Network Solutions: Chicken Littles or Secret Islamists?
American Internet Service Provider giant Network Solutions takes down fitna.com webiste scheduled to run anti-izzy Dutch film. Network Solutions then proceeds to load up the now unused domain with lots of islam oriented advertisements. 8 of the 10 ads that are listed there. Think they’re trying to send a message?
An American internet provider has moved to ban a website on which a Dutch MP was planning to host an anti-Islam film portraying the Koran as a “fascist” book. Website host Network Solutions suspended http://www.fitna com, the online venue that Geert Wilders, an anti-immigrant Dutch MP, has planned to show a short film condemning the tents of the Mulism faith. {DrewNote: I also condemn their tents. Stinky piles of musty camel hair, crusted with sand, loaded with fleas. Considering what Coleman, Kelty, and The North Face have for sale these days, there just is no excuse. Oh wait, did they mean to write “tenets”? Oh. Never mind.} Mr Wilders had planned to
broadcast a 10 minute movie comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf on the internet site following the refusal of broadcasters to screen the film amid fears of a violent international backlash across the Islamic world.
“Network Solutions has received a number of complaints regarding this site that are under investigation,” said a statement by the internet provider.
The decision by the US website host to bar material deemed as harassing, hate propaganda, threatening, harmful or “otherwise objectionable” follows calls across Europe for the anti-Islam film to be banned.

So, what do you think; good business sense, cowardice hiding behind PC, or secret supporter of the mujahedeen? It isn’t even a bet that whatever server hosts this film is going to get hammered with every virus, trojan, spam campaign, denial of service attack, etc., in the world. It’s the digital way of shouting down your opponents so no one can hear their words. Very similar to campus lefties stealing the college newspapers because they disagree with some article that gets written. If Wilders does find a host, they had better have a damn good firewall and security system. He can’t even give the video away, since YouTube will ban it in a heartbeat.
This is what Political Correctness brings us to. Free Speech, Denied. It isn’t like comparing pisslam to Little Adolph’s Big Book of Hate is anything new; every year you read that Mein Kampf is on the best seller list all over the arab world. And since your average Achmed isn’t exactly a big reader, there has got to be a few similar themes that keep Herr Schicklegruber’s meistervork selling year after year. It can’t be just hating on the Jooooos. That’s everywhere over there.

Muqtada Al-Sadr Comatose In Iranian Hospital
Via MEMRI: Shi’ite cleric and leader Muqtada Al-Sadr was secretly transferred a few days ago from Iraq to Iran for hospitalization as he was comatose.
It was reported that his illness resulted from food poisoning.
Al-Sadr is being treated by Iranian specialists, as well as by Russian doctors brought in to help the Iranian medical staff treat him.

Do birds of a feather all sing the same song too?
Please folks, stop me if you’ve heard a story like this before recently. Somewhere. Anywhere. Maybe in Denmark perhaps?
Kenyan elders have demanded an apology from Washington ahead of a planned protest over the controversial photograph of the American presidential hopeful Barack Obama in traditional Somali dress.
The picture, which appeared on an American website, showed the Democratic front-runner donning a white headdress and robes during a visit in 2006 to the north-eastern town of Wajir.
The photo took centre stage in an increasingly acrimonious race for the White House, with Mr Obama’s aides accusing his party rival Hillary Clinton’s camp of “the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering” after it was published.
Mr Obama, whose late father was from western Kenya, has fought a whispering campaign by fringe elements who wrongly say that he is Muslim and have even compared his surname to that of al-Qa’ida’s leader, Osama bin Laden.
The dispute has angered many in Kenya who resent the implication that Mr Obama did anything wrong during his visit. Wajir residents plan to demonstrate after Friday prayers today to show their support for the Illinois senator. Mohamed Ibrahim, who attended a crisis meeting in Wajir yesterday by clan members who hosted Mr Obama, said: ”The US government must apologise to us as a clan and the old man. We have been offended and we cannot afford to just watch and stay silent.”
He said it was essential that Mrs Clinton “clear her name” too. The old man in question was the retired chief Sheikh Mohamed Hassan.
If there was no apology, the elders would demand the expulsion of US troops based in the town of Garissa.
But ... oh noooo ... don’t you even go thinkin that O-blama just might have some connection to the islamofascists over there. You know, the ones tearing the country apart over the recent elections, the ones “expressing displeasure and frustration” with the government by barricading Christians in their churches and burning them alive. The ones who just happen to be islamic and who just happen to belong to the Luo tribe. Just like Daddy Obama did.
Nope, can’t think thoughts like that. Cuz if you do, then all these pure innocent African types who all just happen to be named Mo-ham-head, will get their diapers and turbans in a twist over some pictures that just happen to be suddenly offensive. Spontaneous riots in Paris by “troubled youths” scheduled for Thursday.
Nothing to see here, move along.

BEIRUT, Lebanon - The chief of Hezbollah told throngs of supporters at a funeral for slain commander Imad Mughniyeh his group would retaliate against Israeli targets anywhere in the world after accusing the Jewish state of killing the militant.
Israel ordered its military, embassies and Jewish institutions overseas to go on alert earlier in the day, fearing revenge attacks for the car bomb that killed Mughniyeh Tuesday night in Damascus. The former Hezbollah security chief was one of world’s most wanted fugitives, accused of masterminding attacks that killed hundreds of Americans in Lebanon in the 1980s.
Hezbollah and its Iranian backers blamed Israel for killing Mughniyeh but Israel denied involvement.
In a fiery, videotaped eulogy broadcast on a giant screen to tens of thousands attending the south Beirut funeral, Nasrallah said Israel had taken the fight outside the “natural battlefield” of Israel and Lebanon.
“You have crossed the borders,” he said. “With this murder, its timing, location and method — Zionists, if you want this kind of open war, let the whole world listen: Let this war be open.”

Thousands gathered in a hall in the Roueiss neighborhood of Beirut where Mughniyeh’s coffin lay draped in a Hezbollah flag. A band played Lebanon’s national anthem and the guerrilla group’s anthem. Outside in the rain, tens of thousands more stood in silence.
Nasrallah — himself in hiding because of fears of assassination since the 2006 summer war with Israel — warned Israel that its alleged killing of Mughniyeh was a “very big folly” which will be avenged.
“Mughniyeh’s blood will lead to the elimination of Israel. These words are not an emotional reaction,” he said, drawing roars from the crowd which raised fists into the air.
Nasrallah said the killing of Mughniyeh did not weaken his organization, but rather provided an incentive for “tens of thousands” of guerrillas who stood ready to fight Israel.
After speaking, scared little mouse Nasrallah ran quickly back to his hidey hole.
Unlike many Middle Eastern leaders whose speeches are riddled with idle rhetorical threats, Nasrallah is known for delivering on his promises, and Israel takes his threats seriously.
In 2006, he promised to take action to free Lebanese prisoners in Israel, and in July that year, Hezbollah guerrillas staged a daring cross-border raid that snatched two Israeli soldiers as bargaining chips.
The incident triggered a 34-day war between Israel and Hezbollah. Early in the fighting, Nasrallah said he would have “surprises” for Israel. Days later, his fighters hit an Israeli warship off the Lebanese Mediterranean coast with Chinese-made shore-to-sea C-802 missile, the first time the group had used the weapon. The war devastated south Lebanon, but Israel and Hezbollah have not negotiated a prisoner swap.
In Washington State Department spokesman Sean McCormack said threats such as Nasrallah’s are alarming.

another failed plot
COPENHAGEN, Denmark (AP) - Danish authorities on Tuesday arrested three people suspected of plotting a cartoonist’s assassination for his depiction of the Prophet Muhammad wearing a bomb-shaped turban that enraged Muslims two years ago.
Investigators said they foiled the plot in its early stages in a pre-dawn raid in the western Denmark city of Aarhus. The police intelligence agency, PET, said two Tunisians and a Danish citizen of Moroccan origin were arrested.
“The case shows that, unfortunately, there are in Denmark groups of extremists that do not accept and respect the basic principles on which the Danish democracy has been built,” Prime Minister Anders Fogh Rasmussen said.
Tuesday’s arrests were meant “to prevent a terror-related assassination of one of the cartoonists behind the cartoons of the Prophet Muhammad,” PET chief Jakob Scharf said. Investigators believe the plot had not advanced far enough to try the suspects.
Scharf said the 40-year-old Danish suspect faced a preliminary charge of violating a Danish terror law, but will likely be released after questioning. The two Tunisians will be expelled from Denmark, he said.
He did not name the intended target, but Danish newspaper Jyllands-Posten said it was the paper’s cartoonist, Kurt Westergaard.
Ok, expell them from Denmark. Right about from the end of the pier. Nobody says you have to give them a ride to anywhere. Make them swim home.
“This is a story that won’t die. It’s disgusting that people are exposed to death threats simply because they are doing their jobs,” said Fred Jacobsen, vice president of the Danish Journalists Union.
He said the union had urged the cartoonists to “keep a low profile” after Tuesday’s arrests.
The cartoonist and his wife, Gitte, 66, have been living under police protection for more than three months because of “concrete murder plans” against him, Jyllands-Posten reported.
Westergaard told Denmark’s TV2 News network that the couple had been forced to move between several locations, both in Denmark and abroad. He praised the intelligence service for their protection.

Legislating Terrorism: behold, the Caliphate arises

LEGISLATION has been brought by the government of President Mahmoud Amadinejad before the Iranian Majlis that would mandate the death penalty for apostates from Islam. The law’s reach would be worldwide, the legislation says.
Yeah? You and who’s army, goat fucker?
The Washington think tank, the Institute on Religion and Public Policy reported on Feb 5 the proposed “Bill for Islamic Penal” law will be the first time that Iran has by statute mandated the death penalty for conversion from Islam.
The legislation used the word “Hadd—meaning that it explicitly sets death as a fixed punishment that cannot be changed, reduced or annulled. In the past, the death penalty has been handed down, and also carried out, in apostasy cases, but it has never before been set down in law,” the Institute’s president, Joseph Grieboski said.
Islam’s five major schools of jurisprudence, the Madh’hab, currently hold that converts from Islam must be executed. However, in the Middle Ages several leading Islamic jurists rejected the death penalty --- as do a number of moderate modern scholars --- noting that while the Koran condemns apostasy as a sin, it does not mandate a penalty.
So this is a step backwards from the Middle Ages. Now that’s what I call progress!
However Islamic law distinguishes between apostasy of an adult and someone who has not reached puberty. The ‘Umdat as-Salik wa ‘Uddat an-Nasik (Reliance of the Traveller and Tools of the Worshipper, of the Shafi’i school of Islamic jurisprudence as practiced by the al-Azhar in Cairo rejects the death penalty for child apostates, as does the Hidayah, the Hanafi juridical work that guides Muslim jurisprudence in India and Pakistan.
The proposed Iranian law would enshrine the mandatory death penalty into the country’s civil code for men. Women apostates would be imprisoned.
So Iran will take the lead here. Watch all the other countries fall into line soon after. Heck, aren’t the Saudis already there? Kinda reminds me of old JRR’s “one ring to find them all and in the darkness bind them”.
Two types of apostasy are set down in the legislation: parental and innate.
Innate apostates are those whose parents were Muslim, declared themselves as Muslim as an adult and then leave the faith.
Parental apostates are those whose parents were non-Muslims, who had become Muslims as adults, and then left the faith.
Article 225-7 states the “Punishment for an innate apostate is death,” while Article 225-8 allows a parental apostate three days to recant their apostasy. If they continue in their unbelief, “the death penalty would be carried out.”
So if you leave the “faith” you get killed. But if you leave the faith, and hold true to that leaving for three entire days, you get killed. Such an enlightened perspective!
Article 112 would give the law an extraterritorial jurisdiction, extending its mandate to cover those who renounce Islam both inside and outside Iran.
Oh no you don’t motherfugger. Pass your own dumbass laws in your own country. Try and export them to my country and I’ll find an old rusty saw just the right size for your neck. But hey, this kind of gall is appropriate for the world-wide caliphate of the “religion of peace”. The law criminalizes heresy saying that anyone who claims to be a Prophet, or a Muslim who “creates a sect based on that which is contrary to the obligations and necessities of Islam, is considered an apostate.” Those who practice “witchcraft” shall also be “sentenced to death.”
Ah Ha! Thought so. Not only will this make leaving pisslam illegal, it will make belonging to any sect other than the one approved by the state a capital offense. And you just know how every other religion, especially Hinduism and Buddism, and let’s not forget Judiasm and Christianity, will immediately be seen as a form of witchcraft.
There you have it folks: if Iran passes this law, and they probably will, they have in effect just declared war on the entire world. Total jihad. But hey, let’s just send Condi over there to talk at them again, or have the UN pass another wobbly resolution. Yeah, that’ll fix them.
Freedom of Choice. Freedom of Religion. Freedom of Thought. These things will not exist in the Caliphate.

BAGHDAD - Remote-controlled explosives strapped to two mentally retarded women detonated in a coordinated attack on Baghdad pet bazaars Friday, police and Iraqi officials said, killing at least 73 people in the deadliest day since the U.S. sent 30,000 extra troops to the capital this spring.
The chief Iraqi military spokesman in Baghdad, Brig. Gen. Qassim al-Moussawi, claimed the female bombers had Down syndrome and that the explosives were detonated by remote control, indicating they may not having been willing attackers in what could be a new method by suspected Sunni insurgents to subvert stepped up security measures.
U.S. Ambassador to Iraq Ryan Crocker said the bombings showed that a resilient al-Qaida has “found a different, deadly way” to try to destabilize Iraq.
“There is nothing they won’t do if they think it will work in creating carnage and the political fallout that comes from that,” he told The Associated Press in an interview at the State Department.
The first attack Friday occurred at about 10:20 a.m. in the central al-Ghazl market. The weekly bazaar has been bombed several times since the war started but recently had re-emerged as a popular place to shop and stroll as Baghdad security improved and a Friday ban on driving was lifted.
Four police and hospital officials said at least 46 people were killed and more than 100 wounded. Firefighters scooped up debris scattered among pools of blood, clothing and pigeon carcasses.
About 20 minutes later, a second female suicide bomber struck a bird market in a predominantly Shiite area in southeastern Baghdad. That blast killed as many as 27 people and wounded 67, according to police and hospital officials.
Involving women in fighting violates cultural taboos in Iraq, but the U.S. military has warned that al-Qaida in Iraq is recruiting females and youths to stage suicide attacks because militants are increasingly desperate to thwart stepped-up security measures.
