What’s Next??

You really have to wonder about some people.

If we start putting up memorials for the least, little thing like this, (hey, according to “experts” they make up only 3% of the population!) how long before we have memorials to pedophilia or bestiality?  How about one praising all the women who have had abortions?  They’re liberated, too, right?  And make up a far greater percentage of the population.

Look, it’s bad enough putting up this memorial to homosexuals who protested 40 years ago but to put it in Independence Hall?

What an abomination!

WOW!

I came across this story and just had to get more info.

I think you will find it fascinating.

A 27 year old French woman just finished rowing, yes! rowing, across the Pacific in 72 days.  I just did the math on that.  It’s like 60 miles a day, every day, non-stop.  Figuring 6 hours for rest, eating, etc., that is about 3.3 MPH EVERY hour!

Incredible!

And she’s not a bad looker, either.

Here’s the story.

Here’s her site.

Here are her journals in English (translation rough in parts but OK)

Oh, and did I mention she rowed across the Atlantic 2 years ago?!?!?!

Matthew 28:1-9 (KJV)

1 In the end of the sabbath, as it began to dawn toward the first day of the week, came Mary Magdalene and the other Mary to see the sepulchre.

2 And, behold, there was a great earthquake: for the angel of the Lord descended from heaven, and came and rolled back the stone from the door, and sat upon it.

3 His countenance was like lightning, and his raiment white as snow:

4 And for fear of him the keepers did shake, and became as dead men.

5 And the angel answered and said unto the women, Fear not ye: for I know that ye seek Jesus, which was crucified.

6 He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay.

7 And go quickly, and tell his disciples that he is risen from the dead; and, behold, he goeth before you into Galilee; there shall ye see him: lo, I have told you.

8 And they departed quickly from the sepulchre with fear and great joy; and did run to bring his disciples word.

9 And as they went to tell his disciples, behold, Jesus met them, saying, All hail. And they came and held him by the feet, and worshipped him.

Terri, I’m Sorry ….

I’m sorry but the whole Terri Schiavo drama has now reached into the arena of the Theatre Of The Absurd. The pro-life protesters have now started sending their children to jail in protest. So far, six children, aged 10 to 14 have been arrested attempting to bring water into the hospice where Terri Schiavo is slowly dying. For the record: Terri can only take fluids intravenously and is incapable of swallowing. I suppose that qualifies as Greek tragedy in more ways than one.

In the last few hours though, it has turned into a self-parody as evidenced by the latest article from the Washington Times entitled ”Woman’s Plight Likened To Jesus’” and the following completely unexplained, “out-of-nowhere” comments ....

Sister Maureen Fiedler, host of the radio program Interfaith Voices, said a special session called by Congress last weekend to resolve the Schiavo issue “appeared to reward the loyalty of the religious right portion of the Republican Party.”

“One positive fallout,” she added, is how Mrs. Schiavo’s plight has begun “a national conversation on end-of-life issues. It’s gripping everyone I know; and everywhere I go, people are talking about it.”

The Rev. Jesse Lee Peterson, president of the Los Angeles-based Brotherhood Organization of a New Destiny, noted the absence of black Christians in the debate.

“Nearly all the people fighting and protesting to keep Terri alive are white. Where are the prominent black ministers?” he asked.

“We don’t see them because they’re looking at this as a race issue, rather than as a moral one. Blacks, especially Christians, should stop looking at this issue through the prism of race. The battle is between people who are for life versus those who favor death.”

My views on this whole thing are already known. I have a deep, heartfelt sympathy for Terri Schiavo and I could really care less what anyone else thinks; her parents, her husband, the courts, the government .. they can all go bark at the moon for all I care. My heart and thoughts are with Terri Schiavo. I only hope and pray that her mental condition is as far gone as some have described it and she is unable to feel the pain of dehydration and starvation. I am sick of this entire mess and for some preacher to start wondering “where are the Blacks?” is just a little too much lunacy for me. The lunatics on the Far Right are just as crazy as the ones on the Far Left .. and somewhere in the middle is a fragile, defenseless soul lying in a hospice bed, waiting for something none of us seem to understand.

If I could speak to Terri, all I could try to say would be, “I’m sorry, truly sorry for the behavior of all of us. Please forgive us, dear.”

As Seen On TV

Oh MY! Now they’re talking about BMEWS on MSNBC (Windows Media Player required). Trey J. sent me this link to another great blog site, ”Jackson’s Junction”, where the link was originally posted. If you can’t get the video from Trey’s site, you can view or download a copy we have here locally (Windows Media Player - WMV file - 1.5 MB).

Here is a link to the original post about PETA that they referenced.

But don’t worry. When I hit the big time, become rich and famous and start dating Anna Nichole Smith, I will remember my humble origins and .... I promise not to run any puppies through my blender. Cross my heart and hope to die.

Ultimatum For George Bush And The Republican Party

All right, Mr. President. It’s time to put our cards on the table here. I’m also calling in a few markers I’m holding. You remember me, don’t you? The guy who worked tirelessly last year to get you re-elected? The guy who, with his buddy Vilmar, did everything in our power with the power of this blog to make sure you stayed in Washington to finish the job you started four years ago? Remember us? Well, you better. Because we’re more than a little bit pissed at you and the Republican Party right now. Why? Because you’re giving our freaking country away, that’s why!

As Vilmar said below, scurrying off to Mexico and sucking up to Vicente Fox while Fox’s own government literally forces its poverty-stricken people to illegally migrate north across the border into America and even goes so far as to publish a government guide for illegal migrants to assist them in breaking our laws. And you call this man our friend? Bullshit, Tex! I’m sick and tired of this crap and I want it to stop right now. Do you hear me? I’ll shout if necessary, dammit! Stop these leeches from crowding across the borders illegally or else this blog will hound your ass all the way until 2008 and if your Republican buddies in Congress decide to do nothing about the illegal immigrants, their ass can be driven out of office.

I hope you’re paying attention because this is no idle threat. I mean what I say, Mr. President. I will use this blog and everything in my power to defeat anyone in political office who does not get with the program and enforce our immigration laws. There will be no amnesty program, got that? I don’t care how poor the Mexicans are. There are too many legal ways for them to enter our country for this to continue.

Why are you condoning a criminal act, Mr. President? That’s right. You are turning a blind eye to hundreds of thousands of criminal acts every year as these people flood across our borders. By doing so, you are aiding and abetting criminals in the act of committing crimes against America. In my book, that makes you a criminal too, Mr. President .... ex post facto. Granting amnesty to these criminals, already in our country, is an abomination and a slap in the face to our legal system. Why not just grant a general amnesty to all criminals currently in the country. Why not put Charles Manson and all the rest back on the street again? Isn’t that basically what you and Senor Fox are trying to do? I’m sorry, but I can’t let you two pull the wool over my eyes that easily. This is personal ....

On December 14 of last year, I was on my way home from work in the late afternoon when I pulled up at a stop light. Before I knew what had happened, my vehicle was smashed from behind and I was knocked unconscious. According to the accident report, I was hit by a drunken Hispanic man (blood alcohol level - .11, which is .03 over the legal limit). Also, according to the accident report, this man had no drivers license, no social security card, no place of employment and no automobile insurance. He was arrested but later released on bond, whereupon he disappeared. My vehicle, a $40,000 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited (less than three years old with only 30,000 miles on it) was totally demolished and my insurance company, GEICO, had to replace the vehicle under my collision coverage. Attempts by GEICO to track down the hispanic driver who hit me were fruitless, according to them. I also incurred nearly $3,000 in medical bills for myself. In summary: not only was this man illegally in my country but he was driving illegally without a license or insurance and was driving under the influence. In addition, if he was working (according to the local police), he was working for strictly cash and paying absolutely no taxes. So let me see .... after breaking one law to get in to this country (a police investigation later revealed he was an illegal alien from Guatemala who had crossed over through Mexico), what did he do? He broke one .. two .. three .. four .. five more laws and caused $43,000 worth of damage as well as personal injury to a legal citizen of this country.

AND YOU WANT TO GIVE THIS FUCKER AMNESTY?

DAMMIT, MR. PRESIDENT! Get your head on straight! This is no laughing matter. I voted for you, I contributed to your campaign, I worked tirelessly for the Republican ticket. I DEMAND accountability. You have already seen that myself and all the other Conservative bloggers can be the best friend you could have. We can also be your worst nightmare. It’s your call ....

Terri Schiavo Update

Much has been said here and elsewhere about Terri’s “right to die” or “right to live.”

Many people are trying to save her life but when you must take your appeals through the same judges who have continuously rejected them in the past and ruled against you, it is difficult.

Say what you will about this case but I see it as nothing more than a first step towards federally authorized euthanasia.  In which caase, why is Dr. Jack still in jail?

People write letters to the editor saying, “how can the parents do this to her?  It is cruel and inhumane.” Yet who are they to judge what others feel?  What rights do they have to impose THEIR attitudes and perceptions unto someone else?

At what point will we then say, “hmmm, this baby is a mongoloid incapable of expressing itself and being a part of society.  Let’s not kill him but let him kill himself by not feeding him?”

What about the Alzheimer’s patients or the Parkinson’s patients who can no longer take care of themselves?  Hell, they are contributing nothing to society.  Who wants to live that way?  They are not aware of what is going on around them.  They can not feed themselves nor take care of basic bodily functions.

Let’s not kill them but allow them to kill themselves through starvation.

What the hell, right?  It’s not supposed to hurt anyway.

Well, if you feel that way, stop eating AND drinking for 4 days and report back to me when your tongue is so thick in your mouth you can’t talk or swallow.  Or the incredible gyrations your body will go through without sustenance for so long.

Can you NOT see what is going on?  Are the blinders on so tightly the slippery slope is invisible to you?

For the record, I have a cousin in Brasil who is a vegetable.  Has been for over 12 years.  Does not talk.  Does not walk.  Does not move his arms or legs or head.  Lies in a fetal position all day, all night, all year.  His mother feeds him through a tube. He got that way because of a motorcycle accident at the age of 16 coupled with almost non-existant and untimely health care.

YOU go to Brasil and tell her to stop feeding him.  She’ll tear you a new asshole.  She’ll rip you limb from limb.  Remember when they tell you this about bears, “Don’t EVER come between a mother and her cub?” That’s my aunt.

Also, for the record, my father has Parkinson’s Disease (PD).  Right now he can feed himself but is experiencing difficulty swallowing.  We all know that PD eventually will make him bedridden and he won’t be able to feed himself at all.  Any of you want to tell my mother she should just stop feeding him?  Hell, try saying that to me!

So, yes, I have a vested interest in this case.

But, this was not really my intent in writing this. I want to make you aware of a piece written in The American Digest which details exactly what Michael Schiavo is up to with his actions.

Wait until Terri dies and a year later tell me if the author is wrong.

I’m Still Pissed Off

I put off mentioning this because I was afraid my invective would have had FBI agents at my door within minutes.

So now that I am more cooled off, (as it were) I can let you know I am VERY PISSED OFF at President Bush.

Just who’s fucking constitution did he swear to protect and defend?  The United States of America’s or some other United States?  Like of North America?

And what’s with all this dick-sucking of Vincente Fox?

What is going on and what am I missing here?

Can it truly be as Vox said a few days ago?

Isn’t it bad enough we have so many illegals compared to a year ago?

Will every small town in America have to go through this?

Imagine KNOWING your town is full of illegals but because it is a federal issue you can do nothing about it?

Once more I digress.

Let’s return to Vincente George Bush.

If you want a good fisking of recent utterances by both these guys, go to Claire’s site.

And yes, I am still pissed off.

Amazing Story

Amazing Story

I got this forwarded to me late last night and it is an amazing story of endurance and survival skills.  After the tsunami in late December, stories abounded of people being discovered on deserted islands weeks afterwards.  Or of people found in the jungles; lost, confused, dazed but alive.

There were even stories of people being found floating on makeshift rafts out in the ocean weeks afterwards, too.

Even more amazing, though, is this one of a lone survivor recently found in the ocean with NO raft, NO logs, NO boat.

How did it happen?

Saturday Silliness

A golfer playing in Ireland hooked his drive into the woods.  Looking for his ball, he found a little Leprechaun flat on his back, a big bump on his head and the golfer’s ball beside him.

Horrified, the golfer got his water bottle from the cart and poured it over the little guy, reviving him.

“Arrgh! What happened?” the Leprechaun asked.

“Oh, I see.  Well, ye got me fair and square. Ye get three wishes, so whaddya want?”

“Thank God, you’re all right!” the golfer answers in relief. “I don’t want anything , I’m just glad you’re okay, and I apologize. I really didn’t
mean to hit you.” And the golfer walks off.

“What a nice guy,” the Leprechaun says to himself. “But it was fair and square that he got me, and I have to do something for him.

I’ll give him the three things I would want—a great golf game, all the money he ever needs, and a fantastic sex life.”

A year goes by (as it does in stories like this) and the American golfer is back.  On the same hole, he again hits a bad drive into woods and the
Leprechaun is there waiting for him. “‘Twas me that made ye hit the ball here,” the little guy says. “I just want to ask ye, how’s yer golf game?”

“My game is fantastic!” the golfer answers. “In fact, that’s the first bad ball I’ve hit in a year! I’m an internationally famous golfer now.” He adds, “By the way, it’s good to see you’re all right.”

“Oh, I’m fine now, thankee. I did that fer yer golf game, ya know.  And tell me, how’s yer money situation?”

“Why, it’s just wonderful!” the golfer states. “I win fortunes in golf.  If I need cash, I just reach in my pocket and pull out $100 bills I didn’t even know were there!”

“I did that fer ye also. And tell me, how’s yer sex life?”

The golfer blushes, turns his head away in embarrassment, and says shyly, “It’s OK.”

“C’mon, c’mon now,” urged the Leprechaun, “I’m wanting to know if I did good job. How many times a day?”

Blushing even more, the golfer looks around then whispers, “Once, sometimes twice a week.”

“What?!?!” responds the Leprechaun in shock. “That’s all? Only once or twice a week?”

“Well,” says the golfer, “I figure that’s not bad for a Catholic priest in a small parish.”
