If I Were The Devil

A Paul Harvey broadcast from 1965.

And damn, ain’t the Devil come to town since then?

Follow the link and listen in.

Paul Harvey once had daily broadcasts on 1200 channels across America, and his essays printed in 300 newspapers. He was on the radio giving the news several times a day, and later had his own 6 broadcast a week show The Rest of the Story that ran for 33 years from 1976 until his death in 2009.
It doesn’t seem unfair to say that he was another Voice of America, like Uncle Walter. Except Harvey wasn’t a pinko.

And ... minor epiphany for me ... I think this is why the Right can’t speak to the Left so that they’ll hear. The Devil already done got them, long time gone.

  2. Wow, I really miss the Rest of the Story! Always interesting, a real shame there hasn’t been someone who has replaced Paul.

  3. Jump on this JHR 15 - wants to REPEAL the 22nd Amendment - which would allow the big o to run again (perhaps is why he STILL has a re-election campaign site up and running). go to and oppose that sucker and send a missive as to why it is such a bad idea - like for every job the Obama administration has created - 75 people have gone on food stamps. Like I’d want even more of that crappola.

And yes, I miss the Rest of the Story too - we don’t even get close to the real story anymore, let alone the info behind the headlines.
