Last year, just after the Ft. Hood Islamic Terrorist Attack, I posted the The Warrior Song.
There is a new version: The Warrior Song - Hard Corps
Semper Fi indeed - another great song - must go buy both of them now. Thanks for posting it.
I like that subtle change in the lyrics:
if death don’t bring you fear, I swear, you’ll fear these marchin’ feet
Semper Fi lyrics:
if death don’t bring you fear, then death ain’t brought by no Marine
wardmama, love you. I knew that if nobody else liked or commented, I could count on you for this sort of post.
Ah Chris - bought both yesterday and a new mp3 player - I sort of killed mine - somehow a bit of moisture got in and frtized the touch screen (I have a old worthless model that I got on clearance).
With 2 Army & 1 Marine in my immediate family - and the Marine s-i-l, the 3 Army nephews and the Navy Doc nephew - I support the Troops greatly and as often as I can.
There is a new project going - joint with the USO - The Boot Girls and the Boot Campaign - You can buy a pair of combat boots and the money goes to the Troops. I shall be buying one - as soon as I can find the time to do the order.
Besides - one of the greatest things about WWII - was the songs that helped the family left at home. CMT ran a program - Greatest Patriotic Country Songs - seems sad that that only genre doing Patriotic is Country.
So these songs just hit a cord - the Troops are the people I love, lived with and worked with for 29 years - I can do no less sitting around here in comfort at their expense than support them. And really it is so very little in the end.
I’d seen the original shortly after TheWarriorSong.com released it, and I really like this revision too. Thanks for posting it, Christopher.
