Terrorism suspect given ‘victim’ status by Polish legal authorities
A terrorism suspect who claims he was detained and tortured at a secret CIA site in Poland has been granted the status of “victim” by the Polish legal authorities.

The status gives credence to allegations by Abd al-Rahim al-Nashiri, a Saudi citizen suspected by the US of involvement in the bombing of the warship USS Cole in 2000, that he was held at an airfield in Poland and subjected to harsh interrogation tactics, including being threatened with an electric drill, by American intelligence officers in 2002.

“Granting ‘victim status’ means that the prosecutor’s office is, to a great extent, convinced of the argumentation that he was rendered and held illegally on the territory of Poland,” said Adam Bodnar from the Helsinki Foundation for Human Rights.

The legal move, which allows Mr Al-Nashiri ‘s lawyers to view evidence and appeal against decisions, comes as part of a two-year investigation by Polish prosecutors into whether the CIA operated a clandestine camp in Poland as part of its anti-terrorism operations.

Poland’s former leaders have always denied the existence of a so-called black-site.

Aleksander Kwasniewski, Polish president in 2002, said “that there were no prisons” although he conceded that US flights had landed at Szymany Airport, the suspected location of the camp, in north-east Poland.

Despite the denial, there is mounting evidence that the US operated a secret base in Poland from December 2002 to the autumn of 2003, and that detainees were subject to torture.

Last month a declassified report by the Inspector General of the CIA revealed that an agent code-named “Albert” used techniques unauthorised by the US justice department on Mr Al-Nashiri in Poland.

Any reason we can’t just go to nukes? Maybe just Yemen to start. Oh right. Somalia too. I guess we must have the permission of the euros and the aclu and we know that’s not gonna happen. 
Why do authorities and the media continue to claim that some of these sub-humans, are Americans.  They are NOT Americans.  I don’t care if they’re born in the USA, they are NOT Americans. 

I have heard on radio news that soon, one of the Gitmo sub species will have a civilian trial in a court. Not military.  Why oh why can’t we simply put em on a plane, chained , and then simply drop them out over the sea.  Think of the money it would save.  Then deny we did anything like that and simply say the plane went down in The Bermuda Triangle and we’re looking.  When aclu or human right jerks come calling or insist on an investigation say fine. Oh by the way, do you have any children that might like an airplane ride?  Hey, this is a different kind of war that we have ever fought. A different sort of enemy.  If we fight by using the Marques of Queensbury Rules, we lose. Big Time ! 

Al-Qaeda magazine published ‘tips on how to kill Americans’

A magazine run by the Yemeni group al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula has published a list of tips on how to kill Americans.

“A random hit at a crowded restaurant in Washington, DC at lunch ... might end up knocking out a few government employees,” one article reads, according to the private SITE Intelligence Group, which studies, tracks and analyses the global jihadist network and terrorism financing.

The edition also includes “The Ultimate Mowing Machine,” which describes how to use a pickup truck “as a mowing machine, not to mow grass, but mow down the enemies of Allah.” It says “to achieve maximum carnage, you need to pick up as much speed as you can while still retaining good control . . . to strike as many people as possible in your first run.”

The magazine includes two articles by renegade US cleric Anwar al-Awlaki, who is on a US government kill-or-capture list for his alleged roles in the attempted Christmas Day airliner bombing, and inspiring the Fort Hood shooting of 13 troops. Army Major Nidal Hassan has been charged in the killings.

There’s also an article by the so-called American al-Qaeda, Adam Gadahn.

Another American, Samir Khan, describes how he went from online jihadist in North Carolina to full-time terrorist in Yemen. The article is entitled, “I Am Proud to be a Traitor to America.”

Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula has taken root in Yemen’s remote and mountainous Shabwa province, far from the reach of the country’s weak central government.

The group rose toward the top of the security agenda of the United States and other world powers after it was linked to the failed Christmas Day attempt to down a Detroit-bound US airliner. The would-be bomber had explosives sewn into his underwear.

The magazine’s content reveals the group’s evolving strategy of rejecting easier-to-stop spectacular attacks in favour of one-man operations, using everyday objects.

That shows the organisation is “increasingly agile, lethal and opportunistic,” according to Yemeni scholar Christopher Boucek from the Carnegie Endowment.

The first edition included an article called “Make a Bomb in the Kitchen of Your Mom.”

In the introduction to the latest magazine, the editors boast of “recent US assessments” that declared al-Qaeda of the Arabian Peninsula “one of the most dangerous branches of al-Qaeda.” It concludes, “You haven’t seen anything yet.”

he wants it kept secret: Former detainee argues reporting story amounts to ‘torture’

Former Guantanamo Bay detainee Binyam Mohamed last night lost a legal bid to prevent The Mail on Sunday from revealing that he has been granted permanent residency in Britain.

The controversial move by the former UK asylum seeker came despite his continued involvement in a series of high-profile legal battles with the Government, claiming that Labour Ministers, MI5 and MI6 were complicit in his illegal detention and alleged torture.

Last night lawyers acting for Ethiopian-born Mr Mohamed,
32, failed to win a High Court injunction preventing the public from knowing that he had been granted indefinite leave to remain in the UK.

The extraordinary case was brought under Article 3 of the European Convention on Human Rights, which covers torture.

Mr Mohamed’s lawyers claimed that publicising his right to remain in Britain would amount to inhumane and degrading treatment.

The case comes amid increasing disquiet about the growing practice of allowing asylum seekers to remain anonymous when they argue that they should be allowed to make the UK their permanent home.

If I appear to walk around perpetually angry, blame it on the news I’m exposed to.
Even if I didn’t spend the day reading the papers, the headlines are pretty hard to ignore. And this story really does have me seeing red.  It seems so automatic. If a muzzie says he’s been tortured by our side, well then. Must be so.

A few months ago (but never out of the news altogether) there was a story about this pile of foreign filth.  I think Drew referred to him as BinMan. Or someone did.
Anyway, the bastard was using a false passport but that fact was mentioned once or 2wice and then not brought up again.  He claims (and is suing) the Brit govt. who has just given the asswipe asylum btw, because he claims, the evil Americans tortured him at Gitmo and the Brits knew about it and did nothing.
Lets be clear on something.  He was not even a Brit resident and he was not a citizen. But he says the questions Americans asked him were supplied by the Brits.

He had been arrested in Pakistan in 2002 after attempting to board a flight to Britain using a forged passport and claims he was then transferred between several so-called ‘ghost prisons’ where he was interrogated and tortured.

Well, here’s an outrage for ya.  He was secretly granted asylum here.
Please guys, don’t be too hard on the Brits for that. I suspect it’s something in the water or the toothpaste that only officials who make these decisions are subject to. Something happens to self defense and sovereignty and common sense. Whatever it is, they are bonkers. Whatever it is, this BinMan bastard got lawyers and tried to get a court order against the newspapers reporting the fact that he now has asylum here.
The very idiot newspapers that championed his cause btw. Oh and that isn’t all.  He claims, or his taxpayer charged lawyers claim, that publishing the news of his asylum is ,,,,, TORTURE.  Well, the nigger lost his case. This time.  Lets be clear yet again. I don’t hate his color. I hate what he became. I hate the scum he trained with.  I just hope this country doesn’t pay a horrid price for being kind to this walking pile of poo.

The use of super injunctions to keep the public from knowing about matters that might be regarded as controversial is increasing at an alarming rate.
Almost every week some celebrity takes out such an injunction to prevent publication of facts that might cause him shame, damage his reputation or reduce his earning power.

That is quite bad enough. But even more disturbing is the use of such instruments to prevent the media from reporting the workings of Parliament or the courts.

Galling: Binyam Mohamed owes his release to the diligent actions of an independent Press, not least this newspaper.

Recently, a large multi-national company even tried to stop The Guardian newspaper reporting a parliamentary question. Now Binyam Mohamed has sought to prevent The Mail on Sunday from reporting that he has been given leave to remain in this country.

This is particularly galling because he owes his release to the diligent actions of an independent Press, not least this newspaper.
He was perfectly happy for us to lay bare the details of the legal battle that secured his liberty – and the activities of Britain’s security services.

The principle that helped to free Binyam Mohamed in the first place – that the actions of the state and the courts in a free society must be open to reasonable scrutiny – applies just as much to him and his immigration status as it does to the British Government and its decisions.

Why Europe Still Doesn’t Get Islam

Like an old car starting up on a cold winter’s day, European governments have been slowly waking up to the realization that all those jolly Islamic people might be a problem after all. Unfortunately they don’t understand the dimensions of the problem. To them the riots, the bombings and the murders are only part of a culture clash, with challenges no different than any other minority group. That is why they prefer to focus on schools and burqas, while ignoring the violence. The thinking is that this is still a cultural problem that can be corrected with 3 drops of educational indoctrination, and 6 drops of enforced integration for the natives whose discriminatory attitudes are just making things worse. The problem is that their model is wrong.
The Islamic problem is not merely a clash of cultures, but also a clash of civilizations. Had it been merely a clash of cultures, Europe would only be in the same boat as America. Troubled, but not immediately fatal. Instead Europe is facing a clash of civilizations. The cultural and religious dimensions of the conflict underlie a larger perception on the Muslim side, that they are fighting to expand the borders of the Muslim East, rather than trying to be accepted in the Christian West.

As Americans are blinded to the dangers of Islam by their experience with multiculturalism, Europeans are blinded to the dangers of Islam by their inexperience with multiculturalism. Both make the mistake of assuming that Islamic violence is part of the multicultural norm, rather than the resumption of an old invasion of Europe. The chaos and confusion in a multicultural society can make it hard to spot real threats against the background noise, frustrations and raw nerves of cultural friction. It becomes easy to lump in complaints about too many Indian restaurants, with complaints about angry mosque worshipers. And it becomes all too easy for authorities to tell people to just make the best of it, while ignoring the situation. The authorities are certain that eventually a natural balance will arise a generation or two down the road. The slow realization that the native born Muslims are actually more radicalized than their fathers and grandfathers is worrying them, but not in a particularly constructive way. Instead they are torn between England’s accommodation policies and France’s integration policies, neither of which get at the heart of the problem.

Debates over swimming classes or a radical mosque here and there are only the smaller branches of a fast growing tree. Because the problem is not merely cultural differences, those can be and have been accommodated. The problem is that Muslims believe that their way of life is morally superior, and that any system or institution that does not follow those laws, is invalid. Furthermore they believe that they have a duty to impose their laws on others in the name of their religion or honor. Attempting to accommodate people who believe this, by accepting their laws in whole or in part, leads to an avalanche effect, with each concession generating demands for new concessions. There is no final point of accommodation to be had, except complete submission to Islam, because those being accommodated never recognize the inherent validity of the system that is accommodating them. Not until it becomes their system.

Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders on trial for inciting racial hatred

Geert Wilders, the Dutch anti-Islam MP who will become a shadow partner in the next Dutch government, has gone on trial accused of inciting racial hatred against Muslims.

The controversial politician risks up to a year in jail or a 7,600-euro (£6,600) fine for calling Islam “fascist” and likening the Koran to Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
Wilders, 47, is charged with five counts of giving religious offence to Muslims and inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims and people of non-Western immigrant origin, particularly Moroccans.
In comments made between October 2006 and March 2008 in Dutch newspapers and on internet forums, prosecutors say that Wilders described Islam as “the sick ideology of Allah and Mohammed” and its holy book as “the Mein Kampf of a religion that seeks to eliminate others”.
Among the exhibits is Wilders’ 17-minute film, “Fitna”, alleged to depict Islam as a force bent on destroying the West and whose screening in the Netherlands in 2008 prompted protests in much of the Muslim world.
Wilders arrived at the Amsterdam district court minutes before the start of the hearing.

Foreign Office warns of high terror threat in France and Germany

Britain followed the US in upgrading its travel advice for Europe today following a series of terror alerts.

The Foreign Office warned that there was a ‘’high threat’’ of attacks in countries including France and Germany, rather than the ‘’general threat’’ previously identified.

The move came shortly after the State Department issued guidance urging Americans to be vigilant when visiting Europe, highlighting the ‘’potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems and other tourist infrastructure’’.

“Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.”
The warnings have been heightened after intelligence officials in Britain intercepted a credible al Qaida-linked terror plot last week.

The planned attack would reportedly have been similar to the deadly commando-style raids in Mumbai, India, two years ago, with other European cities, in France and Germany, also targeted.

“US citizens should take every precaution to be aware of their surroundings and to adopt appropriate safety measures to protect themselves when travelling,” the department said.

The only consolation if any, is that at least the press isn’t reporting this piece of filth as, British.  So far but stay tuned as that could change.

As Lyndon and Chris have pointed out on more then one occasion, there are way too many would be jihadists who live or have lived here, being described as British.  BS!  The press and this includes the normally conservative press as well, continue to report the arrest or the deaths of “would be British suicide bombers.” This is based on no more then the fact that those animals lived here for awhile.  I guess if this darky gets a trial and if it goes on for awhile, before long they’ll start referring to the beast as British of Somali origin.  Sickening and maddening.

Guide to making suicide vest ‘found in accused’s home’

A step-by-step video guide on how to make a suicide vest was found at the home of a Somalian-born man in Leicester, a court has heard.

The 26-minute guide was among a cache of “terrorist videos and manuals” on computer files discovered at the home of Musse Yusuf, the Old Bailey was told.

They were stored on hard drives found by the side of a fridge and in the garage of Yusuf’s home in Higgs Close, a jury heard. The “vast” amount of material included a 1,000-page al Qaida manual and instructions on how to make bombs and use guns, said Max Hill QC, prosecuting.

Further files included the “Al Qaida fitness training manual for new recruits” and “instructions on how to attack Jewish people”.

Yusuf, 33, denies four counts of having documents or records for terrorism, relating to four examples of what was found in the computer drives.

Mr Hill said: “They are terrorist videos and manuals. The videos contain practical information on the making of suicide vests, improvised explosive devices or bombs, and the manuals entitled The Mujahideen Terrorist Handbook and The Mujahideen Explosives Handbook.

“Amongst this was material which suggested support for the cause of al Qaida in Iraq and in Afghanistan, also purported justifications for martyrdom operations and material encouraging jihad to be waged around the world.”

Nearly 200,000 files were found on the hard drives, said Mr Hill. They contained “wide-ranging instructions on how to carry out military activity through the use of bombs, guerrilla warfare, firearms and improvised explosive devices”, he added.

The court was shown parts of one video giving “detailed instructions on how to construct a ball-bearing suicide vest” including footage of a “test detonation”.

Also found was an al Qaida manual of more than 1,000 pages featuring instructions on “intelligence and counter intelligence” as well as bomb making, with diagrams and plans.

A FACE IN THE CROWD ,,, THE FACE OF THE ROP

Front Page has lots of interesting easy read (mostly) items.  I don’t have to add much if anything to this. I think you’re all pretty well familiar with this sort of thing by now.  Maybe it hasn’t occurred in the USA yet, or if it has, not as often as it does here and acrss the channel in Europe.  Oh. Oooops. I’m not supposed to mention anything has to do with Europe according to some dim (very dim) lights. 

Anyway ... check this out. Some of it recaps old news but the things referred to should not be forgotten.  It’s how these folks play the game and above all people ... Know Your Enemy!  And here’s a photo of one of the many of them.  The ugly face of islam. This fellow represents it well.  Is this what most muslims want to represent them?  I hope not. But then .... he has a lot of followers who looks pretty much the same. And they seem to have this knack of always finding things to be angry about. And they are ALWAYS just this ugly.

The Eternal Flame of Muslim Outrage

Shhhhhhh, we’re told. Don’t protest the Ground Zero mosque. Don’t burn a Koran. It’ll imperil the troops. It’ll inflame tensions. The “Muslim world” will “explode” if it does not get its way, warns sharia-peddling imam Feisal Abdul Rauf. Pardon my national security-threatening impudence, but when is the “Muslim world” not ready to “explode”?

At the risk of provoking the ever-volatile Religion of Perpetual Outrage, let us count the little-noticed and forgotten ways.

Just a few months ago in Kashmir, faithful Muslims rioted over what they thought was a mosque depicted on underwear sold by street vendors. The mob shut down businesses and clashed with police over the blasphemous skivvies. But it turned out there was no need for Allah’s avengers to get their holy knickers in a bunch. The alleged mosque was actually a building resembling London’s St. Paul’s Cathedral. A Kashmiri law enforcement official later concluded the protests were “premeditated and organized to vitiate the atmosphere.”

Indeed, art and graphics have an uncanny way of vitiating the Muslim world’s atmosphere. In 1994, Muslims threatened German supermodel Claudia Schiffer with death after she wore a Karl Lagerfeld-designed dress printed with a saying from the Koran. In 1997, outraged Muslims forced Nike to recall 800,000 shoes because they claimed the company’s “Air” logo looked like the Arabic script for “Allah.” In 1998, another conflagration spread over Unilever’s ice cream logo — which Muslims claimed looked like “Allah” if read upside-down and backward (can’t recall what they said it resembled if you viewed it with 3D glasses).

Even more explosively, in 2002, an al-Qaida-linked jihadist cell plotted to blow up Bologna, Italy’s Church of San Petronio because it displayed a 15th century fresco depicting Mohammed being tormented in the ninth circle of Hell. For years, Muslims had demanded that the art come down. Counterterrorism officials in Europe caught the would-be bombers on tape scouting out the church and exclaiming, “May Allah bring it all down. It will all come down.”

That same year, Nigerian Muslims stabbed, bludgeoned or burned to death 200 people in protest of the Miss World beauty pageant — which they considered an affront to Allah. Contest organizers fled out of fear of inflaming further destruction. When Nigerian journalist Isioma Daniel joked that Mohammed would have approved of the pageant and that “in all honesty, he would probably have chosen a wife from among them,” her newspaper rushed to print three retractions and apologies in a row.

It didn’t stop Muslim vigilantes from torching the newspaper’s offices. A fatwa was issued on Daniel’s life by a Nigerian official in the sharia-ruled state of Zamfara, who declared that “the blood of Isioma Daniel can be shed. It is abiding on all Muslims wherever they are to consider the killing of the writer as a religious duty.” Daniel fled to Norway.

I’m very much at loose ends today.  Couldn’t be here yesterday, and thought I had some things for today. I suddenly realized what day this is. I woke up not knowing.  Till I picked the papers from the front porch chair and saw the date.  9/11 wasn’t featured on the covers of any and little inside. Just as well in a way because I find it impossible to view the photos of that day.  It’s burned into my memory forever, I can see it all with eyes open. No need to look at the photos.
I don’t guess there’s any reason for them here to give over the front page every year on this date. Which leads me to ...

Should I post anything at all?  Of course I should although it won’t be much as I have to shut down in a while. Anyway, since the damn terrorists have managed to screw up our air travel which wasn’t a holiday to begin with, no reason not to continue here almost as usual.  By almost I mean I don’t feel very funny today and haven’t anything funny I want to share. There just isn’t anything to laugh at today.

Since I came to BMEWS quite late, not even sure of the year, ( 07? - 8?) I had never read Skipper’s Dead Zone before. It was new to me. I think I found the site the same year he passed away.  So my thanks to Drew and OCM who I understand found it.

So then, staying with this subject, that is, terrorism ... this came up today.

Have Americans ignored or never learned the lesson of Britain and home grown terrorists since the bombings by muslims in July of 05?  If memory of past and recent comments and rants made here at BMEWS serve me well, which I think echos the thinking of many conservative and right wing blogs, not too damn many of us took that melting pot thing quite as far as the left does.  Or says it does anyway.  I certainly can’t speak for all of you, so speaking just for myself, I view that potty thing with a most jaundiced eye.  And most especially where muzzies are concerned. And btw, they aren’t the only ones who’ve not integrated themselves with their host country country.

9/11 anniversary: US authorities slow to act over homegrown terrorists

American authorities were slow to take seriously the threat posed by homegrown terrorists and are “stumbling blindly” in trying to address the problem, according to a new report.

It said that for too long the United States trusted that despite the war on terror and the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, its melting pot of nationalities and religions would protect it from the sort of with domestic terror seen in Britain.

Compiled by the former heads of the September 11 Commission, which published the official findings into the 2001 al-Qaeda attacks on the US, the report said America should have learned from Britain’s experience.

It said that prior to the 2005 London Underground attacks by Britons of Pakistani descent, it had been believed that Muslims in Britain were better integrated, educated and wealthier than their counterparts elsewhere.

A similar complacency in the US meant that the authorities believed that Somali-American youths travelling from Minnesota to Mogadishu in 2008 to fight for al-Shabaab, the al-Qaeda-linked group were an isolated case.

At the time, investigators however found that their inquiries into domestic radicalisation quickly spread to the other cities.

The report warned such those recruits could return home to plot terror and said an American citizen could carry out a suicide bombing on US soil.

In 2009, the US suffered its first serious domestic terror incident when 13 army personnel were shot dead on a base in Fort Hood, Texas. The Muslim army psychiatrist charged in the case wrote about suicide operations in emails.

A naturalized American from Pakistan with suspected links to al-Qaeda has been charged with trying to blow up his truck in New York’s Times Square in May.

“Our long-held belief that homegrown terrorism couldn’t happen here has thus created a situation where we are today stumbling blindly through the legal, operational and organisational minefield of countering terrorist radicalisation and recruitment occurring in the United States,” said the report by the Bipartisan Policy Centre’s National Security Preparedness Group.

For the first time the White House this year added combating homegrown terrorism to its national security strategy, while the FBI liaised with Somali communities in an effort to counter radicalisation.

The report pointed to the lack of a government agency specifically charged with identifying radicalisation or working to prevent terrorist recruitment of US citizens and residents.

Snipers kill 10 Brits ….. Brits kill snipers hired by the Taliban …

Taliban snipers who killed ten British soldiers die in air strike.

Four deadly foreign mercenary snipers hired by the Taliban have been killed after being tracked down by British Special Forces in Afghanistan.

They were among at least three pairs of crackshots recruited by the Taliban from Pakistan, Egypt and Chechnya.

The mercenaries – who can kill troops at a range of up to 650 yards – are understood to have shot dead up to ten British soldiers in recent weeks.

The victims include Sapper Darren Foster, 20, from Whitehaven, Cumbria. He was picked off from long distance by a single shot which went through a gap just 9in wide in a protected look-out post in Sangin valley, Helmand Province.

News of the Taliban deaths came as a British soldier was killed during a firefight with insurgents yesterday as he provided security for a meeting between Afghan elders and Nato forces.

The soldier, from the 1st Battalion The Duke of Lancaster’s Regiment, was killed during an exchange of fire in the Nad-e Ali district of Helmand.

So then, while American and Brit servicemen and women too, are returning home in body bags or else coming back disabled and minus limbs and various body parts, some will be be pleased to know that there’s a game due out where you can be the Taliban and kill and maim Americans and Brits.

Somehow, I don’t see that as a healthy thing while this war is continuing.
Due to the mess I’ve made here and papers strewn hither and yon, I have misplaced the article. I can’t even remember which paper I saw it in.
If I find it I’ll post the link here later. Anyway, I think it’s a sick idea.
Speaking of sick ... Ch. 4 TV here is going to air a show called Beauty and the Beast wherein they will pair a normal or very good looking person with someone who is badly disfigured, and see how they interact.  SICK!
That’s like a throwback to the days when ppl went to placed like Bedlam to laugh at the sick. Or freak shows.  Why would anyone want to watch that kind of thing?  What next?  Bear bating? 

‘Tasteless’: Defence Secretary’s fury at Taliban video game where players shoot dead British soldiers

Defence Secretary Liam Fox has slammed a computer game which allows players to kill British troops as a Taliban insurgent as ‘tasteless’.

Mr Fox called for the game to be banned and said the idea of recreating Taliban attacks on allied soldiers was disgusting.

The latest version of the Medal of Honor game, published by Electronic Arts, allows gamers to opt to play the role of insurgents in a multiplayer mode and receive points for killing allied soldiers.

Terrorists on our doorstep. Again?

Ah, tis a warm glow we feel in the knowledge that there are still patriots about who will risk life and limb in the name of justice and freedom.
Some lads who claim to be a purer more fundamentalist form of the IRA, have set off a bomb in a waste container.  It went off with no fatalities but did injure two twelve year old girls and a three year old.  Earlier reports said two years old but hey, that’s still a baby.  That’s the stuff lads.  How brave and macho. A blow for freedom for sure.  Fuckin dickheads. 

The honestagod truth of it is, low life like that enjoy this sort of thing.  If they didn’t have the IRA cause, they’d make one up just to feel good about their miserable and worthless selves.  They like what they do and care nothing for innocent lives, or ppl who haven’t a thing to do with whatever twisted cause they say they are fighting for.

Fears of further violence in Northern Ireland after four bombs discovered in a week
There are fears that Northern Ireland is facing a summer of violence after the discovery of four bombs in a week thought to have been planted by dissident republicans.

Called “dissident republicans,” the papers say these folks could bomb targets in Britain for the first time in nine years.
This newer organization with a name no human can pronounce easily, has been behind recent attacks in Northern Ireland with the intent of killing by the end of the month. 

As if muzzies aren’t enuff to deal with.  Now this.

MORALITY ACCORDING TO THE TALIBAN, who claim to worship a merciful god

There isn’t anything new here, but it is a reminder of the mindset of the sub human species we’re up against. 
And btw .. how the heck does a widow commit “adultery?” Can any of you see any way the USA can pull out of that place, without seriously damaging our own internal security?  If we do leave, it’s a sure thing the Taliban will regain control or if not in total then they will make it easier for Al Qaeda to flourish there.
Don’t ya just wish we could say the hell with it and just nuke the whole damn place and start from scratch.

Taliban kill couple in public stoning

A man and woman have been stoned to death in northern Afghanistan after being accused by the Taliban of having an affair.

The 23-year-old woman and 28-year-old man were killed because “they had an affair,” said Mohammad Ayob, the governor of Imam Sahib district in Kunduz province.

“Two people were stoned to death by Taliban in Mullah Quli village late yesterday,” he said. The village is under the control of the Taliban.
Mullah Quli resident Abdul Satar said about 100 people, most of them Taliban insurgents, gathered in the village on Sunday evening as a statement was read out saying the pair had confessed to their affair.

He said the man was married to someone else, and the woman was engaged.
“The Taliban convicted both to stoning to death, some from the crowd started throwing stones at the couple until they died,” Mr Satar said.
The couple had their hands bound behind their backs and were forced to stand in an empty field as their sentence was carried out, he said.
A local Taliban commander, who contacted media but refused to give his name, confirmed the killings.

“The couple confessed they had eloped together and based on their confession they were stoned to death,” he said.
Under Islamic Sharia law, sex between unmarried people is punishable by public beatings, while punishment for those caught in extra-marital affairs is death by stoning.

EARLIER THIS MONTH, THE TALIBAM PUBLICLY FLOGGED AND THEN KILLED A PREGNANT WIDOW FOR ALLEGED “ADULTERY.”

The killings are a grim reminder of the Taliban’s harsh 1996-2001 rule, when apparent crimes were brutally punished after summary trials.
As well as lashings and death by stoning for alleged adulterers, people accused of theft regularly had their hands or feet amputated.
In regions that have come under Taliban control as the war drags towards the end of its ninth year, rough justice is meted out in the same manner, and includes execution of people accused of “spying” for foreign forces.
