Seems to be a day for guns.

What a find here. I’m surprised the builder didn’t take them. Or maybe he did take some. Or, there could have been a witness to the find?

Don’t you love the line about “trained officers” to haul away those empty guns.

Private ownership of handguns is banned. Oh yeah? Then who are the guys who’ve been using them lately?  How did that off duty cop get shot dead last week?
And by who?
Oh right.  The bad guys.  They do not recognize gun bans.

Builder discovers deadly haul of more than 30 shotguns and pistols which were hidden behind false wall days after Dunblane massacre

Simon Berni made the discovery while renovating a house in south Wales

More than 30 shotguns and pistols as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition were hidden behind a false wall in the Dinas Powys property

Believed previous owner hid the weapons after the Dunblane massacre.  The 1996 atrocity caused private ownership of handguns to be banned

A secret arsenal of guns and ammunition hidden in the wake of the Dunblane massacre have been found stashed behind a false wall by a builder renovating a house.

Builder Simon Berni, 41, was shocked to discover a secret haul of more than 30 shotguns and pistols as well as hundreds of rounds of ammunition when he began working on a south Wales property.

He said: ‘It was an incredible arsenal - full, absolutely choc-a-bloc with eight shelves of fire arms and ammunition.

The guns were wrapped in newspaper dated March 1996 - just days after the Dunblane massacre in which 16 children were shot dead.

Police believe the guns were unregistered and their owner hid them out of fear of losing them when strict new firearms laws were brought in following the Dunblane shootings.

Public outcry at the killings in March 1996 and an official enquiry entitled the Cullen Report forced new gun laws to be brought in.

Subsequently, the Firearms (Amendment) Act 1997 and the Firearms (Amendment) (No. 2) Act 1997 were enacted, effectively making private ownership of handguns illegal in the United Kingdom.

The Dunblane massacre remains one of the deadliest criminal acts involving firearms in the history of the United Kingdom.

Mr Berni was renovating his uncle’s house in the quiet village of Dinas Powys, near Cardiff, when he made the gun haul discovery.

He found one set hidden in the space behind a wall heater and another when he took down a plasterboard wall to uncover the secret arsenal.

The firearms ranged from a pistol from the 1930s to a pump-action shotgun. Around 250 live bullets were also found.

He added: ‘I was shocked because there weren’t any bricks in the wall but a lot of shotgun barrels and hand guns.

‘They obviously belonged to somebody who knew what they were doing as they were all greased and beautifully wrapped up in newspaper.’

Police are working on the theory that the owner of the guns died after concealing them in the house.

The weapons have been removed safely by trained police officers.

  1. And the fucking moron CALLED THE COPS and TURNED THEM ALL IN!!!

    Holy shit. What a slave.
“The strongest chains are the ones the slaves forge for themselves.”

And here I was, salivating about the Auto 5 and that Model 12 and those two Webleys and tht K98 ... and you just know these guns are all going to be melted down to make manhole covers.

PS - as if you’d actually NEED to be a trained police officer to remove these guns safely.

Wales ... just as pussy as the rest of the UK.

On a more positive note: “It is believed the previous owner of the house in Dinas Powys died after hiding the weapons” ... so the police here REALLY ARE taking his guns from his cold dead hands.

  3. What a tool.  There would have to have been someone else there that saw it if I had been in his shoes, otherwise I’d take them home and install them in my own walls.  And are the police there really that well trained in such things?  Very few even get to carry even on duty.

  4. I would have kept my mouth shut and taken them elsewhere rapidly.

But, that show how the Brit people really have turned into sheep!

  5. Not sheep. Faggots...and not just the pork ones either.

  6. The problem is that if he had waltzed into the local nick with a wheelbarrow full of guns he would likely have been arrested. As for keeping a few aside. Well its possible, but realistically he would have needed to take all of them. If he had reported just a few then plod would start going back through their records and found the former owner had a number of hand guns. They would have been round the builders house tout suite to take his house apart. Its all very well saying he was a pussy or a faggot for not keeping them, but the prospect of spending five years in chokey especially if the guy has never owned a gun before is probably a non starter. Its easy to be an internet keyboard warrior. In the real world not so much.

  7. Lyndon, Well said. Even I wondered why he didn’t one or two. I should have known all that and I live here.
Btw, did you see the Mail’s headline recently?  Gun crime down. It may be but the story is still a joke, and the guys who have theirs are are no doubt laffing all the way to the next heist. Nothing like an unarmed populous to make a guy feel safe.
