These spoiled selfish bastards can only do this because the penalties aren’t severe enough. ie. Broken bones, smashed heads and maybe a bit of necessary killing. But slowly burning at a stake. Hell, there aren’t any real penalties.  Take a look.  And these are supposed to be students? Of what? These are going to be future leaders? Uh huh. The Cenotaph, Churchill… how young thugs broke every taboo

In a grotesque insult to those who championed the very freedoms which allowed them to stage their protest, a baying rabble of masked and hooded troublemakers turned a student demonstration into anarchy yesterday.

They defiled a statue of Winston Churchill by urinating on it, ripped flags from the Cenotaph ­– the nation’s sacred memorial to those who died in the name of liberty – then lit fires and sprayed slogans on the ground in the shadow of the Houses of Parliament.

The physical victims of their violence, inevitably, were the police.

But the casualties of a day when so few were allowed to hijack a legitimate protest were respect and common decency.

From the bottles of urine they hurled aloft, to the scaffolding poles and increasingly dangerous missiles they threw, democracy was held in contempt.

Windows were smashed at the Supreme Court building. Even the Christmas tree in Trafalgar Square – a symbol of peace and goodwill – became a focus for senseless vandalism.

Once again, it was the actions of a minority which overpowered all attempts to keep this protest peaceful.

Every symbol of government or establishment became a target. Anything to hand became a missile.

I saw wood, metal, paint-bombs and smoke canisters hurled at male and female officers.

Police horses were beaten with sticks and at least one iron bar when a section of fencing was used to repel a line of mounted officers.

One of them suffered a serious neck injury after being trampled when he fell from the saddle. At least two other officers were badly hurt.

The irony of attacking and defacing monuments to the freedom which allowed this demonstration to take place clearly escaped the mob. In a sinister echo of the anti-capitalist riots ten years ago, protesters donned black balaclavas to carry out their assault.

Just as then, Churchill’s statue on Parliament Green, decorated in 2000 with a Mohican haircut made from vandalised turf, became a focus. And the plinth became a toilet.

Someone climbed up the base and gave a clenched-fist salute to a cheering crowd. Someone else went to spray graffiti on the inscription.

When cops are injured the outcry is a whisper. But let one of these rotten shits get a hair mussed and it’s Nazi Germany Gestapo beating up on helpless unarmed students.  Yeah well, maybe it’s time this country and ours too should take a second serious look at the old Gestapo. Anyone want to guess the outcome of a demonstration like this in Germany 1940? You can’t anyway because it would never have gotten this far. Why?  Because people understood that there might, no would, be a price to pay. And that’s exactly how you end this kind of thing once and for all.  You don’t fight this kind of anarchy with civil rights lawyers and human rights legislation.  You fight it with a ruthless ferocity that takes no prisoners where there’s clear evidence of guilt.  You make certain their friends witness their suffering with an unspoken warning. The rest will get the message.

one hell of a sad/bad day as German Schools Embrace Islam.

This is some of the worst possible news I could have read today.  The other being the vote in the US on immigration. That wasn’t too encouraging either.

Gee, with so much to be thankful for, and honest, I really am, why am I feeling like the world is coming to an end?
What am I saying?  The world I grew up in sure wasn’t perfect. Far from it.  But it wasn’t politically correct and I hate that term btw. And I hate the people who somehow have gained the power to enforce it. Anyway, the world I grew up in is certainly over. I’m happy about losing the bad parts, but did we also have to toss away the good?

Anyway ... here tonight’s horror story and I’m not trying to be funny.  The fellow who wrote this sure does have it all right.  I hope you will read every line of this editorial.

German Schools Embrace Islam

There is little doubt west European governments are engaged in a form of social suicide. Rather than increased efforts to integrate Muslims into German society, to cite one example, German students will be taught about Islam. In a sense German educators will be engaged in proselytizing for Islam.

The German state of Lower Saxony will start including Islam in its schools’ core curriculum as part of an initiative to counter growing anti-Islam sentiment in Europe. Dr. Bernd Althusmann, Minister of Education in Lower Saxony, announced that schools in the state will start including Islamic education in their main curriculum. “I think we will be able to start implementation by the academic year after the next,” Althusmann said during a visit to an elementary school in the city of Hanover which offers an Islamic education class.

Justifying this approach, Juergen Zoeliner, Berlin Minister for Education, Science and Research, notes, “For years, society and schools have been faced with a variety of new duties and challenges. One of these big challenges is to have people from different traditions, cultural and religion affiliations living together peacefully and respectfully.”

Of course, whether the program in question leads ultimately to a peaceful result is questionable. One might well ask why did the armies of Europe turn back the Turks at the gates of Vienna 500 years ago when programs, like those instituted in Germany, are handing Islam the keys to the future.

German shame over Nazi atrocities has made Hitler’s heritage the end of German history and identity. But should this shame be replaced by preemptive capitulation to a religion with a relentless imperial impulse?

To be sure the Salafists, with Saudi funding, will follow up on their efforts in the schools. But will the full story of Islam be told including the stoning of adulterers, the execution of homosexuals, polygamy, apostasy as a capital offense and the belief that Jews are the offspring of apes and pigs?

It is instructive that “diversity education” is predicated on the belief that we in the West have on obligation to understand Islam. However, the reverse doesn’t follow. One might presume that Muslims in the West should come to know and appreciate Western Civilization. Moreover, students who are not versed in the history and customs of the polity they find themselves in will be handicapped. Yet curiously integration, that was once the overarching strategy for dealing with immigrants, has been replaced by cultural pluralism, “from the one, many” instead of “from the many, one.”

In Germany and throughout western Europe there is an effort to bend over backwards to accommodate the Islamic population.

In the process, this effort produces results that counter good intentions. First, the Islamic population believes, with considerable confirmation, that Europeans do not possess the will to assert the importance of their own culture and traditions. Second, the insertion of Islam into German schools suggests tacitly that Islam is on the rise and cannot be denied even in non-Islamic nations.

Preemptive capitulation is nothing more than an attenuated form of defeat. It is noteworthy that Islamic leaders recognize it in this way. The aggressive stance taken by Islamic leaders in Europe is based to an extraordinary degree on the flexibility and weakness of those who might defend the West.

I doubt anyone noticed but I was not here yesterday laid up with my own darn off to bed day. Fine today because I’m loaded on pain killers so I don’t give a darn.
But I’m also damn well PO’d again. I am really steamed and wish this jerk would just die, or get hit by a bus.

Someday Mr. Cable I will return to my home country. You may visit as who knows. Anything is possible. You might find yourself in my part of the country. You might be walking across the street and BAM!  Oh gee. Really officer, I didn’t see the man. My foot slipped and hit the gas. Gosh. I am sorry. (snicker,snicker) Is he dead?
No? Oh, can I try again?

Mr. Cable for Yanks who don’t know the shit, is a member of the Lib/Dems.  Liberal Democrat Party. Those are the folks who always know what’s best for you and will be happy to do your thinking for you should you tire of the exercise. And even if you don’t.
Mr. Cable is the business secretary and finds it his bleeding business to try and stall and or influence the American practice of the Death Penalty.  So ... in an effort to do just that ......

Human rights victory as Vince Cable imposes restrictions on export of ‘execution’ drug to U.S.

Tighter controls have been imposed on the export of a drug used in the execution of U.S. prisoners.

Business Secretary Vince Cable today announced the move in an apparent backtrack after earlier refusing to ban sodium thiopental being exported for such use in America.

The sedative is part of a three-drug cocktail used in lethal injections in the US. The States has a shortage of the substance and many states have halted or slowed the pace of lethal injections while searching for alternative sources of the drug.

Last month, Arizona Chief Deputy Attorney General Tim Nelson confirmed the state used sodium thiopental from Britain to execute an inmate.

The statement came during the course of judicial review proceedings of Mr Cable’s refusal earlier this month to use his powers under the Export Control Act to impose an immediate ban on the drug’s export for execution purposes.

Nathalie Lieven QC, appearing for two death row prisoners, Edmund Zagorski and Ralph Baze, had told Mr Justice Lloyd Jones at London’s High Court that Mr Cable’s initial decision was irrational and unlawful as state executions were a clear violation of fundamental human rights the UK sought to protect, and the Government had reaffirmed its commitment to the global abolition of the death penalty.

She said that there was a national shortage of the drug in the US and the UK was the only known source, and there were ‘strong grounds’ for fearing that sodium thiopental from the UK had already been used in lethal injections.

Unless an export ban was imposed, further supplies from the UK could be used to execute her clients and many other prisoners.

And my feelings are equal for any fuckin foreigner who thinks our business is theirs as well. And I’m damn well pissed off at my own country for being in such a dumb position.  How do we let these things happen?  I can’t think of any excuse. Why is this drug only available here and the USA apparently doesn’t have the formula?  Why can’t we reverse engineer the recipe?  Steal the damn thing if need be.  Let em sue and be damned.  Abolition of the DP? Fine. In your fracked up liberal to the extreme system where your idea of penalties is a softly,softly approach while whack jobs are out free stomping and stabbing people and getting penalties like, “community service.”

I guess added to everything else I’m a mite frustrated because I’m still here, and unlike a prisoner who counts the days to freedom, I haven’t yet reached the point where I can even start counting. Try that on for size.  So I read this sort of thing and see it purely as other ppl sticking their unwanted nose into our back yard. And just for the official record.  I hate it when I think my own country does that for whatever reason.  Unless it’s in our national security interests.

Why isn’t our CIA or some other secret agency out there killing our enemies which include any politician of any country or any group of ppl or any organization who gets in our face?  Why is that maggot who initially gave away documents to Wikileaks still breathing?  I read that our people had been watching the shit who started it all for some time. And they let him live?  Why?

US to spend $200 mn a day on Obama’s Mumbai visit

Mumbai:  The US would be spending a whopping $200 million (Rs. 900 crore approx) per day on President Barack Obama’s visit to the city.

“The huge amount of around $200 million would be spent on security, stay and other aspects of the Presidential visit,” a top official of the Maharashtra Government privy to the arrangements for the high-profile visit said.

About 3,000 people including Secret Service agents, US government officials and journalists would accompany the President. Several officials from the White House and US security agencies are already here for the past one week with helicopters, a ship and high-end security instruments.

US President Barack Obama is likely to arrive in India on November 5 instead of November 7 as originally scheduled. He will leave Washington DC on the night of November 4 soon after the mid-term Congressional election where many pundits are predicting severe reverses for the Democratic Party.

He will be away from the US for almost 12 days, one of the longest tours during his presidency, touching India, Indonesia, Japan, and South Korea, before returning to Washington DC on November 14.

Barack Obama’s trip to India ... will be the biggest by any US President - with a staggering 40 aircraft and six armoured cars. Details of the elaborate arrangements for the tree-day presidential visit on November 6 were leaked to Indian newspaper earlier this week. Forty aircraft - including the Air Force One military plane - and six heavily armoured cars will follow the president around the country.

The entourage will be the biggest ever in terms of logistics and manpower for any US president. The president himself will be ferried around in a black Cadillac - dubbed ‘Barack Mobile’ - which has its own built in communications centre - to enable Obama to be in touch with the White House, US vice president and the US strategic command.

Obama will be accompanied on the trip by US first lady Michelle Obama and their daughters Malia and Sasha, according to Indian newspaper Headlines Today.

... and yes, he’s taking his pet teleprompters with him. They’ve never, ever been needed in the entire history of India, but to give his under 20 minute talk he will have them. Simply unbelievable.

Things to do and the weather is miserable ... damp,misty English chill in the air ...  Bogged down with a project and took a break and found this. Said screw the break I just had to share this thing.  It’s mind boggling maddening. 

Earlier this week one of the top cops in the country said they’d lost the streets to the punks, who now rule. It was sort of interesting but nothing the public hasn’t known for some time. In other words, nothing new but confirmation of the known.  Especially the victims and the families of.

Today, there was an example of just how much the bastards (yobs to Brits, thugs/punks to us) really do rule.

In the three years since their ‘neighbours from hell’ moved in, Graham Lukes and his partially-blind wife Christine have seen the peace and quiet of their middle-class suburban community torn apart.

From the outset, the ‘dysfunctional’ family of council tenants seemed to take pleasure in making their lives a misery.

First it was interminable noisy late-night parties, then intimidation and verbal abuse.
Bags of rubbish were dumped over the fence, attracting rats.

Bottles of urine were thrown into their pristine garden, and cars were driven recklessly, at high speed, around the square outside.

Mr Lukes, 64, made repeated complaints to police and the council but no action was taken.

The children terrorised the neighbourhood - but he realised there was little point reporting the problems, so he and Christine, 61, simply had to endure them.

Then last week, in the middle of the night, a tin of pink emulsion paint was dumped over his two-year old silver Chevrolet and the tyres deflated.

Mr Lukes called the police and explained what had happened, expecting that finally some action would be taken.

Astonishingly, he was told no crime had been committed. The paint could be washed off, the officer said, and the tyres reflated.

No freekin crime?  Then WTF do they call crime here?  Oh right. My memory plays tricks.  Insulting a protected minority, burning a koran, using the ‘N’ word or the term WOG, questioning if travelers belong wherever they settle. The list is longer I believe.

“PROTECTED FAMILIES.” Can you believe that?  I read but have no idea if it’s actually true.  Protected from what and from who?  The police?
But everything I have just posted above is still not the reason I stopped what I was doing to boot the puter and post this. The following is really a foul, disgusting and very sad commentary on the state of things here.  It isn’t as though this happens everywhere.  And naturally things like this will be well covered by the press. Every day. What makes it so god damned bad is that so far, it is not controlled sufficiently.  If at all.  The punks laugh when they are arrested, and brag to friends and foe alike. They are almost immune.  It’s rare indeed when one of them gets what is coming to him.  Meanwhile there is a gaggle of civil rights lawyers at beck and call to see that the rights of the thugs are not violated.  And don’t even think gun.  Just having one illegally can find you in a very bad fix.  Unless of course you’re a minority member or a yoot of tender age at 13 or 15.

Tormented to death: Pensioner, 80, dies after she falls into manhole trap set by yobs who made her life a misery

An 80-year-old woman died after sick yobs removed a manhole cover from her driveway and she plunged into the hole in darkness.

Jenny Ward, who still worked on a market stall selling jewellery, had been plagued by a gang of youths who smashed the windows of her home and taunted her for several months.

The thugs’ campaign of harassment eventually ended in tragedy when the pensioner returned home and fell into the trap late one night.

Her cries for help went unheard for three hours until she was finally rescued by firefighters.

After spending a month in hospital and enduring an operation on her foot, Mrs Ward went to live with a relative, but took a turn for the worse and died in hospital on September 8.

Blackpool coroner’s office said Mrs Ward died after a blood clot formed in her lung caused by deep vein thrombosis.

However, friends and neighbours of the pensioner, who had run a market stall in Blackpool for 50 years, said she had never recovered from the campaign of torment and her fall into the manhole.

They have accused police of not doing enough to deal with anti-social behaviour and urged them to find those responsible.

They said that in the weeks leading up to the manhole incident she been scared to return to her home on Shetland Road, because a gang of around ten to 15 teenagers would gather regularly outside her home.

Here’s an old lady still working at age 80.  Chances good the thugs who did this are collecting “benefits.” I’m certain you would not bet against that.
Here’s an old lady, alone and afraid because she was getting verbal abuse and she had her windows smashed by yoots.  Scum of the worst sort. This old woman didn’t deserve what happened to her or the treatment she received at the hands of criminals. She will not be their last victim.  You can take that to the bank!

Lithuanian squatters ‘snatch ANOTHER home while owner is out’ ….

America, this is what happens when lefty hand wringer, bleeding heart, pc. bed wetting liberals take control of your country and your borders. With the help of course of the EU because it is open borders we have that helps drive this.  Of course, just so you know, “squatters” here are nothing new and are always hard to dislodge.  It’s a maddening thing that brings down that curtain of red mist.

For many years, almost 20 in fact, my wife’s mother lived in fear that somehow squatters would learn of the house next door, and that it was empty all that time.

She used to keep flowers in baskets on the front porch, flowers in the windows inside, and had lights on timers in the house to make it look lived in.

The owners who lived in London were very wealthy (the daughter of the house married a Harley Street Heart Surgeon) and they kept the heat on yr round and all utilities.  The MIL would collect the mail and forward on any bills that came.  The lawn was taken care of every two weeks by a landscape service and hedges trimmed as needed.  In the winter the MIL used to take her washing next door to hang and dry as the old place had central heat.
Squatters could easily have taken the place over had they known.  And damn little to be done about it.  My wife says that in the ‘80s it was even worse. Her description is epidemic. 

The property was sold and the house shown here demolished. Very sad to see the old place go. It would have been a squatters delight had they but known.
Very large modern and ugly house now occupies the space.  All brick with stainless steel gutters and no character.

Gang of Lithuanian squatters ‘snatch ANOTHER home while owner is out’

Mother-of-one Angie Belalij, 37, claims squatters moved in to her home after she moved out to allow renovation work to go ahead

A gang of Lithuanian squatters are moving into people’s homes and changing the locks while they are out.

George Pope, 72, took his dogs for a walk and returned to find a family had moved in and changed the locks.

And now it has emerged Angie Belalij, 37, also lost control of her home when illegal tenants allegedly moved in after she left to allow renovation work to go ahead.

Police and the council say they are powerless to act unless they have a court order requiring the squatters to be evicted.

The deadlock leaves the authentic residents in limbo and facing a potentially costly court battle to reclaim their own home.

They fear bogus estate agents are watching their homes and waiting for them to go away before moving in illegal tenants.

Mrs Belalij, a mother-of-one, was having her home in Barking renovated and so moved out.

But when she returned, she says she found a family of Lithuanians had moved in. They have now been living there for five months.

‘I went round to see the builders and we found squatters in the house,’ she told the Express.

‘When I said to them “Why are you here, this is my house”, they got in my face shouting at me that they had rented it and they had rights.’

A picture taken outside the property yesterday showed a young woman clutching a sharp kitchen knife, leaning over the gate.

Mrs Belalij says the squatters claimed they were paying £600-a-month to live there.

A printed notice stuck to the window cites the Criminal Law Act 1977 and threatens to prosecute anyone who enters without permission.

Because the squatters have refused to leave, they can only be evicted if the residents go to court.

Would you not call it a home invasion robbery? Is this place fuckin crazy er what? 

LEGAL LOOPHOLE

Landlords cannot legally evict squatters without going to court. Police and councils have no power to act so even though squatters have no legal right to stay, you cannot physically remove them.

Landlords will have to pay up to £1,500 in legal fees to fund civil action.

Homeowners can go to the country court and apply for an interim repossession order if they do so within 28 days of their home being taken over.

A judge may grant an order which must then be served on the illegal tenants. If they refuse to move within 24 hours, they can be arrested.

The order is not permanent and a hearing will then be held before a judge to decide rightful ownership.

One-legged soldier denied disabled badge because he might ‘get better’

Although it wasn’t their intent, I got to feeling a bit guilty recently when I was reminded that a LOT of what I contribute here to BMEWS has very negative content where the UK is concerned.  While that’s true, please know I don’t plan it that way.

I’d love to report on a story of a Brit doctor who discovered a pill to cure all cancers.  Or even one of the many.  The problem is, until proven otherwise,
I can’t help but feel this place is fallen apart and wonder how far down this path my own country might go. 
What am I supposed to say when a former police chief openly said he was proud to be politically correct?  That’s insane.  I can’t imagine an American chief cop saying anything like that.  That’s a very old story of course but it seems to be so damn typical.  No way could I ignore that.  And lets not even bring up Health and Safety.  Good grief, what a nightmare that is.  The descendants of the generation that Churchill promised would fight on the beaches and in the cities etc and never surrender, are now so risk adverse some folks wear those dweeb helmets when all they’re doing is walking.  I can’t ignore that.

SOLDIERS NEED ANGER, SAYS JUDGE

A JUDGE refused to force a 21-year-old who glassed a man in the face to attend an anger management course – because he said soldiers need anger to do their jobs.

Probation officers had recommended the anger replacement programme for Richard Evers, of the King’s Royal Hussars, after he attacked a man, causing multiple cuts.

But at Gloucester Crown Court Judge William Hart dismissed the idea.

He said: “I do not see the need for that. Indeed, soldiers who don’t have any anger are probably of limited use.”

Evers, of Bodman Road, Springbank, admitted a charge of affray, but the judge gave him a lenient sentence designed to save him from being discharged from the Army.

Judge Hart had been told that even a suspended jail term or an order to do more than 100 hours of unpaid work would result in the Army throwing Evers out.

He accepted a defence submission that it would be better for the country for Evers to continue his military service – including a posting to Afghanistan in 2012 – rather than consign him to the dole queue.

Instead, he passed a 12-month community sentence.

I can appreciate the judge not wanting to wreck the guys army career, and we don’t know if he was defending himself or who did or said what. But come on, he glassed the other guy and it looks like he got off.  And this isn’t just one example.  You have no idea how many I just pass on.

But the real outrage this week and one that just can’t be ignored and should have huge screaming headlines in the hard copy of my three papers and doesn’t,
is this one.

You just have to wonder, what exactly is going through what passes for a mind among the bureaucrats who make these decisions.

A soldier who lost a leg fighting the Taliban was told he didn’t qualify for a disabled parking badge because he might “get better”.

On three separate occasions Lance Corporal Johno Lee has been turned down by his local council.
The 27-year old, whose heart stopped twice when he injured in Afghanistan, has now had more than £800 in parking fines for leaving his car in disabled bays.
And last month he was forced to hand over the money when a council bailiff arrived at his home threatening to take away his belongings if he didn’t pay up.

To add insult to injury Nottinghamshire County Council told him he was “young and may get better” when he first applied for a “blue badge”.
“What do they expect – my leg to grow back,?” He said, “ I told them they’d didn’t quite understand the situation and it was unlikely my leg would grow back.”

His right leg was amputated below the knee after he was caught up in an explosion in Helmand Province in 2008.
He has served two tours in Iraq with 2nd Battalion, the Yorkshire Regiment prior to deploying to Afghanistan.

He was in a snatch Land Rover on a patrol around Gereshk when an explosion flipped it onto its side, catapulting him into a minefield.
He ordered his comrades not to rescue him until it was safe, so had to spend two hours in the minefield bleeding profusely while bomb disposal experts cut a path to reach him.

He then “died” twice when his heart stopped on the helicopter taking him to Camp Bastion and on the operating table, but he was revived each time.
When he returned to his home in Coddington near Newark, Notts, he applied to the county council for a blue disabled parking badge,
But to his astonishment his claim was turned down – as were two further applications.

IF THEY’RE THE MOST HATED FAMILY IN THE USA, THEN WHY ARE THEY ALL STILL BREATHING?

Far as I’m concerned, this filthy,vile verminous slimeball with the big mouth has shouted FIRE in a crowded theater.  I don’t understand a law that says what this miserable bastard turd and his family do, are merely practicing free speech and expression. NO THEY ARE NOT!  They all know god-damn well what they are doing.  Intentionally causing more grief and more stress to a family already hurting beyond measure.  I’d even go so far as to say I don’t believe they are really Christians nor do I think they actually believe what they are doing has religious reason behind it.  Religion is their shield. No more then that.  But never mind.  The burning question is, when oh damn when is some stand up patriot or group of patriots, gonna silence this nest of vipers once and for all?  When?  Why is it taking so damn long? Wouldn’t you just love to ram a shotgun into this open mouth?

Father of US Marine killed in Iraq is ordered to pay £11,000 to protesters who held up ‘Thank God for dead soldiers’ sign at son’s funeral

The father of a U.S. Marine killed in Iraq has been ordered to pay £11,000 to anti-gay protesters who picketed his son’s funeral.

Albert Snyder had launched legal action against the religious group led by preacher Fred Phelps after they disrupted the service and held up signs reading ‘God Hates F**s’ and ‘Thank God for dead soldiers’.

The funeral of Marine Lance Corporal Snyder, 20, who died in Iraq in March 2006, was one of many picketed by the group.

Mr Synder was so outraged by the disruption that he filed a lawsuit against Phelps in an attempt to bankrupt him.

He said he wanted no other family to suffer the indignity of having a funeral ruined by their antics.

Phelps and members of the Kansas based Wesboro Baptist Church are known as the ‘most hated family in America’ for their extreme beliefs.

They regularly demonstrate at military funerals, carrying inflammatory signs to draw attention to their anti-gay message.

The religious group protest at the funerals of soldiers, regardless of the sexuality of the deceased military personnel, and use the events to bring publicity to their campaign.

Jeez ... it’s this sort of thing that makes the blood boil.  It’s this sort of thing that Littlejohn at the Mail has written a book about. It’s lunacy.

Rapist who dumped victim on rubbish tip escapes deportation after judge says he ‘has right to stay and marry in UK’

A convicted rapist facing deportation has won a High Court battle to be allowed to stay in Britain so he can get married.

Alphonse Semo, a refugee from the Democratic Republic of Congo, threw his victim on a rubbish tip when he ‘had finished with her’.

But last night he won the right to remain in the UK for his wedding, just hours before he was due to board a plane back to Africa.

A judge said it was difficult to have any sympathy for Semo, who was jailed for eight years, but he must be allowed to stay.

Mr Justice Collins said the Home Office had at first agreed to let the 53-year-old, from Deptford, south east London, get married to his long-term partner, a German national.

Then the wedding was effectively cancelled by a subsequent decision ‘by the same Home Office - no doubt by a different department’, he said.

The judge added that he was ‘very reluctant’ to intervene but said the Home Office could not be allowed to play ‘hot and cold’.

The judge said: ‘With considerable reluctance, I have to say he must be allowed to marry.

‘That means there will be a prohibition against removing him.’

The judge said the Home Secretary would have to reconsider later, after the marriage, whether to make a fresh attempt to deport Semo.

That would engage issues of EU law as his bride-to-be, Bunsana Kalonji, is a refugee from the Congo who became a German national. The pair have a long-established relationship.

Defamation case over Prophet Mohammed cartoons ‘to be held’ in Britain

A Saudi Arabian lawyer has threatened to use British courts to overturn a Danish free speech ruling by bringing a defamation case over cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed that depicted Islam’s founder as a terrorist.

Faisal Yamani, a Jeddah based lawyer, is planning to take a case to London’s libel courts on behalf of over 90,000 descendants of Mohammed who have claimed that the drawings have defamed them and the Islamic faith.

Cartoon caricatures of the Prophet Mohammed were published in Danish newspapers in 2006 triggering violent protests across the Muslim world and riots which claimed the lives of over 50 people.

According to Danish press reports, the case can be heard in the Britain because the images, including a caricature of Mohammed with a bomb shaped turban, have been freely accessible via the internet.

Danish politicians and publishers are furious that European Union rules reward “libel tourism” by enforcing British defamation rulings across Europe.

Ebbe Dal, managing director of Danske Dagblades Forening, the Danish national newspaper association, is concerned that Britain’s tough libel laws could be used to restrict free speech in liberal countries such as Denmark.

“The Danish courts have decided that the case is not actionable and that we are allowed to print the drawings in Danish newspapers and websites,” he said.

“It would be very odd if a civilised country like Britain could go against that. If this succeeded we would have to pay a lot of money to Saudi Arabians misusing the British courts to make it difficult for freedom of speech.”

Mr Yamani demanded last year that 11 Danish newspapers remove all cartoon images of Mohammed from their websites and issue front page apologies along with promises that the images would never be printed again.

Only one newspaper, Politiken, agreed to the demand leading to the new threat of an expensive British court action backed by wealthy Saudi Muslims.

Lars Barfoed, the Danish justice minister, has complained to the European Commission that EU rules forcing Denmark to enact British court rulings would damage freedom of expression.

“It’s fundamentally reasonable that judgments in the EU can often be exercised across borders. But it would be taking it to the extreme if a UK court could rule against the Danish media and then require compensation and court costs to be paid,” he said.

EU officials have acknowledged that libel judgements in the British courts have become a major issue since “Rome II” rules on mutual recognition of European court rulings entered into force last year.

“We are well aware that there is a problem with libel and defamation tourism involving Britain, where judges can be sympathetic and damages awards are high. There will be a review next year,” said an official.

A British Ministry of Justice working group on libel law is expected to publish a report calling for reform later this month.

“The government is concerned about any potential chilling effect that our libel laws are having on freedom of speech,” said a spokesman.

Insinuating that a woman is not as strong as a man will be “unlawful sex discrimination”

Why heck, we’re runnin’ out of bats for this one. Mz Harperson really demands and intends to leave no feelings or even the possibility that there lurks the intent, or the the possibility that by pure accident, a lady may be offended and thereby have her “rights” impinged.  Hey .. read this and tell us if she isn’t off the edge of the flat planet she is living on.  In fact ... NOBODY, men or women will have hurt feelings or more specifically, their ‘umin rights’ abused or brought into question, as Harperson see those rights.

I will not take the time to go through this and post comments line by line. It’s too exhaustive and time consuming. This legislation is full of so much crap I don’t see how it can pass.  But there isn’t any mistake that Happy Deluded Harriet thinks it a neat idea and worthy of becoming the law of the land.

Gym staff could be prosecuted for warning a woman not to lift heavy weights under equality legislation being championed by Harriet Harman.

Insinuating that a woman is not as strong as a man will be “unlawful sex discrimination”, under the terms of the forthcoming Equality Bill.
A code of practice explaining the legal implications of the Bill, which is currently going through Parliament, states that being a woman is “a protected characteristic”.

The code, drawn up by the Equality and Human Rights Commission, explains ways in which women might be unfairly stereotyped and defines behaviours that will in future be seen as discrimination.
It includes a long list of examples of “unintentional less favourable treatment” including what might happen to a woman when she joins a gym and begins lifting weights.

It states: “A general stereotype about men and women is that in terms of physique, most men are stronger than most women. Nevertheless it is likely to be unlawful sex discrimination for a gym to test every woman’s strength but not every man’s before allowing them access to weightlifting facilities.”

The code makes clear that it will not be seen as an excuse if the motive of the gym staff is to help a woman or save her from injury.
“It does not matter what the service provider’s intentions are or whether the service provider’s less favourable treatment of the person is conscious or unconscious.

“The service provider may even think that they are doing the person a favour, or simply be unaware that they are treating the person differently because of a protected characteristic.”

The Bill, championed by Ms Harman, the Equalities Minister, has already courted much controversy and attracted the criticism of the Pope when it proposed that churches would be prosecuted for refusing to employ gay people.

The legislation also provides protection under the law from discrimination for “any religious belief or philosophical belief” and even “a lack of belief”.
Last week it emerged that vegans would be protected, along with members of cults and “new religions” such as Scientology.

Advertisements giving preferential treatment to men or women could also be illegal, meaning the end of “ladies’ nights” at clubs, when women receive cut-price drinks or free entrance but men pay full price.
People for whom abstention from alcohol was a way of life would be given new rights to protect them from discrimination.

The Bill will give more scope too for the prosecution of shopkeepers and club owners who refuse to allow entry to certain types of people.
It says that shopkeepers who refuse entry to black teenagers, for example, after stories in the local press about thefts in the area by black teenagers will be prosecuted for race discrimination.

The Bill also creates a new offence of discrimination by association. The code states that if a nightclub refused entry to three Polish people and an English man, the English man could claim he has suffered racial discrimination by association.

If a boy is refused membership of his local football club and his parents are two lesbian women, he could claim “unlawful direct discrimination by association because of sexual orientation”.

Curry house owner foils burglary… and then HE’S thrown in cell when yobs complain

When a restaurant owner found two teenage yobs raiding his beer cellar, he chased them and held them while his staff dialled 999.

Sal Miah assumed police would commend him for catching the young criminals.

But when officers arrived, they arrested 35-year-old Mr Miah on suspicion of assault and battery.

‘The system is a joke. How can a man who tries to prevent a crime in progress end up being the criminal?

‘People are living in fear of these kind of yobs but when you do take a stand and try and defend your home or your business you end up in trouble.

Ever get up very late, or early in the morning because you suddenly thought of something you forgot to do before going to bed?  Woke up (it’s half past midnight here) and had to boot because I forgot something important before shutting down. Oh well, I figured I may as well check some things that will be in the news when I ran across this mind boggling pile of stupidity. There are not enough moonbats to award this school.

Tell ya what tho.  If it were left to me I take the person or persons responsible for this outrage, and make em think they were going to be shot. I’d also take IDs and tell em their families were on the list to be next.  Lets see how well the ass-wipes respond. Fuckin jerks!
It’s this very sort of thing that make non Jewish families who never before had ill will or denied the holocaust, into very non sympathetic people. I know damn well I’d be.

Here, see for yourself and see what you think.  If one of the kids were yours you would ..... ? Just fill in the blank.

The idiot who authorized this is, Deputy head teacher Elizabeth McGlynn.  I wish her the worst.  Knowing myself pretty well, and knowing my temper and reactions to stupidity like this, I can pretty well say that Ms McGlynn might already be dead by now if I had a kid in that class.  I’d worry about consequences later if I worried at all.  The point being, an example should be made of her.  One that would be so horrific that no pol.correct teacher would ever even think of pulling a stunt like this again.  A simple bullet in the head would not be enough. By example I mean things I can’t even post here. She’d damn well deserve it!

Primary schoolchildren in tears after they are told they will be removed from families as part of Holocaust ‘game’

A group of primary schoolchildren were left traumatised after their teacher told them they were to be taken away from their families during a bizarre Holocaust classroom ‘game’.

Pupils became hysterical after a number of them were separated and told they were being sent away or might end up in an orphanage.

The terrifying ordeal was meant to give the students at the Lanarkshire school an insight into the horrors faced by Jewish children during the Second World War, when they were plucked from home and sent to Nazi death camps.

But the ill-conceived exercise, which was sprung without warning on the children at St Hilary’s Primary School in East Kilbride last Thursday morning, went badly wrong with many pupils, aged just 11, reduced to tears.

Deputy head teacher Elizabeth McGlynn was responsible for segregating the pupils and telling them they were to be sent away.

One angry parent, who has lodged an official complaint about the project, told how the ‘barbaric’ role play left children crying their eyes out in class.

In a letter sent to council bosses, the unnamed mother said: ‘Mrs McGlynn told the children they would probably have to be sent away from their families and that their parents had been informed about this and knew all about it.

‘When one child asked if that meant they might have to go to an orphanage, they were told that might be a possibility.

‘At that point many of the children became very distressed.

‘One boy kicked his chair over, one was angry and demanded to speak to someone in charge but most were crying on a scale ranging from mildly to severely.

‘Their ordeal lasted between 12 and 15 minutes before the children were informed that it was all an act but that the role play would continue until lunchtime.’

One girl said her classmates began crying when Mrs McGlynn told them she had a letter from the Scottish Executive saying nine children had to be separated from their classmates.

She told the shocked youngsters those who were born in January, February and March had lower IQs than other children, ‘due to lack of sunlight in their mother’s womb’, and that they had to put yellow hats on and be sent to the library.

The mother added: ‘When I asked why on earth they thought it was appropriate to deliver a role play situation to the children in this way, Mrs Stewart informed me that they didn’t inform the children beforehand.

‘This was because they wanted the children to experience an “accurate emotional response” to this scenario in order for it to be reflected in their story writing.

‘Mrs Stewart then invited me to come up to the school and see the excellent work that had been produced as a result of the exercise.

‘I declined and my position and opinion on the method used to extract emotive story writing from the children was cruel, barbaric, traumatic and totally, totally unethical.

‘My daughter and indeed no child needs to feel the terror, fear, panic, segregation and horror that a child of the Holocaust experienced during one of the worst atrocities in history to be able to empathise with them in order to produce good story writing.’

A South Lanarkshire council spokeswoman, who confirmed that a role play activity took place, said: ‘The council can confirm that a parent handed in a letter to Education Resources on Monday, March 8, 2010, and this will be responded to shortly.’
