Two mules for sister Sarah? Meh. Looks like Obashango is going to try to double down on his second crowning. Gots to play the race card as often as possible.
like, who really cares? Oh, I forgot. Chicago Black Jesus is also Black Lincoln. The New Mr. Civil Rights done freed them slaves all over again. Yes suh, freed them from ever having to get jobs, freed them from ever having to get an education, freed them from ever having to be responsible for anything ...
President Obama is putting a symbolic twist on a time-honored tradition, taking the oath of office for his second term with his hand placed not on a single Bible, but two—one owned by Martin Luther King Jr. and one by Abraham Lincoln.
The inclusion of King’s Bible is particularly significant since the inauguration comes on Jan. 21, the federal holiday in honor of the civil rights leader, who delivered his “I Have a Dream” speech 50 years ago at the Lincoln Memorial. Obama will be facing the memorial as he takes the oath. King’s Bible, which his children say he used early in his career as a preacher, has never been part of a presidential inauguration.
Funny. But not really. I think MLKjr will be spinning in his grave; the content of this character is ... ZERO.
Nice spin there buddy on the content angle, really nice.
I’m surprised he isn’t using Thomas Jefferson’s Unholy Koran in there someplace. Perhaps in the private ceremony in the White House on January 20th?
Come on guys. You know it’s all for show.
“There’s NO business like SHOW business” sing along. Don’t be shy.
I find it amusing his using Lincoln’s bible. Lincoln, who was a man of his time which is not rocket science after all. And as a man of his time, he had no great love of the black man. He didn’t hate them either but, in a speech he gave he did state his opinion on them. Which was, that the negro (they weren’t blacks back then)was not the equal of the white nor would they ever be.
Here, read him. I wonder if Obama has. Of course he has. But again, it’s all show biz and the idea that, most of his ranting left wing liberal supporters never read this. Or they would see the hypocrisy in the use of Lincoln. Again.
From 4th Lincoln/Douglas Debate, 1858
I will say then that I am not, nor ever have been in favor of bringing about in anyway the social and political equality of the white and black races - that I am not nor ever have been in favor of making voters or jurors of negroes, nor of qualifying them to hold office, nor to intermarry with white people; and I will say in addition to this that there is a physical difference between the white and black races which I believe will forever forbid the two races living together on terms of social and political equality. And inasmuch as they cannot so live, while they do remain together there must be the position of superior and inferior, and I, as much as any other man, am in favor of having the superior position assigned to the white race. I say upon this occasion I do not perceive that because the white man is to have the superior position the negro should be denied everything.
Does anyone see the irony of using the bibles of not one, but two assassinated men? I got ‘disciplined and edited’ by mentioning the fact that the big o just might want to think through his desire to emulate either Lincoln or JFK (2008 election) because of how they ended up - on another website - he said I was ‘implying’ wanting to assassinate the big o. After another dustup - I left. What is it with so many sites wanting you to simply spew the party line?
I used to think that this was America - not so sure any more - and that saddens and scares me.
If Obama was offed he would become a martyr in an instant, achieving nearly holy status like Ghandi, and a race war would break out all across the country within hours. Well, within the ghettos of the big cities at any rate. And you know how that goes ... they burn down their own neighborhoods first. Duh.
Peiper - I belive it was Lincoln who invented Liberia, or at least wanted to send the freed slaves there. But he realized the costs would make that nearly impossible.
