  1. Liberals of todays world in thier quest for enlightenment support Kerry who carries a long black clouded history/present of mistruths, subvertive misinformation, sedition, treason and numerous other negatives that destroy, do so gladly as they blindly race to embrace the classless nonexistant personas of communism ....laughing here all in the name of freedom.....crying here all at the cost of Americas values.

Thank you Joe for articulating what is within my heart.  God bless you, God bless America ...there is still hope within this mighty nation.

  2. Yo Joe,

    One thought.

Don’t stoop to hating the left, that is their
    problem and ultimately, their demise.
Reject them totally. Fight them mightily,
Suspect them always. And never turn your
    back on ‘em.
But don’t bother hating them, no more ...
than you would hate cancer. Waste of emotion
    and counter-productive.

Drag somebody to the polls 11/2. I will.

  5. WAH--so if I take your point (Blind obedience to an ideology is the most dangerous political stance a country can take) to its logical conclusion you’d have us, the United States, not attacking other countries who are fervent believers of this ideology and allow them to continue their aggressive pursuit of said ideology using terrorism as their tool until such time as they are knocking on our shores.

My good man, you are truly full of shit.

  6. Wah, comrade, you are another Leftist who understands nothing about anything from the Constitution to foreign affairs to military strategy.  You cannot debate me factually, so you label me a “neocon”.  You are a typical leftist who seeks to turn the argument by placing yourself in the position of the good, tolerant centrist being attacked by the big, bad neocon.  Save it, pal.  I meet your type every day.  You are “soft America” and as such, you are inconsequential in the course of history as men better and braver than you will always be there to bail your sorry ass out of trouble despite yourself.  Now, get thee back to Moveon.org.  I love pissing off the Left!  Have a nice day.

  7. Ideology .....piffle to you wah ...if you read so much and have not seen the facts that no democracy has been formed through peace and woe be your literary resources

  8. It will take generations to build modern democracies in the Middle East.  Forcing this to happen at the point of gun is counter-productive, as it stirs up righteous anger in those to which the force is applied.  Again, it is working in Afghanistan, they attacked us.  It is not working in Iraq, they did not.

Roy, THAT is the &^%$#@ most convoluted
    logic and outright contradictory bullshit
I have EVER heard you utter and the most
recent example of same since the LAST time
    Kerry opened his #&*%$!* mouth.

  9. Wah, I have found from not only reading a lot, but also through lots of life experience, that life is full of choices that are usually binary or dichotomous:  Left or right.  Right or wrong.  Live or die.  Shoot or be shot.  Predator or prey.

Thinking in the grey area is a cop-out; not being able to come to a conclusion.  There is an enemy called Islamic fundamentalism.  Even at it’s lowest estimates as to how much of the overall Muslim population they represent, it still means tens of millions.  There is no time to sort through why they hate us or any of that nonsense.  When Islam strikes us they do not care whether the victim is neo-con, liberal, conservative, or anything else.  We are westerners, and we are infidels.  That’s it.  That is what you are faced with.  What do you do?  I have seen this up close and personal, so there is nothing that you or anybody else can say to counter my own observations through experience.  They are on a worldwide campaign to spread their infuence in a much more brutal way than we are if you view this in hegemonic terms.  They have been feeling us out since they pulled that embassy takeover in Iran in ‘79.  And under the pacifist Jimmy Carter, we did nothing (the failed rescue attempt using regular troops instead of special ops notwithstanding).  Regretably, from then on we pretty much did nothing.  Then Islamic fundamentalist extremists struck us hard.  If you think that just geting Osama Bin Laden is going to make it all go away, you are mistaken.  It is not a nation that struck us; it is an ideology that is counter to ours and has openly confronted us several times.  It is us or them, another this or that choice.  If you don’t believe that, good luck to you.

If you look at a map of the middle east and know anything about military strategy, it should be fairly clear as to what we are doing.  Look at it this way:  These people have been at the civilization game a lot longer than we have, and look at them.  Talk about ideology; they are still stuck in the 7th century and have contributed nothing to the rest of humanity since they gave us a numbering system.  Aside from that they have been pimps for what lies underneath the ground they occupy.  Now they are asserting themselves once again.  All they understand is violence and terror greater than theirs.  No talk.  No negotiations.  Leaving them alone is not only unfeasible, but will not make the problem go away.

All other issues are secondary.  As for separation of church and state, let me say this real loud:  IT MEANS THERE WILL BE NO ESTABLISHED GOVERNMENT CHURCHES!!!  That’s it.  The concept originated in the writngs of Jefferson, and the term “separation of church and state” appears nowhere in the Constitution.  I know exactly what kind of conservative I am:  Extreme Right Wing, registered Independent.  My ideal president would have the statesmenship and conviction of Barry Goldwater and the brass balls of Chesty Puller and George Patton.  I am agnostic, and Christians don’t bother me.  Neocons are a figment of Pat Buchanan’s mind since he was snubbed by the Republicans. Based on the definition you provided, I just call them reformed liberals who had their brains fixed.  Any other questions on where I stand?

  10. Kerry didn’t wrong me. Kerry ‘wronged’ truth.
I don’t hate Kerry, he is a nuisance
I wish would just go away.

*We have done good.  This country will do good.
We must do better.  Our values demand it.*

I agree. Electing a man without values
would be be a bad thing. And ‘wronging’
the truth is not a value I want from a
    candidate for President, much less....
    demand.

Be VERY careful in reply, there be ...
    monsters there....traps within snares.

  11. Is this a trick question?

I choose to ... eliminate ALL nuisances.

Pass the RAID and damn the sensitivities.

DEATH to the ... nuisances AND the nuances.

Give me liberty or give me the bug spray.

We have seen the enemy and he is ..... a
    nuisance.

Don’t fire till ya see the .... what? ....
    multifaceted lens of THAT nuisance.

Ahhh, I COULD on but why?

I just thought of something .... do spiders
qualify as allies in the war on ...nuisances
or are they, themselves ... a nuisance?

Rats! I don’t know. WAIT A MINUTE. Rodents,
Are they a nuisance? OR an member of the
Coalition of the ... Furried? They DO eat
    cockroaches.

Oh man.... my head hurts. Must be beer thirty.

  13. Oh my Wah I am surpirsed and a little disappointed that you have not quoted Johannes Kepler .... Pythagoras or Music of the Spheres in your deconstructive essays of explanation ...btw they in themselves are not explanatory as all you seem to be able to express are links to others thoughts and theories...not a good start to a budding Chomsky-ite.

Maybe the terrorism/Iraq isnt real as you seem to purport just a mere metaphysical projection of our own prejudices against absolutes.

  14. Address this ...

    http://www.frontpagemag.com/Articles/ReadArticle.asp?ID=15201

... nothing NEW there, Huh? 1000 years of
history and you deign to make excuses for
a ‘religious system’ that continues to ...
seek total control of the entire planet.

Buy a clue. Your aguments are much like
some very busy 14th century scribe trying
to use ink to further his profession. The
more he writes the more will be read. A
treatise of cogency will, by definition,
be the LAST thing that scribe desires.

For that would actually SOLVE something.

Not banter it back and forth. Not toss it
out for discussion. Not examine it’s value.

Just FIX the problem stated. DONE.

Islam = problem. Islam vanquished = no
    problem. Simple.

This has ALWAYS been an ‘epic’ test of
    will.

Heretofore, we’ve not had the will. We
DO now. W will. With whatever it requires.

To quote an old friend of mine ...

“Those who would give up essential Liberty, to purchase a little temporary
Safety, deserve neither Liberty nor Safety.”

    ~Benjamin Franklin

AND ... another old friend ...

..."If you will not fight for right when you can easily win without bloodshed; if you will not fight when your victory will be sure and not too costly; you may come to the moment when you will have to fight with all odds against you and only a precarious chance of survival. There may be even a worse fate. You may have to fight when there is no hope of victory, because it is better to perish than to live as slaves.”
    -- Winston Leonard Spencer Churchill

I trust after reading John Q. Adams cited
above you can reach no other conclusion.

BUT in case you don’t ...

“In the beginning of a change the patriot is a scarce man, and brave, and hated and scorned. When his cause succeeds, the timid join him, for then it costs nothing to be a patriot.”—Mark Twain

And just so you get the WHOLE picture ...

“War is an ugly thing, but not the ugliest of things.  The decayed and degraded state of moral and patriotic feeling that thinks that nothing is worth war is much worse.  The person who has nothing for which he is willing to fight, nothing which is more important than his own personal safety, is a miserable creature and has no chance of being free unless made and kept so by the exertions of better men than himself.”—John Stuart Mill

    I WILL add ...

“Government is not reason, it is not eloquence—it is force.”—George Washington

    GW, imagine that.

  15. Whoops, missed one ...

“I have sworn upon the altar of God, eternal hostility against every form of tyranny over the mind of man.”—Thomas Jefferson, September 23, 1800, as inscribed in the Jefferson Memorial

  16. Wah, my original purpose was to show verifiable ties to your candidate’s commie past, which you did not address.  I pre-addressed your entire argument.  If Bush being a neocon or whatever bothers you more than a traiterous commie, go to Canada.  In your case, vote for Kerry.  I don’t care.  You do not understand our objections to Kerry because you obviously have no military experience.  Some of us take honor and integrity and loyalty seriously.

If “lies” about WMD’s bother you, that is your problem.  I never thought that it was the reason we went in there in the first place.  Without “looking it up” I am willing to bet that you cannot even name 5 WMD’s or how they are stored, transported, or what their efficacy ratio per thousand is.  It’s a nice buzzword both sides throw about, but few have any idea just how Lewisite is delivered in what form and how little of it is required to do lots of damage, for example.  So leave the WMD’s alone.

Read The Prince by Machiavelli and The Godfather by Mario Puzo, and maybe you will have a better understanding of how our foreign policy works.

As for war and combat, I love this quote from George Orwell, a liberal-turned-conservative in his older, wiser years:

“If a man comes to burn down your mother’s house; go burn down his mother’s house first.”

  17. Yup, but with a twist. They BELIEVE they will win.

    We KNOW we’ll win.

The only good is knowledge and the only evil is ignorance.
    Socrates (469 BC - 399 BC)

    And here’s why ...

Victory belongs to the most persevering.
    Napoleon Bonaparte

You have NOT yet addressed JQA’s remarks

  18. FUCK their ‘forefathers’ and the camel they
    rode in on.

There’s a new sheriff in town.

Your ‘deconstruction’ is apparent to even
the most casual observer. I need not address
    it.

I’m ALL out of ‘patience’. Love was NEVER
    my strong suit.

    THIS IS WAR.

The art of war is simple enough. Find out where your enemy is. Get at him as soon as you can. Strike him as hard as you can, and keep moving.
    Ulysses S. Grant

    I’m sorry, you were saying?

  19. When I lived in NYC a long time go, there
was a guy who spent ALL day writing on side
walks with an indelible white pen. He would
write the most outrageous thngs ... things
like how the ‘illumanati’ were in cahoots
with the ‘aliens’. You couldn’t miss these
scribblings ... THEY WERE EVERYWHERE you put
your foot. BUT most folks just walked on by.
They were too busy to be bothered with ...
lookin down at those scribbles. Indelible
or not, in time they were gone. Time had
eroded them. Now the Twin Towers are gone.
And it is high time to do something about
it. STEP ON EACH AND EVERY HUMAN that ...
MIGHT be responsible until ... they are too
    gone, eroded.

We have too many high sounding words, and
too few actions that correspond with them.
    Abigail Adams

  20. OK boys, time to wrap this one up.  Stick a fork in it because it is done.

Now....WAH:  What is it with you overeducated intellectual types that you feel the need to engage in verbal diahhrea in an effort to impress others?

Have you never heard the expression:  brevity is the soul of wit?  Or is it you and your ilk have nothing better to offer a community than your self-aggrandized statements?

Please, shut the fuck up with your pompous verbosity. Got something to say? Keep it within the realm of “shortness.” You are becoming irritating. (***holds finger over “ban member” link***
