The moment two teenage girls were shot at close range, killing one, as they lay injured on the ground after stabbing a Palestinian pensioner with a pair of scissors.

The 30-second clip shows the girls, said to be cousins, aged just 14 and 16, being confronted in the street after they injured the 70-year-old, stabbing him in the back with the scissors.

The girls, still wielding the scissors, are both shot and fall to the ground - only for the armed Israelis to walk over and shoot them both again.

The elder of the girls, named as Hadeel Wajih Awad, was killed - dying two years after her older brother, who was also shot by Israelis, according to the Middle East Eye.

Nurhan Awad is reported to be seriously injured.

The cousins had apparently mistaken for the man for an Israeli, the latest in a string of attacks by Palestinians on Israelis.

The elderly gentleman suffered wounds to his head and back, while a 27-year-old bystander was lightly wounded, apparently from bullet shrapnel. 

A witness, Akram Ezyy, said the attackers looked like were ‘about 12.’ He said they were chasing after two old women with scissors when they were shot.

Police spokeswoman Luba Samri said in a statement the police officer ordered the girls to halt their attack, and shot them when they came toward him.

Scots activist held, strip-searched and deported by Israel

A SCOTTISH activist who travelled to Israel on a parliamentary fact-finding mission has been banned from the country for 10 years over his campaign for Palestinian rights.

Convener of the SNP Friends of Palestine group formed earlier this year, Andy Murray arrived at Ben Gurion airport in Tel Aviv on Monday.

He was detained at passport control, interrogated, strip-searched and swabbed for explosives before being taken to a cell and later deported back to the UK.

Murray, a full-time dad from Glasgow, says Israeli security services expected his arrival and held a file on him, questioning him about friends and family and accusing him of being an “enemy of Israel”.

A full time dad?  Almost missed that on first read.  Ah huh. So then ,,,, he’s unemployed? Maybe on benefits too?
Just asking is all cos it’s curious. So where’s he get the time for all this activism what with kiddies and him being full time.

Now back in Scotland, he told The National he was denied information and access to help from the British Embassy and told: “You have no rights in this country.”

The 44-year-old said: “I felt like the dirt on someone’s shoe. I have never felt that way in my life.

“I feel awful for thinking it, but at the time I just thought thank god they are not treating me like a Palestinian. I don’t know if I could have handled it.”

Murray was part of a group set to visit Palestine as part of a fact-finding trip and has declined to identify other individuals or the non-governmental organisation involved to protect their identities.

Detained on Monday, he was deported to Luton before having to pay for coach travel back to social worker wife Tracey, eight-year-old son Michael and daughter Grace, four.

He said: “I wasn’t emotional until I saw my two kids and realised how much I had missed them.

“Being friends with Palestine doesn’t mean we are an enemy of Israel – far from it. It’s just that Palestine needs all the friends it can get.”

Murray believes his detention was sparked by a meeting at the SNP conference when “someone from the Israeli Embassy” took his business card.

He said: “I made it as far as passport control. They expected me.

“From what I can gather, they had a file on me. I was interrogated very deeply and very personally. They were asking about people I know.

“They had a picture of me taken at a demo in Glasgow last week and a picture of me at SNP conference.

“They mocked the SNP, compared us to the Palestinians, mocked the fact that we lost the referendum, saying ‘what you going to do, rise up and fight the occupiers?’ It was just unbelievable.”

Oh dear, oh dear me. They “mocked” you dear Andy?  Well. Of all the nerve. Why ... you’d think those damn Jews were in their own country.
Hey wait.  They are.  But still ... they also mocked the SNP too?

Find yourself a good Jewish lawyer and cry on his shoulder and then sue the state of Israel.  HA! Now that’s a gas.

Murray claims he and his clothing and belongings were swabbed for explosives residue twice and that Israeli authorities broke into his locked mobile phone and laptop.

He said officers “sneered” at him and made comments in Hebrew, adding: “I don’t know if I was ever arrested. They had not told me what was happening. They gave me no information.

“When I asked for the embassy, it was a case of ‘look out the window, do you see Big Ben? You are not in Britain now’.

“At that point I realised what I was up against.”

Murray was initially set to be deported on Friday and credits his early release to an intervention by Carol Monaghan MP, who contacted British Embassy staff after Murray got a message to his wife.

He said: “This has redoubled my commitment and my determination to fight for a just settlement for Palestine. It’s solidified every fibre in me that we must be doing something right.

“I’m going to wear my ban as a badge of honour.”

The Israeli Embassy did not respond to a request for comment yesterday.

However, Monaghan said: “This incident raises grave concerns about the relationship between the UK and Israel.

“It seems incredible that a country with which the UK enjoys good relations should treat a UK citizen in such a way. There were no reasonable grounds for his detention and eventual deportation.

Jews in Israel will do that you know. They’re known to speak Hebrew from time to time. So he wasn’t lying in saying they were speaking Hebrew.
The nerve of them. 
Now think about it.  If Israel wants to make more friends ....  They should give up all that expensive security stuff, and greet visitors with flowers instead of guns, just assume everybody loves them and treat all ppl that way.
They may end up with a reduction in the Jewish population, but those left standing might have all sorts of good friends.

Sometimes I can taste her

New Yorkers are used to aggressive advertising. Banners for breast implants. Billboards for condoms. But a federal judge’s ruling has opened the door for far more controversial posters on buses and subways across the city.

“Killing Jews is Worship that draws us close to Allah,” reads one such ad next to the image of a young man in a checkered headscarf. “That’s His Jihad. What’s yours?”

The poster is at the center of heated legal debate over public safety and free speech. On Tuesday, U.S. District Judge John Koeltl ruled that New York’s Metropolitan Transportation Authority (MTA) cannot stop the controversial ad from running on scores of subway cars and buses.

The MTA has argued that the ad could incite violence against Jews, but Koeltl rejected that idea.

MTA officials “underestimate the tolerant quality of New Yorkers and overestimate the potential impact of these fleeting advertisements,” he ruled. “Moreover, there is no evidence that seeing one of these advertisements on the back of a bus would be sufficient to trigger a violent reaction. Therefore, these ads — offensive as they may be — are still entitled to First Amendment protection.”

In your face much? Could they make a clearer statement about their beliefs and intentions if they tried?

No.

Except they didn’t make this statement. Well, not in New York City and not in English. The quote is from some big-cheese mullah, and is a direct translation from Arabic of what he said on a Hamas sponsored TV show in Israel/Gaza.  It’s the kind of statement that people like him make all the time in that corner of the world. It’s the kind of statement that the vast majority of US media ignores. Nearly all of them. Such things do not exist! This breaks the “religion of peace” meme we must all swallow with a smile, therefore it can not be. It doesn’t exist if we never report it, so we make sure we never report it. ( If a tree falls in a forest, it makes no sound, because the MSM goes to great lengths to hide the fact that the forest is even there! )

As if you couldn’t tell, this is the work of Atlas Shrug’s “radical Zionist” Pamela Geller, and her group AFDI. The posters are a reality based push-back against the extremely soft “#myjihad” campaign being driven by CAIR, trying to water down the public’s perception of the concept. Granted, CAIR is not actually wrong; it is my understanding that “jihad” really can mean “personal striving” or “personal goal”, but what they portray is NOT the jihad being waged on the world theater.

A new ad campaign by the American Freedom Defense Initiative (AFDI) is being rolled out and being met with quite a bit of resistance. What’s the problem? Apparently it’s the exposure of what Islam means by the term “jihad” and the person behind it all is contributor to Freedom Outpost Pamela Geller, who is the founder of AFDI. The ads target the soft peddling of the now popular My Jihad ad campaign.

Geller’s new ads are a response to the #Myjihad ads that are sponsored by the Chicago branch of CAIR (Council on American Islamic Relations) which depict several presumed Muslims who are describing their “personal jihad.”

“The purpose of our campaign is to show the reality of Jihad, the root causes of terrorism. Using the exact quotes and text that they use,” Geller said.

Geller’s AFDI has already won two lawsuits under the First Amendment of the United States Constitution, including those which referenced Islamists as “savages” back in September 2012.

Each of the ads includes the tagline “That’s his Jihad. What’s yours?” Again, this is simply a response to CAIR’s ads which have similar tagline.

Four Times For Benji

In an effort to save Israel from the Left, huge voter turnout gives Benjamin Netanyahu an unprecedented fourth victory as Israel’s Prime Minister.

Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu’s impressive victory in Tuesday’s elections can be explained by going back to the early days of the state.

The Ashkenazi immigrants from Eastern Europe were seen as having an unfair advantage over their Sephardic counterparts from North Africa and the Middle East. The people who are called “the second Israel” have complained since then that the “elites” in the Israeli Left, the media and academia have discriminated against them.

The “second Israel” did not like the the way the media seemed to be deposing of Netanyahu and bringing to power the Left under the leadership of Zionist Union leaders Isaac Herzog and Tzipi Livni, who were raised not far from each other in North Tel Aviv and are both the children of former Knesset members.

The Zionist Union inadvertently played into Netanyahu’s hands with a campaign of “anyone but Bibi.”

Many who considered staying home, or voting for one of the Likud’s satellite parties, hurried to the polling stations to cast ballots for Likud. People who have not voted in years - or at least not for Likud - felt the need to save Israel from the Left, Iran and from a hostile international community.

On Monday, Shaviv revealed a poll that for the first time, less than 50 percent of the public thought Netanyahu would form the next government. Shaviv said at the time that if it gets closer to 40 percent the Likud will win the election.

In Netanyahu’s appeal to the “second Israel’ he succeeded, and because of that, he won a fourth term.

Well, most of this is lost on me. All I understand is that Obama hates him, so that’s more than enough reason to support the guy. Plus, I love the way he talks. And I think he’s one smart cookie with his head on straight.

Ok, I want to write more on this, but I’m having internet issues this morning. So publish now, update later.

Spring may be days away but don’t count on a thaw in the chilly relationship between Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the White House—which, even after election results showed Netanyahu’s party scoring a major victory, congratulated the Israeli people but ignored the winning candidate.

The election results point to another two years of confrontation between President Obama and his Israeli counterpart, who is poised to secure a third consecutive term as prime minister. While tensions have flared for years between the two leaders, the last several weeks have seen their relationship further fray.

In the run-up to the election, Netanyahu took a hardline stance on the two issues on which his government and the Obama administration are most intertwined—Iran nuclear talks and the seemingly far-off prospects for an agreement with the Palestinians.

Netanyahu pronounced earlier this week he would not allow the creation of a Palestinian state—something Obama supports and a key demand of the Palestinians for any peace agreement.

And Netanyahu infuriated the White House early this month when he delivered a speech to the U.S. Congress criticizing an emerging nuclear deal with Iran.

Obama is such a pouty little brat.

The Flying Robo-Jeep

70 years ago, the idea of a little flying vehicle that could get in and out of the most inhospitable areas was just science fiction. 60 years ago the “flying jeep” idea was tried, but ... ahem ... never got off the ground. Until about a decade ago, when the IDF realized it needed some kind of go-anywhere helicopter vehicle about the size of a pickup truck. Much R&D later, coupled with the latest advances in drones, and ta-da. Awesome. The future is now.

It’s a helicopter that mated with a hovercraft. It’s a swing wing ducted rotor lifting body aircraft with no wings and all the rotors inside. It’s an ambulance drone. It’s a small package delivery system that can drop off 1000lb of gear at a go. It hovers. It flies at 70mph 3 miles up in the sky. It’s for real. And a good chunk of it is already FAA approved.

Flying tactical robots also are taking off in new directions. Urban Aeronautics, an Israeli company, is developing a compact, unmanned single-engine vertical take-off and landing aircraft with internal rotors called the AirMule. The features mean it can fly into obstructed areas, such as jungles or urban environments, and land on steep hillsides without concerns about rotor obstruction. As military operations move away from open-desert battlefields to more congested locations, maneuverability will become increasingly important.

AirMule can evacuate two casualties or reconfigure for other payloads. The vehicle can carry loads of 1,000 pounds or more, making it unique in its field. “There’s nothing that’s the size of a Humvee and can take off vertically with a 1,000-pound load,” said Rafi Yoeli, president and chief executive officer of Urban Aeronautics.

Making these capabilities a practical reality has been a long road. Research on the concept began about 12 years ago. In December 2013, the first fully autonomous flight took place, and a full-fledged mission demonstration is slated for some time next year.

The AirMule ... is an unmanned flying car UAS designed by Rafi Yoeli and build by Tactical Robotics LTD., a subsidiary of Urban Aeronautics LTD. in Yavne, Israel. It will be used in search and rescue operations where it would be too dangerous or inaccessible for a helicopter, such as evacuating people from the upper stories of burning buildings, or delivering and extracting police and soldiers while very close to structures, narrow streets, and or through holes into confined spaces.

After the 2006 Lebanon War, the IDF realized that it needed a special vehicle that could fly unmanned behind enemy lines in order to rescue its wounded. While the helicopter is the best evacuation vehicle, it requires an area clear of trees or electricity columns in order to land without obstructing the rotor. Chances of it safely leaving a fire-heavy zone are small as it attracts all sorts of weapons fire. The advantages of a ducted fan propelled unmanned air vehicle are that it could offer the same capabilities as helicopters, but without the serious operating limitations. It could navigate in and out of creeks, city streets, next to big buildings, compact alleyways and refugee camp warrens, while the shielded rotor blades make the “Air Mule” tougher than a regular helicopter. Being unmanned, the “Air Mule” could enter situations too risky for regular helicopters. It could deliver supplies or cargo, evacuate up to two casualties from the battlefield and transferring them to a field deployed hospital for medical treatment. Some missions may require to be conducted up to hundreds of kilometers from forward operating bases (FOB) and medical care facilities with the only medical support available on scene being unit medics or fellow soldiers. The war reports have shown that moving an individual only a few hundred yards can take an hour or more.

As of 2012 and into 2014, according to NATO STO TR-HFM-184 report, the “Air Mule” remains the only available design that meets NATO and IDF requirement for an unmanned MEDEVAC and CASEVAC vehicle.

Urban Aeronautics Ltd. has patented its design as Fancraft. The Fancraft technologies are supported by 37 registered (granted) patents and 12 additional are in the process.

The AirMule is a compact, unmanned, single engine, vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL) aircraft capable of evacuating two casualties or lifting significant payloads into urban or mountainous terrain. It is part of a new family of internal rotor (ducted fan) aircraft known as Fancraft™.

Urban Aeronautics is the world leader in the design of VTOL utility aircraft. These aircraft are capable of operating safely in a vast, new and significant range of missions in confined areas. This is possible via the exclusive reliance on internally mounted lift rotors.

Urban Aeronautics has taken the lead in the development of the AirMule. Flying autonomously or controlled remotely without on-board crew, the AirMule can carry a useful load of 500 kilograms and fly under the radar to land within a minimal space of 40m2 without a runway. It is designed to meet stringent US Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) manned helicopter safety standards, fulfilling all airworthiness requirements for future implementation as a safe transporter of casualties from the disaster area.

Dr. Rafi Yoeli, president and chief executive officer of Urban Aeronautics, said: “Responsiveness, reliability and, above all, safety are the key requirements we have when selecting tools and components for our UAS craft. Green Hills Software has a proven track record of providing operating systems, middleware and development tools that meet these standards and so we had no hesitation in working with them.”

What’s more, the thing isn’t even very loud. Ducting the prop blades and keeping the fans internal and behind guidance vanes keeps the noise down to the 87dB range. All that fanwork also results in a minimized heat signature. The AirMule is naturally stealthy as a side effect. Plus it’s small, and made from carbon fiber, for an even lesser radar signature. Nifty. Stick a cockpit on them and they might make a great personal urban vehicle. Aside from the $2.5 million price tag.

Time for another Crusade?

“The Jewish state is the only safe place where the Christians of the Holy Land live in safety,” Fr. Gabriel Naddaf, a Greek Orthodox priest from Israel, told the United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) in September.

“The earth of the Middle East is soaked with the blood of Christians being killed daily,” Naddaf said in testimony released Wednesday by the non-governmental organization, UN Watch.

The priest pointed to the grim statistic that the Christian population of the Middle East has gone from 20 percent at the start of the 20th century to only around 4 percent today.

“If we look at the Middle East, Mr. President, we realize there’s only one safe place where Christians are not persecuted. One place where they are protected, enjoying freedom of worship and expression, living in peace and not subjected to killing and genocide,” Naddaf said.

“It is Israel, the country I live in. The Jewish state is the only safe place where the Christians of the Holy Land live in safety.”

“Do you know that over the past years some 100,000 Christians have been killed annually?” the priest asked UNHRC members in Geneva. “And why? Not for a crime they’ve committed, but only for believing in Christ.”

Naddaf talked about the dwindling number of Christians in Iraq and Syria, saying that “in Iraq alone, more than 77 percent of the Christians have fled during the year 2000, in addition to thousands killed and expelled.”

Although “some 2 million Christians lived in Syria, but today, they are less than 250,000,” he pointed out.

“Christians in the Middle East are marginalized; their rights denied, their property stolen, their honor violated, their men killed, and their children displaced,” the priest concluded.

“Where will they go? Who will defend them? And who will guard their property?” he asked.

The situation is just as dire in Sudan and other parts of central eastern Africa. Egypt is rife with wanton violence and murder against the Copts. And every single attack is done in the name of Allah. This is the real face of islam: murder.

I think the main thing I hate about this article, aside from the fact that Fisk hates America, is the ever constant use of the word Islamo in place of Islamic.
Make that lower case. islamo for islamic. 
I see it everywhere these days. islamo this and islamo that. Someone writing in a conservative paper even described it as islamo-fascist, instead of islamic fanatic.
But to Fisk here.

I am not about to defend O. on anything, but no matter who is head of state in the USA, that person for bad or not has to deal with the here and now and how to respond to the threat as he (or she?) sees it. So damning O. in this case with regard to his not fighting the genocide of Christians in 1915, seems like just another reason for Fisk to be critical of something, anything, American.

I’m not a fan of this guy, but every now and then I do read him.  He gets my dander up so usually I avoid the aggro by avoiding his column. 

Along with others of the bedwetting left, it’s all about the pals and their misfortune at the hand of those bloodthirsty Israelis.
I think the problem those critics have and it’s a serious one to them, is that the numbers aren’t right.  Now if it was 1500 or more Israelis killed in Hamas rocket attacks, and only 64 Hamas dead as a result, you wouldn’t be seeing those fat tears from ppl like Fisk and his ilk.

Then he (Fisk) brings up civilian deaths by American drone attacks in Afghanistan, like the USA plans it that way with the intention of killing innocents.

Speaking of bedwetters and falsely bleeding hearts, there were thousands of (for once peaceful) protesters in London last week, people with time cos they aren’t gainfully employed, out on the streets protesting against Israel and demanding that the UK stop shipping arms to them and calling for an end to the Israeli bombing of kiddies and old ladies and old men.  Like their protests are gonna solve anything.  Schmucks.

I didn’t write the following but I believe it is true.

If Hamas didn’t fire rockets at Israel, there would be no war.

If Israel didn’t defend itself, there would be no Israel.

Bombs away! US to the rescue – but only of certain minorities, not Muslims

Obama’s air strikes on Isis in northern Iraq are hypocritical, and a sense of déjà vu is understandable

He wouldn’t bomb Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi’s bloody caliphate when it was butchering the majority Shia Muslims of Iraq. But Barak Obama is riding to the rescue of the Christian refugees – and the Yazidis – because of “a potential act of genocide”. Bombs away. And thank heavens that the refugees in question are not Palestinian.
This hypocrisy almost takes the breath away, not least because the US President is still too frightened – in case he upsets the Turks – to use the “G” word about the 1915 Turkish genocide of a million and a half Armenian Christians, a mass slaughter on a scale which even Abu Bakr’s thugs have not yet attempted. We’ll have to wait another year to see how Obama wriggles out of the 100th anniversary commemorations of that particular Muslim massacre of Christians.

But for now, “America is coming to help” in Iraq with air strikes on “convoys” of Isis fighters. But isn’t that what the Americans staged against the Taliban in Afghanistan, often mistaking innocent wedding parties for Islamist “convoys”? Dropping food parcels to minority refugees in fear of their lives on the bare mountainsides of northern Iraq – also under way – is exactly the same operation US forces performed for the Kurds almost a quarter of a century ago; and in the end, they had to put American and British soldiers on the ground to create a “safe haven” for the Kurds.

Nor has Obama said anything about his friendly ally Saudi Arabia, whose Salafists are the inspiration and fund-raisers for the Sunni militias of Iraq and Syria, just as they were for the Taliban in Afghanistan. The wall between the Saudis and the monsters they create – and which America now bombs – must be kept as high as it must be invisible. That is the measure of American dissimulation in this latest act of duplicity. Obama is bombing the friends of his Saudi allies – and the enemies of the Assad regime in Syria, by the way – but won’t say so. And just for good measure, he believes that America must act in defence of its consulate in Erbil and embassy in Baghdad.

That’s the same excuse the US used when it fired its naval guns into the Chouf mountains of Lebanon 30 years ago: that Lebanon’s pro-Syrian warlords were endangering the US embassy in Beirut. That the Islamists are as unlikely to seize Irbil as they are to capture Baghdad is neither here nor there. Obama says he has a “mandate” to bomb from the Iraqi government of Nouri al-Maliki, the elected but dictatorial Shia who now runs Iraq as a broken and sectarian state. How we Westerners love “mandates”, ever since the 1919 Treaty of Versailles, which drew the borders of the Middle East for our “mandates” – the very frontiers which Abu Bakr’s caliphate has now sworn to destroy. There is not much doubt about the awfulness of the equally sectarian Isis which Abu Bakr is creating.

His threat to the Christians of Iraq – convert, pay tax or die – has now been turned against the Yazidis, the harmless and tiny sect whose Persian-Assyrian roots, Christian-Islamo rituals and forgiving God have doomed them as assuredly as the Christians. Ethnic Kurds, the poor old Yazidis believe that God, whose seven angels supposedly govern the Earth, pardoned Satan: so inevitably, this ancient people came to be regarded as devil-worshippers. Hence their 130,000 refugees – at least 40,000 of them living on mountain rocks in at least nine locations around Mount Sinjar – tell stories of rape, murder and child-killing at the hands of Abu Bakr’s men. Alas, they may all be true.

The Yazidis are probably descended from supporters of the second Umayyad Caliph, Yazid the First; his suppression of Hussein, the son of Ali – whose followers are now the Shia of the Middle East – might theoretically have commended the Yazidis to Abu Bakr’s Sunni Muslim army. But their mixed rituals and their denial of evil were never going to find favour with a group which – like Saudi Arabia and the Taliban – believes in “the suppression of vice and the propagation of virtue”. In the fault lines that lie across ancient Kurdistan, Armenia and what was Mesopotamia, history has dealt the Yazidis a bad hand.

But for them and the Nestorians and other Christian groups, Obama has gone to war. The French, their old Crusader spirits reawakened, called the Security Council to reflect upon this Christian pogrom. But the question remains: would America have done the same if the wretched minority refugees of northern Iraq had been Palestinians? Or will Obama’s latest bombing campaign merely provide a welcome distraction from the killing fields of Gaza?

Too Much News

I had to turn the TV news off. I just couldn’t watch it any longer. What a mess, and what biased, hole-filled reporting.

Fox Snooze ... I’m beginning to share the Left’s view on this network. They may be close to worthless. Too many talk shows, too many panel discussions, too many liberal newscasters.  I hit the OFF switch when Shepard Smith came on, and started having a total hissy fit over the situation in Iraq with ISIS, these Yazidi people, and the Kurdish Peshmerga. He’s “reporting” the news with such a thinly veiled “it serves them right” attitude it was unwatchable. Yes Schlep, ISIS is a bunch of savage mutant sub-human slime. And they are armed to the teeth with OUR STUFF. And they have become a genuine army because of it, and against a genuine army the Kurdish militia can not stand. And he’s right that ISIS got all the military supplies we gave to Iraq because their government troops dropped them and ran. And he’s right that those troops ran because they were poorly trained and lead, because PM al-Maliki was at heart a typically corrupt and self-centered Arab, who kept all those soldiers we spent billions training and equipping to himself, and didn’t disburse them to the nation’s forces or expand the overall training. But what Schlepard Smith ISN’T saying is that this didn’t happen primarily because our swishy swish president couldn’t/wouldn’t negotiate a treaty that would have kept several thousand US troops in Iran to keep that training going. No, he got his little nose out of joint, and left the playground entirely. “I brought all the troops home from Iraq” was Obama’s big claim to fame 2 years ago. A touch short-sighted, don’t you think? Especially since dozens of experienced voices were telling him at the time that exactly this situation would occur? The whole place is a nest of scorpions; you can’t honestly expect one or two of them to suddenly turn into noble eagles overnight just because it makes it easier for Obama to sleep at night believing so.

And now it’s all going to Hell. Worse and worse every day. These ISIS psycho terrorists are now in control of the biggest dam in Iraq. And it’s a crappy dam that needs constant repairing. By people who know what they’re doing. Let’s hope ISIS hasn’t killed them all already because they belong to the wrong flavor of the same dam faith.

Not that ISIS would hesitate to blow up the dam and drown half a million people. What do they care? They crave death. They jizz their jammies on mass murder. The latest news tells of them beheading hundreds of children. Children. Beheading. With videos! Because they aren’t converting to the “proper” religion fast enough? Or it’s just a typical African style of terrorist behavior. Because here in America, more than half of us STILL don’t know what depraved animals terrorists really are. Oh noes, they’re those romantic freedom fighters, building roads and day care centers. Assholes. 

So now tens of thousands of these Yazidi people will die. From starvation, exposure, and war crimes so heinous that the Nazis would have turned away in disgust.

And the US? Iraq’s staunchest ally, having spent 4,000 American lives and uncountable billions of dollars to wrest this backwards bunch of tribalist sand apes from primitivism and sectarian violence? YEAH RIGHT.

Well, now that it’s AUGUST, and ISIS has been on a killing frenzy since at least JANUARY, and has taken over at least a quarter of Iraq ... the US has sent in ONE JET and dropped TWO BOMBS on American artillery pieces in the hands of ISIS. Gee, that’ll solve everything. Oh, and we’ve also somehow managed to get a couple of helicopters full of water and food to the latest thousands of these refugees. But until a hour or so ago, officials in Washington were denying even this.

Meanwhile, the “conservative” American TV network has their leading anchor delivering a tirade and calling it news. Yes Sheppy, it’s darn frustrating. It sure does suck when American wins a war, sets up a false peace, and then goes home and slams the door, BEFORE killing all the enemies Over There, doesn’t it? Kind of reminds me of the Vietnam aftermath. After we won, after we had a treaty, after we went home, we lost the war. Huh??

No, I just couldn’t watch it any longer. False outrage to reinforce a delusion. Darn near any adult, or at least one not willfully wearing blinders during a deliberate recto-cranial inversion, could have called this more than 2 years ago. And they could have seen all this coming back in January. And realized that by March it was long past time to drop the pretense, stop playing golf and going to fundraisers, and make some action to support an ally. Whether asked for or not. But no. So at this point, it’s almost impossible for me to accept that the current situation isn’t exactly what our leaders want. WTH, they’ve done everything they could to make sure it happened. Because Obama had his widdle feewings hurt because he can’t negotiate for shit? Hell, we knew that years ago when he dropped the ball trying to get the friggin’ Olympics.

“We don’t understand evil”. Gosh, this wins the No Shit Award of the year I think.

You know things are bad when the US Army newpaper ponders ISIS’ unstoppability. Wow.
Is DC afraid of ISIS retribution? Why else would US denies air attack, aid drop. I mean, WTF, we’ve seen the video already. Get a grip people.

Oh, and the fighting is on again in Gaza. As you knew it would be. Cease fires? You’ve got to be kidding me. And, golly gee whiz, it looks like Hamas, with all their tunnels packed with bombs and anesthesia drugs, was only a couple weeks away from a gigantic genocidal attack, 20 times as big as our 9/11. On the little children in Israel. Well made, fully modern, high tech secret tunnels big enough to drive a truck through, pointed right at kindergartens and schools all over the West Bank. No doubts about it; a massive pogrom against Israeli children was planned. Kill them all Benji. Burn these fuckers down. Wipe their DNA off the map once and for all. Bulldoze Gaza into the sea and drown them all like the plague infected rats that they are.

A 44% Solution

To protect itself from Hamas rockets and tunnels, Israel is forcing tens of thousands of people out of their homes, turning their old neighborhoods into a no-man’s land.

BEIT HANOUN, Gaza — This narrow strip of land that used to be called “the Gaza Strip,” already one of the more densely populated places on Earth, is growing dramatically smaller. The Israeli military, relentlessly and methodically, is driving people out of the 3-kilometer (1.8 mile) buffer zone it says it needs to protect against Hamas rockets and tunnels. According to the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs, the buffer zone eats up about 44 percent of Gaza’s territory.

Expect the Joooo hating world to cry foul in ... 3 ... 2 ... 1 ...

“Scorched earth,” historically, means destroying land to deprive the encroaching enemy of its use. Israelis shy away from using the phrase to describe what they are doing because, in Israel, it brings to mind the strategy of the Nazi retreat from Russia at the end of the Second World War.

According to Hebrew University political scientist and longtime analyst of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, Yaron Ezrahi, with or without the phrase, the idea does have a certain logic. Ezrahi says there is a military and political calculation behind this devastation. Some in the Israeli government believe it will create enough Palestinian suffering so that Gazans will rise up against Hamas or force the leaders to come to terms with Israel when they come out of hiding.

But that is an assumption that greatly underestimates the resolve of Gazans to see an end to their seven years of Israeli blockade and rid themselves of the Israeli presence that controls the strip like guards positioned around a prison yard.

At the same time, said Ezrahi, the practice of systematically flattening neighborhoods is focused on saving the lives of Israeli soldiers, who might otherwise be more exposed to hit-and-run attacks.

“Israel is more sensitive than any other country in the West to the death of its soldiers,” said Ezrahi. “The death of [Palestinian] civilians is a moral crisis but is without political impact.”

Actually, the Israelis are just copying what the Egyptians started doing back in February, building a razed earth buffer zone. It’s just that theirs is several times wider, since Egypt isn’t under actual constant attack from Hamas in Gaza. And Egypt built their 1/2 km wide buffer zone by giving up their own land, something Israel has done time and time again. But not this time. This time, the land comes from Gaza.

It sounds like a good start to me, although it’s actually an enlargement of a plan started 6 years ago. Not that it will do much good, other than to give the IDF time and space to locate and destroy every attack tunnel they can. And when the attacks continue (or start up again, I’m guessing this could be about the end of this iteration of that never ending war), they can bulldoze another buffer zone 1.5 km wide. Which would leave the Gaza Strip just a little bit wider than the boardwalk at Atlantic City NJ. And that will, in my opinion, be a good second step in the three step program. Because these animals will never ever learn to live in peace.

Interesting tidbit goes unquestioned

The fighting started with Hamas weaker politically than it has been in a long time. In part, that’s because its main political and financial backers, the Muslim Brotherhood in Egypt and the Assad regime in Syria, are busy fighting for their own survival and are unable to provide assistance.

In its last conflict with Israel in 2012, Hamas, the Palestinian branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, had a close partner in Egypt, which was run by the main Brotherhood group. President Mohammed Morsi, a key Brotherhood leader, brokered the 2012 cease-fire that Kerry and other diplomats are trying to revive.

Today, Egypt, which controls Gaza’s southern border, is run by a military regime that deposed and jailed Morsi and outlawed the Brotherhood on charges that it tried to impose an Islamist dictatorship.

Egypt closed Hamas’ tunnels to the Sinai Peninsula to prevent munitions crossing into Egypt after a series of terrorist attacks against Egyptian soldiers and civilians that Egypt said it traced to Gaza. Hamas used those tunnels to smuggle goods and weapons into Gaza, and to fund its operations though smuggling fees. Egypt has also blocked the flow of cash from countries such as Qatar into Gaza.

Egypt, which has condemned Hamas during the current fighting, has proposed a cease-fire on terms the militant group has rejected because it wants the Sinai closures lifted.

The closures have made it impossible for Hamas to pay its 40,000 government employees and produced “desperation and panic” in Hamas, “which is why it keeps fighting,” says Hussein Ibish, a senior fellow at the American Task Force on Palestine. “Hamas is trying to break out of this blockade in a whole new way because the blockade is different. They’re broke and unable to move.”

The Gaza Strip is less than 7 miles wide at it’s widest point along the southern border with Egypt. For half its length it’s only 3 miles wide. And it’s only 32 miles long. Most counties in the USA are far bigger than this place. Heck, I’d bet there are privately owned farms or ranches bigger than this place. 139 square miles, according to Wiki, who supplied the above map. That’s less than half of the land area of the Five Boroughs that together make up New York City. Crivens, it’s hardly bigger than Queens.

Yet it has 40,000 government employees. FORTY THOUSAND. That’s one government person every 103 yards.

Am I the only one who think that smells a bit?
