killer rapist demands rights & compensation. idiot judge says, okay.

Exchanged some email with Drew last night, in which I mentioned that there was always something insane to write about in this politically correct insane place.
And I don’t expect things to be much different back home either. However, I didn’t expect to find this one so soon.

So far, I don’t think this has gone all the way and received unreserved approval. Yet.

This does fit the world upside down thing for sure.

Monster who strangled girl gets payout… because jail harmed HIS human rights: Rapist says he ‘wasn’t given rehabilitation’

Arthur Duncan raped and strangled Linda Bull in 1970, when he was 18
He is serving a life term, but claimed has had no access to treatment
A court agreed - ruling that his human rights were breached
Victim’s family said decision to back claim was a ‘kick in the teeth’

By Luke Salkeld

A convicted murderer and rapist is in line for compensation after a court ruled that his human rights were breached when he was not given rehabilitation treatment in jail.

Arthur Duncan, who raped and strangled Linda Bull, claimed he had no access to sexual offenders’ rehabilitation programmes for a period of five years.

His victim’s family described the decision to back his claim as a ‘kick in the teeth’.

One of the UK’s longest-serving prisoners, Duncan raped Miss Bull, 22, then strangled her with her tights in 1970, when he was 18.

He is serving a life term and has repeatedly been refused parole to protect the public since the murder in Andover, Hampshire. But, to the horror of his victim’s family, he is now in line for a payout.

‘My parents’ lives were left in devastation after losing their daughter in such a horrific way and they were never the same,’ said Shelagh Paynter, Miss Bull’s sister. ‘We were never offered counselling or compensation, yet the criminal seems to have the help.

‘We aren’t asking for anything, but our lives have been in turmoil. We are the victims here and we didn’t get anything, so why should he? It’s disgusting.’

Mrs Paynter, 62, a retired social worker who lives in Dorset, said criminals who commit such heinous crimes should forfeit their human rights.

‘We have all suffered because of what happened and we will continue to suffer but hearing that he is in line for a payout is just a kick in the teeth,’ she said.

Duncan claimed his rights under article five of the European Convention on Human Rights, which protects liberty and security, were breached when he had no chance to access sexual offenders’ programmes between April 2007 and July last year.

Officials argued that there had been no failures and that progress through rehabilitation was ‘very much a matter of judgment for the prison authorities’.

They said fantasies involving bondage and non-consensual sex offending had been ‘an ongoing issue’. But judge Lord Glennie ruled in Duncan’s favour last month.

He said officials had ‘simply failed to provide him with programmes and courses which they themselves recognised were a necessary part of his rehabilitation’.

He also said they were necessary ‘to enable him to make progress towards having an effective review before the parole board’.

The judge said a further hearing should take place before a final decision is made.

diversity, diversity.  all bend a knee to the newest religion

OK boys and girls and others. Pay attention.

Job Offer from ....

Politically correct more than welcome. Indeed, wanted at once.

I think all of us agree on being judged by ability to do the job.  But lately there are more and more calls for diversity and demands to hire this one and that one because, there are not enough of one or two groups represented in various professions. One authority figure for example, blasted a sports panel show for having all white guys on it. The demand has been made to remove them or some of them and place coloreds and women in their stead. Oh right. And the 3rd sex too. Can’t omit them.

Although it has nothing to do with this story ... the idea of equality as the left wants it done, isn’t realistic.  There are calls for placing people in places that smack of quotas.  What the heck ... that’s the world today.  Don’t defend your country ‘by any means possible’, but by any means whatever, enforce equality even where it might not exist.  If the left doesn’t mean it that way, it sure is the impression I have of what they mean.

007, licensed to be politically correct: MI6 job advert (endorsed by gay rights group) seeks spies ‘committed to diversity and equality’

MI6 has signed up to Stonewall’s diversity champions programme

It aims to make workplaces ‘gay friendly’ and compliant with equality law

By Jack Doyle

The Secret Intelligence Service says it wants ‘empathetic’ recruits who are ‘able to get on with diverse groups of people’.

image

In its advert, reproduced above, MI6 proudly displays its equality credentials by carrying a Stonewall gay rights logo. Anyone interested in ‘guns and fast cars’ need not apply.

The details are included in an advert for intelligence officer posts, published yesterday in the Economist newspaper.

The officers collect, analyse and report secret intelligence material from around the world.

The job advert – presented as a flowchart – has questions including ‘Do you want to protect your country?’, ‘Do you have an instinctive curiosity?’ and ‘Can you be trusted?’. Applicants are also asked about their language skills and whether they want to carry out work overseas.

Hopefuls must say if they are male or female before being told their gender does not matter. The same goes for sexuality and ethnicity – although candidates must have British nationality.

Secrecy is a key issue naturally. Anyone answering yes to the question ‘Would you tell anyone else about your application?’ is told ‘Thank you for your time’.

An identical response is given to anyone believing that MI6 is ‘all guns and fast cars’.

Where Bond routinely defies his bosses and breaks the rules, the MI6 advert warns against the idea that Britain must be protected ‘by any means possible’.

MI6 has signed up to Stonewall’s diversity champions programme, which aims to make workplaces ‘gay friendly’ and ensure employers comply with equalities legislation.

MI6, formally Secret Intelligence Service, British government agency responsible for the collection, analysis, and appropriate dissemination of foreign intelligence. MI6 is also charged with the conduct of espionage activities outside British territory. It has existed in various forms since the establishment of a secret service in 1569 by Sir Francis Walsingham, who became secretary of state to Queen Elizabeth I. It was constituted in its present form in 1912 by Commander (later Sir) Mansfield Cumming as part of Britain’s attempt to coordinate intelligence activities prior to the outbreak of World War I. In the 1930s and ’40s it was considered the most effective intelligence service in the world. Following the rise to power of Adolf Hitler in Germany, MI6 conducted espionage operations in Europe, Latin America, and much of Asia. (The name “MI6” label originated during this period, when the agency was “section six” of military intelligence.)

When the United States entered World War II, MI6 helped to train personnel of the U.S. Office of Strategic Services; it has since cooperated with the OSS’s successor, the Central Intelligence Agency (CIA). In the mid-1950s, the British public reacted with consternation when it was revealed that MI6 had been penetrated by British double agents who had served the Soviet Union since the 1930s. Details of MI6 operations and relationships seldom appeared in the British press until the 1990s, when the previously secretive organization publicly named its head for the first time. Nevertheless, information about MI6 is still much more closely guarded than that about MI5, which carries out internal security and domestic counterintelligence activities. The agency has the power to censor news accounts of its activities through the use of “D” notices under the Official Secrets Act. MI6 reports to the Foreign Office.

son kills innocent man, mom says it was accident and no big deal, asks why the fuss.

Saw this in morning paper and knew I had to boot and get this out of my system, in a manner of speaking.

On Tuesday I posted an article about some poor guy who was punched, fell to the ground, hit his head on the pavement and died.  It could have been an unintended consequence but there was no reason at all, for the mud person to hit the fellow to begin with.  In fact if you look at the photos, the victim was glancing away from the killer when he struck. But no matter. Two things that matter are, 1) the thug’s mother who has said, “It’s no big deal” and asks, “why all the fuss?”

The hand that rocks the cradle indeed.
Not that it excuses the murderous piece of filth we are encouraged to view as human, and cautioned about using language that may offend him because it’s always seen as racist to do so.

The second thing that matters and I think it matters a lot, is the judge in Winchester who sentenced the killer to four years.
Well … here’s a bit of judgy background on him.

He is the self same idiot judge who called for silence in court to commemorate the death of a gang member shot by police. This was the shooting of Mark Duggan which was the excuse used to riot and burn a few cities over the course of a week.

Killing a man? ‘It’s no big deal’: A sneer from mother of thug who punched Asperger’s sufferer, as Attorney General is deluged with calls to increase sentence

· Andrew Young, 40, died in hospital after he was punched by Lewis Gill
· Mr Young had become involved in an argument with Gill’s friend
· Gill pleaded guilty to manslaughter and was jailed for four-and-a-half years
· Now his mother has said she did not know ‘what all the fuss was about’

By Rebecca Evans and Jack Doyle

The mother of a thug who killed an autistic man dismissed his crime as ‘no big deal’ last night.

In a display of callous indifference, Sherron O’Hagan said she did not know ‘what all the fuss was about’.

image

Her son Lewis Gill killed Andrew Young with a single punch in an unprovoked attack captured on CCTV.
He was given just four years but a public outcry may lead to a longer sentence.
The Attorney General says he will examine whether the jail term was too short.

Dominic Grieve’s office was deluged with more than 110 complaints within hours of the case becoming public.
Mr Young’s mother Pamela has dismissed the sentence as an ‘absolute joke’ – Gill could even be free within two years.

But Mrs O’Hagan, speaking from her home in Sutton, South London, yesterday insisted her son was a ‘good kid’.

The 41-year-old mother of three told the Mail: ‘It was just an accident. It’s not a big deal. This will all be forgotten tomorrow. He’s my son, what do you want me to say? He didn’t mean to kill him and that’s that.’

Mrs O’Hagan, who was not married to Gill’s father Richard McKenzie, added: ‘This story will be the lining of chips tomorrow. I just don’t understand what all the fuss is about.’

Gill, a convicted robber, punched 40-year-old Mr Young to the ground on a busy Bournemouth street on November 6 last year.
Shocking CCTV footage shows him calmly walking forward to deliver the deadly punch after Mr Young reprimanded his friend for cycling on the pavement.

But Judge stays silent over short sentence

The judge who sent Lewis Gill to prison for just four years did not respond to criticism of what has been called an ‘extremely lenient’ sentence.
Keith Cutler, 63, refused to discuss the case yesterday at Winchester Crown Court where he spent the day hearing a trial into an alleged conspiracy to commit blackmail.

The judge has however previously spoken about his approach to sentencing.

He has said in an interview: ‘Every offence has its different features, every mitigation has its own strengths and all those elements are brought into sentencing.’
He added: ‘Some cases get to you. When I come out of court, I say “That’s it. I’ve made my decision.  If I am wrong the Court of Appeal will deal with it”.’
The father of two, who is a lay canon at Salisbury Cathedral, has also defended his sometimes controversial approach to the legal process.

This was most notable in his handling of the inquest into the shooting of Mark Duggan, where he held a 20-second silence to commemorate the gangster’s death.
The judge admits that he enjoys having the power to show leniency but he reacted angrily to ministerial criticism of ‘soft’ sentencing back in 2006 when he was secretary of the Council of Circuit Judges.

In October 2004, he handed teenager Louis Moroncini an 18-month supervision order for striking Beverley Brennan round the head with a 4ft wooden pole during a robbery.

Judge Cutler told the defendant: ‘You know, and I know, that you richly deserve custody and you would have got three years. But you must know that if you fail me and go wrong on this order, you will be back before the courts.’

In September 2004, Abdel Atif Gholam, 29, an Afghan refugee who had no licence or insurance when he veered on to the wrong side of the road and killed a motorcyclist, was jailed by Judge Cutler for just two years.

The judge lives in a sprawling six-bedroom detached house in the heart of the English countryside.
Situated off a quiet lane, the £1million property offers picturesque views and has a well-tended garden packed with tall trees and ancient woodland.

source

Sure hope the cemetery poor Mr. Young is buried in, is as well tended as that garden mentioned above.  Were there a view that Young could see, I’m sure the view below would not make for anything “picturesque”.
But it’s no big deal.

The so called justice system appears to have very little of that about it.

a future clash of civilizations ?  do you really think it will be allowed?

Don’t hear from too many of these folks, and when we do, it isn’t too often.
So I thought it would be worth sharing here.

I know from what I read and also from some correspondence as well as the comments made here at bmews, that my home country (USA) is not free from the curse of this group. However .... you’d have to live for awhile on this side of the water to fully appreciate how much bending of the knee to them is done, and what problems a small but growing number have caused.  And btw ... they are not the only ones.

Sadly, this country is awash with folks who come here from places many here had never known existed.  They come here with their unpronounceable and impossible to spell names and the natives are somehow required to do the adapting, the accommodation, and smile while doing so least one be thought of as some sort of racist phobic.  Gone are the days when it was of the utmost importance for immigrants to learn the language of their host country.
As well, this country has open borders in ways that America does not.

On Thursday, 27 February, the European Parliament will vote on whether the United Arab Emirates should join the Schengen Agreement, which would provide their citizens with visa-free travel throughout European Union member states.

Thank whatever god you pray to or believe in, that America isn’t officially signed up with that god awful agreement, that has seen thousands from turd world countries who don’t speak the language or have a clue with regard to the host country culture and traditions and religion(s) and who, furthermore, do not give a damn.

Who Is to Blame for “Islamophobia” in the UK?

by Mudar Zahran

If you look at the London Tube Bombing of 7/7; the Madrid Train Bombing; two attacks on the World Trade Center; the murders of Lee Rigby, Theo Van Gogh, Daniel Pearl, Nick Berg, Ilan Halimi, and countless other attack and threats, how can we honestly expect people not to be “Islamophobic”? It would appear we have no one to blame but ourselves.

If we Muslims are actually opposed to these Islamist hate preachers, why are we failing to take a unanimous public stance against them, to disown and isolate them from our community?

After the murder of British soldier Lee Rigby by Islamic extremists in London last May, The Guardian reported a surge in the number of anti-Muslim offenses.

Also, last May, a poll by the British research firm, YouGov, showed that nearly two-thirds of Britons believe there will be a “clash of civilizations” between British Muslims and white Britons, and 34% believe that Muslims pose a serious threat to democracy.

As a Muslim living in the UK, I wonder, who is to blame for the increase in anti-Muslim feelings in the U.K.? Or is the problem “Islamophobia”?

If one dispassionately examines facts, it seems possible that if “Islamophobia” exists in the U.K., then perhaps we Muslims are to blame for it.

For a start, let us look at the murder of soldier Lee Rigby, who was butchered in Woolwich, near his army barracks, on May 22, 2013 by two British Muslim converts.

The murderers, Michael Adebolajo and Michael Adebowale were both 29 and born to Christian families. Both are reported by the Daily Mail to have been inspired by the British Muslim cleric Anjem Choudary. Therefore, can we Muslims blame the British public if they fear for their young men and women, and would prefer them not to associate with us and possibly become Islamically radicalized?

Anjem Choudary—the Muslim cleric who “inspired” Rigby’s murderers—has a lavish history of inciting Islamic fundamentalism and hatred against Britain. He refused, for example, to condemn the July 7, 2005 London bombings and even spoke favorably about the “black flag of Sharia flying over Downing Street [the Prime Ministers’ office] by 2020”.

In an interview on April 11, 2013 Choudhry said, “As Muslims, we reject democracy, we reject secularism, and freedom, and human rights. We reject all of the things that you espouse as being ideals ... There is nothing called a republic in Islam. When we talk about the sharia, we are talking about only the sharia. We are talking about rejecting the U.N., the IMF, and the World Bank.”

So, why then, if Choudhry and other Islamist fundamentalists so oppose the British values of democracy and human rights, do they choose to stay in the UK? No one is keeping them here against their will.

Also, if we Muslims in the UK disagree with what Choudhry and his like-minded associates are saying, why do we never speak out against it? If we are actually opposed these Islamist hate preachers, why are we failing to take a unanimous public stance to disown and isolate them from our community?

The non-Muslims must be also asking themselves the same questions, and logically assuming from our silence that we agree.

One final item as long as the subject happens to be the ROP.  From another part of the world but never far removed from Western civilization, news from
Nigeria this morning and no doubt making news where you are.

Islamic extremists murdered 59 students at a school dormitory in a dawn attack. They locked the doors and fire to the building, then cut the throats of those who managed to escape the inferno.

Just your average freedom fighter at war with civilization.

Putin under fire for …. putting russia first.  what is he thinking? bad pooty. naughty.

I must share this.  I listened to a couple of minutes of a panel news program last night. Had to shut it as all four of the panel appeared to be libs with the usual.
But what stood out was ONE remark made by one of them with regard to Putin, who he referred to as a thug because (among other things)

Putin he said,

“cared only about Russia and Russian interests”

Well damn! The very nerve of the guy who heads the govt. there. Imagine if the president of the USA had an attitude like that. Well I never.

nothing we haven’t been aware of for a long time, but interesting reading anyway. also scary!

H/T Cherson and Molschky
May be an odd name for a blog site but it works for me.  Wasn’t looking for it, just ran across it.
Nothing here we were not aware of. But it is still an interesting if frightening read.  I guess lots of ppl are aware of the threat. Doesn’t seem like there’s anything anyone can or is willing to do.  Questions come up like; how do you deal with one of them born here in the west?  Hmmm. I suppose not letting them get born to begin with might be a good start. Mass deportation?

Just random thoughts of no importance really because .... to do anything like that, you would first have to deal with the libtard left.  That 5th column.  By deal with .... only one way and there is no sign that it can be done. Not in my lifetime anyway.

The article is a bit long but quite interesting anyway, so I’ve only posted a small part here. Link below.

Britain’s Fate Is Sealed Following Muslim Baby Boom

In January 2014, it was announced that 320,000 children (aged under five) out of a total of 3.5 million are born into Muslim families in England and Wales. This is approximately 9.2% and demonstrates a colossal demographic change in the younger population.

Leftists and liberals have always scoffed at the suggestion of higher Muslim birth rates, calling it the fiction of ‘right-wing nut-jobs’. Well I don’t want to say I told you so, but it is damning evidence of the exponential Muslim growth compared to the rest of society!

Even in politically correct Britain the newsreaders had tellingly unenthusiastic expressions as they delivered the news to the nation; however there was no elaboration on the true horror of what this trend actually means. Barely registering more than a cursory check in the mainstream media, this demographic shift has far reaching consequences for the future direction Britain will take.

In the 2001 UK census, Muslims accounted for 3% of the population. Yet a decade later, in the 2011 census, due to birth rates and uncontrolled (and unwanted) Muslim immigration, the figure ‘officially’ rose to 4.8% (not including illegal immigrants). Now with Muslims currently reproducing at double the rate of everyone else, Britain’s future looks more Islamic than ever.

Why We Should Worry

There is certainly a case that the non-Muslim population is not reproducing enough, but why is the expanding Muslim population such an issue? Pamela Geller describes in the article; ‘The Effects of Mass Muslim Immigration’ some of the many concerns we should have, but I would like to add some additional valid fears.

Firstly, it matters because if these trends continue over the next couple of generations it will destroy the UK economically. (Y.K. Cherson describes the implications of this in ‘How the West Is Committing Financial Suicide’). One example being in 2010 it was revealed that over 50% of Muslim men and over 75% of Muslim women were economically inactive in the UK. Also studies have shown that 55% of British Pakistanis are married to first cousins, and in Bradford, this rises to 75%. So whilst the ‘average Brit’ was working hard and paying taxes, those taxes were paying for the ‘average Muslim’ to not work, marry their cousin and recklessly have children (approximately half of Britain’s Muslims have Pakistani heritage). If this cycle does not stop, the nation will then go into financial meltdown, if it has not already. Interestingly, despite Muslims making up around 22% of the global population, they account for only 5% GDP.

one problem and two different ways to face it.

A tale of two towns.  Well, one is a city and the other is a village.

I keep promising myself I won’t bother with this kind of post, and here I am again. Sometimes, some things can’t be avoided.

Take a look.

Council to blow £2.5MILLION to turn this squalid travellers’ site into a deluxe park. Caravans will have their own driveway, lighting and soundproofing and cost the same as a first-time buyer’s property

Critics said it would be cheaper to buy houses for the travellers in Bath
Gypsies moved onto the council-owned greenfield site five years ago
Lib Dem-controlled authority bizarrely claim building the site will save them money as they won’t have to keep moving the travellers along
The site is currently a muddy field with litter piled high

By Rob Cooper

A council is planning to spend £2.5million on a traveller site for just 13 caravans - which will cost as much as the average first time buyer spends to get on the property ladder.

Bath and North East Somerset Council will spend £190,000 ( $ 317,092.92 ) on each pitch on the green belt site while neighbouring properties sell for just £160,000.

Opposition councillors have slammed the project and insisted it would be cheaper to buy properties for gypsies to live in.

image

HERE, for the rest

However .... in another place with another group, a village decides to take the vermin on and not accommodate and appease.

Victory for villagers as gypsies are FINALLY told they will be evicted from illegal camp… but four-year battle has cost taxpayers £200,000

The Supreme Court has rejected pleas for the travellers to be allowed to appeal eviction ordered by the Court of Appeal
Gypsies moved on to site in ‘military-style’ operation overnight four years ago - after council offices had closed for the weekend
Group had argued that eviction would violate their children’s human rights
Council has spent £200,000 fighting the case since November 2009

By Lucy Crossley

A group of gypsies who used human rights laws to stay in their illegal camp for more than four years have finally been told to move on - leaving taxpayers with a legal bill of £200,000.

The 78 Irish travellers, who hail from just four families, had refused to budge despite facing three different courts, a planning inquiry, a council, and a battle by locals who accused the group of trashing their village.

Last October the camp in Hardhorn, Lancashire, who had flouted planning rules, appeared to have lost its case when they were told to move out by the Court of Appeal.

However, despite being given four months to quit the site without the chance to appeal, the group used a loophole to take their case to the Supreme Court claiming the eviction ‘violated’ the human rights of the 39 children living on the site in 60 caravans.

Now the Supreme Court has rejected pleas for the travellers’ to be allowed the right of appeal under a ‘point of law of general public importance’.

it’s said this is the worst in more than 200 years.

‘Chris Smith is a coward, a little git and I’ll flush his head down the loo’:

Tory MP’s extraordinary attack on Environment Agency boss as he arrives to see flood-hit families in Somerset

The Labour peer, who has faced criticism for the quango’s decision to stop dredging rivers in flood-prone area, was today meeting residents in Somerset, many of whom have called for him to resign.

By Luke Salkeld and Jason Groves and Ray Massey and James Rush and Matt Chorley

So what’s that all about?

Well, it is my understanding that areas have not been dredged as they had been, because the agency that sees to things, or doesn’t as in this case, did no dredging because ….
It was feared the dredging would disturb the birdies.
I didn’t make that up.
Heard on the radio last night, and it’s what ppl are talking about today.

Now then having said that, the chairman of the agency is Labour Party, which you should know is left wing and so no surprise about watching out for the birds and all that. BUT … the truth is, I really don’t know if that’s the whole truth and nothing but because …. it’s conservatives who are making noise and that’s probably, it has been suggested, the right trying to make gains because there is an important election in 2015.
That’s what I have heard and read.

Wife and I fortunate so far, that the biggest part of the storm which did damage in this area, was not near as bad as in other parts of the country.

And ….

Another storm, more rain, more wind due by Sunday, with rain starting tonight here.

The winds have already started to kick up a fuss.  The rain is bad enough but .... it’s always the wind the most worrisome .

A few shots of a tamer nature ... see the links.

ridiculed by colleagues and forced to resign, gets $700,000 payout

Extreme weather continues, lots more flooding in other parts of the country. Cold and wet and high winds again but fortunately, no floods in this general area.

Going back at least 11 months for this. Maybe you remember the video. ??

Well, just to recap briefly.  The old boy driving the car, claimed that the reason he did not stop when he noticed the flashing blue lights, was because he thought cops were after someone else as he was driving, he claimed, the correct limit.  So cop car finally gets him to stop and one cop especially loses it and trashes the old man’s car.  So why is it news 11 months later?

Here’s why.

In American dollars that works out to:  $702,461.81

My £430,000 payout is massive - but I DESERVE it’: Ex-policeman ‘ridiculed out of job’ over internet video of him smashing up pensioner’s Range Rover says attack was ‘not over the top’

PC Mike Baillon and a colleague were filmed using truncheons on windows of Range Rover in 2009 and clip was watched 30million times online
They had pursued the car after the driver, 74, made off from earlier stop
Mr Baillon won the six-figure sum from Gwent Police for loss of his pension
He accepted that the figure was ‘an awful lot’, but defended his conduct
Said the footage is ‘shocking’ but ‘perfectly acceptable’ in context
Added he will never be policeman again, and that new business is struggling

By Kieran Corcoran

The police officer who was awarded a £430,000 payout after he was filmed smashing a pensioner’s car window with a metal baton has conceded that the award is a ‘massive’ amount of money.

PC Mike Baillon, 47, who served with Gwent Police as a traffic officer, became a viral sensation after a two-minute clip of the incident was uploaded to the internet.

He said that he was ridiculed by colleagues following the incident and was forced to resign after senior officers removed him from frontline duties.

Mr Baillon can be seen in the footage hitting the window of a Range Rover 15 times at the conclusion of a 17-minute police chase, while a colleague stood on the car’s bonnet and kicked in its windscreen.

The driver, 74-year-old stroke victim Robert Whatley, has since described the payout as ‘totally unreasonable’.

Speaking today in the wake of the tribunal ruling, against which Gwent Police appealed unsuccessfully, Mr Baillon admitted that the lump sum was ‘an awful lot of money’, but less than he would have been able to earn as a serving officer.

He said: ‘It’s a lot of money, but when you consider that that’s ten years net salary, it’s about seven years of gross salary and then there’s no pension.

It goes nowhere near to replacing what I would have had had I been allowed to carry on in my job’, he told Radio 5 live.

Justifying the huge payout, which is mainly to replace his pension, he said: ‘A police pension is a very valuable asset to a police officer – we pay a lot of money into it and equally we get a lot of money out of it.

‘And in order to try and replace that with a private pension is nigh on impossible.

‘For the figure of £429,000 they had actuaries work out what sum I would need to invest today to achieve the same benefits to what I would have had on my date of retirement, had I been allowed to carry on through the police.

Scrutiny of American military bases in Britain could be increased dramatically.

Posting this because ... I am almost certain it won’t make the news in the USA.

I suppose Brits have some rights on what goes on in their own country.  What really bothers me though is, this whole thing is the work of the left and the useful idiots who enable them.  However, if it’s an American base, aren’t we paying rent for the place?
Just some food for thought with the info for you that, this report comes from a left wing newspaper.  Sometimes they do have opinions from the right, and at least they are not the Guardian.  So I skip the really anti American diatribes from a few of the jerks who will never find anything we do the right thing, unless they approve of it.  Which translated of course means we would have to come around to their way of thinking and seeing things. They’d be happy to approve of us then.
Screw em.  It’s really more than spying on friends although yes, that does bother the heck out of our critics friend and foe alike.
But the real underlying thing that has their collective knickers in a twist, is America’s use of drones.  Especially drones being launched or even controlled from their homeland or possessions.

Peers call for proper scrutiny of American military bases in UK used for drone strikes and mass spying

By Cahal Milmo

Scrutiny of American military bases in Britain could be increased dramatically for the first time in more than 60 years under cross-party proposals provoked by evidence that the installations are being used for drone strikes and mass spying activities.

Draft proposals tabled by peers from all three major parties demand that the Government overhaul the “outdated” rules under which the Pentagon’s network of UK outposts operate following claims of British complicity in US drone missions in the Middle East and eavesdropping on European allies.

The Independent revealed last year that RAF Croughton, the US Air Force base and CIA relay station in Northamptonshire, was used to funnel back to Washington data from the network of diplomatic spy posts implicated in the monitoring of the mobile phone of German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

The same base has a secure data link to a US counter-terrorism facility in Djibouti used for drone strikes in Yemen while questions remain about the use of other US bases in Britain, in particular the National Security Agency eavesdropping facility at RAF Menwith Hill in North Yorkshire.

The revelations have fuelled concern in Parliament that British oversight of the bases, which operate under the 1951 Status of Forces Agreement, is outmoded and in urgent need of drastic revision because the legislation was drawn up long before technology such as drones or mass surveillance.

Three senior peers from the Conservatives, Labour and the Liberal Democrats - along with a crossbencher - have tabled amendments to defence legislation currently going through the House of Lords demanding that the Government considers the introduction of measures including a new “scrutiny group” for each US base to ensure all activities carried out comply with British law.

Under current arrangements, each US base is nominally under the command of a British officer but critics say meaningful oversight is impossible.

There’s a lot more to read on this topic and some of you will find it of interest.

caught in the act, a video you will not enjoy.

In another post, a guy is arrested and charged and goes to trial which fortunately turned in his favor. He was defending his property and himself.
A jury in effect told the prosecutor persecutor up yours, and it only took 20 minutes.  Of course, the defendant in that case had to wait months and months to find out if he had a life and future.

But justice is a funny thing.  Or perhaps how some judges, judge it.
Here’s a case you can watch and see for yourselves, no question about what happened.
But judgy-pudgy buys the bogus BS and the bastard perp (immigrant more than likely judging by his unpronounceable name; Vitalijis Zavjalovs, and how is that for a handle?) perp is “remorseful” we are told.  There are hundreds of thousands of “remorseful” scum roaming free here so hey, must be a nice and peaceful and tranquil place. Yeah, right.

‘You used a weapon - your foot - we believe it deserves a custodial sentence but you have been shown leniency because you have shown remorse and it was an isolated incident and you have previous good character.’

Says softy-wufty judgy.

Karen Schofield, defending, said: ‘His recollection of the incident is somewhat vague. He had consumed an extremely large quantity of alcohol.

Says perp scum’s lawyer who luckily we may imagine, was never a crime victim.

‘He does not go out regularly at weekends, he cannot put forward any legitimate reason why he drank this much on this occasion.’

She continues shoveling the BS at the court. Hey, the old expression works here too. Dazzle em with bull shit.

So being on a roll the scum bag's mouthpiece continues.

‘He is a man who is not a violent individual. He regrets what happened and is remorseful that he caused injury to a male that simply he does not know.’

Well, he’s remorseful. Isn’t that nice?
Judgy thinks so because ...

Zavjalovs, from Wigan, pleaded guilty to a charge of assault by beating. He received a four month custodial sentence suspended for 12 months with a specified activity requirement.

He will also have to undertake 250 hours of unpaid work, pay £600 compensation to the victim, a £80 victim surcharge and £85 costs, adding up to a total of £765.

Hit the bastards where it hurts. In the pocketbook. That’ll learn em okay.
Erm ..... unless they’re on benefits of course and we all know who eventually really gets to pay.

Female recruits get £100,000 compensation each… because they were made to march like men

This story is a month old but no less interesting for that.

I’ve been digging my way thru news clippings I’ve been taking out of papers.  I manage to get so far behind in my efforts that sometimes, and this is one of them, where I actually can’t easily recall if I have already posted.  My habit is to discard immediately papers and clipping that have been used.  So, since I still have this and can’t seem to find another mention of it here at bmews, altho late ...  here it is.

Now then .... is this a bit of nonsense or do the ladies have a point?

I don’t recall ever hearing or reading women complain in the past.  I’m trying to remember and having a hard time of it but; When I was in the Navy I don’t believe our Waves wore skirts quite as tight as those shown here. Seems to me the dresses were a bit fuller.  Not too much so but still not tight.  Has memory failed me or have I remembered correctly?

Female RAF recruits get £100,000 compensation each… because they were made to march like men

Women claimed injuries were caused by parading alongside male colleagues
They have been awarded compensation after a five-year legal battle
The women received more than soldiers who suffered wounds in combat

By Mark Nichol

Three female RAF recruits have each been awarded £100,000 by the Ministry of Defence after suffering injuries caused by marching in step with their male colleagues.

image

The women claimed that parading alongside taller male recruits caused them to over-stride, a repetitive motion which, when repeated over several weeks, led them to develop spinal and pelvic injuries.

Now, after a five-year bitter legal battle, which saw the MoD accuse the women of exaggerating their symptoms, they have been awarded more compensation than soldiers who suffered serious gunshot wounds in Afghanistan.

Despite the fact that the women – aged 17, 22 and 23 at the time – were injured in the first nine weeks of their RAF training, they have been compensated for nine years of lost earnings and pension perks.

All have recovered and have successful careers outside the military.

The payouts come as the Armed Forces’ compensation bill for 2012/13 topped £108.9million – up £21million on the previous financial year.

former Defence Minister Gerald Howarth said: ‘This case is completely and utterly ridiculous – it belongs in the land of the absurd.

‘The defence budget is strapped and we’re making 20,000 troops redundant, yet these former recruits are being paid six-figure sums.

‘The MoD must stand up to the compensation culture and get the wider public on its side. If the RAF has erred in its training procedures it is because of society’s obsession with gender equality.

‘Every pound they’ve been awarded should be clawed back by offsetting their compensation against future earnings.’

Good God what kind of formation is that?  Are they in boot camp?

ambulance crew too busy … having a break … can’t come now … man dies.

I was going through my usual shutdown routine, it’s late, I don’t even have the time to check my bmews inbox.
I caught this at the last minute, it is not the first time I have read or heard similar.

I don’t know if things could have been better in the old days. I’d think not but then read things like this.  Might not be so worrisome if this were a one time affair.  Well, yeah you’d have it in the back of your mind I guess. But when it happens more than 2wice or 3 times. In one case the crew when the wrong way and got themselves lost.  Does not inspire much confidence.

Take a look.

‘This is the 4th time I’ve rung for an ambulance for my husband… it’s too late now, he’s gone’:

Woman’s desperate 999 call after her husband became ill and died

Fred Pring died of heart failure waiting almost an hour for an ambulance
Retired gardener’s wife Joyce had begged the emergency service for help
By the time paramedics arrived the 74-year-old had died

By Liz Hull

A woman made four increasingly desperate 999 calls after her husband became ill with chest pains, eventually telling the operator: ‘It’s too late now, he’s gone.’

Fred Pring, 74, died of heart failure while waiting almost an hour for an ambulance after paramedics initially refused to attend because they were due a break, an inquest heard yesterday.

In a string of harrowing calls the retired gardener’s wife Joyce, 63, had begged the emergency service for help for her husband.

By the time paramedics arrived more than 50 minutes after the first call it was too late.

Delays in A&E meant paramedics had had to wait up to 99 minutes to hand over patients to hospital staff, and there were no ambulances available.

When a crew was found they refused to attend because they were due a break.

if those old slave traders could have seen today, would they still?

This is a bit of info I grabbed from the net to give you some idea of who this total jackass is. This jerk. This disgusting bag of poo.

What person, and from what kind of culture, would believe this to be an appropriate portrait and an official one at that. Ppl like this scag look in the mirror and see ... what the hell do they think they see?

And get this folks.

This gross “portrait” is we are informed .... taxpayer funded.  Now if that isn’t one huge insult, what is?

sick - sick - sick and stupid too.

First, the background.

Diane Abbott is a British Labour Party politician who has been the Member of Parliament (MP) for Hackney North and Stoke Newington since 1987, when she became the first black woman to be elected to the House of Commons.[1] In 2010, Abbott became Shadow Public Health Minister after unsuccessfully standing for election as leader of the Labour Party but was removed in a reshuffle three years later.

She was Race Relations Officer at the National Council for Civil Liberties (1978 to 1980).

In 1988 Abbott claimed, at a black studies conference in Philadelphia, that “the British invented racism."[46]

In 1996, Abbott attracted widespread criticism when she claimed that at her local hospital “blonde, blue-eyed Finnish girls” were unsuitable as nurses because they had “never met a black person before”.  The secretary of the all-party Finland group of MPs, Conservative Ian Bruce responded by accusing her of using racial stereotypes, adding: “All Scandinavian countries have people from African and Caribbean countries living there. It shows ignorance to make such remarks.” Abbott’s apology came as Marc Wandsworth, executive member of the Anti-Racist Alliance, who is himself half Finnish, pointed out that the present Miss Finland, Lola Odusoga, is black, of Nigerian and Finnish descent. “She’s a black Finn like me” he said. Abbott’s position was supported by fellow Labour MP Bernie Grant “Bringing someone here from Finland who has never seen a black person before and expecting them to have to have some empathy with black people is nonsense. Scandinavian people don’t know black people - they probably don’t know how to take their temperature”.

Abbott referred to David Cameron and Nick Clegg as “two posh white boys from the Home Counties” in May 2010.[50]

On 4 January 2012, Abbott tweeted that: “White people love playing ‘divide and rule’ We should not play their game”, which again led to widespread criticism including accusations of racism.[51] Only after being told by the Labour Party leadership that the comment was unacceptable did she apologise for “any offence caused”, claiming that she had not intended to “make generalisations about white people”. The Deputy Prime Minister called her comments a “stupid and crass generalisation”. Nadhim Zahawi, Conservative MP, said: “This is racism. If this was a white member of Parliament saying that all black people want to do bad things to us he would have resigned within the hour or been sacked.”

Now here was the headline and she wasn’t alone in this but .... she sure looks the worst.

Parliament of posers: Taxpayer billed £250,000 for MPs to order paintings, statues and photographs of each other

Since 1995, two dozen politicians have been captured on canvas
Tony Blair, John Major and Paddy Ashdown among those chosen
Ex-Commons Speaker Betty Boothroyd has been featured 3 times
John Bercow spent £22,000 on a painting and another £15,000 on a frame

By Matt Chorley, Mailonline Political Editor and Gerri Peev

Here’s a link to the whole story But FIRST, I want you to know what the taxpayer shelled out for her portrait.

Think about people.  What sane person would allow themselves to be viewed this way, and at a cost of, in American dollars to make it easy for ya ....

$19,297.00

FOR THIS

image

And yet they demand we must see them as, just everyday ordinary people.  Yeah. Well maybe in some jungle someplace and not even then.

How sad to read the above about, “ All Scandinavian countries have people from African and Caribbean countries living there”.
I’ll bet they do. And I bet they have a higher crime rate than they used to.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. 1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
