the us supreme court MUST order a retrial … says the Times of London. I say, FUCK YOU Times!

It’s late, I’m tired and I had shut down about two hours ago. I need to be off this damn thing, BUT ....

I made the mistake if reading a Times editorial while having a snack before going upstairs.  Nothin’ like something to piss one off to wake one up.

RCOB ....  Commit a crime in my country and pay the price.  Of course in this case the prisoner is not only Brit says the Times, she’s also a minority member.
Ah, must be why she got the death penalty.

Look, till tonight I knew nothing of this case.  It’s too much and too late for me tonight to go and research it. I’ll leave to others and do it as well tomorrow or Monday.

So here’s the editorial. All of it.

Undue process

The US Supreme Court must order a retrial for the Briton who stands on death row

Friends must sometimes agree to disagree. Britain forbids capital punishment; the United States supports it. But above all, good friends must honour their word. An Anglo-American agreement requires Britain to notify the US if it takes legal action against an American citizen, and for the US to do the same if a Briton is to stand trial in America.

So the case of Linda Carty — who was born in St Kitts, which qualifies her as a British citizen — is especially galling. Carty now waits on death row in Texas. In a last attempt to avoid her becoming the first black British woman to be executed in more than a century, the British Government has now presented an amicus brief to the US Supreme Court urging it to reconsider the case.

Carty’s story raises disturbing questions on several levels. First, the case represents a gross abuse of British trust. The British Government — quite rightly — seeks to defend any Briton who stands accused of a capital crime abroad. Other countries may kill their own citizens if they must; where possible we try to prevent them from killing ours. But the Texan authorities made no attempt to discover Carty’s nationality when they arrested her, and the same lack of curiosity and responsibility afflicted the lawyer they appointed to represent her. Hence Britain was effectively precluded from involvement in the case until the death penalty had already been issued.

And speaking of trust, wanna tell us about that muslim slug t binmanmoohamed you rescued from Gitmo and who is now suing YOU guys?  And the documents made public in spite of our intel agencies requesting otherwise. But oh no. Our guys were only trying to cover up torture. And binman isn’t even a Brit. Never ever was.

It is impossible to be certain of Carty’s innocence. But the original trial was clearly a farce. Carty faced the death penalty because her three co-defendents testified against her to avoid execution themselves. Meanwhile, Carty’s lawyer conducted a woefully inadequate defence. He talked to his client for just 15 minutes, blaming her for refusing to talk to him until he “bribed her with a bar of chocolate” — an extrememely unlikely version of events given that Carty is allergic to chocolate. It is also alleged that the lawyer neglected to visit St Kitts even though he had been granted funds by the court to do so. Had he bothered, he would have discovered that the island’s prime minister was willing to testify on Carty’s behalf.

Outrage at the nature of the legal defence provided for Carty extends far beyond critics of the death penalty. Baker Botts, a law firm that has often represented the Bush family, has taken up the case pro bono. Michael Goldberg, the defence attorney now representing Carty, is a supporter of the death penalty. He was simply appalled by the abuse of justice.

America’s execution policy is becoming a source of ridicule. Last autumn Romell Brown lay strapped to the gurney for an hour, sobbing while his executioners failed to find a suitable vein to adminster a lethal injection. In time, it is to be hoped that the United States reconsiders its outdated attitude towards justice and mercy.

More urgently, America should consider its responsibilities to its allies. When the US needs British support, it makes a great deal of the special relationship. British soldiers in Afghanistan and Iraq die every month serving the Anglo-American alliance. But friendship cuts both ways. The Supreme Court must demand a retrial. And America should remember that it owes Britain the obligations of trust as well as Carty the right of justice.

America has a responsibility to its citizens BEFORE any responsibility to you or the UK where a crime is done in our country. You don’t like it? Screw you. Go start another war with the Krauts.

America’s execution policy is becoming a source of ridicule? To whom?  To anyone that counts?  And even if it does. F---Off. Ridicule over the DP is not exactly the number one worry of most of us I would guess and I think I guess correctly.
Or, maybe we should follow you ass wipes at the Time and the libtard left. Sure.  We can see how well the UK has done crime wise since you banished the DP
and disarmed your citizens. And turned your country over to the EU or damn near close enough.

OK, now I’m shutting this thing off.
Good night and Cheers to everyone.  Except the Times.  Jerks!

MONDAY MORNING

I just realized I skipped this bit when I did this post last week.

Romell Brown lay strapped to the gurney for an hour, sobbing

And we’re suppose to care about that?  Hey Times idiots, anyone wonder if his victims were sobbing too?
F$~#in Jerks!

US sports presenter suspended for calling colleague’s clothes ‘horrifying’

She’s 47 going on 16 looks like.

Oh good grief.  Political correctness alive and well in the USA.  Make a dumb comment or even one that’s right on the mark but still maybe dumb and ur toast.
Jeesh.  There’s a photo of the lady he was referring to at the link.  I think she she looks ridiculous as well. Pretty bad cloths sense. IMHO. So why should he be sidelined for venturing an opinion?  She didn’t complain and I don’t think he should have said sorry coz he was damn sure right.
But as always you can make up your own minds, I’m just sayin is all.  It certainly looks like a heads up the butt award for a PC,USA.

A popular US sports presenter has been suspended after calling a woman colleague’s clothes “horrifying” and saying she “dressed too young”.

By Nick Allen in Los Angeles
Published: 10:34PM GMT 25 Feb 2010

Tony Kornheiser, 61, said television anchor Hannah Storm, 47, was wearing a shirt that was too tight and she looked “like she has sausage casing wrapping around her upper body”.
He said: “She’s got on red go-go boots and a Catholic school plaid skirt – way too short for somebody in her 40s or maybe early 50s.”

Both presenters front shows for the ESPN sports network. Mr Kornheiser has been suspended for two weeks from his show Pardon the Interruption. Miss Storm co-hosts the SportsCenter show.
Mr Kornheiser said he had personally apologised to Miss Storm who is said to have laughed off his comments.

He said: “If you put a live microphone in front of somebody, eventually that person will say something wrong. As result of this, I have been sent to the sidelines for a while.”
He added: “I’m a troll, look at me. I have no right to insult what anybody looks like or what anybody wears.”

Discussing her wardrobe in 2008 Miss Storm said she liked “fitted and feminine” clothes.
She said: “I think you can look age appropriate but still don’t have to sacrifice style.”
John Skipper, ESPN’s vice president for content, said: “Hurtful and personal comments such as these are not acceptable and have significant consequences.”

(right you are John. And welcome to the American extension of the PC, UK)

schools which make girls wear skirts may be breaking the law under new laws re. umin rights.

The Mad Hattie Littlejohn refers to here is Harriet Harman, also called Harperson.  She of total equality for all and even where there is no inequality, she will find it so that she can then make it equal.  She is a left wing loony tune and I can’t quite make up my mind who is worse. The former deputy PM, John Prescott or Ms Harperson.  She is a wack job people.  She ugly too but that isn’t important.  One of those white folks born to wealth who want to play Robbin Hood with other people’s money. Wants ta be one of the common folk to show how inclusive she is. Bah.  Lyndon does a much better job of describing the pin head. Seeing her name usually sets Lyndon off so I hope he’s out there right now.

Now mad Hattie’s making skirts illegal

Conclusive evidence that the world has gone stark, staring mad comes from the Equalities and Human Rights Commission , which has announced that schools which make girls wear skirts may be breaking the law - by discriminating against transsexuals.

You couldn’t make it up. A 68-page report on the rights of transsexuals says ‘requiring pupils to wear gender-specific clothes is potentially unlawful’.

It states: ‘Pupils born female with gender dysphoria experienced great discomfort being forced to wear stereotypical girls’ clothes - for example, a skirt.’

This guidance arises out of Harriet Harman’s lunatic, flat earth Equalities Bill, which is due to become law in the autumn.

Local authorities will have to take into account the effects of their policies on minorities.

I’ve no idea how many transsexual pupils there are at your average school. But I wouldn’t have thought all that many.

There was a boy at my school who was rumoured to like dressing up in his mother’s frocks and high-heels, but the headmaster felt no inclination to adapt the uniform accordingly.

Surely any transsexual’s sensitivities could be accommodated by a pair of slacks, without making skirts a criminal offence.

Just imagine the time and money wasted drawing up a 68-page report - that’s right, sixty-eight pages - into the rights of transsexuals. The U.S. Constitution runs to only six pages, and that includes a bill of rights for everyone.

Millions upon millions of pounds are wasted on this kind of institutionalised insanity every year.

Of course, minorities’ rights should be respected but not at the expense of criminalising the normal behaviour of the majority.

If this Bill becomes law, it won’t be long before this ‘guidance’ is tested in court.

This is where a demented obsession with ‘diversity’ becomes a tyranny. We are now ruled by maniacs who think the wearing of skirts should be made illegal.

Here We Go Again

Anti-whaling boat collides with Japanese whaler

image

Feb. 6: The ship Bob Barker fires a laser beam at whaling ship Nisshin Maru in the waters of Antarctica

The anti-whaling ship the Bob Barker and a Japanese harpoon boat collided in the icy waters off Antarctica on Saturday — the second major clash this year in the increasingly aggressive confrontations between the two sides.

No one was reportedly injured in the latest strike. The U.S.-based activist group Sea Shepherd, which sends vessels to confront the Japanese fleet each year, said a small hole was torn in the hull of its ship, but it was above the water line and the vessel was not in danger of sinking.

Sea Shepherd founder Captain Paul Watson said by satellite telephone that the Japanese ship rammed the Bob Barker — named after the U.S. game show host who donated millions to buy it for Sea Shepherd — as it blocked the slipway of the Japanese fleet’s factory ship.

Watson’s claim that the Bob Barker was deliberately hit could not be independently verified.

The Bob Barker sustained a 3-ft. long, 4-inch wide (1-meter long, 10-centimeter) gash in its hull. Welders aboard the ship were already working on patching the hole, and the Bob Barker would resume its pursuit of the whalers, Watson said.

While the typical laser pointer is labeled 5mW and is pretty harmless, you can buy green lasers 100 times as potent over the counter. A 500mW laser sells for about $3000, and has a NOHD (Nominal Ocular Hazard Distance) of 149 meters. Which means it can damage your eyes right quick at any range shorter than that. The most potent 500mW model from Wicked Laser is a Class IV laser, which is nearly a weapon. A green laser runs at a frequency of 532 nanometers. This is the same wavelength generated by a YAG laser. YAG lasers of 1.5W are used for eye surgery; 1KW to 5KW models are used to cut and weld steel. They all produce green beams of similar size. Sea Shepherd has plenty of money to spend, and no ethics at all, so there is no real telling just what kind of laser is being used in the above picture. You’ll never know if it’s a toy or an industrial weapon until it burns your eyes out.

Follow this link for a short brochure on laser safety and classification.

These greenies seem to be this close to trying to start an actual war. I don’t like whaling either, but if the Japanese whalers “accidentally” sink these fools, more power to them. If the whalers call in their navy and they shell the bastards to Davy Jone’s locker, that seems fair to me too. Assholes.

Haiti: a view from out in left field

Wow, who knew that America was so damn lazy and evil? Forget what whats-his-face in Italy was yammering about the other day. Take a look at what some of our fellow countrymen have to say.

US is only in Haiti to keep Aristide from coming back and taking over. Plus, we were dead last compared to all other nations with the relief effort. Even Russia and Iceland were down there saving folks while Obama dithered and wasted time.

President Obama, in keeping with his CIA lineage, has permitted the Pentagon under Robert Gates to take charge of the humanitarian relief efforts in Haiti.

As Cuban and Venezuelan field hospitals were already rendering first aid and trauma care to Haitians injured in the mega-quake, Obama was gathered at a White House photo op with Vice President Joe Biden and other Cabinet officers to state that U.S. military reconnaissance aircraft would fly over Haiti to assess the situation from the air. A U.S. P-3 Orion spy plane from Comalapa air base in El Salvador was dispatched to conduct the surveillance operation, an act that was already being accomplished by earth satellites, the images of which were available on Google Maps.

As Obama was garnering praise from such sycophantic White House outlets as the largely-discredited Washington Post, a 37-person Icelandic search-and-rescue team was pulling trapped earthquake victims from the rubble of collapsed buildings in Port-au-Prince. Iceland, a nation bankrupted by Obama’s banker pals on Wall Street and in the City of London, was able to react in a way that the slumbering and oafish dying super-power, the United States, could not—with action aimed at providing immediate assistance to the Haitian people.

Obama’s generals and admirals, who are mostly more concerned about their appearance than in taking charge and moving out, were still scratching their heads about where to land the U.S. Marines and 82nd Airborne. In fact, military aircraft carrying weapons and other war supplies crowded the airport aprons at Port-au-Prince airport that could be used by planes from other countries carrying much needed food, water, and medical supplies. Argentine doctors already on the scene in Haiti complained that they were running out of simple sewing kits being used as stitches for the injured who had undergone surgery.

When U.S. Special Operations forces hit the ground at Port-au-Prince airport they pointed their weapons at desperate Haitians at the airport perimeter who wanted help not a gun pointed in their faces. Russia, Spain, Mexico, Chile, and Guatemala were rushing in food and water for Haiti.

Meanwhile, Obama was phoning former President George W. Bush to ask him and former President Bill Clinton to launch a fund drive for Haitian earthquake relief. Former Secretary of State Colin Powell, who was partly behind engineering the 2004 coup that deposed democratically-elected Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide, attended a Haitian relief fundraiser at a Washington hotel called “W.” The symbology could not have been worse—it was Bush who showed the world that he was totally disinterested in the 2004 Asian earthquake and tsunami and Hurricane Katrina in 2005 that decimated New Orleans and surrounding areas.

Obama has a CIA lineage? What, other than blaming them for doing their jobs, threatening to arrest them for doing an entirely legal part of that job, and appointing their new boss who has absolutely no background in intelligence at all. And don’t get me going with that last paragraph. What planet is this dingbat living on?

So many people died in Haiti because they were living like sardines in Port au Prince, in poorly made housing. This is America’s fault, since we forced them to build fast and cheap and live tightly packed because we were going to abuse them with sweatshop labor 20 years ago, but that didn’t work out. But the houses got built, so people live in them. Still, blame America. Otherwise they’d all be living in the unspoiled Pandoran rainforest, at one with Gaia.

But USAID had plans for the countryside too. Not only were Haiti’s cities to become exporting bases but so was the countryside, with Haitian agriculture also reshaped along the lines of export-oriented, market-based production.  To accomplish this USAID, along with urban industrialists and large landholders, worked to create agro-processing facilities, even while they increased their practice of dumping surplus agricultural products from the U.S. on the Haitian people.

This “aid” from the Americans, along with the structural changes in the countryside predictably forced Haitian peasants who could no longer survive to migrate to the cities, especially Port-au-Prince where the new manufacturing jobs were supposed to be.  However, when they got there they found there weren’t nearly enough manufacturing jobs go around.  The city became more and more crowded.  Slum areas expanded.  And to meet the housing needs of the displaced peasants, quickly and cheaply constructed housing was put up, sometimes placing houses right “on top of each other.”

Before too long, however, American planners and Haitian elites decided that perhaps their development model didn’t work so well in Haiti and they abandoned it.  The consequences of these American-led changes remain, however.

Holy cow. I think I’ve found where Dennis Kucinich’s supporters are hiding.

Just another thing to get pointlessly pissed off about.

I guess this just another thing for me to be pointlessly pissed off about. I can’t understand how people can become this incredibly stupid, but they have.

Unless this show has been seen in the USA on PBS or cable, most Americans won’t know what this is all about. So here’s a link should you be interested.  http://www.dadsarmy.co.uk/

It was a hugely popular and I am told, a very funny show that ran for a long time. It wasn’t my cup of tea and I didn’t get anything from it but then I’m not a Brit.

Anyway, so popular is this show still, after years off the air, there are web sites dedicated to it. (see above) There was even a board game which eBay UK in it’s unfathomable ignorance and dedication to political correctness has seen fit to ban due to Swastikas on the box. No, it isn’t some right wing racist game dreamed up by the BNP or the KKK or some nut case looking to offend ppl.  Read the article.  Jeesh ….

eBAY, YOU ARE BEYOND BEING MERELY STUPID IDIOTS.  YOU HAVE BECOME WORLD CLASS STUPID “FUCKIN” IDIOTS!  You haven’t the brains god gave a rock. You truly are as the man says, MORONIC!

eBay bans sale of Dad’s Army board game for promoting ‘hatred and racial intolerance’

When Dave Davidson was clearing out some old junk, he thought nothing of selling a 99p Dad’s Army board game online.

Nick Britten

But he was amazed when the auction site eBay refused to let him sell it because it might incite racial hatred and promote violence.
The offending part was a Swastika on the box, modelled on the opening titles of the sitcom which showed Swastikas and Union flags strategically moving around a map of Europe.

imageimage

And despite its apparent family-friendly content, where players attempt to get their platoon to one location on the board, eBay stuck by their decision to ban the auction declaring: “We don’t allow the sale of memorabilia associated with the Nazi Party.”

(Yeah right but I’ll bet ya eBay sells old uncle joe photos and the Hammer and Sickle don’t ya. There’s also a Hammer & Sickle Vodka I am told. Amazing isn’t it, that this ass-wipe, this condom stuffer, can not see that the board game is NOT memorabilia and is NOT associated with any political group. And yet, and yet.  Ppl like this get decision making jobs with large companies and get to decide for everybody else, what is correct and proper to buy and or sell.  )

Mr Davidson said: “I couldn’t believe it when they sent me an email telling me my Dad’s Army board game could insight violence and hatred.

“Its so annoying because any human being with an ounce of common sense can see Dad’s Army is the most harmless TV programme in the world.
“There’s no swearing, sex or violence – it’s not like I’m trying to flog a piece of Nazi memorabilia here.
“I was just baffled.”

He said Ebay was “run by a system, by robots, with no brain who probably just vet the content without looking into anything properly”, adding: ”It’s moronic.

“They allow coins and stamps with swastikas and there are hundreds of novels which are war stories that have them.”
Mr Davidson, from Droitwich, Worcs, discovered his item had been removed from the site last Saturday when he received an e-mail from eBay.

It said his listing breached the company’s offensive material policy and added: “We don’t allow sellers on eBay to list items that promote violence, hatred, racial or religious intolerance, or items from organisations that promote these views.
“We don’t allow items or memorabilia associated with the Nazi Party.”

The ‘Dad’s Army Board Game’ was released in the mid-1970’s when the TV series was at the height of its popularity.
Jenny Thomas, spokesman for eBay UK, said: “eBay will remove listings that bear the marks of organisations that promote hatred and racial intolerance and we are strict and unapologetic in adhering to this policy.”

Peter Oteng, chief executive of the Worcestershire Racial Equality Council, said that there are strict laws about advertising discriminatory material and eBay, as the advertiser, was protecting itself.

He said: “You can’t joke with this because you are joking with millions of people killed. It’s not a laughing matter at all.  It’s very serious.”
He added a compromise could have been to advertise the board game without showing the swastika image.

TELEGRAPH

“You can’t joke with this because you are joking with millions of people killed. It’s not a laughing matter at all.  It’s very serious.”

No you bleeding idiot. It is a laughing matter.  It’s a board game based on a TV show you jerk.  No again you ignorant schmuck. It isn’t serious. It’s a board game based on a comedy TV show. Dad’s Army is a British sitcom about the Home Guard in the Second World War. ‘Dad’s Army’ ran for nine years from 1968 until 1977. It spawned a full length feature film, a radio series and a musical stage show.

I think eBay should reconsider their position on this particular subject and sack the ppl involved. Not because of what they did. No. Because they are just too stupid to work for a major company and make decisions affecting other people. They do not have what it takes.

In Cold Blood

Eles mataram pessoas a sangue-frio.

h/t to Townhall.com

Maybe you caught the Glen Beck show, maybe you didn’t. But if you did, and it seemed a bit rushed, quite overly parsed, you were right. His 1 hour show ought to have run 4 hours. Or if you visited Glen’s web page entry about Friday’s show, and you wondered a bit about this guy Edvins Snore, then this is for you.

This is the link to Snore’s film, The Soviet Story: Click Here. It’s a 90 minute film, and it will require you to install the Veoh video viewer, available at that link. It takes a few minutes, it’s free, and it’s clean. You may also have to install the proper codec, located over here.

Then you can watch the film. If you don’t understand spoken German and Russian, and if you can’t read Portuguese, you’ll have a bit of trouble; the film is about 80% dubbed in English. So you’ll miss significant parts, though the pictures tell the story. Besides, if you have even a passing familiarity with Spanish or Italian you can get the gist of the sub-titles.

Marxism, Leninism, Socialism, Eugenics are all slices from the same progressivist pie. Rebuild society through class warfare to make a better world for the elites. And at the very core, class warfare doesn’t mean “striving” or “converting” or “changing people’s minds through reason and debate”. It means killing them. In their millions. This film makes that point, and then things get really ugly.
(hey did you see the news? Now Obama wants to turn people against those rotten banks! Tax them! Hate them! Elitist moneybags, ruining our economy! Fire Bernanke! Probably all joooooos!!)

This is a horrific film. It is uncovered history, in the raw. It’s the story, or a story, about how things really were under both flavors of european socialism in the 20th century: International Socialism (Soviet communism) and National Socialism (Nazi Germany). The differences are very, very slight. Both were blood drenched nightmare worlds, criminal enterprises from their very beginnings. Both ideologies were highly congruent, very closely related. Snores has made a film that shows that the relationship was deeper than any of us ever realized; that the death camps began in the USSR, that the NKVD trained the Gestapo, that the Soviets supplied the Nazi war machine with massive quantities of material and food while their own people starved. And when the war was over, it was the Nazis who were the hated war criminals, while the Soviets were the heroes. Even though both had committed the same atrocities. Even though the camps were simply moved to Siberia and continued to function for decades after the war. Even though Stalin ... well, I don’t want to give too much away. All we were ever taught in school was that the two nations had a “non-aggression pact” that lasted until Operation Barbarosa, when they became enemies. All the rest was just swept under the rug, and forgotten. But the truth has been found.

In Russia today, there is a resurgence of nazism. According to Snore, in Europe, all of Europe, today there is still the socialist idea that the lesser people need to be eliminated so that the progressives can progress. There will be no call for justice against the dark horrors of Soviet brutality. Not only are such things not even war crimes in Britain, by law!, but Europe is held hostage to Russian oil and gas. And as Snore says, they really aren’t against the basic idea very much anyway.

When inferior nations are being killed, it cannot be seen as a crime, because it makes way for the more advanced nations to build a better life.

This is nothing new. It goes from Margaret Sanger, to George Bernard Shaw wishing for a “humane poison gas” to nicely murder the undesirables, to the Turkish starvation pogrom in Armenia, to the millions killed by Lenin in the Ukraine, and then to the millions of internal “enemies” killed in the CCCP by him and then millions more by Stalin, to the millions killed by Hitler, to the further millions killed by the Soviet after 1945, through Bill Ayers and his matter of fact awareness of a need for “re-education” camps that would eliminate 25 million Americans, right up to the islamofascists today with their genocide in Darfur and their desire to eliminate first Israel, then the rest of the Western world. All groups who have decided that it is their right to decide what the better form of humanity is, (the answer is ALWAYS “people just like us") and all of them utterly willing to kill millions (of lesser beings “just like you") to achieve that goal. a sangue-frio. In cold blood. And it never works, but they keep right on trying, generation after generation.

This is a European film. The Western hemisphere plays only a very small part in it. So it’s up to you to see any similarities, and then draw your own conclusions.

Watching this might just give you nightmares. Do it anyway.

Oh, and I found it really ironic that several of the ads that pester you at the top of the screen during the first part of the film ( just keep clicking the X when they show up; eventually the thing gives up ) were for russian merchandise and clothing. I followed the link to one, the russianlegacy website. And found pro-soviet and Che shirts for sale. Cuz, like, it’s just fashion man. Chill out. It never meant anything, and like, Stalin and Che are totally cool.

I think I need to punch a hippie. Or a progressive democrat. And then I might have to watch this film again.

Holland … a place where your observations about a particular religion lands you in court.

Personally, I think Wilders is a hero.  His mistake, if you want to call it that, was to be openly critical of the ROP.
This is the man who for a time was denied entry to Britain because of his outspoken views.  Everyone and including the Dutch apparently, tip toe around muzzies and their religion like they’re walking on eggshells.  I guess they are. But there is a solution to this insidious problem.

This is a VERY long article found at European News, and so I’ve cut it and the whole thing is at the link below.

The Wilders trial: Torquemada would be proud

International Free Press Society
By Arthur Legger

Any one who still claims that the trial against Geert Wilders MP, leader of the Party for Freedom (9 seats in Parliament and 27 in the polls), which starts on the 20th of January, is not a political process: get a grip.

Accused by the Dutch ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ exactly a year ago for insulting Islam, comparing the Koran to Mein Kampf and delivering hate speeches, the coming trial against Wilders suddenly got a Kafkaesque and potentially murderous twist. Finally, seven days before his first day in Court, all fangs were out and faces off.

“It is irrelevant whether Wilder’s witnesses might prove Wilders’ observations to be correct”, the ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ stated, “what’s relevant is that his observations are illegal”.

(So it’s come to that has it?  The freedom loving Dutch govt. can now prosecute (and persecute) a person for their “observations.")

Unexpected and breaching court procedures the detailed indictment of 21 pages, which Wilders received on the 4th of December and sums up in verbatim all of his Islam and Koran critique in interviews and Fitna, was amended with new accusations of racism against muslims and Moroccans. On top of this, Paul Vellerman, the public prosecutor of the Amsterdam Court decided that the Wilders trial had to be regarded as “an ordinary trial open for public and with a normal procedure, which doesn’t deserve the Department of Justice’s highly secured bunker. His is a normal case and we’ll treat it as such”.

It’s sad to note that Mohammed Bouyeri, the murderer of Theo van Gogh, and Volkert van der Gaag, the assassin of Pim Fortuyn, were tried in this specially designed bunker, but that Wilders has to rely on his personal bodyguards and full metal jacket to ward of terrorists. No safe room for him, which recently secured Kurt Westergaard and his granddaughter, but for months on end the vulnerability of a sitting duck.

The demonized Fortuyn

To a connoisseur of the classic art of Dutch political murder, revived in 2002 with the assassination of the deliberatedly unprotected and demonized Pim Fortuyn, this twist of fate comes, however, as no surprise. The ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ had to do something. Presented with much aplomb in January, already on the 10th of March it turned out that the case against Wilders had one crucial weak spot: it might not hold in Court.

For in a comparable case the Dutch High Court acquitted a Dutchman of his earlier conviction of ‘Group-insult’ of Muslims. He had been sentenced to jail for hanging a poster in front of his window that stated: “Stop the cancerous growth named Islam”. The High Court ruled that “if one insults a religion, one doesn’t automatically insult its believers”.

Gerard Spong, one of the lawyers who lodged complaints against Wilders, was quick to stress, however, that the case against an MP was far more complex than a poster: “Wilders is certainly not off the hook”. But to most professors in Law the High Court ruling proved that Wilders would win with his hands down. Ybo Buruma, a highly influential professor in Criminal Law at Nijmegen University concluded on the 11th of January 2010 that “the prosecution of Geert Wilders is a very nice exercise, but is utterly pointless for it will not lead to a conviction”.

Traditionally with such a High Court ruling and severe scholarly critique the ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ wouldn’t fail to reconsider and dismiss charges. But already a year ago the Wall Street Journal had immediately grasped that “Muslim-immigration [was] eroding traditional Dutch liberties”, forcing Dutch Law into a radically new course of censorship. Observing that Wilders’ critique of Islam outraged muslims around the globe, the Journal chided: “If freedom of speech means anything, it means the freedom of controversial speech. Consensus views need no protection”.

The Wall Street Journal must have been either clairvoyant or hysterically well informed: Paul Vellerman, Amsterdam’s Court public prosecutor, and Birgit van Roessel, the Court’s second public prosecutor, who’re both heading the trial against Wilders, also both are working for the National Expertise Centre Discrimination. This Centre is the leading organization of the ‘Openbaar Ministerie’ to track down “crimes of expression and speech”. The Centre was responsible for lodging complaints against cartoonist Gregorius Nekschot.

The snowball grows? Southers withdraws from TSA leader nomination

WASHINGTON—President Barack Obama’s choice to lead the Transportation Security Administration withdrew his name Wednesday, a blow to an administration trying to explain how a man could attempt to blow up a commercial airliner on Christmas Day.

Erroll Southers said he was pulling out because his nomination had become a lightning rod for those with a political agenda. Obama had tapped Southers, a former FBI agent, to lead the TSA in September but his confirmation has been blocked by Republican Sen. Jim DeMint, who says he was worried that Southers would allow TSA employees to have collective bargaining rights.

In an e-mail to friends and colleagues, Southers said, “It is unfortunate that we are residing in such contentious political times, that exceptional, ‘apolitical’ candidates have to seriously consider their willingness to participate in public service.”

Questions have also been raised about a reprimand that Southers received for running background checks on his then-estranged wife’s boyfriend two decades ago. Southers wrote a letter to lawmakers earlier this month acknowledging that he had given inconsistent answers to Congress on that issue.

In an October affidavit for the Senate Homeland Security committee, Southers initially said he asked a San Diego police employee to run a background check on his then-estranged wife’s boyfriend and was censured by his FBI superiors 20 years ago for what he said was an isolated instance.

But a day after the committee approved his nomination and sent it to the full Senate, he wrote to the senators and told them that he was incorrect, that he had twice run background checks himself.

Southers may not have been a crook, but he is a schnook. The background check thing while at the FBI was blatant abuse of power. Lying about it to the committee was proof that his morals hadn’t improved any in the intervening years. The same guy who says that pro-lifers are terrorists. Who feels that the USA deserves to be a terrorism target because we are allied with France and Israel.  Not the kind of person we want running a quasi-law enforcement agency. Buh bye, Mr. Nutcase.

So another Obama pick goes under the bus and into the dustbin of history.

And don’t buy into this “his nomination was blocked by that evil Republican DeMint”. It was sitting around for 273 days and nobody did a thing about it; that shows exactly how important homeland security is to Fearless Reader. Leave the agency headless for 2/3 of a year, then get your minions to blame somebody else that the position is vacant.

Keep up the pressure on all fronts. Never retreat, never surrender. Get those emails and letters flowing.

Now let’s see if SCOTUS can make the right decision on McDonald v. Chicago and incorporate the 14th. Arguments are scheduled for March 2. Do that, and the snowball will become an avalanche.

Two More Dirty Lefty Hypocrites

Former chief UNSCOM weapons inspector, anti-war Bush critic busted AGAIN for underage sex chat

A former chief United Nations weapons inspector is accused of contacting what he thought was a 15-year-old girl in an Internet chat room, engaging in a sexual conversation and showing himself masturbating on a Web camera.

Scott Ritter of Delmar, N.Y., who served as chief U.N. weapons inspector in Iraq from 1991-98 and who was an outspoken critic of the second Bush administration in the run-up to the war in Iraq, is accused of contacting what turned out to be a Barrett Township police officer posing undercover as a teen girl.

The police affidavit gives the following account:

Officer Ryan Venneman was posing as 15-year-old “Emily” in an online chat room when he was contacted by someone using the name “Delmarm4fun.” This person, later identified as Ritter, told “Emily” he was a 44-year-old male from Albany, N.Y.

“Emily” told Ritter she was a 15-year-old girl from the Poconos, at which point Ritter asked for a picture other than the one “Emily” had posted on her account. Ritter then sent her a link to his Web camera and began to masturbate on camera.

“Emily” asked Ritter for his cell phone number, which he provided. Ritter again asked “Emily” how old she was. Told she was 15, Ritter said he didn’t realize she was 15 and turned off his webcam, saying he didn’t want to get in trouble. Ritter told “Emily” he had been fantasizing about having sex with her, to which she replied: “Guess you turned it off ...”

Ritter then said: “You want to see it finish,” reactivated his webcam and continued masturbating and ejaculated on camera.

EEEWWW. And now it turns out that he didn’t have a “happy ending” after all.

This is not the first time Ritter has been in such trouble. According to reports, Ritter was charged in a June 2001 Internet sex sting in New York, but that case was dismissed.

He had been charged with attempted child endangerment after arranging in an online chatroom to meet what he thought was a 16-year-old girl at a Burger King restaurant. The girl turned out to be an undercover policewoman. Ritter said the criminal charge was a smear campaign in response to his criticizing U.S. policy in the Middle East.

The New York Post reported Ritter had been caught in a similar case involving a 14-year-old girl in April 2001, but that he was not charged.

In 1998, Ritter resigned from the United Nations Special Commission weapons inspection team and has been the most outspoken critic of U.S. policy toward Baghdad.

Gun Control Senator/Lawyer Indicted For Shooting Former Client

State Sen. R.C. Soles Jr., North Carolina’s longest-serving lawmaker, was indicted Thursday in connection with an August shooting at his Tabor City home. Soles, 74, a Democrat, faces a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious bodily injury. A conviction could result in a prison sentence of up to two years.

Soles shot Thomas Kyle Blackburn, 22, in the leg during an incident at Soles’ home Aug. 23. His lawyers, Joseph Cheshire and Bradley Bannon of Raleigh, reiterated Thursday what Soles has maintained all along: that the shooting was self-defense.

“We are disappointed with the indictment of Senator Soles and maintain that he was acting in defense of himself and his home,” the lawyers said in a statement.

The indictment was expected because last month a Columbus County grand jury found probable cause to move forward with charges.

District Attorney Rex Gore, who has long-standing ties to Soles, had recused himself from the case earlier, and the state Attorney General’s Office is handling the prosecution.

Last week, Soles announced he would not seek re-election to the state Senate, the latest in a string of Democratic legislators leaving open seats in competitive districts.

Soles’ decision not to run again could give Democrats a better shot at keeping that seat because Soles’ troubles were sure to be a major hindrance in a political campaign in the district in southeastern North Carolina.

Blackburn’s wounding was the most recent in a string of encounters between Soles and young men who were former law clients.

Ok, at first this doesn’t look like much. It looks like the Senator was defending himself against a felon and former convict trying to break into his house. But it turns out that the guy Blackburn was once represented by Soles, and had been to his house several times before. There is a whole lot “read between the lines” here if you run down the links, and Google up some more:

I don’t want to commit outright libel, but it appears to me that some people have the idea that Senator Soles has a long history of both transient gay dalliances and a long history of gay dominance relationships with his legal clients that in any other context would be called sexual harassment. I don’t live in North Carolina and I never even heard of Senator Soles before today, but that’s my read of all these articles. I was originally just going to post this one because of the “guns for me but not for thee” nature of the story of a gun control legislator shooting one of his former clients, but then the whole thing just blossomed when I started looking stuff up.

h/t to Moonbattery for both these sordid tales.

MUSLIM EXTREMISTS FINED, BUT THE PUBLIC PAYS COZ THEY’RE ALL ON BENEFITS.

Outside the court, they defiantly declared: ‘The taxpayer paid for this court case. The taxpayer will pay for the fines too out of benefits’.

And ya know what?  They aren’t wrong.  This pile of dung masquerading as real life humans are ALL on benefits with compliments of the Brit taxpayer.

One of the many things I find hard to understand is their claim that they are exercising a right of free speech, while carrying banners and poster that

read the hell with freedom.  I know they’re incredibly stupid life forms but it amazes me they can’t see just how dumb that appears to the world. Of course I realize I demand too much of them.  My fault, not theirs.  I expect them to exhibit something human when they so obviously are anything but.
Like this ..... pathetic looking idiot.  In case you can’t see it on your monitor, it read, “freedom can go to hell.”

image

This fool doesn’t seem to understand that without freedom, he couldn’t carry a sign in public that makes him look any dumber then he already is.
These jerks aren’t really all that concerned about what’s happening in muslim countries. If they were, they’d go there and most of us wish the hell they would. But hey ... no benefits to speak of where this species come from ( under most any rock ).  And try carrying a sign that would question religion or war or state policy.  Orf with ees ed.  And still, the west puts up with this sub-human species and placates and pleases and pays benefits to. The list is almost endless.

And talk about appease and placate and bend over backwards.  The group refused to stand when the judge entered court and she did NOTHING!
Read this article and see what reason was given for allowing them to get away with that.  Of course, if the defendants were real humans well, you can just imagine.

Guilty? It’s a badge of honour say Muslim hate mob (and because we’re on benefits, the state will pay our costs)

By Lucy Ballinger and Dan Newling
Mail
Jan 12,2010

A group of Muslim extremists who screamed ‘rapists’ and ‘murderers’ at British soldiers went unpunished yesterday - and called their conviction ‘a badge of honour’.

The five were given conditional discharges for shouting ‘baby killers’ and ‘terrorists’ and waving placards at hundreds of soldiers returning from Iraq.

Outside court they were surrounded by a mob of supporters and boasted they would do the same again, saying they wanted to see sharia law in Britain.

The men, all of whom are on benefits, were each ordered to pay £500 in costs towards the prosecution. Outside the court, they defiantly declared: ‘The taxpayer paid for this court case. The taxpayer will pay for the fines too out of benefits’.

image

Surrounded by other followers of Islam4UK - the group led by so-called preacher of hate Anjem Choudary - they said they would protest again.

Their backers waved a banner saying: ‘Islam will dominate the world. Freedom can go to hell’.

Some of the group members were linked to an egg attack on Tory peer Baroness Warsi when she visited Luton two months ago.

The peer - who was hit by at least one of the eggs - faced a group of shouting protesters telling her that she was not a proper Muslim. No one was charged.

During their six-day trial, the men argued they were exercising their right to freedom of speech and had been telling the truth about the conduct of British forces in Iraq.

They were part of a demonstration against the 2nd Battalion Royal Anglian Regiment, who were marching through Luton after returning from Iraq.

The protest sparked a hostile stand-off with angry members of the public who had been cheering the soldiers.

Yesterday at Luton Magistrates’ Court, five of the group were found guilty of using threatening, abusive, insulting words and behaviour likely to cause harassment, alarm and distress to others.

They were Sajjadar Choudhury, 31, Munin Abdul, 28, Jalal Ahmed, 21, Yousaf Bashir, 29, and Ziaur Rahman, 32, all from Luton. Two others were acquitted.

Although the offence carries a maximum fine of £1,000, the five were merely given a conditional discharge for two years by District Judge Carolyn Mellanby, which means if they are found guilty of anything else this conviction will be taken into account.

The protesters had refused to stand for the judge as she entered and left court. But she yesterday said she did not wish to ‘set a precedent’ by charging them with contempt of court because of this.

After the trial Munin Abdul, who was found to have called the soldiers ‘terrorists and murderers’ and said they would ‘burn in hell’, said: ‘We won’t stop speaking the truth, even if they think they have made an example of us.

‘This case was political, and we have been made scapegoats to pacify the public. We knew we were being offered as sacrificial lambs. But I see our convictions as a reason for us to carry on in our calling.

Newt Gingrich … Crush the Left!

I know that of late many cons are a tad upset with Newt but gosh, he sure does know how to nail down a subject and inspire a crowd.
And who among us would disagree with his thoughts on the 9th cir.court?

Some of you might have seen this, but perhaps many more (like me?) are seeing and hearing this for the first time. And it’s worth it.

H/T Jim Miller

Here’s one of the comments left at YT.  Seems a few ppl are feeling the same but I haven’t kept very well up to date on the topic of Newt.

I have not had much problem with his knowledge, only his loyalties. He always says the right thing. He seldom does the right thing. Much like Obama’s speech last week sounded like Reagan, he has no intention of doing anything to move us away from the grip of the globalists who are in control and destroying our liberties.

Unexpected Part Two of, It’s a cool idea to have Loony Tunes themes handy while reading. BIZARRE!

Some few weeks ago I posted another one of those really dumb things that the Brits, in their left wing rush to destroy what’s left of this place, have done.
At the time, I said that things keep getting more bizarre and more stupid and I found that my use of the term, “Things just can’t get any stupider then this” no longer had any meaning.  That’s because things do indeed keep getting more bizarre, more politically correct, dumber and stupid without cause or reason.  If Gorbal Warming is their new guiding light, then political correctness is their bible with all it’s (pc) ramifications and rules about insults accidental or intended.

So I will not ask, can things get dumber or more bizarre with regard to this article because they most assuredly can and no doubt they will.  Until then, I offer you this which isn’t the friendliest thing I can think of doing.  It certainly does raise the old RCOB though. Doesn’t it?

Businessman is arrested in front of wife and son ... for ‘anti-gypsy email that he didn’t even write.

By James Millbank
Last updated at 10:04 AM on 10th January 2010

Paul Osmond who made a comment about a gipsy planning application

A wealthy businessman was arrested at home in front of his wife and young son over an email which council officials deemed ‘offensive’ to gipsies – but which he had not even written.

The email, concerning a planning appeal by a gipsy, included the phrase: ‘It’s the ‘do as you likey’ attitude that I am against.’

Council staff believed the email was offensive because ‘likey’ rhymes with the derogatory term ‘pikey’.

The 45-year-old IT boss was held in a police cell for four hours until it was established he had nothing to do with the email, which had been sent by one of his then workers, Paul Osmond.

But police had taken his DNA and later confirmed they would be holding it indefinitely.

The businessman, who has asked not to be named, was also fingerprinted in the police investigation estimated to have cost taxpayers up to £12,000.

He said two uniformed officers came to his house on a Sunday afternoon and said he would be handcuffed if he did not accompany them to the police station.

His computer and other internet equipment were also seized.

The email, from a computer at his company, was sent last August to a website at Rother District Council, in East Sussex, on which the public can comment on planning applications.

It referred to an appeal by gipsy Linda Smith, who wants to keep a mobile home in an area of outstanding beauty overlooking the Battle of Hastings site.

The email also read: ‘Get a job, get planning permission but more to the point get out of the neighbourhood.’

The businessman, a father of two, said last night: ‘I had a sense of total disbelief. My wife and I decided to tell my 11-year-old son I had to go with the police because I had witnessed a road accident.

‘Even though the officers were fairly pleasant to me, I was informed I would be handcuffed if I didn’t go voluntarily. They then confiscated my computer and my wife’s computer and took them to the police station.

‘I was extremely angry. I was relaxing in the comfort of my home on a Sunday afternoon and then I was in a police car under arrest – all for an innocent comment by a colleague.’

He was driven five miles to Hastings police station.

He said: ‘I have never had any criminal record and try my best to teach my children right from wrong. This was a ridiculously heavy-handed police reaction to what they perceived as a racist comment. I am not the least bit racist and neither is Paul Osmond. The gipsy family concerned did not complain.

‘I did nothing wrong yet ended up in a police cell for four hours with my DNA stored on a criminal database.’

The arrest happened on November 15 and followed a three-year battle by a gipsy family to win planning permission for the mobile home on land outside the town of Battle.

The family bought a field from a farmer, put down a concrete base, and installed the mobile home at the end of a short driveway. Rother Council issued an enforcement notice against the building.

The businessman said he also objected to the council over the location of the mobile home, which is near his property.

He said: ‘It seems I have to get planning permission for everything I do right down to dead-heading the daffodils.

‘It seems they can erect this home with impunity. But I made my objections entirely through the proper channels and I have absolutely nothing against anyone in the gipsy community.’

The case finally ended last week when Mr Osmond, who had been arrested and bailed, was told there would be no further police action. The planning case is continuing.

image

Mr Osmond, 39, of Icklesham, said: ‘I made it clear to them I am absolutely not racist. I said I was simply registering my objection to this application because it is 200ft from the most important and historical battlefield in the country.

‘I now feel I am not even able to express an opinion for fear of being arrested by the police.

‘One of my closest friends is an Irish traveller and he uses the term ‘pikey’ all the time. This is the ultimate in political correctness going off the scale.’

Sussex Police said they had arrested the businessman over ‘suspicion of committing a racial or religious-aggravated offence’.

After consultation with the Crown Prosecution Service, it was decided to take no further action against Mr Osmond.

Chief Inspector Heather Keating said: ‘Sussex Police have a legal duty to promote community cohesion and tackle unlawful discrimination.

‘We are satisfied we acted appropriately in identifying the owner of the computer used and through this, the identity of the writer of the offending line.’

Police said they would hold the innocent men’s DNA indefinitely, which they said was in line with national policy.

A council spokesman said: ‘As far as we were concerned it was an offensive comment, so we got in touch with the police.’

SOURCE AND PHOTOS

I have been here over five years now and have never heard the term, ‘pikey.’ I have no idea what it means.  Lyndon?  Chris E.?

I hate the idea that people also have to “strongly express” the idea that they are NOT RACIST?  Like they must prove something on the mere chance that someone in authority will accuse them of heresy and sentence them to the stake for burning.  The whole idea and workings of PC and use of the ‘R’ word is nothing short of a 21st century inquisition.
