  1. Here in the states the bastard would get at least 6 years, if he was tried as a juvenile.  They could hold him until he is 21. But, here in the states the big push would be to try him as an adult which would make him eligible for the maximum penalty available.  The only time that a juvenile is not given the maximum is when it is the death sentence, then they get life in prison.

  2. My first thought is, “You want to know what it’s like to kill someone? Here’s my name and address. Bring it, punk.”

Fair warning: I live in Texas.

  3. I do not see why this piece of excrement should be allowed to pollute the planet with his continued presence.  He has by his own acts defined himself as an insane criminal far beyond all others except for a very select few.  It seems that about every 10 years or so, I hear of a crime so vile that it makes me feel as if I’d bit a piece of tin foil.  This guy qualifies.

This guy makes a pretty good advertisement for immediate public hanging.  Specifically the way they did it about two hundred hears ago when the drop rarely broke the neck of the prisoner and death usually came from strangulation.

  4. POS must be removed from the gene pool. This thing must never be allowed to breed.

  5. cmblake6 is correct, and here’s why:  This guy committed what, to a normal person, would be a horrible act, and his only motive was curiosity as to what it would feel like?

    > Phillips’ own lawyer Patrick Mason said the attack was ‘indefensible’ and did
    > not offer any mitigation but said his client had inherited certain
    > ‘personality traits’.

“certain personality traits”.  Yeah, like sociopathy.

This isn’t something you can reason with, or cure.  If it really is sociopathy, there’s no conscience to reach.  He has no care for right or wrong, and the concepts are but mere curiosities to him.  Eating a sandwich to him is the same moral equivalent of doing something wonderfully noble, or horribly criminal like what happened here.

No.  Moral.  Compass.  NONE.  And there never WILL be one either.

    ...

But everything I just wrong only explains his behavior, in no way does it attempt to excuse it.  Lock him up in a psych ward for the rest of his life, or execute him.  Those are the only sane choices.

  6. Argentium - you hit where I was going.

Tragically I am seeing it with a step-grandson - both his new step-mother (my daughter) and I are giving up on his father (new husband/son-in-law) even bothering to try to save his son. This kid is horrible and really not someone you want to be around. I thought at Christmas, he had changed - that lasted about 20 minutes. He is uncivilized, willing to lie to get anyone - adult or child - into trouble and unable and unwilling to abide by any type of normal behavior. I fear for my other two grandchildren (not to mention his baby half sister in his custodial home). There is a disaster brewing - and CPS in IL (which I just found out has been called twice) does nothing. So much for government ‘helping’ any situation what-so-ever.

Father’s defense - he has ‘moods’. Crappola - he is a serial killer in the making - ruined by 4 - I would give my right arm to know what this ‘mother’ has done to this kid to make him so subhuman. Sadly when he hurts someone - we still may never know - the touchy feely ‘civil rights’ lawyers, social workers and psychiatrists will make sure ‘it’s nobody’s business’ and just issue a blanket ‘abused as a child’ crappola non-explanation.

  7. The answer is men.  Real men need to step up and start ensuring that law and justice are enforced once again.  Men need to ensure that their son’s understand the concepts of right and wrong, justice and injustice.  Boys and crimes like this are the product of an emasculated society.

Sorry to all of you ladies out there.  We have tried it your way for about 50 years.  It hasn’t worked.  It’s time for men to reassert themselves at the helm.

  8. Well, someone better step up and sooner not later cause as I have commented elsewhere on BMEWS, there are stories I don’t even bother posting. There are so damn many.  And Chauvinist .... one of the other scary things is that even girls, as in teens, seem to be joining the boys in a spot of fun. One girl (16) was kicking a guy’s head like a football and taking photos. He died. And she wasn’t the only example.

I haven’t even covered the babies that have been beaten to death by parents and boyfriends of single moms who are high etc. It is really sickening. When I say babies, I mean babies.
Google BabyP for the UK and read that sad story.
I think the place is falling apart.
