Bombski!

An explosion ripped through the international section of Moscow’s busiest airport, killing 35 people and wounding 168, officials said. 

The massive blast, with an explosive force of seven kilograms of TNT, was caused by a suicide bomber, Russian officials said.

Sergei Lavochkin, was waiting in the arrivals hall for a friend to arrive from Cuba, when he heard the explosion.

He said he heard a massive bang, saw panels fall from the ceiling, then heard people screaming, and saw people running away.

British Airways passenger Mark Green had just arrived at the airport.  He told BBC television that after the explosion he saw people streaming out of the terminal, some covered in blood. A British citizen and several other foreigners were among the dead, Russian news agencies reported

The LifeNews.ru website said many victims had metal fragments embedded in their bodies and that the explosive device was packed with bolts, nuts, nails and ball bearings.

White House spokesman Robert Gibbs said U.S. President Barack Obama called the bombing “an outrageous act of terrorism against the Russian people,”

A witness to the massive explosion that killed at least 35 people at Moscow’s busiest airport Monday says he saw a man carrying a flaming suitcase seconds before the blast.

Artyom Zhilenkov, a 35-year-old driver, told The Associated Press he was just a few yards away from the explosion and saw a man who may have been the bomber.

“I saw the suitcase, the suitcase was on fire. So, either the man blew up something, or something went off on the man’s body, or the suitcase went off.” said Zhilenkov, whose clothes were soaked in blood.

“The guy standing next to me was torn to pieces,” he added.

The explosion took place at 4:31pm Moscow time, which is 8:31am in New Jersey.

Has this been making any news in the US?  Surely Fox must have had it.  If not, take a look at this unsurprising bit of news.
In the days before anyone had so many hidden rights and before political correctness was imposed on a sleeping public, Germans and indeed American and Brits as well, would have known exactly how to deal with these sub-human life forms. And that’s all I’ll remark on the subject. For now anyway.

Although off topic perhaps I should just mention in passing that, it’s the snowiest December in a century in Berlin. Since we’re in Germany with this article I thought that global warming bit of news worthy of inclusion.

German authorities on Tuesday mounted raids against two Islamist groups suspected of seeking to overthrow the government and establish a religious state, the Interior Ministry said.

The searches targeted homes and religious schools linked to Salafist jihadist group Invitation to Paradise (EZP) in the northwestern cities of Braunschweig and Mönchengladbach, and the Islamic Cultural Center Bremen (IKZB) in northern German port.

“The EZP and the IKZB are accused of opposing the constitutional order with the aim of replacing it in Germany with an Islamic religious state,” the ministry said in a statement.

The raids were part of a long-running investigation against the groups and had no link to warnings of potential impending terrorist attacks issued last month by Interior Minister Thomas de Maizière, it added.

The groups reject parliamentary democracy and believe that Islamic law should replace the constitution, the ministry said.

“In a well-fortified democracy it is advisable and necessary not to wait for jihad in the form of an armed struggle before taking action against anti-constitutional groups,” the ministry said.

The raids will show whether or not government suspicions about the groups can be confirmed, it added.

A security official told news agency the Associated Press that officials had searched dozens of private homes, religious schools, a small publisher, and a store owned by EZP that sells traditional caftans and veils.

Meanwhile an EZP leader in Mönchengladbach condemned the raid, the news agency said.

“We’re sad about this raid, we haven’t done anything illegal,” Sven Lau said.

But the leader of the anti-Salafist initiative “Citizens for Mönchengladbach” told AP his group welcomed the searches.

“We are happy that the Interior Ministry moved so fast against them and hope that it won’t take much longer until the group will be banned altogether,” Wilfried Schultz said.

Residents in Mönchengladbach have held frequent protests against attempts to build a religious school there by the Salafist group, whose strict Islamist ideology has been linked to several terrorist plots.

Their message has been particularly appealing to young Muslim immigrants and converts, the news agency reported.

christmas terror attack is foiled ….

Good morning or afternoon wherever you happen to be.
Back in the saddle again with stuff the papers keep displaying but it isn’t a joke. If it were, it would not be a funny one.

Reported earlier with regard to a group of sub-human muslim scum who were planning a series of murders and bombings here, well there’s now pics of some of the worthless bastards and more to the story as well.  So naturally ...

Oh yeah. Saw something and as usual I can’t find it now. Report that sadly America may now be exporting more muzzie filth terrorists then the UK. ???
Hey ... that’s what I read.  If true, then we have even bigger problems then the Brits and they do believe me have problems they are working on. They are not sitting still, even though their criminal system is no better then ours in the states.
I do not understand why these creeps can’t simply be terminated.  Look at those arrogant faces. Kudos to the people in law enforcement.  I wish though that newspapers would hold back some of the information so as to not help the enemy. Oh I forget. That’s only in a ‘real’ war. Right? 

For those who don’t know, The London Eye is a ferris wheel. A very big one and a tourist attraction.

Nine terror suspects plotted a Christmas bomb blitz in London, a court has heard.

Potential targets included the London Eye tourist attraction, the Stock Exchange and Mayor Boris Johnson, it was claimed.

The Dean of St Paul’s Cathedral, two rabbis and the U.S. Embassy were also said to have been listed for possible attack.

Big Ben was allegedly visited, while the Palace of Westminster was among other key landmarks said to have received their attention. The Church of Scientology headquarters in London was also ‘observed’, it was claimed.

Targets for bombings had been agreed by the cell’s members before police swooped, Westminster Magistrates’ Court was told.

The suspects had also conducted live tests on explosives as part of their ‘unlawful and malicious conspiracy’.

Anti-terror police arrested the men, aged between 19 and 28, during a series of dawn raids in London, Cardiff and Stoke-on-Trent five days before Christmas.

The suspects sat in the glass-panelled dock as the court was given details of atrocities they were accused of planning for the festive season.

In court, the Crown opened the 105-minute hearing by spending half an hour outlining the allegations against the men. For legal reasons, further details cannot be reported.

I find that last line interesting. No details for legal reasons. Oh well if it’s something involving legal stuff ....
But it’s apparently okay right from 9/11 to now, to tell the world our ppl have the ability to listen to their phones.  I suppose that cat would have been out of the bag even without the press, given a little time.

another day, another suicide bomber. I wonder what religion he belonged to?????

Welcome to Monday .... and .... no surprise that early this morning was news of yet another scumball muslim bomber.  This time in Sweden. Well of course and why the heck not?  Sweden, another tolerant and generally liberal and open society that with open arms welcomes the lice we refer to as muslims and even thinks they may be human.  OK, a few are. Really. There are 2 or 3 running about someplace.

Also in the news is Terry Jones. You may recall he is the pastor from Florida who wanted to burn the koran on the anniv. of 9/11.  You may also recall the liberal world’s outrage which seemed to match the act of 9/11 itself.  You’d think he intended to fly a plane into a mosque.
Well, Pastor Jones has been invited to address the English Defense League, and may not be allowed in the country.
I can understand the govt. if they do deny his visa, thinking they have enough home grown trouble and riots and don’t need to import any new from the USA.
But what really gets my dander up are the fatuous hypocrites on the left, the loud mouths who demonstrate they say against Fascism. Fascism as defined by them, is anyone with an opinion contrary to what they want to hear. These freedom loving twits allow freedom to anyone holding their world view.  They haven’t the capacity to debate a point, or the brains to make one.  So in lieu of a coherent argument, they pelt the opposition with stones and eggs and do all they can to muzzle that which they can not abide. Which is of course, free speech. And criticism of anything the left holds dear, or pretends to hold so.

With regard to the pastor, muslims have warned that his visit to these shores will bring violence with it. That is, muslim leaders have predicted that there will be violence if he attends the EDL rally in February. Not that he intends to advocate violence against them. But Pastor Jones is outspoken in his belief that that islam itself is destructive and is in his view, an evil.  Well, I suppose were he to preach those views about Judaism or as an imam about Christianity, people would be up in arms and no doubt many Christians and Jews would also oppose his visa.  Poses an interesting problem.  Although there aren’t many if any in either of the last mentioned who condone or preach jihad or fly planes into buildings, use suicide bombers in a subway, or commit honor killings.

One has to wonder who the muslims are who think they should have a say in who does or doesn’t enter the UK. Most of them aren’t even native to these shores to begin with. Most aren’t and do not intend to be assimilated into western society. Ok for them of course to hold signs calling British soldiers killers and murderers and death to them and democracy. Oh, that’s all ok.  But lets not have another foreigner (who btw is NOT collecting benefits from this state) to join a rally of like minded Brits.  What can this man possibly say that hasn’t been said already?  What can he possibly say that many, many Brits already believe anyway? And not just Brits who are racist or belong to either the BNP or the EDL.  There is in fact a mistrust, a nervousness and an outright dislike of militant islam as a menace and obstacle to world peace. 

There was a would be suicide bomber killed when his bomb went off prematurely.  He once lived in the UK, and was educated here. There are many more like him still here and unaccounted for so far.  Pastor Jones isn’t hiding from anyone btw. Just thought I should mention that.
But here reader .... lay your eyes on this bit of info.  Especially the line alluding to the fact that they (muslims) are among us. Yes they are and it’s a chilliung thought. Read on.

Fleeing arsonist runs into lamppost .

This was presented as recent although the date on the video says 2008. I guess it took this long to convict?
Well hell. The end is funny but not the fire.  People who start fires should be tied to a stake and set alight themselves. Now that’s justice.

Bad enough the country is overrun with white trash criminals ... it needs these folks too?
I have to be careful. Can’t make any obvious racist jokes or ill comments on these pimpleheads. Here’s a quick example of things of that nature.

Islamists raise fears of violent ‘clash of cultures’ in Europe.

‘Crazies’ flock to ‘Londonistan’
In the 1990s, the city became so popular for Islamists fleeing authorities in Muslim countries that some commentators dubbed it “Londonistan.”

Citing the WikiLeaks cables, the Guardian newspaper last week reported that the future U.K. Prime Minister David Cameron told an American official in April 2009 that the former Labour government had “let in a lot of crazies and did not wake up early enough” to the danger posed by Muslim extremists.

This America, is what this side of the Atlantic is living with.  Only weak kneed politically correct, multi-culture morons who think trees and diversity is a religion, welcome muslims with open arms.  Mustn’t be critical because after all, islam is a religion of peace. Didn’t our own president tell us so on 9/11?
Whatever .... the bottom line is that the USA must remain Awake!  Too many Europeans would rather snooze, but there are many who know the threat of these sub-human life forms.  They are I’m sure being watched. Or at least those that the authorities know about. Watched?  Why not deported or shot? Cos they have rights. And they laugh as they cash their benefit checks, courtesy of the txpayers they plan to kill.

It was disheartening to read last week about a mosque being built in Temecula, Ca. Just like rats and poisonous spiders, they are everywhere. And where ever they are, whatever neighborhood they occupy, they are future trouble of major proportions. In fact, possibly deadly.

LONDON — It is a Sunday night in London’s East End and the self-styled “most hated man in Britain” is holding court, reveling in his vision of a Taliban victory over America and a world under Islamic Shariah law.

The crowd of about 250 listens intently as Anjem Choudary issues a call to arms in the pristine surroundings of the newly refurbished art deco conference center, built to host weddings and business meetings.

“There are many battlefields,” he says calmly into a microphone. “There’s a battlefield outside 10 Downing Street [home to Britain’s prime minister] and in the mountains of the Tora Bora [in Afghanistan].”

Any man who fails to fight, he warns, will face difficulty when the “angel of death” arrives and he is forced to explain to Allah why he did not raise his hand “against the oppressor” out of fear. “Allah will say to him, ‘Am I not more worthy to be feared than them?’” Choudary says.

“Allahu Akbar!” the men shout out in unison, as if a war cry, during his speech. “Allahu Akbar.” God is great.

A group of women, all heavily veiled and sitting in a screened-off area, remain quiet throughout.

As former leader of the banned Islamist organizations al-Muhajiroun and Islam4UK, Choudary was kept off the bill and appeared as the surprise star speaker at the rally.

His groups may be outlawed but, unlike his female followers, Choudary will not be silenced.

His message is one that echoes across Europe, which experts say is home to thousands of people who would wholeheartedly support Choudary’s “ultimate objective” — the “domination of the world by Islam.”

The majority of Muslims are not Islamists, who believe in a society based on Islamic law, and not all of the latter are seeking world domination or are willing to use violence.

But fear of another Islamist-inspired atrocity after Madrid in 2004 — 191 dead — and London in 2005 — 53 dead — remains high.

Rightly so, according to Dr. John J. Le Beau, a former CIA officer and now professor of strategy and security studies at Germany’s George C. Marshall European Center for Security Studies.

“It’s a mathematical certainty there will be a successful attack in Europe at some point,” he told msnbc.com. “The amount of attempted plots we see is not decreasing. I think what we have seen is a ... strengthening of attempted attacks that in some cases have come pretty close.”

A backlash is growing. Support for the far-right in normally liberal countries like Sweden and the Netherlands is on the rise. French lawmakers voted for a ban on full face veils. Protest groups, such as the English Defense League which has been linked to soccer hooligans, have made headlines.

Le Beau warned of “an incipient clash of cultures.” The consequences of another terrorist spectacular — intelligence reports recently warned an al-Qaida-linked group was planning to hit Western Europe with a commando-style raid like that on Mumbai, India — could be profound, he suggested.

“I could see that leading to a spontaneous violent reaction on the part of others. Could this spin out of control? Sure,” he said. “I think that would be very dangerous because ... it runs the risk of sectarianizing or ‘Balkanizing’ Western Europe.”

Another muslim in the news and this one, a white American convert to Islam

Don’t understand how this is possible to go on. As well, I don’t understand why this traitorous bastard can’t be taken out.  Why is it that all our ppl on both side of the Atlantic can only, “monitor?” What’s with that?  Surly there must be lots of folks who would gladly volunteer to take this creep out. Gosh, there just has to be branches of our secret services that do wet work.  Is that term still in use? 

If for whatever reason both USA and UK don’t have the heart for killing dangerous scum who have already said out loud that we’re all a target, then I’d like to suggest we develop a closer working relationship with the Russians, who have no qualms about it. And they are pros we’ve read here. Maybe even the Chinese.  It could be cheaper to pay those folks or work some kind of mutually beneficial deal, to rid us of the sub-humans like the subject of this article.
And then move on to WikiLeaks, the aclu, southern poverty law center, amnesty intl., the aclu again in case someone was missed on the first go round. Heck, there’s tons of left wing radical/muzzie loving civil rights groups that could be made ... neutral. Forever.  Oh if only.

Islamic website tied to MP’s stabbing resurfaces under new name

A radical US-based Islamic website shut down last month after allegedly helping to inspire the stabbing of a Labour MP has resurfaced with a new name.

Younus Abdullah Muhammad, a founder of both sites, told The Daily Telegraph that IslamPolicy.com was the direct successor to RevolutionMuslim.com which was closed amid the furore over its role in the attack on Stephen Timms.

“IslamPolicy will continue with the work of RevolutionMuslim,” Mr Muhammad, a white American convert to Islam, said during an interview in which he called the Sept 11 terror attacks “justified violence”.

He continued: “If loving Muslims that fight and die to defend themselves from Western imperialism make the UK and US governments associate me or IslamPolicy with terrorists, then I am honoured to be so associated.”

counter-terrorism officials say that at least a third of the more than 50 domestic terror suspects arrested in America in the last year had ties to RevolutionMuslim, an English-language site aimed at Muslims in the West.

They trace its roots to a network of sites run by the now banned al-Muhajiroun group in Britain. “It is playing an important role in the export to the US of the British disease of home-grown terror by radicalised young Muslims,” a US official said.

Aaron Zelin, a US academic who follows pro-jihadi websites, says that the US-based RevolutionMuslim was being increasingly used by British extremists to skirt hate speech and incitement laws in the UK and promote groups with al-Muhajiroun links.

The site, which was hosted on an American Google server, was closed down last month after intense pressure from British and American security officials. But Mr Muhammad has now established IslamPolicy on a blogging site also operated by Google, calling it the new home for the closed site.

He has said that IslamPolicy will focus on ideology and education, but British and American counterterror experts are monitoring it closely for the sort of radical content that was a fixture of its predecessor.

Anti-terror fight should be conducted within laws: UN expert

United Nations (ANTARA News/Xinhua-OANA) - The global anti-terrorism fight should be conducted according to the rule of law while taking into account the human rights, a UN expert told reporters here Wednesday.

“We believe that in the long term terrorism will only be defeated if we do so according to the rule of law and with appropriate respect for human rights,” Mike Smith, who is the executive director of the Counter-Terrorism Committee Executive Directorate (CTED), said at a press conference here.

“If you don`t consider law and human rights, you threaten to alienate the origin of communities, maybe just perpetuate the problem and contribute to the recruitment of terrorists,” Smith said.

The Counter-Terrorism Committee (CTC) is tasked with monitoring implementation of Resolution 1373, which requests countries to implement a number of measures intended to enhance their legal and institutional ability to counter terrorist activities at home, in their regions and around the world. The Committee comprises all 15 Security Council members.

The Committee is part of the UN which allows it to easily bring professionals together to brainstorm on a particular subject, Smith said.

Does This One Count As “Saved” Or “Created”??

Mohamed Osman Mohamud, 19, a Somali-born U.S. citizen, was arrested at 5:42 p.m., 18 minutes before the tree lighting was to occur, on an accusation of attempting to use a weapon of mass destruction. The felony charge carries a maximum sentence of life in prison and a $250,000 fine.

Yelling “Allahu Akbar!” — Arabic for “God is great!” — Mohamud tried to kick agents and police after he was taken into custody, according to prosecutors.

“The threat was very real,” said Arthur Balizan, special agent in charge of the FBI in Oregon. “Our investigation shows that Mohamud was absolutely committed to carrying out an attack on a very grand scale,”

Um, except it wasn’t a bomb. And the FBI just didn’t happen upon this guy by chance. Nor were they tipped off at the last second. No, they’d been watching this guy for months. They’d been working with him. It seems that they even assembled his bomb for him, although the bomb they built was not real.

However, the supposed explosive was a dummy that FBI operatives supplied to him, according to an affidavit in support of a criminal complaint signed Friday night by U.S. Magistrate Judge John V. Acosta.

The arrest was the culmination of a long-term undercover operation, during which Mohamud had been monitored for months as his alleged bomb plot developed.

“The device was in fact inert, and the public was never in danger,” according to a news release from the U.S. Attorney’s Office.

According to the FBI affidavit, the case began in August 2009 when Mohamud was in e-mail contact with an unindicted associate overseas who was believed to be involved in terrorist activities. In December 2009, while the unindicted associate was in a frontier province of Pakistan, Mohamud and the associate discussed the possibility of Mohamud traveling to Pakistan to participate in violent jihad.

The associate allegedly referred Mohamud to a second associate overseas and provided him with a name and e-mail address. In the months that followed, Mohamud made several unsuccessful attempts to contact the second associate.

Ultimately, an FBI undercover operative contacted Mohamud in a June 2010 e-mail under the guise of being an associate of the first unindicted associate.

So when this kid - who was probably about 17 at the time this started - tries and tries and tries to hook up with the real jihadis, and FAILS every single time, the FBI puts on a digital kaffiyea and makes contact with him. And then leads the kid around by the nose for the next solid year?

Mohamud and the FBI operative agreed to meet in Portland a month later. Mohamud allegedly told the FBI operative that he had written articles that were published in Jihad Recollections, an online magazine that advocated holy war.

Yes, they gave the boy a whole bunch of chances to back out.

The FBI operatives cautioned Mohamud several times about the seriousness of his plan, noting that there would be many people, including children, at the event, and that Mohamud could abandon his plans at any time with no shame.

But he wouldn’t. So they talked him into letting them build the bomb for him. And they even took him on an outing before this to set of a smaller real bomb. To prove their own bona fides?

He allegedly identified a location to place the bomb and mailed bomb components to the FBI operatives, who he believed were assembling the device. He also mailed them passport photos so he could sneak out of the country after the attack, according to the affidavit.

He provided the FBI operatives with a thumbdrive that contained detailed directions to the bomb location and operational instructions for the attack.

On Nov. 4, Mohamud and the FBI operatives traveled to a remote spot in Lincoln County, where they detonated a bomb concealed in a backpack as a trial run for the upcoming attack.

And so on and so on. But what they never did was take the kid by the scruff of his neck, ring the doorbell at his parent’s house, and say, “Look Dad, your kid wants to be a terrorist. And we’ve got the proof. You’d better straighten him out right now, because if we have to do it, he’ll either wind up in a pine box or spend the rest of his life in jail.”

Is there a line in here somewhere? A limit? I have not yet heard that this kid’s arrest has led to an entire terrorist network being rolled up, or that any great new sources of information have been gleaned by interrogating him. What I have read sounds a lot like enabling. I don’t want to say “entrapment”, but the FBI was onto this kid from the beginning. Why not just collect him then and get him some psychiatric treatment? Why bother to let him go all the way to planting a “bomb” and “pushing the button” before arresting him? In which case, why not shoot him?

Meanwhile, there’s that nutjob Serb out in California with so much explosives in his house that stepping on the grass is like jumping on a landmine. And the ONLY way he got found out is when the yard guy got blown up by accident. And notice the part of that story you really, really aren’t hearing about: he’s been back and forth to Mexico a whole bunch of times lately. Wonder if that’s where he got the explosives, and maybe even the training to use them?

So I’m kind of wondering if this was the right approach ... or the right use of resources. Yes, absolutely it’s better to have fed this Somali dingbat a line of poop the whole time, than to have had no contact or awareness of him and then come in with the dustpan and brush and absorbent paper towels when he sets off a REAL bomb. But it sure makes me wonder how many of these “naturalized citizens” from radical muslim lands are in our country plotting bad things. Maybe we shouldn’t have let them in in the first place?

Maybe I’m in one of those “root causes” moods. As a nation we spend so damn much blood and treasure trying to “win hearts and minds” overseas, so why not do it right here? Why aren’t all parents - not just muzzies - not pointing out how stupid, wasteful, and ultimately ineffective, jihad splodeydope-ism is? I don’t see that happening. I don’t see “Your daily message of peace and tolerance, brought to you by CAIR” on the TV or in the newspapers. I don’t see the American Imams on the religious channels preaching any of that Rodney King “Why can’t we all just get along” stuff.

So maybe it is better that the FBI have the “terrorist cells” so heavily infiltrated that only 1 in 1000 of them is actually real. And that all the emails over to sandland are read and perhaps redirected. So all our stupid little children, those angst ridden teens who can’t get laid or who can’t fit in, who “try to get even” and turn to jihad are really almost always just turning themselves over to the feds. We’re safer that way ... but we’d be safer, and the government would spend a whole lot less money, if somehow the parents, schools, and local churches and mosques could get involved when the “roots” have only sent up a small bud or two. And by “a small bud” and “getting involved” I don’t mean doping little kids to the gills with psych meds and expelling them from school when they make stick figure drawings of cowboys and soldiers with guns when they’re 6. That’s an asinine reaction indicative of a pendulum swung way too far the wrong way, and belies any critical reasoning. But somewhere between pulling wings off of flies, setting fire to the neighbor’s cat, and Columbine or Ground Zero there has to be a point where a bit of effort can change the river’s direction.

On the third hand, or is it the fifth or sixth one by now ... I’m sure the FBI wants everyone to believe how close they are watching, and how much of the terrorist underworld they have sewn up. And it seems like they do, as wannabe after wannabe has been caught year after year. Until the next big blast catches everyone by surprise. Like, um, where would we be if that gardener had taken the day off, or stepped onto a different patch of grass?

11/19/2010 Yard Man Steps On Landmine

A gardener was injured today when he stepped on some form of explosive device at a home in Escondido, California.

A man was taken into custody but it was not immediately clear if he was a suspect, the report said, the San Diego Union Tribute said. The bomb squad was on the scene following the blast in the city, north of San Diego.

The gardener, 49, called emergency services about 12.50pm local time and said he was suffering a puncture wound to his arm after stepping on something that exploded. He was taken by ambulance officers to the hospital.

A neighbour said the blast rattled the windows and blinds of her home.

11/18 Highway Closed, One Arrested
Another gardener who was at the house at the time, Enrique Domingo, 23, said he thought his co-worker, Mario Garcia, stepped on a “bomb.”

Garcia was in serious condition Thursday night, a hospital spokesman said.

The sheriff’s bomb squad, the FBI, deputies and firefighters responded to the home on Via Scott in an unincorporated area of Escondido north of El Norte Parkway and west of Interstate 15. Some neighbors were evacuated.

Sheriff’s spokeswoman Jan Caldwell said Thursday night that George Jakubec, 54, a resident of the home, was arrested on suspicion of possession of destructive material, manufacture of destructive material, and unlawful possession of explosives.

11/21/2010 Explosive arsenal found in Calif. home
Nine pounds of explosives were found in a Southern California home after an explosion, authorities said.

The homemade compound hexamethylene triperoxide diamine, a powder that looks like flour, was found in Mason jars in the backyard of a home near Escondido, San Diego County Sheriff’s Department spokeswoman Jan Caldwell told the San Diego Union-Tribune.

Officers went to the property Thursday when landscaper Mario Garcia scuffed his foot on the ground and set off some of the compound that had fallen there. The resulting explosion injured his left eye and arm.

George Jakubec, renter of the property, was then arrested on suspicion of unlawfully owning explosives and possessing and manufacturing destructive materials. He is to be arraigned Monday.

Bomb experts put the jars in holes dug in the ground Friday and detonated them. They did not know if the compound would explode—it did not—so the southbound lanes of Interstate 15 were closed for three hours.

Authorities say Jakubec made the explosive, but his motive is a mystery.

Washington, Nov 26 (DPA) More home-made explosives were found in a California residence described as a ‘bomb-making factory’ by police, US broadcaster CNN reported.

Authorities found two home-made explosive devisives and some pentaerythritol tetranitrate (PETN), an explosive used by Al Qaeda and the reason for controversial enhanced airport scanners currently being unveiled at US airports, the report said Thursday.

11/26/2010 More Explosives and Chemicals Found
Authorities have found more blasting caps and bomb-making materials in a California home they now say is too dangerous to enter.

The 54-year-old resident of the house in Escondido, George Jakubec, a naturalized U.S. citizen from Serbia, remains jailed after a judge set his bail at $5 million. The unemployed software consultant has pleaded not guilty to charges of possession of explosive devices, possession of bomb-making materials, bank robbery and burglary.

Authorities initially found homemade grenades Sunday after being summoned to the house after a gardener was hurt in an explosion.

On Wednesday, bomb squad members went back inside and discovered blasting caps and two types of explosive materials, including pentaerythritol tetranitrate, KTLA-TV in Los Angeles reported. They also found containers of hydrochloric acid, nitric acid and sulfuric acid and 50 pounds of hexamine, a bomb-making material, in a storage area outside the house.

“Proactive operations on site have been suspended,” the San Diego County Sheriff’s Department said. “Explosive material and hazardous chemicals remain within the house.”

Explosives experts are working on a plan to safely remove the materials from the property but it is expected to be at least Wednesday before they go back, KTLA said.

11/22/2010 (Escondido)—George Djura Jakubec, 54, pled not guilty today to 28 criminal counts. He is accused of possessing destructive explosive devices and the ingredients to make them, as well as robbing two local banks.

Deputy District Attorney Terri Perez told Judge Marshall Hockett that the suspect’s home was “a bomb factory” containing “the largest quantity of these types of homemade explosives at one place in the United States.” Those materials pose “a huge danger to officers and the public,” she said.

In addition to bombs and explosive materials, authorities found multiple detonators, grenades and shrapnel. Authorities have not disclosed what the intended target of the bombs may have been, nor whether Jakobec was acting alone or as part of an organization.

So, sounds like a real looney. But don’t say the M word ... because aren’t Serbs supposedly Eastern Orthodox Christians? Or is this one a Bosniak? Or does that even matter in this case? Terrorist, or Albanian mafioso, or just plain old nut job? What was this guy up to? And how did he come by these materials and the know-how? And what’s with the bank robberies?

And this bit of Bush bad mouthing is from a conservative.  I’ve read one or two of his history books but think I need to question a bit more his conclusions. He makes statements here I know aren’t spot on.  For example, he says “It is probably no coincidence that Nazi Germany employed the most brutal security methods of any nation in the Second World War, yet had the worst intelligence about its enemies.”
Yeah but not because they used torture.  The Russians sure as heck were their equal if not their betters when it came to torture.  As it happens, I’ve just finished a book called “Stalin’s Follies” and what an eye opener that was.  Anyway, German intel mostly failed for other reasons and the Soviets had em beat at that too.
Bottom line ... according to this loony tune, as usual, it’s all due to Bush. It’s ALL his fault.

Sometimes I just have to post things like this.  Not saying our people haven’t made mistakes or wrong footed something. But I question things like this.

In this war, the West is supposed to stand for democracy, freedom and truth. But Guantanamo has become a global byword for repression and cruelty, conducted in the name of the U.S. and its allies. 

Bullshit Mr. Hastings.  It’s being fought to keep the scummy bastards at arms distance. I don’t buy the democracy and freedom thing as regards the ragheads who pray with their ass in the air and brainwash their women to accept subservience as normal.  Talk till you’re blue in the face, those folks have no use for and wouldn’t know what to do with truth and freedom and democracy. And you only have to read the signs they happily hold before the cameras in your own streets when they protest democracy and freedom.  The only freedom they approve of is theirs. And the freedom they want is the freedom to bury the west.
And they eventually will do just that as long as there are folks like you who should know better, who give them the moral support they need by bad mouthing our own side so publicly. Putz!  With regard to all the money that will be given away to the terrorist scum. That’s what happens in both our countries when you allow civil rights lawyers to run things.

This is the price of Blair’s slavish backing for Bush

Many people in this country will be very angry – and rightly so – that ‘British’ former inmates of Guantanamo Bay detention centre are to receive compensation from the taxpayer of up to £1million each.

The beneficiaries are people who may have legal title to British citizenship, but have shown themselves at least sympathetic to Al Qaeda, and bitterly hostile to the West.

Binyam Mohamed, for example, was arrested in Pakistan eight years ago on suspicion of planning a ‘dirty bomb’. Omar Deghayes, 38, was born in Libya, moved to Britain as a child but preferred to live in Afghanistan under Taliban rule.

Even if there was insufficient proof of their participation in terrorism to secure court convictions, most of those who were released to Britain from American custody regard themselves as foes of this country. Now they are about to get rich out of us.

This is an ugly story, which once again seems to highlight the weakness of the West, reveals the exploitation of human rights law which makes us a soft touch and involves huge waste of public money.

However our government had little choice save to approve this out-of-court settlement. It was advised that, if these men’s cases went to full hearings, the legal costs would be enormous, sensitive intelligence would be made public and, in any case, the Government was bound to lose.

All litigation involving Guantanamo detainees is fatally compromised by the fact that some, if not all, are now acknowledged to have been subjected to torture. Britain’s intelligence services at the very least knew how they were being treated.

Some victims allege that Secret Intelligence Service or MI5 officers were present at their interrogations. Crucially, the Bush administration has been exposed as having lied systematically about its maltreatment of prisoners while being aware it was taking place.

Indeed, an American security expert says: ‘What happened at Guantanamo is a case study in everything that was wrong with the Bush administration.’

After 9/11, when Washington’s neo-conservatives declared their misnamed ‘war on terror’, Bush and his cohorts decided that extraordinary times demanded extraordinary measures. There followed a bonfire of legal safeguards against the mistreatment of suspected terrorists.

Washington sought somewhere to hold out of reach of federal jurisdiction. The American-owned Pacific islands of Wake and Guam – and even the possibility of an aircraftcarrier at sea – were all considered.

But in Guantanamo Bay, with its unique legal status as a U.S. base leased from Cuba, the CIA could use extreme interrogation techniques (including waterboarding) to force the prisoners to confess their ‘crimes’.

In his memoirs published last week, former president Bush claims that as a result of these controversial interrogation techniques, vital information was obtained from the prisoners which meant that lives were saved in Britain and America.

However, I know no one in security circles on either side of the Atlantic who believes this. For although torture sometimes persuades hard men to talk, it seldom induces them to tell the truth. Generally I post only part of an article and give readers the link for the rest.  But this is a very different kind of story.
I’m not surprised at the attitude of the young thugs who by rights should be immediately shot. They are old enough and dangerous enough to be a serious threat.
At this very moment, I am listening to a panel show on BBC Radio 4, where one loopy left wing total ass, is saying violence is okay during protests and demonstrations.  The reason for this particular program and subject tonight, is because of the “student” protests last week that turned violent. There was the usual damage and at one point, one of the slime dropped a fire extinguisher from the roof of a building, narrowly missing a police officer. The jerk being interviewed at the time is okay with that sort of thing.
So then, is it any wonder that there are kids like those described here. In fact, some college lecturer who also was part of the protest, referred to the violent minority as “brilliant.” Just shows you what things have come to here. The police were unprepared and outnumbered. And of course, unarmed.

This isn’t anything to slough off as merely kids stuff. It isn’t. And to think one of the young is a white girl. Good heaven, what was she thinking? Probably an ugly fat slag no white boy would look at.

As the nation paused on Remembrance Day to honour those who had sacrificed their lives for their country, one schoolboy felt particularly proud.

Moved by their bravery, Darius Gill penned a patriotic and heartfelt tribute to the soldiers who had lost their lives at war.

But unknown to the 13-year-old schoolboy, some of his peers took exception to his comments.

A gang of 12-year-old pupils made up of five Muslim boys and one white girl, began plotting a vicious attack on Darius – whose father is Asian – for supporting British troops.

The pupils, none of whom can be named for legal reasons, have now been suspended from a school in Coventry and may be expelled after posting their chilling threats online.

One message - littered with spelling mistakes - said: ‘Fight on Monday gonna be heavy knuckle dusters nd knifes hopefully I don’t die.’

Another pupil added: ‘ill bang him ma slef am a terrorist.’

One member of the gang also posted a picture of himself holding a rifle and threatened to hijack a plane.

Other pupils - who have set up a Muslim Defence League which celebrates British deaths in Afghanistan - also added comments condemning Darius.

But fortunately, the schoolboy’s mother Clare Allington read the comments on Monday morning - the day of the promised attack - and immediately pulled her son out of school.

Yesterday, Mrs Allington, 42, a trainee teacher from Coventry, said: ‘I logged on and it broke my heart. I was reading all sorts about knuckle dusters, knives and death.

‘They were planning to attack him at school that day so I rang the school straight away.’

She added that she usually keeps an eye on her son’s posts on facebook.

‘I have his password and usually check it every day but didn’t last weekend until I was at the Warwick University campus on Monday.

‘If I hadn’t read the threats and pulled my son out of school he could be dead.

‘They might just be school children but they are fanatical and dangerous. The threats have to be taken seriously.’

Even yesterday, one of the yobs, who can’t be named because of their age, bragged about being quizzed by police and continued his threats to attack Darius.

He posted: ‘IM IN TROUBLE WIV DE POLICE CUZ OF SUSSPICIAN OF THREAT TO DARIUS OVER FB U HAVE A RITE TO REMAIN SILENCE!!! (JOKES) BUT IM IN TROUBLLE WIV DE POLICE IM BANGGIN DARIUS THURSDAY NO1 JUMP IN 1 v 1.’

The abuse and threats came after Darius posted two pictures showing British troops on Armistice Day on facebook.

On November 11, he wrote: ‘RIP TO ALL THE LADS WHO NEVER MADE IT HOME.’

He was then branded ‘racist’ and two of the accused pupils began a flurry of MSN messages to each other setting out what they were going to do to Darius.

One wrote to Darius on facebook saying ‘r u being racist?’ and criticised him for failing to acknowledge the dead soldiers in the Middle East.

Darius tried to explain that the poppies honoured British troops and also said he was remembering his great-great uncle who died on the first day of the Battle of the Somme in 1916 aged just 17.

The unnamed pupil’s facebook profile is full of chilling references to Islamic fundamentalism and shows a picture of him posing with an AK47 rifle.

He also penned a terrifying poem about hijacking a plane.

On November 12, he wrote: ‘You better watch what the **** flies outta ya mouth.

‘Or I’ma hijack a plane and fly it into your house Burn your apartment with your family tied to the couch.

‘And slit your throat, so when you scream, only blood comes out.’

Principal Wendy Thomas said facebook was an increasing concern for schools.

She said: ‘Darius is the victim of bullying. All the students involved have told me they did not mean what they said but they will learn a hard lesson from this.

‘Facebook is a big concern for schools and we urge all parents to monitor what their children say on the site.

‘As soon as the school was notified about the comments on Monday we interviewed the pupils.

‘No weapons were found on any of the pupils. We notified the police and they are investigating the incident.’

The students attend the 1,250-pupil Sidney Stringer Academy in Coventry which caters for children aged 11-18. Muslim pupils make up 65 per cent of the pupils.

Mrs Allington added: ‘My son wrote supporting the British troops in Afghanistan and also said he was sad so many soldiers had died.

‘The so-called Muslim Defence League, which has been set up in the school by a number of pupils, believe that Darius should join them in hating British soldiers.

‘It’s appalling and extremely upsetting for Darius.’

The damn thing is .... most aren’t Brits at all. And that Bin Man sure as hell isn’t. OK, what if by some odd chance some of em are telling the truth?
Our folks could not have seen this coming I don’t think.  But I believe both our people on the ground need to get smarter and just disappear these sort of folks.
No record of arrests or detention.  Everything quiet. Some folks might ask questions but let em ask.  With nothing to prove there won’t be anything to answer for.
Pretty stark and pretty extreme perhaps. But then, so is the enemy we face.  Not only Brit libtards but even some conservatives here are jumping on the human rights bandwagon and wringing their collective hands and weeping crocodile tears (some are) about how mean and awful both our intel services treated these folks. For shame they say. And America’s standing and image has been badly hurt. Yeah well, I’m not too sure we need the good thoughts and gropes of those complaining fools. In fact, I’d be worried if they approved of us. It would be a sure sign we have moved even further to the left. Or they want a loan.
I think we should redesign our flag. Smack in the middle of the red and white stripes, we should put a middle finger up to the world. I think I’ve hit on something.

in aid to Somalia.  In dollars, that’s a hell of a lot of tribute. Oh woops. Sorry. It’s “aid” innit?

The ‘tortured’ 16: More than a dozen British terror suspects to get up to £10million compensation

Sixteen terror suspects who were allegedly tortured at the behest of the United States are being paid millions of pounds from the taxpayer in return for their silence over British involvement.

At least one former Guantanamo Bay detainee will receive more than £1million in hush money from ministers desperate to stop the cases reaching court.

One of the largest payouts will go to Binyam Mohamed, the British resident who claims MI5 and MI6 fed questions to his CIA-backed torturers.

The Government refused to confirm or deny reports that the total compensation was £5 million or £10 million.

The cash is being handed over in secret deals without any evidence being shown to the public that Britain condoned or was complicit in what happened.

In return for the cash, the detainees will drop the civil cases for damages that had threatened to lift the lid on the activities of the intelligence agencies after 9/11.

Shami Chakrabarti, director of Liberty, said: ‘It’s not very palatable but there is a price to be paid for lawlessness and torture in freedom’s name. There are torture victims who were entitled to expect protection from their country. The Government now accepts torture is never justified and we were all let down. Let’s learn the lessons and move on.’

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:

1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
