I am getting well. Not there fully yet, still feeling rather wrung-out. Not much energy.
But I did feel well enough to go to Cheap League Thursday, and I pretty much beat the other team single handed. Handedly. Whatever. The other couple that is the rest of our team didn’t show up and my wife had to work late so she’ll post-bowl tomorrow. That left me on our side. Two absentees on the team we played, and one of those had pre-bowled, but poorly. And one of the guys who did show up had left his bowling gear at work, so he had to rent shoes (eewww) and use an alley ball so his scores were pretty bad. And I rolled a 588 series. So to win all seven points, “Mrs. 458” will have to score only 113 points per game or less (69 points to win game 3), which is well within her ability even if she’s throwing poorly. Yay me. Yay team. Too bad we’ve fallen to 9th place out of 12 teams, but we can fight our way up in the remaining 15 weeks. Or not; it’s fun league so I’m trying my best not to care.
In other news;
A rash of new flu cases were reported in the Clinton area of New Jersey this week.Some suspect it started in a local bowling alley where some folks were observed suffering sniffles and mild coughing fits upon leaving the lanes.
No kidding. Guess where I caught it from last week? Bob was telling everyone how frightfully sick he’d been for a week, and Glenn’s wife Tami came right up to me to tell me how she hadn’t been able to keep anything down for 5 days. Gee thanks ... as i backed away ASAP.
