Conservative Summit in Denver, Colorado

The following is pretty long as you might expect. So I’ve cut it down and you can read all of it at the link as usual.

This comes from what’s left of The Conservative voice in Europe.

H/T The Brussels Journal

It’s very much worth reading and of course a lot has been said already on the topic.  I wish there were a way to rid ourselves by any means, of the enablers, the liberal left hand wringers who have brought us to this pass.  But then, I can’t think of many people, even conservatives, who’d approve my solution.
Because it would be a very final one. And frankly, I see no other way. If there is one, hey. I’m open to learning new things.

Islam And The Need For Western Vigilance

By Geert Wilders

A few hours ago, Geert Wilders spoke at the Western Conservative Summit in Denver, Colorado. What follows is the complete transcript of his speech.

Thank you, dear friends, ladies and gentlemen, for inviting me to the Western Conservative Summit. It is always a pleasure to come to America. I was here a few weeks ago to meet with my dear friend, congresswoman Michele Bachmann, to talk about Islam and the threat to America and Europe.

It is also a pleasure to be in Denver, the gateway to the West. This is America’s conservative heartland where the spirit of the pioneers still lives.

I know that I come at a sad moment. Many of you have been affected by the enormous wildfires raging not far from here. Thousands have been evacuated and some of them are even staying in this hotel. Few things are as terrible as losing your homes. I want to express my deepest sympathy with all the people affected by this disaster. And I want to offer my condolences to the families of those who lost their lives in the fires.

I am impressed by the solidarity and the help which the people of Denver extend to the victims. You live in a great and generous city. Denver is also privileged to be the home of Colorado Christian University and the Centennial Institute with its motto “Faith, family and freedom”. Your motto shows that you have your priorities right. Faith, family and freedom are the pillars of our Judeo-Christian civilization and need to be defended.

I feel honored to have been invited to address you today about the situation in Europe and in particular in my own country, the Netherlands. This situation serves as a warning to what might happen in America if you fail to be vigilant. As U.S. President Andrew Jackson said: “Remember, my fellow citizens, that eternal vigilance is the price of liberty, and that you must pay the price if you wish to secure the blessing.”

But first, let me start by introducing myself. I am one of the 150 members of the House of Representatives in the Netherlands, a small country of almost 17 million people in Western Europe. I am the leader of the Party for Freedom. My party is the third largest of eleven parties represented in the Dutch parliament.

Perhaps many of you think that life for this politician in the Netherlands resembles the life of the members of your own Congress. Unfortunately, that is not the case. For the past eight years I have been living under 24 hour police protection. Wherever I go, plainclothes policemen go with me. I live in a government safe house, heavily protected and bulletproof.

I am driven every day from the safe house to the Dutch parliament in armored police cars with flashing blue lights.

I have not walked the streets on my own in the past eight years. When I occasionally go to a restaurant or a movie theater, the police will have to check everything first. My wife and I have lived in army barracks and prisons cells just to be safe from assassins.

Why do I need this protection? I am not a president or a king; I am a mere parliamentarian.

I have, however, been marked for death for criticizing Islam. I was placed under police protection in early November 2004 when an Islamic fanatic murdered th Dutch filmmaker Theo van Gogh because he had criticized Islam. Van Gogh was slaughtered in broad daylight in the streets of Amsterdam. A few hours later, the police found a letter written by the assassin threatening to kill me as well.

What have I done, you might ask, to deserve those death threats? I have candidly expressed my views about Islam.

My views, in a nutshell, are that Islam, rather than a religion, is predominantly a totalitarian ideology striving for world dominance. I believe that Islam and freedom are incompatible.

Some people do not want to hear this message. That is why they threaten to murder everyone who states this truth.

I do not want Europe nor America to become Islamic.

There is only one Islam and it is a dangerous ideology. It is intolerant, it is violent. It should not be tolerated, but should be contained.

In Europe, we are experiencing that if Islam becomes stronger in a society – even when the majority of Muslims are moderates – a society becomes less free and more intolerant of non- Muslims.

Former congressman Tom Tancredo, a native and inhabitant of this great city, whom I visited in his office in Washington in late 2008, once said referring to Miami: I quote “Look at what has happened to Miami. It has become a Third World country. You would never know you’re in the United States of America. You would certainly say you’re in a Third World country.” – end of quote.

The same applies to Europe: Certain parts of our inner cities no longer look like Europe. They look like suburbs of Cairo, Rabat, Algiers, Damascus or Mecca.

As the Muslim population is concentrated in urban areas, many European cities have very large Islamic concentrations. We are confronted with headscarves and burkas, polygamy, female genital mutilation, honor-killings.

During the past three decades, Europe made a fatal mistake. It allowed millions of people from Islamic countries to immigrate into Europe. So many people rooted in a culture entirely different from our own Judeo-Christian and humanist tradition have entered Europe that our heritage, our freedoms, our prosperity and our culture are in danger.

Perhaps, many Americans still believe that Europe is the place they know from a tourist trip or from their grandparents’ stories. This Europe is on the verge of disappearing.

“In each one of our cities” wrote the Italian author Oriana Fallaci shortly before her death in 2006, “there is a second city, a state within the state, a government within the government. A Muslim city, a city ruled by the Koran.” – End of quote.

Perhaps many Americans see immigration as something which is inherently good for a country, since it contributed so much to the United States. But while most of the former immigrants to the United States came from Europe, a continent with the same Judeo-Christian roots as America, Europe’s contemporary immigrants do not share our common roots. On the contrary, the islamization of our society is undermining our Western Judeo-Christian values.

europe is toast … and the left in america is leading us down the same road

I had no idea I would be making a post of a comment made here at BMEWS by our friend below.  I thought I was working on something else when I checked comments this morning.

It’s very interesting how we all differ in our expression on a subject we are all agreed on.
Anyway, NJY has really said it well and in fewer words then I often use.  Wish I had that knack but since I don’t, no worry.
I’ll borrow his.

Europe is screwed. It’s gonna be an Islamic paradise before the middle of the century.

That’s because the Europeans allowed it. Many believe they are being “multicultural” heroes. The rest haven’t the time or courage to oppose the tide.

The Europeans who opposed the Islamic culture were afraid of the naive idiots who pushed the Political Correct agenda.

America is going down the same road, albeit a little slower. Actually, I see the need to allow the legalization of the Mexican “illegals”. At least they’re not Muslim and will help dilute the raghead tsunami which is currently ghettoising many major U.S. Cities.

Just wait. It’s gonna get worse and I only hope the Muslims behead the Liberal, Socialist butt lickers first so I can watch and get some serious Schadenfreude before it’s my turn.

Past The Tipping Point And Down The Slippery Slope

The End of Japan: Not Enough Babies To Keep Race Alive

Declining population in Japan and the younger generation prefers playing video games and reading perv comic books over sex. Marriage? Children? Arigatōmasen! (no thanks)

Lack of babies could mean the extinction of the Japanese people

Japan has a problem, a lack of children, and it seems likely there will be even fewer in the future.

Japanese researchers have now warned of a doomsday scenario if it carries on this way with the last child to be born there in 3011 and the Japanese people potentially disappearing a few generations later.

Academics from the city of Sendai, which was hit hard by last year’s tsunami, calculate there are now 16.6 million children under the age of 14 now in Japan.

And they say that number is shrinking at a disturbing rate of one every 100 seconds.

So if you do the mathematics, as they did, then the country will have no children within a millennium.

Another study recently showed Japan’s population is expected to fall a third from its current 127.7 million over the next century.

Government projections show the birth rate will hit just 1.35 children per woman within 50 years, well below the replacement rate.

Hmm, I wonder if this always happens when the standard of living gets too high? Or perhaps it always happens when the State gets too powerful, beneficent or not. When life is too easy, do people just stop trying? Or perhaps when the definition of “the good life” is set too high, they sacrifice their future to attain it? One thing I can say about the Japanese is that they don’t suffer a moment of “yellow guilt”. They believe in their own racial superiority but good. But we’re talking Japan now, so it will be for some really strange reason the rest of the world can’t even fathom.

The question everybody asks is why is there a lack of children?

The answer seems to lie in several reasons.

One reason is the cost. Japan is an extremely expensive country and getting a child through college can wipe out a family’s finances.

But research shows it goes much deeper than that as the Japanese state does throw a lot of money at people with children.

Another argument is that there are more effeminate men now called “Herbivores” there who are either not interested in sex or women don’t find masculine enough.

Then some suggest many young Japanese people prefer “virtual” friends with a robot or on the internet, while others suggest their fascination with comics rather than relationships is the cause for a lack of babies.

A study was released earlier this year in which it showed Japan’s young people are shunning the idea of marriage and having children.

The National Institute of Population and Social Security Research study also showed one in four unmarried men and women in their 30s had never had sex, and most young women preferred being single.

It also showed over 60 percent of unmarried young men didn’t have a girlfriend, and nearly 50 percent of women of the same age weren’t dating.

If that wasn’t bad enough, young Japanese people are also, it seems, increasingly not interested in sex.

A survey by the Japan Family Planning Association found that 36 percent of males between 16 and 19 had “no interest” in sex.

Herbivores? Ouch. And half the youth don’t even want to get busy. How in hell can you be a teenage boy and have no interest in sex?? Good grief, IIRC that’s pretty much all teenagers think about. It’s in the genes to get her out of her jeans.

Another point that Steyn makes, one that’s pretty obvious when you think about it, is that the aging population is not helping. Too much health care? I can’t say, but with everyone living forever, there is no room opening up for the next generations, so they aren’t bothering to even have next generations. This is how a really large part of Europe is, and now it looks like Japan is in the same boat. Is it as if human beings subconsciously feel a population density pressure point, and don’t breed past that level? That would explain the Red State population growth here, at the expense of the Blue State coastal growth where populations are dozens of times denser. On the other hand, if such innate pressure sensitivity exists, it might be racially connected. China and India have insanely large populations, with more people per square mile than anywhere on earth, yet they continue to churn out the young. Ah, but the quality of life there isn’t all that great, nor is health care, nor is longevity. So those “switches” might override the density switch and keep them in “panic mode” breeding? I don’t know. Is there a sociologist/anthropologist in the house?

Japan’s population isn’t falling faster because people there are living longer.

Japan has a life expectancy of about 86 years for women and 79 for men at present, and the ages are expected to rise in the coming decades.

More than 20 percent of Japan’s people are aged 65 or over, one of the highest proportions of elderly in the world.

Japan’s graying population is a real problem for the country’s leaders as they need to ensure the dwindling numbers of workers can pay for all the care needed for the growing army of pensioners.

And the elderly have increasingly more economic clout with Japanese companies targeting them increasingly.

Like I said. And like Steyn said, maybe the real reason for the breeders not breeding is that they don’t want to raise children who are only going to be slaves to the geezer-state.

THE TIPPING POINT …. CONTINUED

Yesterday, under the heading THE TIPPING POINT, Drew posted an article on demographics relating to the USA and our future. (I’m using ‘future’ lightly) Some many years ago, Time or possibly Newsweek, forget which, ran a story titled ‘The Browning of America’.  Must have been some 25 yrs ago.

Well, last week there was a small blurb in our papers relating to the muslim population of the USA. It said that the muslim population in the USA has doubled.  It did not mention in what time frame, nor did it give their numbers.  Hey, one is two too many.

H/T Right Side News

And that brings me to this. The link below has all of the article.

MUSLIM VOTERS CHANGE EUROPE

Muslims cast the deciding voted that thrust Hollande into the Elysée Palace. He also pledged to change French electoral laws so that Muslim residents without French citizenship would be allowed to vote in municipal elections as of 2014, enabling the Socialist Party to tighten its grip on political power.
image

An analysis of the voting patterns that barrelled François Hollande to victory on May 6 as the first Socialist president of France since 1995 shows that this overthrow was due in large measure to Muslims, who voted for him in overwhelming numbers.

The French vote marks the first time that Muslims have determined the outcome of a presidential election in a major western European country; it is a preview of things to come.

As the politically active Muslim population in France continues to swell, and as most Muslims vote for Socialist and leftwing parties, conservative parties will find it increasingly difficult to win future elections in France.

According to a survey of 10,000 French voters conducted by the polling firm OpinionWay for the Paris-based newspaper Le Figaro, an extaordinary 93% of French Muslims voted for Hollande on May 6. By contrast, the poll shows that only 7% of French Muslims voted for the incumbent, Nicolas Sarkozy.

An estimated 2 million Muslims participated in the 2012 election, meaning that roughly 1.7 million Muslim votes went to Hollande rather than to Sarkozy. In the election as a whole, however, Hollande won over Sarkozy by only 1.1 million votes. This figure implies that Muslims cast the deciding votes that thrust Hollande into the Élysée Palace.

France, home to between five and six million Muslims, already has the largest Muslim population in the European Union, and those numbers are expected to increase exponentially in coming years. According to conservative estimates, the Muslim population is projected to exceed 10% of the overall French population within the next decade-and-a-half.

During the campaign, Hollande offered an amnesty to all of the estimated 400,000 illegal Muslim immigrants currently in France. He also pledged to change French electoral laws so that Muslim residents without French citizenship would be allowed to vote in municipal elections as of 2014. These measures, if implemented, would enable the Socialist Party tighten its grip on political power, both at the regional and national levels.

Muslims in France—and across Europe as a whole—tend to support the Socialists for a variety of demographic, socio-economic and ideological reasons.

Most Muslims in Europe live in lower-income households and experience higher levels of unemployment. As a result, Socialists and Muslims are locked into a politically advantageous power-dependence relationship, between the givers of social welfare benefits and the givers of votes. Not surprisingly, Socialists favor increased Muslim immigration, which in turn produces more voters for Socialist parties.

In the ideological sphere, Socialists and Muslims generally share a mutual antipathy for traditional Judeo-Christian values. Although many Muslims oppose the secular agenda of the Socialists, most Muslims wholeheartedly support Socialist multicultural dogma, which they are leveraging to promote the Islamization of Europe.

In foreign policymaking, Socialists and Muslims share a mutual disdain for the United States and Israel. Leftwing parties across Europe have turned anti-Zionism into a politically correct form of anti-Semitism. The increasingly hysterical anti-Israel rhetoric emanating from Socialist circles has contributed to a spike in anti-Semitic hate crimes across the continent; many of these crimes against Jews are being perpetrated by Muslims.

Europe’s mainland piracy attack will escalate conflict

This is a followup to the piracy post that was so well done by Drew yesterday.  I can’t match his droll comments so won’t do more then present what I found this morning for your consideration.

Short of nuking Somalia as suggested by friend LyndonB with whom I agree fully, I don’t suppose the curse of these despicable sub humans will be solved very soon.  Instead we’ll see the possible arrest of a few who will ask for asylum in the west, probably the UK, and immediately sign up for benefits which is likely they’ll get.  It doesn’t seem to occur to the .... “arresting” personal we see in photos, that dead pirates do not return to ply their trade again.  I noticed a photo for example, of a boat full of these lice with arms raised and confronted by armed naval personal.  I wanted to shout at the guys with guns, open fire. Kill em. Then dump them in the ocean. Who the hell would know? But of course, you just know there would be one John Kerry in the group who would carry the tale back to shore with wringing hands and bleeding heart, thus insuring the prosecution/persecution of the good guys who pulled their triggers.

So then, this caught my attention this early morning.

Europe’s mainland piracy attack will escalate conflict

The midnight attack by a single helicopter firing its machine gun into half-a-dozen Somali pirate skiffs is some distance from the “shock and awe” that usually heralds the start of most campaigns.

By Mike Pflanz, Nairobi and Thomas Harding

But as innocuous as it might seem, the first act of aggression by the EU led naval force is likely lead to a greater escalation in a conflict that has so far avoided bloodshed.

By attacking the pirates’ infrastructure the EU NAVFOR (naval force) has signalled that it will give some teeth to the announcement made in March to strike at Somali land targets.

The arrival of the new French amphibious assault ship Dixmude, complete with its Tiger attack helicopters, will increase the likelihood of intensified attacks against the logistics chain and infrastructure of the pirate business.

EU military planners, based at the British headquarters in Northwood, will also have a clear idea of the best targets and will be assembling their forces to put in some hard strikes against the pirates before they can fully react. That would be the aspiration at least, if the force is going to show it has some backbone.

But filling a few wooden skiffs with bullet holes is hardly likely to send the pirates scuttling to the hills and will make not much of a dent against the multi-million pound trade.

At best it might disrupt the trade forcing the pirates to bring their boats further inland making it harder to launch hijackings at sea.

The pirates are also expected to make their boats far harder to detect, possibly placing them closer to civilians increasing the likelihood of casualties.
But after years of successful trade the treasure chests are full of dollars making it likely that the next time the EU launches a strike against the pirate havens they will be met with an arsenal of anti-aircraft guns and missiles.

If an aircraft is taken down or large numbers of Somalis are killed, it will mark a significant escalation and further intervention into the wider Somali conflict.
With the end of the Afghanistan coming slowly into view, it is likely that more resources will be freed up to strike against a thorn in the side of the international economy.

The only way piracy will be cured is by addressing the problems in Somalia itself. That could well lead to weapons and tactics being used that are some distance in sophistication from a mild dousing by a door mounted machine gun.

source

the next time the EU launches a strike against the pirate havens they will be met with an arsenal of anti-aircraft guns and missiles.

Well I certainly hope so because that might be the one thing that gets the powers that be off their backside and go in and destroy the roaches nest once and for all.  That is the only way to handle this problem. Not with foreign aid and religious missionaries and donations to help the poor starving etc. Destroy them totally. That’s the only acceptable answer.  We can only hope that this recent little foray will indeed escalate things.  What’s the point of having modern military resources, not to mention the high cost of maintaining them, if they are not to be used?  The mere fact that the west has them does not deter piracy. That’s because they are assured that deadly force won’t be used against them. So they can afford to be bold. Make less affordable and you solve the problem.

Seems Familiar

Funny how some things in the world remind you of other things.

France just elected this guy Hollande. A Socialist. He ran with a campaign slogan of “Change”. It turns out that what got him elected was a nearly monolithic block of votes from one minority group in the population. 93% of the Muslim voters in France pulled the lever in his favor.

Scary how history seems to repeat itself. Makes me wonder if Abdullah Ackbar is going to be their new Ministre l’Justice? Or if the guy will surround himself with an unvetted, self-appointed cabinet of césars?

According to a survey of 10,000 voters conducted by Opinionway for Le Figaro (not online), 93 percent of French Muslims voted for Francois Hollande in the second round of the French election, La Vie reports.
...
“It is the mark of a true rejection of Nicolas Sarkozy” said Julien Goarant, research director at Opinionway. Sarkozy’s attempts to woo Far-right voters and question the role of Islam (especially Halal meat) in France also did not go unnoticed.

On the flip side, a poll for La Vie showed that 79 percent of practicing Catholics voted for Sarkozy, with Hollande cornering only 21 percent of their vote. But 70 percent of those considering themselves “without religion” went with Hollande, according to Le Figaro.

So the godless and the satanic put Hollande over the top. Hmm ... wonder what’s next for France? Doug Ross got a letter from le Resistance:

Hello to my American friends,

As you know, the Socialist François Hollande won the presidential elections in France, last Sunday.

It is a catastrophe for France.

Hollande was elected by the Muslims: a survey (of 10,000 Muslims) shows that 93% of the Muslims voted for him. As 2 million Muslims participated in this election, Hollande got 1,720,000 Muslim votes more than Sarkozy did: (0.93-0.07) x 2,000,000 = 1,720,000.

But at the end, in the whole population, he got only 1,139,316 votes more than Sarkozy.

So, without the Muslims’ votes, Sarkozy would have been re-elected. ... Criminality is already on the rise (1,700 cars were burnt in France for the first night). Muslims are screaming anti-French and anti-Jews watchwords in our streets. Veiled women, wearing the illegal burqa, are strolling in our streets.

And, as if this wasn’t enough, Hollande wants to give to all the foreigners the right to vote in our elections! France will face a very hard situation. We are heading for civil war in a few years.

That’s the last news from occupied France.

Maxime

And at the same time, some other folks aren’t going to stick around to see how bad it gets. Aliyah is the right of any Jewish person to emigrate to Israel.

Some 5,000 French Jews participated in an aliyah fair in Paris.

The fair, organized and run by the Jewish Agency, took place May 6, the same day as the French presidential elections where incumbent Nicolas Sarkozy, the candidate favored by the country’s Jews, was defeated.

“I cannot recall having seen such a massive number of people interested in aliyah since the days when lines of people stretched out of the Israeli Embassy in Moscow,” said Jewish Agency Chairman Natan Sharansky, who attended the fair. The annual event usually attracts about 2,000 visitors, according to the Jewish Agency.

The French Jewish community is the largest in Europe, with some 500,000 members, according to the Jewish Agency.

The fair comes on the heels of a March attack on a Jewish school in Toulouse in which four were killed: a rabbi and his two young sons and the daughter of the head of the school.

Where does that [Hollande’s victory] leave France? And, French Jews might add, where does that leave us, and where does that leave Israel? It is likely that a majority of the Jewish vote went to Sarkozy. Like most Israelis, most French Jews perceived him as a friendly figure with deep sympathies for Israel. Those who voted for him may now fear both the rise of Marine Le Pen - who intends to play a leading role in the opposition - on the far right, and the access to power of the Greens, who are nominally allied to Hollande and have radical anti-Israel views.

On the night of Hollande’s victory, TV broadcasts showed Arab-French youths displaying Palestinian, Algerian and Moroccan flags on Place de la Bastille, where his supporters had gathered to celebrate.

History may be repeating itself a bit. 2012 may not be another 2008. Pray that it is not another 1939.

we were shackling ourselves to a corpse.

Something tells me the news is going to be a bit more interesting in the coming months.

Here’s Daniel Hannan’s take on things and I believe he is correct.

We thought we were joining a growing and prosperous market all those years ago when we signed up to Europe. In fact, we were shackling ourselves to a corpse.

I’m never certain how much interest there is among our readers in the happenings on this side of the world. But as Drew pointed out recently, it’s a global world economy and so yeah, France counts.

Britain is shackled to the corpse of Europe

By Daniel Hannan

Europe’s economic problems are about to get a whole lot worse. For the past three years, governments have tried, however ineffectually, to tackle the debt crisis. Now, though, in country after country, voters are demanding precisely the high-tax and high-spend policies which caused the recession in the first place.

Yesterday’s elections in France and Greece were the first of what will surely be many advances by the populist Left. In both places, candidates were elbowing each other aside during the campaign to demand more intervention and an end to cuts.

The new French President is an unapologetic Socialist of the kind we haven’t known in this country since Michael Foot. François Hollande wants wealth taxes, stimulus spending and a massive expansion of the state payroll.

He understands that this might lead to dismay in the international markets, but he has an answer to that: he will create a French credit ratings agency which, unlike the American ones, will tell him what he wants to hear.

Hollande summarises his programme as ‘growth, not austerity’. Gosh. Who knew it was so easy? Why has no one thought of that before?

The truth, of course, is that France has already pushed tax-and-spend to its limits. The government accounts for an extraordinary 56 per cent of the economy, and the French budget was last in balance in 1974. If state expenditure really had a stimulus effect, France would be the wealthiest country in Europe.

Yet every one of the ten presidential candidates there demanded even greater state intervention. Nicolas Sarkozy promised to make France ‘stronger than the markets’. Three of the other contenders were Trotskyists and one was a Green.

The National Front’s Marine Le Pen, while retaining her father’s anti-immigration platform, offered an economic programme well to the Left of Sarko’s and Hollande’s.

Not a single candidate argued for smaller government, freer competition or greater international trade. All ten offered more of the medicine that had sickened the patient.

We thought we were joining a growing and prosperous market all those years ago when we signed up to Europe. In fact, we were shackling ourselves to a corpse.

The Thunder From Down Under

hey hey hey, goodbye

Labor Party Almost Eliminated In Queenslands Australia Election

[ Conservative ] New Labor Party Sweeps 75+ of 89 Seats

Independents take 4 seats, Labor holds on to only 6 or 7, 3-4 seats being recounted

Queensland Premier Anna Bligh resigns after losing at least 10 of her cabinet members. NLP’s Campbell Newman sweeps to victory.

The Liberal National Party’s Campbell Newman has won the key Brisbane seat of Ashgrove and will lead a government with a massive majority in the new Queensland Parliament.

Late on Saturday night, as counting continued, it appeared that the LNP will have 74 or 75 members in the 89-seat parliament, with Labor winning 11 seats or fewer.

A string of Bligh Government ministers have lost their seats in the electoral bloodbath, including Deputy Premier Andrew Fraser who had been regarded as a possible Labor leadership successor.

At 8.46pm, claiming victory, an emotional Mr Newman thanked “all Queenslanders” for “voting for change”. Then he acknowledged the people of Ashgrove.

“We will keep our promises and we will not let you down. You have spoken decisively and emphatically and delivered a strong government so we can deliver for you and get this great state back on track,” Mr Newman said, flanked by his family.
...
“We don’t underestimate the task ahead. It will be hard, it will be long, but we will get on with the job. The job starts tomorrow morning.”
...
Labor appeared to be reduced to a netball team of seven, a far cry from the cricket team most political commentators had predicted.

The LNP looked like inflicting a staggering 16 per cent swing against Labor. Ms Bligh had been in the fight of her political life in her own South Brisbane seat, with little-known LNP candidate Clem Grehan leading for most of the night. But Ms Bligh snuck ahead with about a quarter of the count remaining.

A smiling, surprisingly upbeat Ms Bligh said Queensland voters had made their choice clear.

“It’s absolutely clear tonight that Queenslanders have spoken with the strongest possible voice and they have voted for a change of government,” she said. “I congratulate the Liberal National Party on what has been a historic victory.”

QUEENSLANDERS have gone to the polls and driven the Labor Party from government in an historic and brutal Election Day. See how it unfolded right here.

10PM:  AND THAT’S A WRAP: March 24, 2012, will be remembered as the day the electorate delivered a decisive, devastating blow to an incumbent Labor government. We hope you have enjoyed our minute-by-minute coverage.

Queensland is Australia’s second largest and third most populous state, with about 4.6 million people, roughly 20% of the total population. This was a unicameral election, which means the whole darn government was up for grabs. The resultant sweep was only the 6th time since 1915 that Australians gave a sitting government the old heave-ho.

The Liberal National Party (LNP) is a political party in Queensland, Australia. It was formed on 26 July 2008 by the merger of the Queensland divisions of the centre-right Liberal and National parties.

The party is considered to be on the centre-right of Queensland politics. In Australia, the term Liberalism refers to centre-right economic liberalism, rather than centre-left social liberalism as in other English-speaking countries. Party ideology has therefore been referred to as liberalism, distinct from its meaning in other English-speaking countries, but also as conservatism, which features strongly in party ideology.

The party won government for the first time at the 2012 state election, winning 78 out of 89 seats for a substantial majority in the Legislative Assembly of Queensland.

As Queensland goes, so goes Australia? Perhaps so, we’ll have to wait and see. I can’t say that I even begin to slightly understand Australian politics, but this seems like a win for freedom and a big smack in the head for the nanny-staters. And I’m proud of the Aussies for keeping close to the classic definition of liberalism, versus the corrupted version here and in Europe where it is just another term for communism.

Labor’s Queensland election thrashing was so bad that if the state’s voters took similar aim in a federal poll, all the party’s Queensland MPs, including Deputy Prime Minister Wayne Swan, would lose their seats.

Labor heavyweights and federal MPs from the sunshine state say action is needed to ensure the weekend’s bloodbath is not mimicked at a federal election due next year.

Former premier Peter Beattie said the party was in crisis.
...
Ms Bligh said there was a message for Labor, generally.

“We simply can’t walk away from the fact that we’ve seen results similar to this in other states of Australia - it’s tough times for Labor,” she said.

There are fears for Mr Swan’s prospects at the federal election, with state electorates in his seat recording huge swings against Labor.

Statewide, there was a swing of about 16 per cent against Labor. If a move of that size occurred at a federal election, every Labor MP in Queensland would be ousted, including Mr Swan and former prime minister Kevin Rudd.

UPDATE: Labor Party may lose official status. Seriously, they are that far gone. I gather that in Australia, if you can’t make a good enough showing, you don’t even get office space and have to work from home.

For non-Australians, ... in 2007 all the States and the Federal Government were Labor. Currently Liberal (meaning conservative) governments have won NSW, WA, and Vic and now look like taking a landslide in Queensland. These are the four largest states. [out of 6]

… This would mean Labor falling short of official party status and relying on the incoming LNP government to grant it party offices, staff and resources. The Queensland Greens failed to win a seat and suffered a fall in support.

Greens given the boot, socialists on the verge of extinction ... guess that Carbon Tax thing wasn’t too popular after all.

Don’t Do It

“Diplomatic Breakthrough” With Norks

US to feed millions of gremlins in exchange for a promise to merely look at Il’s reactors. Suckers.

The United States announced a major diplomatic breakthrough with North Korea Wednesday.

Under an agreement reached in direct talks in Beijing last week, North Korea has agreed to allow the return of nuclear inspectors from the International Atomic Energy Agency, and has agreed to implement a moratorium on long-range missile tests, nuclear tests, and nuclear activities at Yongbyon, including uranium enrichment activities, the State Department said. In return, the United States will provide North Korea with a large food aid package.

Promise her anything. We’ve heard this one before, haven’t we? If it’s not half a year worth of free food, it’s a winter’s worth of heating oil. We go through this nonsense every year it seems.

Despite the stunning breakthrough, “the United States still has profound concerns regarding North Korean behavior across a wide range of areas,” Nuland’s statement cautioned, but added that “today’s announcement reflects important, if limited, progress in addressing some of these.”

In return, the United States will “move forward with our proposed package of 240,000 metric tons of nutritional assistance along with the intensive monitoring required for the delivery of such assistance,” she said.

“profound reservations”? No kidding. How about “Hey blob face, y’all can go starve and freeze for all we care. You want food? Hand over the missiles. Hand over the reactor rods, and we’ll come in and bust up your enrichment machines.” Because the last time they said they’d do that, they lied. And they broke the promise before that. And before that. And before that. Lie after lie after lie after “Oh, so solly prease, no inspectors allowed to rook at this prace.”

What, we should be concerned about the starving little NorK chiiiiildren? Send them a few shipping containers worth of condoms. It’s high time they had a Negative Population Growth curve in that hell hole.

But we could send them Arec Baldrin. Fuck yeah.

The Land of Tinfoil

I got caught up in one of Rodger’s stories yesterday, the one about the $6 trillion in “fake” bearer bonds being seized by the Italian police ...

Italian prosecutors say they have broken up an organised crime ring that was hiding trillions of dollars of fake US bonds.

The bonds, with a face value of $6tn, were found in three metal boxes in a warehouse in the Swiss city of Zurich.

Italian authorities have arrested eight people and are investigating them for fraud and other crimes.

Prosecutors are not sure what the gang was planning, but think they intended to sell the counterfeit bonds.

Investigators, based in Potenza in southern Italy, say the fraud posed “severe threats” to international financial security.

The notes, which were dated 1934, were found in three safety deposit boxes in Zurich after a year-long joint investigation by Swiss and Italian authorities known as “Operation Vulcanica”. Eight people have been arrested.
...
The eight people under arrest are accused of counterfeiting bonds, as well as credit card forgery and usury across several Italian regions, including Lombardy in the north of the country.

Prosecutors refused to say anything more. But the Italian news agency ANSA, citing unidentified investigative sources, said phone taps indicated that there had been some interest from the suspects in acquiring plutonium from unidentified Nigerians.

Six trillion dollars? Plutonium from Nigeria? Gold bearer bonds from 1934? Nor is this the only recent bond bust. $20 billion in similar bonds were recently captured in Milan, and another $134 billion was grabbed in 2009, another huge stash in 2007, ...

An unusual and intriguing part of the story is that the bonds seem to have been found in old metal boxes marked “Chicago Federal Reserve System” “Mother Box” “Treaty of Versailles”. Ain’t that the damnedest thing?

image

I wanted to know more, so after I followed his links I Googled up the story ... and instantly found as many pages claiming that these were real as I found news stories saying that they were false. I decided to look closer, took the first step, ... and fell down the rabbit hole into the magical world of tinfoil hat land.

Horry Clappo! The more I looked, the wilder it got. Could there be any truth here? Could this story be a peak into the hidden powers behind the thrones, some machination of the One World Order? And I kept digging and digging and reading until I thought my head was going to explode. Let’s see if I can sum it all up in a short paragraph or two. So suspend your disbelief, set your Gullibility Meter to 11, and clap your hands harder than you ever clapped for Tinkerbell to live, that you believe that our Secret Masters are real.

*******
There is far more gold in the world than The Powers That Be want you to know about. If you Google up that question, you get an answer that there is X million tons of the stuff, enough to make one solid brick about the size of a house. Wrong! Try 100 times that much, perhaps 1000. 100,000. (this is entirely possible, because no person or nation is willing to say “We’ve got this much, come look!") International trade has existed since caveman days. We know this is true; rare archaeological oddities have turned up many times that show it may even have been trans-Atlantic. The trade routes to the Far East have existed longer than recorded history. The Silk Road starts in China and Japan, but in far antiquity the western ends went to Imperial Rome, Pharaoh’s doorstep, and perhaps the Meso-American civilizations around the Gulf of Mexico. All those trade goods going west for thousands of years, but going east, the payment has always been gold. Just gold. Read your Bible. Read your history. There was a LOT of gold kicking around back then. Taels worth. Lakhs worth. Millions of Fingers worth; the stories are so old that the units of measurement are almost lost to history. And over time, vast hordes of it wound up in China, where it just sat, forever. Ok, some massive amounts accumulated in India too, and to this day unbelievable hordes come to light once in a great while, worth billions.

While Europe was involved in a state of perpetual war for 3 or 4 thousand years, while dynasties came and went in India with all the killing, looting, and burning, while the ahistoric civilizations in Africa rose and fell, nobody ever fully conquered China. Oh sure, the Mongols. The Horde. But while they may have won the wars, they didn’t take the spoils and leave. No, they settled in, and stayed in China. Along with all that gold.

Fast forward through history to the 1930s. A weakened China, steeped in its own civil war, is invaded by Imperial Japan. (if you include all the players, which is only fair, World War II started long before old Adolph visited Poland. Japan invaded China in 1931, and Italy invaded Ethiopia in 1935. The Spanish Civil War 1936-39 is seen as a training program for the Nazi war machine, but is otherwise separate from the later global conflict.) Ok, Japan is kicking Moo Shu Pork Butt in China, and it looks like they might win. Time to move the gold. Where to send it? Fort Knox. Or the Old Sun Life Building. Which they did. 3, 4, or 7 battleships full. Or destroyers full, depending on which version of the story you read. A bunch of big ships, full of gold. China, or at least the Koumintang Party which was nominally in charge, was our ally back then. Remember the Flying Tigers and the movie Sand Pebbles?

Nations moving their bullion to some other safe country isn’t conjecture. This was done in WWI, and done again in WWII. Heck, if you’re over 45 you probably read Snow Treasure as a kid where the children snuck the gold past the Nazis on sleds. Smuggling is older than time too.

So the USA, still fat with Europe’s bullion from WWI (thanks Peiper, I’m rereading The Lords of Finance again, and I’m at the point the Dawes Plan is going into effect.) starts getting gold sent to it for safekeeping from all corners of the globe, and part of that is a horde beyond description from China. The gold of the world, all in the USA. And what did China get for this, as proof of their deposit? Bonds. Really huge bonds, with denominations in the millions and billions. Gold bonds. Sealed in metal Treasury Department boxes, with an agreement that they wouldn’t be opened for 30-60 years. Boxes and bonds just like the ones that came to light in this news story. At the time China didn’t have much in the way of official government, being in another one of their warlord periods. Most of the gold was in private hands, so these bonds were issued to people, not to the nation. Those people, the very small group of massively wealthy Chinese, would later be known by the group name called the Dragon Family.

This “fake bonds” story is just the latest chapter in the “China’s Black Gold” legend, which has been floating around for some time now. Add to the gold sent to us the gold stolen from China by Imperial Japan, which the US seized at the end of the war. Now put in the twist that, under FDR - perhaps the dirtiest dealing politician that ever was - the USA had no intention of ever giving any of it back. That they played the Chinese and issued real bonds in real boxes, but made them both with deliberate errors so that they would be dismissed as fakes when anyone tried to redeem them a generation or two later on. And that’s exactly what we have here in this news story. We ripped off China for dozens of trillions, the real bonds were declared fraudulent in court a few years ago, and the Dragon Family has been trying to flog them anywhere in the world ever since.

The problem is that what Romney, Trump and other China trade policy critics miss is that the trade deficit is not a result of a poorly thought out U.S. trade policy. In fact the U.S. trade policy with China has been meticulously thought out. There is growing evidence that it is payback for the CIA’s decades long covert use of China’s “black gold” - gold that does not appear on any international gold registry. China’s “black gold” has been hidden for over six decades in order to fund a globally coordinated set of covert projects hidden from public view by the CIA and a consortium of national intelligence organizations and transnational corporations - a Global Manhattan Project.

Two very recent court cases and a June 2009 incident on the Italian/Swiss border involving high denomination 1934 Federal Reserve notes reveal a remarkable historical fact. During the Second World War era, vast quantities of Chinese gold reserves were either looted and hidden by the Japanese Imperial Army in the Philippines, or transferred by the Chinese Nationalist government to international safe havens.

The biggest beneficiary of this vast historical movement of “black” gold was the U.S. government which arranged for a significant portion of China’s “black” gold to be transferred into the US. Federal Reserve system, and Federal Reserve bonds and/or notes issued in return. The holders of these high denomination Federal Reserve bearer bonds/notes - often the descendents of Chinese/Asian royal families - could only redeem these bonds after lengthy periods of time, e.g., five decades. As a safeguard to ensure the “black gold” would not become publicly tradable, the Federal notes/bonds were printed with spelling errors and other abnormalities that would make them appear fraudulent. Attempts to redeem these bearer bonds have been unsuccessful.

This has led to court cases and financial incidents that have drawn media attention over the high denomination bonds in dispute and their validity. Most public media attention wrongly concludes that these bonds are fraudulent as outlined in a recent Bloomberg article focusing on bonds found in the Philippines.
Two recent court cases citing meticulous fact checking and documentation of these high denomination 1934 bonds, suggest otherwise.

To calculate the total amount of gold ‘leased’ by China’s nationalist government to the Federal Reserve we can use the 1938 historic figure for the price of gold which was $34.87 per troy oz. $124.5 billion converts into an approximate total of 3.6 billion troy oz or 110 thousand metric tons. Given that the world’s total gold reserves is officially only 165 thousand tons, this is a staggering amount of gold that was secretly leased from China’s nationalist government.

Using the current spot price of gold, nearly $1700 per troy oz, the value of Chinese gold in possession of the Federal Reserve has a price of six trillion dollars!

Six trillion dollars. The very same amount in the news story from Italy. The above quote is from a web page that was written before the bonds were seized. Spooky!!

Purposeful mistake: a 52 star American flag embossed

on one of the Mother Boxes from 1934. Proof it’s a fake!!

So where is all the gold? Nobody knows. Rumor is that the court case referred to above was decided in America’s favor September 10, 2001. And that the gold had been stored in massive vaults deep underneath World Trade Center Building 7. But when the workers dug down through all the rubble, those vaults were found to be empty.

Actually, somebody does now. The secret cabal that runs the world - bankers and evil Joooos of course, of which the United States is their wholly owned corporation (well, them and the British Empire) - control the courts so they knew ahead of time how the decision would come down, and what would happen - 9/11 - because of it, so they spirited the gold out ahead of time. I’m only touching the tip of the iceberg here. The full story is long and convoluted and I haven’t read it all. I’m sure the Knights Templar and the Illuminati of Bavaria come into it somewhere. Certainly the Rothschilds do, and JP Morgan, and the Nazis. Even Saddam Hussein has a part: do you remember how US soldiers found/captured trucks full of gold bars in Iraq in the early days of Gulf War 2? It happened; Google it. Whatever became of that gold? Whatever became of that mountain full of Nazi gold the US Army found at the end of WWII? It’s all connected, in a story that spans the globe and nearly all of human history. And all hidden from sight and actively denied. Just like the Bilderberg Group and their Nazi roots. Just like these bonds. Down the rabbit hole.

Into the land of tinfoil.

Of course it’s fake! Right??

some comments from other places to provoke thought and responses

ISLAMONAUSEA

Learn It, Know It, Use It

Received my usual newsletter relating to Europe and things affecting all who live here and as usual clicked on a link.
It had to do with yet another example of those lovers of free speech so long as it theirs (muzzies) while shouting down speakers at a public forum. So typical of them and their lefty liberal lap dogs.

So I clicked and as I say, just the usual and might not have bothered with it until I started reading some of the comments. Which I found to be interesting.

Brussels: University debate disturbed by Muslim fundamentalists

Islam in Europe 9 February 2012

Yesterday ULB university organized a debate between French journalist Caroline Fourest and Hervé Hasquin on the extreme right. The debate was heckled by niqab-wearing activists who shouted “Burqa, bla bla bla” and accused Fourest of Islamophobia.
The activists were mobilized by Souhail Chichah, an economics researcher and assistant at the university, who is known for his extremist views. The debate moderator, Guy Haarscher, urged him to come on stage to speak. According to Le Soir, Souhail Chichah had called for ‘Burqa pride” on social networks, which was dedicated to the ‘stoning of Caroline Fourest’.

http://islamineurope.blogspot.com/2012/02/brussels-university-debate-disturbed-by.html

There’s a video but it’s in a foreign language so unless you speak French ....  But you will hear the attempted disruption.  And lets face it, that isn’t even news anymore.  Never mind that they haven’t a coherent argument themselves.  Their reason for being is simply to impeded others from speaking.

But as mentioned, I was more interested in the comment section. Here’s a few examples.  Which btw covered another subject which had to do with muzzies and dogs.  I guess what I’m trying to show is that there is resistance to the plague of islam all over Europe.  It just isn’t well enough organized, and I have my doubts it ever will be because the right keeps attacking the wrong targets.

Here. See what you think.

Dude, here in Sweden the prime minister is suggesting raising the retirement age to 75, allowing those over 54 to qualify for ‘student loans’ (apparently they don’t as it stands) so they can LEARN A NEW TRADE. This is in a country that has a 25% consumer purchase tax on everything & brings retarded Somalians & asylum seeking Afghani’s by the THOUSANDS. And what do they do once they are here? WELL besides mass gang rape, murder, child molestation, drugs, robbery, assault & driving drunk without a license, NOTHING!! Except live on the dole, continue to rain kids down upon us & complain that their free sh*t isn’t good enough or big enough.

I just read one 23 yr old Afghan asylum seeker has already been jailed for assault 4 times (including against a cop) driving no license twice, drunk driving once, drug dealer of steroids, heroin, pills, threatened to kill a 15 yr old girl if she did not sell drugs for him AND was one of 12 men arrested for the gang rape of a 29 year old Swedish mother of 2 at the asylum housing center. They beat her very badly & she was raped by at least a dozen men, him being one. And he has not even been offered up for DEPORTATION! He will never work, and has never worked - he is violent and poses a threat to humanity here, yet WE support him !! Apparently Swedes will have to work until they DIE in their tracks to support a fat hog somalian woman with 10 kids that follow her in a row like ducklings each one 4 inches taller than the last. I saw this one lady, my god, her kids looked like clones of each other - fat cow buying 100 rolls of toilet paper at the store (even though muzzies always say they don’t use toilet paper) and 20 gallons of oil, while I can afford only 1 litre of cooking oil at a time for my family of 5. Because WE WORK.

Nobody can convince me this isn’t premeditated destruction of our cultures, our countries, and our way of life. By our own governments.

They cannot achieve what they desire until all countries and cultures are the same, and since they cannot raise the rest of the world up to our level, they will bring us down to the rest of the worlds.

Islamonausea, not Islamophobia

Our language needs a term that describes what many critically thinking people feel about Islam according to their own terms, not according to what Muslims wish us to feel or what the PC establishment diagnoses to scare us into allowing more voters for the Left into our countries. We need a term that simultaneously invites Muslims to realize what they need to change about their behavior and religion if they wish to advance from an embarrassing last place in the evolution of civilizations and to earn some real respect among the world community.

http://www.jihadwatch.org/2012/01/islamonausea-not-islamophobia.html

Islamonausea deserves its own article on Wikipedia. Help get Islamonausea into our dictionaries by using the word on blogs, in articles and in Letters to the Editor, and in everyday speech.

I kind of favor that. It does have a ring to it but might not be acceptable to the left here.  I’d bet it would become another word branded as, “hate speech.”

If the Dutch have to choose between keeping dogs in their country and keeping Moslems, I hope they have the sense to keep the dogs.

How many Dutch have been killed by dogs? How many by Moslems?
How many Dutch have been raped by dogs? How many by Moslems?
How many Dutch have been mugged by dogs? How many by Moslems?
How many arsons in the Netherlands have been set by dogs? How many by Moslems?
I think the answers are clear: the Moslems out-score the dogs by ratios of hundreds to one.
However here’s a question where the scores are probaby about equal:
How many Dutch have been bitten by dogs? How many by Moslems?

The Dutch should not have to be made to choose.
1) Muslims come to their new country
2) Muslims bring their culture...some are stupid, some are idiotic, most are repulsive. (from the hair cover to honor killings)
3) Its not the muslim that changes to suit OUR culkture and traditions,
4) The muslim DEMANDS WE change our culture and traditions to suit them.

5) ..and finally. We grow some balls to tell the muslims “either accept OUR culture and traditions, or get out of the country.

Yesterday a hellish day.
Went into town on errands overdue.  Wife fell when she tripped on a part of paving stone (sidewalk) that was not level. I guess the cold had lifted a small corner and it was her luck to catch it.  I only came on the scene after it happened as she’d gone to a market while I continued to the bank.
Nothing broken but banged up a bit.  Fell in an odd way and hit one side of her face but fortunately not full on. Landed on her left hand.  It being very, very cold, she had lots of layers of clothing.  I think they saved her from doing worse.
I don’t know how she managed to drive us home.  (I don’t drive here) So anyway, I’m playing caregiver but feel bad that I wasn’t right on the spot to catch her or help.  Had to cancel the monthly visit with friends for coffee morning. Just not up to it today.

Plow? Plough? Palau!

I get some neat notifications from some of the metrics tracking tools that run in the background on this blog. One came last week telling me that I had achieved the milestone of having had visitors from 54,500 different cities. I had another one back in September saying that I had had my first visitor from The United States Outlying Islands; I had to look that up to even know where it was.

Today I was informed that I’ve had my first visitor from Palau. Palau is the west-most island in the Carolines, a tiny dot in the western Pacific about 500 miles east of the Philippines and about that same distance north of western Papua New Guinea. It’s a small archipelago of islands, all alone in a great big empty ocean, at least 700 miles southwest of Guam. But don’t think the Palauians are backwards or primitive. There country is democratically run, divided into 16 tiny states, and they even have a shopping mall. Sounds like it might be a nice place for a remote tropical vacation, although tourism is on the rise after several seasons of the TV show Survivor were filmed there.

Welcome aboard folks!
