Douche News

Ever feel like you’re being managed? Like your opinions are being formed for you by somebody else?

Got an opinion about voter fraud? Think maybe that multi-voters ought to be prosecuted? Think perhaps that a huge piece of the dirty voting is going on in the big cities, perhaps amongst the “urban poor”?

Well, here you go then. You foul opinion holder, you.

Foggy Granny Gets The Bite Put On: 86 y/o Charged With Multi-Voting

An 86-year-old Minnesota woman who suffers from dementia is facing a felony voting fraud charge after she says she accidentally voted twice.

Margaret Schneider tells MyFoxTwinCities.com she forgot she had already sent in her absentee ballot when she went to her polling place in November.

“It’s very hard to remember everything,” Schneider said.

Schneider says the matter is particularly upsetting to her because she considers herself a proud American and has voted in every election.

“I’ve always voted, ever since I’ve been old enough to,” she said.

The criminal complaint against Schneider says records show she submitted her absentee ballot in July. It claims the roster book at her polling place had the letters “AB” next to her name, signifying that Schneider had already cast an absentee ballot.

This aspect of the case is frustrating for Schneider.

“Why didn’t they tell me to go home? That’s what I’m trying to figure out,” she told MyFoxTwinCities.com.

The county attorney tells the station she had no choice but to file charges against Schneider, saying she could even lose her job if she refused to.

“If I have probable cause to believe the crime occurred, I do not have discretion to charge,” Michelle Zehnder Fischer said. “I have to charge it.”

Fischer says she has no interest in putting Schneider in jail, and she hopes the case is resolved quickly.

Schneider says she never would have intentionally voted twice.

“It’s against the law to do that,” she said.

I’m sure there’s a more technical, more appropriate name for this kind of news delivery. Douche News. It fits. But it’s opinion management nonetheless, whether the management is from the story itself or from the reporting done on it. Addled old grannies in friggin’ backwoods Minnesota. And “I had no choice other than to have her charged, I hope she doesn’t have to go to jail”.

Total crock of crap.

Absolute BS.

Maybe this is Douche News because it points out that it’s Zehnder Fischer who’s the real DB here.

The person to arrest was the election worker.

Granny’s voter book had already been marked “AB”, meaning she had voted Absentee. So, no way in Heck anyone should have allowed her to vote AT ALL. Hey Michelle Zinder Fischer: you have probable cause, you’ve got the evidence in your hands, and I don’t see how you could have any discretion here at all. ARREST YOUR POLL WORKER(S) and open a can-o-worms investigation to see how many other “AB” voters they let slip through. And push for maximum punishment. And push for vote negation for your district. Because this was NO ACCIDENT. They’re the gatekeepers, and they are the ones who let the barbarians in. Although this particular barbarian probably showed up with some nice potato pancakes with lingonberry jam to pass around.

Douche.

Most Asinine Media Bias Story of the week

Marco Rubio takes a sip from a bottle of water during SOTU riposte speech.

IS THIS A CAREER ENDER????????????!1111???

“watergate 2013”

Main Stream Morons find bottom of hole, keep digging furiously

Yeah, and I saw this covered on Fox News last night in complete seriousness. AYFKM? WTFF?

It was awkward. It was a little funny. But a “career-ender?”

That’s the question CNN posed regarding Sen. Marco Rubio’s water-swig during his response to the State of the Union Tuesday night.

While Twitter had its fun, and Rubio himself even joined in on the teasing, CNN’s Wolf Blitzer devoted a segment to examining whether the moment could squelch his seemingly rising career.

“Can a drink of water make or break a political career?” Blitzer asked. “A U.S. senator, possible presidential candidate. We’re going to find out, whether he likes it or not.”

As a clip of the swig aired, the graphic on the screen then said: “Career-Ender?”

Conservatives ripped the network. Media watchdog Newsbusters called it absurd.

CNN later defended the graphic, saying it was just a joke.

It was only a joke because even low brow low information voters couldn’t swallow this one. Blitzer. What a putz. If only one of those JDAMs in 1991 had been off by a few hundred yards ...

Hey, remember E.D. Hill? That gorgeous news anchor who used to be on Fox News? The one who “teased” Obama, just a joke you know, just reading off the teleprompter, with that “terrorist fist jab” back in 2008?

Teasing a segment on the “gesture everyone seems to interpret differently,” Fox News’ E.D. Hill said: ”A fist bump? A pound? A terrorist fist jab? ... We’ll show you some interesting body communication and find out what it really says.” In the ensuing discussion with a “body language expert,” Hill referred to the “Michelle and Barack Obama fist bump or fist pound,” but at no point did she explain her earlier reference to “a terrorist fist jab.”

image

I think these days ED does the morning web radio out of Sandy Springs Georgia. Where? Yeah, that’s what I said too. Oh wait, now she works for CNN. Sometimes. I never watch that left wing crap. I guess that network is “joke proof”; you can’t punish Wolfie by sending him to CNN because he’s already there.

Another Commie Rag

These damn Marxists all sing from the same songbook don’t they? Another jerk-off fishwrap newspaper is trying to expose legal gun owners. Let’s hope the backlash puts them out of business.

Maine newspaper wants list of CCW permit holders.

“Oh no, we’re not planning on publishing it!”

AUGUSTA, Maine – Maine Republican lawmakers expressed outrage Thursday over a newspaper’s request of police agencies across the state for their lists of concealed-weapons permit holders, but the paper said it never had any intention of identifying anyone on the lists.

The Bangor Daily News has invoked Maine’s Freedom of Access Act in asking police to release the information, a request police said they appear to be obliged to fulfill under state law. The newspaper’s request came two months after a suburban New York City newspaper published an interactive map with the names and addresses of thousands of permit holders.

“I’m surprised a Maine newspaper would lower itself to make such a request,” said Rep. Gary Plummer of Windham, who joined other Republicans, including the permit-holding governor, in asking Thursday for quick action on a bill to outlaw the release of publishing the names and addresses of concealed-weapons permit holders.

Gov. Paul LePage released a statement saying, “If newspapers would like to know who has concealed weapons permits, then they should know the Governor has his.”

LePage said he’s concerned the Bangor newspaper’s request “will incite fear among gun owners and non-gun owners alike regarding their safety. There is no reason why these records should be public and I encourage the Legislature to act quickly to make this personal information confidential.”

Maine House GOP leader Ken Fredette of Newport said publishing the names would let potential gun thieves know where gun owners live. Gathering information at the newspaper’s request also comes at a significant cost to police, he said.

“It’s time to stop harassing law-abiding gun owners and start implementing common-sense measures to ensure safety and protect the constitutional rights of Maine people,” Fredette said.

In case you haven’t figure it out yet, the media is at war with your freedoms. They are the enemy. Not just the voice of the enemy, but an active, anti-American statist conspiracy. They all read from the same playbook, they all have the same opinion, they all are pushing for a Socialist/Marxist tyranny run by their hero, Lord Obama, Black Jesus, Lincoln II. And they won’t let up for one second. The worms have finally come out of the woodwork; so for all the people who understand what America is supposed to be about, it’s bug stomping time.

The Geese Did It

An article in last week’s New York Times bemoaned the “gun violence” in Chicago, and blames the rest of the country for it. After all, guns are illegal in Chicago, yet here they are killing hundreds of people all by themselves every year. While banging the tired old drum of “guns easily acquired in other states” it somehow completely fails to mention that it is already against the law for an Illinois resident to purchase guns directly from an out of state dealer. It’s also against the law to sell guns to known felons, and it’s against the law to bring those guns into the city of Chicago. There’s a whole lot of law breaking going on somewhere, or a huge amount of convenient theft.

CHICAGO — Not a single gun shop can be found in this city because they are outlawed. Handguns were banned in Chicago for decades, too, until 2010, when the United States Supreme Court ruled that was going too far, leading city leaders to settle for restrictions some describe as the closest they could get legally to a ban without a ban. Despite a continuing legal fight, Illinois remains the only state in the nation with no provision to let private citizens carry guns in public.

And yet Chicago, a city with no civilian gun ranges and bans on both assault weapons and high-capacity magazines, finds itself laboring to stem a flood of gun violence that contributed to more than 500 homicides last year and at least 40 killings already in 2013, including a fatal shooting of a 15-year-old girl on Tuesday.

Blah blah blah. Dave Blount at news blog Moonbattery takes them to task and mocks their asinine argument. Yay Dave.

A sidebar article supports the “it’s everybody else’s fault” premise, and shows us a map of traces the Chicago cops did on 50,000 “crime guns” recovered in a 12 year period:

image

It’s pretty obvious that, while most of the guns came from just outside of Chicago, a vast number seem to have migrated right up the central corridor. Central corridor? Migrated?? A ha! And in a flash I knew the real culprits:

(NYT map roughly overlaid with Mississippi Flyway Migratory Bird map)

The geese did it!

(What the heck. Storks deliver babies; why can’t geese deliver Glocks?)

President Skeeter

Obama: “I go skeet shooting all the time”

CNN reporter refers to public doubts, asks for pictures, get excoriated by other journalists for daring to question Fearless Reader.

During a segment on Monday night, [CNN reporter Erin] Burnett took over two minutes to dissect the president’s shooting claim — and she found it wanting.

“Obama the skeet shooter,” she began. “Yeah, I’m not making this up. I mean, if someone is, it isn’t me.”

She then played the clip of CNN’s Jessica Yellin confronting Press Secretary Jay Carney on the comments, repeatedly asking if a picture of the activity existed and why no one had ever heard of him doing it before.

Burnett then turned to a panel where she said there’s “skepticism” among conservatives and non-conservatives about the president’s claim.

“So, now you’re going to say you do it all the time, don’t you have to kind of prove it?” she asked.

Mediaite’s Tommy Christopher wasn’t impressed: “Such speculation is to be expected from a deranged partisan, but not from a journalist. She owes him an apology.”

Well, good for CNN for having a reporter who actually can do her job. Too bad she didn’t know shiite herself about guns, and - knowing in advance that she was going to ask about the skeet thing - didn’t look up any facts about the sport or contact a bona fide skeet shooter for validation. Darn shame. IF she had asked him, fer instance, “what kind of shotgun do you use”, “what chokes to you use”, “what scores do you average”, “which is your best station” or anything that was specific to the sport of skeet, his answers or lack thereof would have shown the truth in an instant. Sorry, but I can’t accept that someone of the “genius caliber” like Barry could do something all the time and not become familiar with the terms specific to the activity. When something piques your interest, it’s only natural to learn about it to slake your curiosity.

But still. Baby steps for the MSM. At least she asked a question. For all we know, he skeets as poorly as he bowlings.

To be fair and balanced though, if the story only comes through Carney’s lying pie hole, then it would be pointless to ask such questions. He’d defer, and if the WH ever came back with answers, they would have had plenty of time to concoct a detailed story. But I would like to see Barry go mano-a-mano against Dick Cheney. Heck, I’d even give BO a newbie’s break, and let him stand on the ladie’s line ... just so long as he and Dick both play each station at the same time.

Where Racism Really Lives

The shooting at Lone Star College down in Texas yesterday completely dominated the news all afternoon. It was the only story on every TV news channel, and preempted broadcasts on many others. Uh oh, we’ve got another Newtown on our hands, let’s roll.

By 11 o’clock last night the story was dead. It got a brief mention. This morning the story is so far down the page at CNN.com the link is next to “Remembering Heath Ledger”. At Fox News online, the story link is way “below the fold”, down by “Voice of Charlie Brown arrested for stalking”.

How is this possible? How could this huge story just up and die so quickly?

Because the shooters and the victims are black. Nothing to see here, move along. Just another nigga moment, same old same old.

The shooter has been identified as Carlton Berry, 22.

The men both ended up with gunshot wounds, and one of them shot and wounded a maintenance man who was an innocent bystander, according to acting Harris County Sheriff Armando Tello.

“He said, ‘I don’t want to fight you, I’m not trying to go to jail,” said Eyyonna Fontenot, a student who witnessed the argument and shooting.

She said the gunman initially walked away, but then changed his mind when the other man said something else.

“Whatever ticked him off, whatever they said, [the gunman] got it out of his backpack and just started shooting,” she said. “I just ran out of there cause I didn’t want to die, I have two kids.”

The shooting led to a campus lockdown and two-hour search for the gunman who got away. Several nearby Aldine ISD schools were also put on lockdown as a precaution.

A law enforcement source said the gunman shot the man he was arguing with, then accidentally shot himself in the buttocks.

Lone Star College student Brittany Mobley said she saw the whole thing happen.

“I saw two dudes basically get into an altercation and the dude that shot, he basically got angry and started shooting the other guy,” said Mobley. “A lot of people heard a lot of shots.”

Mobley said the suspect had the gun hidden in his clothes.

“Basically, I seen the dude that shot him and as soon as I heard the bullets flying and the gun being fired off, then everyone started running and it was a hint for me to start running as well,” Mobley said.

Some hint.

Jed Young, a spokesman for the college system, told The Associated Press that a “shelter-in-place order” was issued at the college due to reports of a shooter on campus. Students, faculty and staff were advised by the college website to take immediate shelter where they were. The school later said it was on lockdown.

Lone Star College is a community college system based in the Houston region and has six campuses associated with it.

Lone Star’s North Harris campus is 20 miles north of Houston in unincorporated Harris County. The campus has roughly 19,000 students.

According to the Lone Star College website, weapons are not allowed on the campus. The school offers firearm safety courses through its Second Amendment Academy
.

That campus was put into lockdown, as well as all the other schools in that system; with 19,000 students at this college, and who knows how many at the other ones, it’s likely that 50,000 people were impacted by this event. Yet not even 24 hours later and it’s nearly forgotten. Oh well, just another day in da hood. Next story, move along. Hey, maybe Sofie Viagra had another wardrobe malfunction?

Berry has been charged with aggravated assault and is still in the hospital.  The man involved in the argument was shot three times and is reportedly in critical condition at Ben Taub Hospital.  The maintenance man was shot in the leg and is expected to be OK. He was also taken to Ben Taub.

Another student on the campus was taken to the hospital after suffering a possible heart attack. The campus and nearby Aldine ISD schools were put on lockdown while dozens of law officers searched each building for the second suspect. They also searched a nearby wooded area and the neighborhoods surrounding the campus.
...
Around 2:15 p.m., the suspected gunman turned himself in at Northwest Medical Center with a gunshot wound, according to law enforcement sources.

I did not see a single op-ed calling for blacks to be disarmed, or for further gun control amongst gang members, or illegal guns in the black community, or a hand-wringing essay on the epidemic problem of spontaneous lethal violence in the black community. Not a one. Close to 3 out of 4 when it comes to “gun violence” and leaders in many other kinds of violence (Google up “ghetto lobster” or “shaken baby syndrome”, epidemic to that group, that only the real racists will discuss) but not one pundit dares to speak out.  And this idiot Berry wasn’t even charged with attempted murder. Nope, just aggravated assault. For shooting people multiple times. What is that, um, 2/3 of a crime? The police can’t be bothered much either. The soft racism of lowered expectations. Alive and well at every single media source in America. Even Fox News. Racists.

Fox showing it’s bias and stupidity, again

Officials say three people were wounded when gunfire erupted at a gun show at the North Carolina state fairgrounds.

It happened Saturday at the Dixie Gun and Knife Show, a quarterly event that usually draws thousands of people.

State agriculture department spokesman Brian Long says a 12-gauge shotgun discharged while its owner unzipped its case for a law enforcement officer to check it at a security entrance.

Two bystanders were hit by shotgun pellets and taken to a hospital. A retired deputy sheriff suffered a slight hand injury.

This is what’s called an accidental discharge due to a stupid person.  ONE ROUND is not an eruption of gunfire. It’s a shame that these people got a bit, ahem, banged up, ahem, but the security guard was ineffective IF it was his job to check all incoming firearms to ensure they were not loaded.

Dumb stuff happens, even with guns. Remember the very first rule of gun safety: all guns are assumed to be loaded until you yourself have personally verified that they aren’t, and don’t be a dummy. The owner was negligent in not clearing the weapon before taking it out of his home.

And try and get some outdoorsman type reporters for these things, AP and Fox. You city boy bias is showing worse than a ghetto kid’s underpants.

Two other people were hurt by bullets at other gun shows around the country the same day. One guy managed to shoot himself in the hand while loading his 1911 after leaving a show, and another guy pulled the trigger on a gun he’d removed the magazine from but hadn’t checked the chamber.

Stupid people. Now of all times. Thanks a lot dumbshits.

Assume all firearms are loaded until you have personally verified that they aren’t. This means removing the magazine and cycling the action several times - 3 or 4 - to make sure no cartridge is anywhere in the weapon.

Always point a firearm in a safe direction when loading or unloading it, or when handling it. Don’t be Darwin, m’kay?

Never touch the trigger or the hammer with anything until you are ready to shoot. This means your thumb, your fingers, your shirttails, your belt, the tent flap, etc etc so on an so forth.

And remember, the ONLY gun safety that actually works is the one installed between your ears. If you don’t use that one first, all the mechanical ones on earth won’t do you any good.

They Are All In It Together

Fox News - and probably other networks and news sites - are reporting that the Journal-News has taken down it’s web page that features the names and addresses of tens of thousands of law abiding pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester Counties in New York.

New York newspaper removes gun permit database from website after outcry

WHITE PLAINS, N.Y. – A suburban New York City newspaper has removed the names and addresses of residents with pistol permits from its website.

Publication of the permit data following last month’s school shooting massacre in Newtown, Conn. produced a storm of outrage from gun owners. It also quickly resulted in a new state measure meant to protect permit holders’ privacy.

The president and publisher of The Journal News Media Group announced the move Friday. Janet Hasson said the new law does not require removing the data, but “doing so complies with its spirit.”

The Journal News had published interactive maps on its LoHud.com site pinpointing thousands of permit holders in Westchester and Rockland County. The maps remained online late Friday but could no longer be manipulated to find names and addresses.

Fox News reporter Trace Gallagher was on TV saying how the paper had outed “several” counties of data on the web page, and how the Journal-News said took the page down 27 days after publishing it because people move around and the data they showed could lose accuracy over time.  Which is pretty damn funny because my name was one of those dots on the map ... and the data on me is 15 years old. They also sort of claimed to be stealing a march on the possibly changing law that would make such a disclosure illegal.

But neither Mr. Gallagher at 7:30pm nor the other talking heads on Fox News TV several hours later, nor the article online quoted here in its entirety, mention a single word about the 2 burglaries that have occurred in the past week that may be directly tied to that web page. The first one, the one in Westchester that failed, absolutely was due to the Journal’s “outing” although officials aren’t admitting it; the second one, in Rockland county just yesterday that DID result in several handguns and permits being stolen, most likely also was. Oh hell, of course it was; anybody with open eyes and a functioning brain can put 1 and 1 together and see that they add up to “massive lawsuit”.

And one day later the Journal-News pulls the page. CYA much? Company lawyers wielding a major cluebat at corporate HQ? Hella yeah.

And Fox, “fair, balanced, and unafraid”, doesn’t say a thing about either robbery. No connection. No implication. Nothing to see here, move along. Sheep.

One part of the media covering another. Even “rebel” Fox News. You can’t trust any of them to give you the truth or the whole story.

PS - not a word from CNN either, who tries really hard to make the Journal-News look like heroes.

The Dangers Of Being Outed

And So It Begins Continues

Journal News map-listed guns, permits stolen from New City home

Two handguns and two pistol permits were stolen from the New City home of a man whose name and address are listed on the website of a local newspaper as possessing gun permits, police said.

The thieves ransacked the house Wednesday night, breaking into two safes on the home’s third floor and stealing a third safe. The guns were in the stolen safe, police said.

Clarkstown police said they had no evidence the burglary was connected to the controversial map.

“The burglary is still under investigation, and there are no facts to support this correlation at this time,” Clarkstown Sgt. Joanne Fratianni said in a statement. “If the investigation develops further information, it will be released accordingly.”

Family members at the burglarized home refused to speak publicly Thursday, and police are keeping reporters off the property on the quiet suburban street.

“At this early point in the investigation, we believe it is a random crime and the home was not targeted,” Clarkstown Det. Lt. Charles Delo told News12.

The burglary comes less than a week after a White Plains homeowner—who also was listed on the Journal News website as having gun permits—arrived home to find his home burglarized, with jewelry missing and an attempted break-in of his gun safe. The thieves were not successful, and no guns were stolen.

White Plains Police Commissioner David Chong said Monday that it was “premature” to connect that burglary to the website listing but said it was part of the police investigation.

The guns that were stolen in New City included a .45-caliber Colt revolver and a .22-caliber Iver Johnson. Cash, U.S. savings bonds and jewelry were also stolen.

The homeowner’s stolen pistol permits were for Rockland and Orange counties.

There is something a little odd here; a Rockland County permit is perfectly valid for Orange County: one gun owner does not need both. Perhaps there was more than one permit holder living at that address, and perhaps the Journal-News’ map was only capable of showing one person per address. Perhaps the owner had moved to Rockland County and had re-registered his pistols, but hadn’t yet got around to sending the old one back to Orange County.

Orange County is the next county to the north of Rockland County, and Rockland County is the first county across the Hudson River from New York City. Actually, directly across the Hudson from New York City is New Jersey, and Rockland County sits on the state border.

However, that’s all beside the point. The point is that his house got burgled, and not his neighbors. Funny that. Coincidence? I really doubt it.  Like I said the other day: lawsuit time. Multi-million dollar lawsuit time. Sue the paper, sue the state.

The Journal-News does not even have the decency to take that page down, now that they’ve proved their point (whatever it was). Thus they knowingly continue to put law abiding citizens at risk. Sue them naked.

:Eyeroll:

Give us this day, our daily stupid ...

Larry Ward, chairman of Gun Appreciation Day, told CNN that if blacks had been given the “right to keep and bear arms” since the country’s inception, “perhaps slavery might not have been a chapter in our history.”

“The truth is – I think Martin Luther King would agree with me if he were alive today – that if African-Americans had been given the right to keep and bear arms from day one of the country’s founding, perhaps slavery might not have been a chapter in our history, and I believe wholeheartedly that it’s essential to our liberty,” Ward said.

Ok, it’s good that he’s all pro-2A and all.

But holy flamiin shitbal CRIVENS!! some folks really need to think things out just a tiny bit before opening their mouths.

This was on CNN, in a bit of a debate segment. So naturally the anti-gun woman handed him his ass in a bucket. No kidding. Makes me wonder though ... did CNN bring him in precisely because he is this stupid?

Just pondering things.

Oh, and maybe I’m getting senile a couple decades ahead of time, but ... I’ve never heard of Gun Appreciation Day before this year. I remember National Ammo Day and National Buy A Gun Day (April 15th IIRC) both of which I think were started by Kim Dutoit and his minions (any number of which are members here too). And I know the government has more damn useless “Day” days to appreciate everything from ‘57 Chevys to hernia trusses ... but Gun Day somehow slipped under my radar. And they’ve already got a national chairman? Says who???

10 seconds of research: Yes, it is new. And probably poorly named ... diliberately? ... and thus perhaps a bit of astroturfing?? Anyone halfway intelligent would have called it Second Amendment Appreciation Day.

utter hypocrites

The NY newspaper who “outed” 50,000 legal pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester Counties and pissed off hundreds of millions of people worldwide, because Guns Are Bad, M’kay? and You Need To Know That Your Crazy Neighbors Are Packing now has a full and complete understanding of the phrase “the chickens have come home to roost” and has now hired armed security guards to protect their business offices (and presumably the homes of their employees that a swift and vengeful internet published as a counter attack). The very reason that people own guns in the first place, which the Journal News seems to think is so eeeeevil, is exactly what they immediately resorted to when the jaundiced and steely eye of public opinion turned against them. Complete hypocrisy. Completely typical of our liberal elite masters too.

via Drudge

The Journal News is Armed and Dangerous

Armed guards from RGA Investigations have taken up post at the Journal News’ Rockland County headquarters

Guns are good for the goose but NOT for the gander.

A Clarkstown police report issued on December 28, 2012, confirmed that The Journal News has hired armed security guards from New City-based RGA Investigations and that they are manning the newspaper’s Rockland County headquarters at 1 Crosfield Ave., West Nyack, through at least tomorrow, Wednesday, January 2, 2013.

According to police reports on public record, Journal News Rockland Editor Caryn A. McBride was alarmed by the volume of “negative correspondence,” namely an avalanche of phone calls and emails to the Journal News office, following the newspaper’s publishing of a map of all pistol permit holders in Rockland and Westchester.

Due to apparent safety concerns, the newspaper then decided to hire RGA Investigations to provide armed personnel to man the location.

Private investigator Richard Ayoob is the administrator of RGA. He told the Clarkstown Police on Friday, December 28 that there had been no problems on site at the Journal News headquarters despite the massive influx of phone calls and emails.

Golly, I can’t believe it. They felt unsafe and insecure, so they turned to firearms? Say it ain’t so Joe. Say it ain’t so.

PS - a shot in the dark? - I wonder if Richard Ayoob is any relation to Massad Ayoob. Mr. “.357 with a 125jhp”? Not a common name in these parts.

It is not clear whether the negative reaction has threatened the Journal News’ true popularity as a news source. As an anecdotal piece of evidence, the Rockland County Times confirms receiving an influx of new subscribers who stated they cancelled their subscription to the Journal News due to the gun story.

When I was growing up, the J-N was a decent little small town paper. Things have changed. May they go down in flames even faster than Newsweek, lose every subscriber and advertiser, and even have their rag paper rejected by the recycling centers.

Update? Then there’s this one. Which refers to this. Wonder what will be done with it?  And on a far darker note, there is this, which has been duplicated at nearly every gun store in the nation:

Every weapon of military utility designed within the past 100+ years was gone. This isn’t a society stocking up on certain guns because they fear they may be banned. This is a society preparing for war.
...
Tread carefully.

Molon Labe, mofos.

Media Brings You Your Daily Fear

Uninformed Ninnies Continue Knee-Jerk Idiocy

Oh noes, we must RENEW the Invisible Guns Act!!! Because there could be even more invisible guns out there someday!!

Horry Clap, a hoplophobic Luddite. Never thought there’d be such a thing, but there ya go. Rocks in his head, and his head in the sand. Amazing.

Activists worried as groups say

downloadable and printable guns possible

Downloading a gun’s design plans to your computer, building it on a three-dimensional printer and firing it minutes later. No background checks, no questions asked.

Sound far-fetched? It’s not. And that is disquieting for gun control advocates.

Rep. Steven Israel, D-NY, said the prospect of such guns becoming reality is reason enough for the renewal of the Undetectable Firearms Act, which makes illegal the building of guns that can’t be detected by X-ray or metallic scanners. That law expires at the end of 2013.

At least one group, called Defense Distributed, is claiming to have created downloadable weapon parts that can be built using the increasingly popular new-generation of printer that utilizes plastics and other materials to create 3-D objects with moving parts. University of Texas law student Cody Wilson, the 24-year-old “Wiki Weapons” project leader, says the group last month test fired a semiautomatic AR-15 rifle—one of the weapon types used in the Connecticut elementary school massacre—which was built with some key parts created on a 3-D printer. The gun was fired six times before it broke.

Oh fer the love of Allah. You friggin ijits. You udder maroons.

We covered this story - the Print A Gun - what was it, 2 years ago? 3 years ago?

It don’t work. Period. It will never work. Period.

Even if you had a printer that could use metallic powder instead of plastic powder, and build up a shape made from printed steel, it would not work as a gun. The Wiki Weapons people may have created a few parts for an AR-15 on their printers, but let’s get a group realization that there are plenty of parts on a gun that are not subject to the pressures and stresses of firing. For example, you could build the sites or the carrying handle out of printer plastic, and it would work for a bit. Perhaps, maybe, you could make a few of the trigger assembly parts the same way, and they’d work for a bit. WTH, these parts are made out of plastic on the “real” ones already, just a much better grade of plastic. But there is NO WAY IN HELL, EVER, that the barrel, bolt, bolt carrier, upper receiver, firing pin, or any of the springs could be plasti-printed and made to work, even once. NOT EVEN ONCE. You need forged steel or titanium to contain the immense forces created when you fire a gun. 65,000psi, and short term plasma temperatures nearly as hot as the surface of the sun. You can’t get there from this article’s here.

This is fear mongering journalism. Completely unhinged irresponsible crap ... brought to you by FOX NEWS. [2A fans take note: you now have NO friends in the media, not even Fox]

And even more frightening is that some bed wetter in government has already made up a law preventing such a thing, so long ago that it’s up for renewal. Horry clap.

You want to print yourself a “gun”? Google up “Alice papermodel”. They’ll see you the pages you want. But you have to print them on card stock, then cut them out and do a whole lot of gluing. Because they’re selling you a model. Granted, it’s a photo-realistic, 3D, full scale model. Realistic enough so that if you take your model to the mall you’ll probably get shot. But in theory you could download it. But in reality, it is not, never was, and never ever could be a functional firearm.

THE POST’S ENDORSEMENTS

FOR PRESIDENT: MITT ROMNEY

There is essentially just one issue in this race: jobs — and President Obama’s failure to produce them. Romney’s background as a successful businessman will bring the leadership America needs to ignite the economy and confront dire challenges abroad.

Evilist and Baddest

Oh, and I found the most racist, evilist, and baddest, weblog of all time. Or should I say the most honest?

“ White people - tax-slaves - have one purpose in Black-Run America (BRA): to provide safe communities for refugees, immigrants, or Section 8 Voucher holding citizens the opportunity to live in, and eventually exhaust all social capital (utilizing government aid like TANF/Welfare and EBT/Food Stamps) in the area, overwhelming the once pristine community and turning the environment into the exact same scenario these refugee, immigrants, or Section 8 Voucher holding citizens fled from.”

Understand that that was just one microscopic quote, taken 99.8% out of context. But they do push the thesis of BRA, and there are plenty of times when that seems to be the truth. The truth is that the government already is, at least at the federal level, and at most state levels if you have the population demographics.

There are no hit ‘n run posts. No “DIY journalist writing” of 2 pictures, a link, and a quick paragraph. These are essays that dig down; each takes several minutes to read. And the more you read, the further back you’ll want to go to read the older posts. Not because it’s so horrible ... but because a (ahem) niggling little voice inside your head is telling you that you’re finally seeing the real truth. Or perhaps you can’t really, not really accept what you are reading, and want to read a bit more, searching for the Ace of Spades that will tip and knock down this house of cards. I’ve gone back 3 months, and I haven’t found one yet, although to be fair I am not reading just for that one “pull the grenade pin” reason. It is a bit of a shock read at first. And it almost seems like I should be hiding in a dark corner to read the thing. It can’t be right. It just can’t.

Here is the link. Visit at your own risk: Stuff Black People Don’t Like.

It explains the Chicago teacher’s strike perfectly, and why Obama won’t be stepping in to pull off an October Miracle there like I wryly supposed at first was the plan. Fake strike, fake fix, big press. Yeah, in Rahmn Emanuel’s city? Hella yeah Obama would do that, and the press would swallow every last drop and call it gravy. It explains pro sports, the cost of college, the demise of so many of our once thriving cities. And more.

Oh, and speaking of once great cities going to total crap: Camden NJ, once of the major manufacturing centers of the nation, now a gangland ghetto, and frequently voted “worst city in America” is about to lay off it’s entire police force. They can’t do anything anyway, and there isn’t any tax money to pay them.

Some might say white flight and black issues brought the city low.  Whatever.  I say it’s their problem, and it can stay there.

All I hope is that Governor Christie has plenty of chain link fence and concertina wire to wall the place off from the rest of the state. We don’t want it. We won’t have it. And we’ll shoot the first carloads of tattooed muthafuggas in do-rags who come east flashing dey signs and gold grills. And the next. And the next. Farmers and Princetonians don’t play that shit. Take it to your bros in Philly. We’re not buying.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
