of God.’) was a paraphrase from High Flights by John Magee. It sort of tainted my impression a bit - but the difference between most previous Presidents and the big o - is that I thought that they believed what they were saying. I’ve yet to hear or read (since I rarely listen to the man) anything that I think that he believes. I feel that comments like - ‘if I had a son, he’d look like Trayvon’ (look at your daughters, idiot - do they look like the skanks in the hood? I don’t think so) as ‘I am you (my base)’ drivel.
Rush says that the big o is going to lose his untouchable standing by ‘dissing’ some pop culture icon (Jay Z, Kanye, or Beyonce) - I think he might get his big opportunity in this MLK event. A lot of blacks truly believe as that LA reporter said, the big o isn’t an ‘authentic’ (American) black - that is why he can be a ‘rich’ guy - and still get accolades even though he does pathetic imitations of ‘black’ loves - I guess holding parties with all these celebrities is enough for some of the sheeple. I know a lot of America is no longer enamored of the big o - I also know that a lot of blacks are beginning to have their eyes open. A lot are afraid that the big o is going to do what he always does - and makes this about himself.
I’m not afraid - I know he will do it. It will just be can he spew a totally on point ‘catch phrase’ that will placate the masses or announce a ‘new’ program that will divert the sheeple from his self-absorbed narcissism?
Given his track record of stepping into when he goes off teleprompter, the mistakes and stupidities that even with a teleprompter come out - and his immense self-love - it is entirely possible.
Most especially if Syria continues to escalate.
