You May Be A Redneck If …

Your Child May Be A Terrorist If ...

France Alerts Parents To Junior Jihadi Warning Signs, Confuses Rest of World

And they mocked Boooosh when he said how the drug cartels were related to the terrorists. Which they are, of course. Now France has an easy-to-misunderstand warning poster ...

image

Let’s see ... this is Fwance after all; earthy, forthright, tactless, practical, and with a language no one can understand. So we have to guess at the meanings and hope some of the words seem familiar.  The document is real enough though.

Top to bottom, left to right

Your french child may be a terrorist if ...
•  They no longer let the girlfriend hold their penis in public.
•  They don’t want to be seen in public with their baby mamas and their love sprats.
•  They stop eating French bread. Alors! Call the gendarmes!!
•  They forget how to dunk. Really? Could french guys dunk before this? Who knew?
•  They leave their iPads at home and reject recorded music as empty noise devoid of meaning and nuance, preferring only live jazz performed by genuine black people.
•  Same thing goes for video games and television. With the exception of Jerry Lewis movies and episodes of East Enders, of course.
•  They forget how to swim. Let’s face it, swimming is one of the least necessary skills for terrorists in the desert. Ah ha!!
•  They stop wearing women’s dresses and begin clothing themselves like dead people? Damn, this French stuff is hard to read!!
•  They spend time online researching AR15 accessories, especially trying to understand “the front part that goes up”, and sit around the cafes by hours debating the proper way to pronounce “Picatinny Rail System”

Funny, there’s nothing here about burning cars, being “disaffected”, how to tie that pesky kaffeya scarf, ways to mistreat women, what the 3 stones are all about, which way is southeast, this year’s fashion tips for suicide vests, or even how to get the cous-cous just right. I’d call it a pretty half-hearted effort from a government afraid to face the truth.

Silence
Shoes and prayer mat
2008

To name what is not named,
to show what is not shown, to bind what is remote.
My work rests on this concept and operating mode
that proceeds by transgressing what remains forbidden and undisclosed.

Zoulikha Bouabdellah

The self-imposed starting point of Zoulikha Bouabdellah’s work is to see the world in a different way. In her Silence installation, the artist presents prayer mats whose circular shape cuts draw an ‘opening’ on the ground on which rest gilded court shoes. The Islamic religion forces people to remove their shoes before taking place on the carpet that delimits the space for prayer. However, Zoulikha Bouabdellah’s installation plays with limits in order to bring us to the edge of the sacred and the profane. Muslim women stand at the threshold of these two worlds – a threshold, which according to Mircea Eliade, also determines the distance between two modes of being.

Through a rather subversive work, the artist intends to lift the veil on a woman’s relation to Islam. Between respect of the religious tradition and fantasies of westernisation, she reveals her ability to invent for herself freedom spaces within a rigid framework. In this instance, Zoulikha Bouabdellah pays a tribute to the women who are not afraid to assert themselves in order to exist, beyond the silence surrounding the prayer or the question of the female condition in the Arab world.

I’m surprised she made cut-outs in the rugs. I would have put the shoes right on them, and used these sandals and other sexy western FMPs in various colors to really stress the conflict. This work is radical in her closed world, but in ours it is as if “Piss Christ” showed Jesus standing next to a porta-potty; the idea is there, but it’s rather timid. The hole in the rugs though, I like that. An opening, an opportunity. Perhaps an escape. Plus it still adheres to their rules, and brings in the whole vagina thing. Good for her.

‘Blasphemous’ artwork removed from Paris exhibition
Artwork showing women’s shoes on Muslim prayer mats is removed from exhibition after warnings of possible violence

An artwork depicting high-heeled shoes on Islamic prayer mats has been removed from an exhibition after a Muslim group warned of possible violence in the wake of the Paris attacks.

The French-Algerian artist, Zoulikha Bouabdellah, withdrew the work from an exhibition in a northern Paris suburb with a large Muslim population after an Islamic group told local authorities it could provoke “uncontrollable, irresponsible incidents”.

It is considered disrespectful to step on Muslim prayer maps with shoes.

Ms Bouabdellah has replaced the artwork, “Silence”, previously exhibited in Paris, New York, Berlin and Madrid, with a video installation showing belly-dancing to the French national anthem, with swirling red, white and blue shawls symbolising the national flag.

The decision sparked protests from other artists who complained that freedom of expression was being undermined only weeks after 12 people were killed when gunmen attacked the office of the satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo, which published cartoons of the Prophet Mohammed. Another four people were killed at a kosher supermarket, and a policewoman was shot dead near a Jewish school.

Ms Bouabdellah, 37, said on Wednesday that the “lack of understanding” of her work was probably related to “heightened emotions” after the attacks.

She makes excuses for them. Self-effacing. Her response should have been to fart in their general direction and to complain that their fathers smelled of elderberries. Or worse.

PS - and so much for the UK Telegraph, which ran this story but did NOT run a picture of the artwork. Cowards

Couldn’t Even Vote Present

“The Future Must Not Belong To Those Who Slander The Prophet Of Islam”
- Barack Hussein Obama at the UN, September 2012

image

Displaying powerful symbolic unity, in fitting and proper testament to the defense of civilization, more than 40 world leaders linked arms to lead the mass march in Paris in resolve against Islamist terror.

The United States of America, Barack Obama, President, was inexcusably absent from one of the most critical turning points in the war between radical Islam and the West since 9/11.

No Obama. No Joe Biden. No John Kerry from State. No Chuck Hagel or Ashton Carter from Defense. Not even Eric Holder from Justice, who happened to have been in Paris.

More than a million people surged through the boulevards of Paris behind dozens of world leaders walking arm-in-arm Sunday in a rally for unity described as the largest demonstration in French history. Millions more marched around the country and the world to repudiate three days of terror that killed 17 people and changed France.

Amid intense security and with throngs rivaling those that followed the liberation of Paris from the Nazis, the city became “the capital of the world” for a day, on a planet increasingly vulnerable to such cruelty.

More than 40 world leaders headed the somber procession — Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas; Ukrainian President Petro Poroshenko and Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov — setting aside their differences with a common rallying cry: We stand together against barbarity, and we are all Charlie.

At least 1.2 million to 1.6 million people streamed slowly through the streets behind them and across France to mourn the victims of deadly attacks on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, a kosher supermarket and police officers — violence that tore deep into the nation’s sense of security in a way some compared to Sept. 11 in the United States.

The three days of terror began Wednesday when brothers Said and Cherif Kouachi stormed the Charlie Hebdo newsroom, killing 12 people, including two police officers. Al-Qaida’s branch in Yemen said it directed the attack to avenge the honor of the Prophet Muhammad, a frequent target of the weekly’s barbs. Charlie Hebdo assailed Christianity, Judaism as well as officialdom of all stripes with its brand of sometimes crude satire.

On Thursday, police said Coulibaly killed a policewoman. The next day, he seized hostages at the kosher market while the Kouachi brothers were holed up at a printing plant near Charles de Gaulle airport. It ended at dusk Friday with raids that left all three gunmen dead. Four hostages at the market were also killed.

Five people held in connection with the attacks were freed late Saturday, leaving no one in custody, according to the Paris prosecutor’s office. Coulibaly’s widow, last seen near the Turkish-Syrian border, is still being sought.

France remains on high alert while investigators determine whether the attackers were part of a larger extremist network. More than 5,500 police and soldiers were deployed Sunday across France, guarding marches, synagogues, mosques, schools and other sites.

“The terrorists want two things: they want to scare us and they want to divide us,” Foreign Minister Laurent Fabius told TV channel iTele. “We must do the opposite: We must stand up and we must stay united.”

A Million Is Just A Start

One Million Rally In Paris

Foolishly, they let Abbas in too

image

Around a million people including more than 40 world leaders streamed into the heart of Paris on Sunday for a rally of national unity to honor the 17 victims of three days of terror.

The aftermath of the attacks remained raw, with video emerging of one of the gunmen killed during police raids pledging allegiance to the Islamic State group and detailing how the attacks were going to unfold. Also, a new shooting was linked to that gunman, Amedy Coulibaly, who was killed Friday along with the brothers behind a massacre at satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo in nearly simultaneous raids by security forces.

“Today, Paris is the capital of the world,” said French President Francois Hollande. “Our entire country will rise up toward something better.”

Israel Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas were among the leaders attending, as were top representatives of Russia and Ukraine. German Chancellor Angela Merkel and British Prime Minister David Cameron were alongside Hollande at the front of the crowd, estimated to be around one million people, Sky News reports.

U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder is in Paris this week to attend a meeting on fighting terrorism, but did not participate in the march.

Neither Obama nor Kerry attended either. As usual,  the 12th Imam  our pResident has nothing to say and doesn’t show up when anything critical about islam is said. That MFCSPOS is one of them, and you damn well know it.

The heads of England, Germany and Israel were there.

But President Barack Obama didn’t attend a unity march in Paris on Sunday, days after the deadly attack on the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo. Nor did his secretary of state, John Kerry, who has deep ties to France.

Holder: Not yet sure which group is behind Paris attack

Kerry was in India, attending an entrepreneurship summit with new Prime Minister Narendra Modi—with whom the United States is hoping to develop much closer trade ties.

Instead, the United States was represented by U.S. Ambassador to France Jane Hartley.

Attorney General Eric Holder was also in Paris, attending a security summit on combating terrorism. He recorded interviews that appeared on several U.S. news outlets Sunday, but was not spotted at the unity march.

“Attorney General Holder—a Cabinet level official—is representing the United States at the security meetings in Paris today. He is joined by the DHS Deputy Secretary [Alejandro] Mayorkas. The United States is represented at the march by Ambassador Hartley,” a senior Obama administration official said.

Oh what pure BS. If Holder was even in the country, he should have put in some face time. And Kerry, closer ties to India? Give it up! They already have 1/3 of all our jobs, how the hell much closer could they be? Today is too big for a mere Ambassador.

Southeast of Paris, in Saint-Etienne, around 60,000 people joined a march from the city’s rail station to its town hall.

Rallies were also planned in London, Madrid and New York—all attacked by Al Qaeda-linked extremists—as well as Cairo, Sydney, Stockholm, Tokyo and elsewhere.

“We are all Charlie, we are all police, we are all Jews of France,” Prime Minister Manuel Valls said Saturday, referring to the victims of the attacks that included employees at Charlie Hebdo, shoppers at a kosher grocery and three police officers.

Valls also declared Saturday that France was at war with radical Islam, according to the New York Times.

“It is a war against terrorism, against jihadism, against radical Islam, against everything that is aimed at breaking fraternity, freedom, solidarity,” he said at a speech in Évry, south of Paris.

Good. It’s a start. And I hope that there are 500 other rallies all over the country. And that the groundswell is taken up in Germany, and Poland, and Norway, and the UK, and on and on and on. It is too much to dream that every marcher picks up a large rock or a solid branch. No, not in today’s rallies. But the news is also screaming how all the jihad sleeper cells across Europe have been activated ... we could be on the cusp of something like a multi-national civil war. In which case we will see about real People Power. Finally.

More Terrorism In France

Hebdo Suspects Surrounded?

Second Attack Kills Two At Kosher Grocery Store, Hostages Taken

image

Last update today: Not without a cost. Several of the grocery store hostages killed (there were more than expected), at least one police officer wounded. Not clear whether hostage deaths were “friendly fire” or not.

It was initially hoped that all hostages in the shop had been saved - but it is now clear that a number died.

Others have been critically wounded, including a police officer.

Reports in the French media suggested that at least some of the hostages were killed before the raid.

female accomplice Hayat Boumeddiene whereabouts still unknown?

UPDATE: ALL 4 TERRORISTS SHOT DEAD. All hostages freed.

the latest suspects

Two intense standoffs with gunmen were underway in and around Paris early Friday afternoon—one involving the two brothers wanted in the Charlie Hebdo massacre and the other a hostage situation at a kosher grocery store near eastern Paris’ Porte de Vincennes.

It was not immediately known if the two situations were related, but both underscored France’s nightmare and anti-terrorism fight.

The hostage situation spurred police anti-terror units and the French internal security directorate, known as the DGSI, to race to the scene in eastern Paris, the city’s prosecutor’s office said. Hostages were taken after a shooting there or nearby.

CNN affiliate France 2 aired live video of police tactical teams getting into position at the scene of the standoff.

Meanwhile, law enforcement officers had also surrounded a building about 40 kilometers (25 miles) northeast in the town Dammartin-en-Goele.

Authorities have expressed a high degree of certainty that they have surrounded the Kouachi brothers—the suspects in Wednesday’s killing of 12 people at the offices of satirical magazine Charlie Hebdo—in Dammartin-en-Goele, which is northeast of Paris and a few miles from Charles de Gaulle Airport.

The Kouachi brothers have released a statement saying they want to die as martyrs. Ordinarily I’d say fine, let them. But I think that’s too good an end. Capture them, and let France set the clocks of justice back to 1247 or so. Time to get some “mid-evil” vengeance.

Two people were reportedly dead in a second Islamist hostage situation in Paris, 25 miles south of a printing plant where police had the suspects Wednesday’s massacre at a Paris satirical magazine holed up, authorities said.

The hostage take[rs] in the second case, at a kosher grocery store in eastern Paris, were identified by police as Amedy Coulibaly and Hayat Boumeddiene, a couple suspected in the murder Thursday of Paris Police Officer Clarissa Jean-Philippe as she attended to a routine traffic accident in the city. Authorities believe the case is related to Wednesday’s attack, which 12 people, including two cops, dead at the publication Charlie Hebdo, which has angered Muslim radicals by publishing images of Prophet Muhammed.
...
Meanwhile, two people were reportedly dead in connection with a separate hostage situation in a kosher grocery on the east side of Paris, where a gunman armed with AK-47s was believed to be holding as many as five hostages, including women and children.
...
French Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve said that 88,000 security forces have mobilized to find the brothers after the attack on the Charlie Hebdo offices on Wednesday.

On Thursday, U.S. government sources confirmed that Said Kouachi had traveled to Yemen in 2011 and had direct contact with an Al Qaeda training camp. The other brother, Cherif, had been convicted in France of terrorism charges in 2008 for trying to join up with fighters battling in Iraq. The sources also confirmed that both brothers were on a U.S. no-fly list.

Fox News was told the investigators have made it a priority to determine whether he had contact with Al Qaeda in Yemen’s leadership, including a bomb maker and a former Guantanamo Bay detainee.
...
Nine people, members of the brothers’ entourage, have been detained for questioning in several regions.
...
A third suspect, 18-year-old Mourad Hamyd, surrendered at a police station Wednesday evening after hearing his name linked to the attacks. His relationship to the Kouachi brothers was unclear.

Was Hamyd the driver? I don’t know. Details emerging over time, as usual.

Je Suis Charlie

France Rallies

Tens of Thousands Take To The Streets In Protest All Over France

Great, but will the great-grandchildren of Le Poilu fight, or just pout and then surrender?

image

As darkness fell across Europe, tens of thousands took to the streets to show their solidarity with those killed by gunmen at the offices of satirical French weekly Charlie Hebdo.

Many of the protesters, meeting in Paris, Madrid and Berlin, have adopted the slogan ‘Je Suis Charlie’ - I am Charlie - holding up banners and placards printed with the words. Others were seen carrying enlarged versions of the some of the newspaper’s anti-Islamist cartoons.

In London, hundreds of people filled Trafalgar Square at a silent vigil for those killed when masked gunmen stormed the newspaper’s headquarters. Many held pens, pencils and notebooks in the air to show their support for the journalists, cartoonists and police officers who lost their lives.

The gatherings were held as French President Francoise Hollande declared tomorrow a day of national mourning tomorrow in respect for the victims of this morning’s attack.

At the Place de la Republique, in central Paris, less than half a mile from the Charlie Hebdo offices, protesters stood shoulder to shoulder, proudly holding ‘Je Suis Charlie’ signs above their heads. Similar peaceful protests were held in the French cities of Rennes, Nice and Lyon.

In central London, the mood was sombre as a large crowd gathered in front of The National Gallery, to express a mute horror at the events in the French capital. Dozens of French people were among them, along with those of other nationalities who came to show they would not bow to terrorism.

And in a show of support for the European neighbours, Germans gathered outside the French embassies in Berlin and Madrid tonight - signs illuminated by candlelight.

The crowds were gathered in support of 12 people - including four of France’s most revered cartoonists - who were executed by masked attackers, brandishing Kalashnikovs, who burst into the Charlie Hebdo headquarters, opening fire on staff after seeking out journalists by name.

Witnesses said the suspected Al Qaeda gunmen were heard to shout ‘the Prophet has been avenged’ and ‘Allahu akbar!’ – Arabic for ‘God is great’ – as they stalked the building.

Tonight they will cry. And tomorrow?

French Police Have Identified The Three People Involved

French police have reportedly identified the people involved in the shooting at the headquarters of the satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo on Wednesday.

[ Breaking - Their names are Said Kouachi, Cherif Kouachi and Hamyd Mourad. See more here. Oh, and FUCK YOU Wolf Blitzer ]

The shooting left 12 people dead including several members of the magazine’s staff. Two gunmen and their driver remain at large.

According to Metro, by Wednesday evening local time French law enforcement was aware of the names and birthdates of the alleged perpetrators. Metro reported one of the suspects is 34 years old, another is 32 years old, and the third is 18 years old.

The two older men are reportedly brothers, French citizens, and residents of Paris. Metro reported the younger man is a student whose nationality is unknown and has no fixed address.

Le Point reported French police were focusing on two suspects whom the magazine described as “French-Algerian." According to Le Point the two men, who were 32 and 34-years old, returned to France from Syria last summer.

According to Le Point, in 2008, one of these men was tied to an Iraqi network in Paris that allegedly encouraged young men to join militants in Iraq. The magazine reported he was also arrested in 2005 as he attempted to travel to Damascus. In addition to the two men, Le Point said police were looking for a suspect who was born in 1996 and has no fixed address.

image

At least 20,000 people also gathered in the French cities of Lyon and Toulouse, police said, after 12 people were killed by heavily armed gunmen screaming “Allahu akbar” (God is greatest).

Demonstrators wore black stickers marked “Je suis Charlie” (I am Charlie),a slogan aimed at showing solidarity with the victims of the deadliest attack in France in decades.

Others waved banners with slogans such as “Press freedom has no price” and “Charb mort libre” (Charb died free), a reference to the newspaper’s slain editor-in-chief Stephane Charbonnier.

Charbonnier was one of four cartoonists killed in the attack that also left 11 people injured.

“It’s terrible that these people were murdered. In future, no-one will be able to speak his mind. We have to demonstrate in our thousands,” said Beatrice Cano, a demonstrator in her fifties, who was carrying the latest issue of Charlie Hebdo.

“These people are not religious, they are monsters”

A student named Marie, who is at the protest at Place de la Republique tonight told The Local why she decided she had to attend the spontaneous rally in support of the victims of the Charlie Hebdo shooting.

“We have to show people we are not afraid. We have to defend freedom of speech. We should be able to say what we want.

“We must not attack Muslims because of this. The people behind this attack are not religious. They are monsters.”

Well, sounds like I have my answer. It’s going to be a long, long road.

Alice Blanc, 19, a law and development student studying in London but originally from Paris, held up a quote often attributed to Voltaire, saying: ‘I do no agree with what you have to say, but I will defend to death your right to say it.’

She said: ‘I don’t think a country like France today should have a problem with freedom of speech.

‘No matter what a journalist or magazine has to say, even if it is not what the majority of people think, they still have the right to say it without feeling in danger, which is the case today.’

Esther Benjoar, 25, a Parisian who has lived in London for the last two years, said: ‘It is people like you and I who went to work today who got killed for their passion, their job.

‘It is the right that the French republic gave them to say what they want to say, and they got killed because of that. They didn’t do anything wrong and I think it is time for France to fight against terrorism.’

After more than half an hour of quiet vigil, a woman’s French voice pierced the silence. She shouted: ‘Freedom of the press! Freedom of speech!’

But there is always a ray of hope.

Wake Up Call For France

MASS MURDER OVER CARTOONS

This is the true face of Islam: violent, deranged, utterly intolerant

12 DEAD IN PARIS MASSACRE: Islamic gunmen execute French police officer as he pleads for his life after terror attack on satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo at centre of Mohammed cartoon storm

• Masked gunmen storm Paris headquarters with AK-47s shouting ‘Allahu akbar!’ and ‘the Prophet has been avenged’
• Stalked building asking for people’s names before killing the editor and cartoonist during weekly editorial meeting
• Horrific footage shows a police officer begging for his life before being shot in the head at point-blank range
• Killers fled in stolen car across eastern Paris after a ‘mass shoot-out’ with police officers and remain on the loose
• Newspaper had recently posted a picture of Islamic State leader Abu Bakr al-Baghdadi on its Twitter account
• Publication’s offices were previously firebombed in 2011 for publishing satirical cartoon of Prophet Mohammed

Twelve people were killed today when gunmen carried out a massacre at the offices of a notoriously anti-Islamist newspaper in Paris - including a police officer who was executed as he begged for mercy on the pavement.

Three masked attackers brandishing Kalashnikovs burst into the Charlie Hebdo headquarters, opening fire on staff after seeking out journalists by name.

Those executed included four of the most famous cartoonists in France – men who had regularly satirised Islam and the Prophet Mohammed – including the newspaper’s editor-in-chief, Stephane Charbonnier.

Witnesses said the suspect Al Qaeda killers were heard to shout ‘the Prophet has been avenged’ and ‘Allahu akbar!’ as they stalked the building.

Horrific footage also emerged showing an injured police officer slumped on the pavement outside the office as two of the gunmen approach.

In an apparent desperate plea for his life, the officer is seen slowly raising his hand towards one of the attackers, who responds by callously shooting him in the head at point-blank range.

Despite a shoot-out with armed officers, the ‘calm and highly disciplined’ men who reportedly spoke perfect French were able to escape in a hijacked car and remain on the loose.

By midday, there were reports of up to 12 people dead and 10 wounded, four critically, including journalists, administrative staff, and police officers who attended the scene.

President Francois Hollande described the bloodbath as a ‘barbaric attack against France and against journalists’ and vowed to hunt down those responsible.

As well as the AK47 assault rifles, there were also reports of a rocket-propelled grenade being used in the attack, which took place during the publication’s weekly editorial meeting, meaning all the journalists would have been present.

They are said to have sought out staff ‘by name’, according to a police source, adding that Charbonnier, known as Charb, a cartoonist responsible for an anti-Islam front page, was among those killed.

Mr Charbonnier was included in a 2013 Wanted Dead or Alive for Crimes Against Islam article published by Inspire, the terrorist propaganda magazine published by Al Qaeda.

Cartoonists Cabu, Tignous and Wolinski were all also reported dead.

You know, I was going to add a couple of the cartoons. And I was going to link in a secondary article, which wondered if those cartoons had triggered the attack. Then I said Eff That. Cartoons “triggering” mass slaughter? BULL. SHIT. A newspaper staff executed because they have different opinions? BULL. SHIT.

Let’s face the truth. Let’s face the real truth. Even a tiny percentage of muslims worldwide add up to a damn big army. Millions. And they are all batshit fucking insane. Period. Rabid dogs. And there is only one cure. And of all the hundreds of millions of others, the so-called and almost invisible “peaceful moderates”, in 13 years exactly ONE has spoken up for reform. ONE. President al-Sisi of Egypt, last week. ONE. This is not a case of one bad apple spoiling the whole bunch. This is not a case of a tiny tarbrush painting the whole barn black. This is a case of the vast majority living in silent approval of the acts of tens of thousands of lunatics. Not one or two isolated madmen. TENS OF THOUSANDS OF THEM. And of a “faith” that breeds lunatics at a prodigious rate. This is a cancer on humanity, across the entire world.

a night at the opera, but it isn’t the marx bros. veiled woman told to remove or leave

There are some things the French do get right, in the face of lefty opposition every step of the way.

Brit authorities might never be able to follow, due to the strangle hold the left has on these matters.
They make everything a race issue with their habit of attaching “phobic” to words thus shutting down all argument. It’s phobic or else an ism.

Meanwhile, on the negative side of French thinking, their courts have fined former actress and goddess Bridget Bardot more than once and not for small sums either, for her criticism of the homosexual lobby and the lifestyle itself, and also for her criticism of that oh so peaceful religion and its followers.
She was even fined for her criticism in a book she wrote warning about uncontrolled immigration especially by muslims.  So the French don’t always have things right.
In this case .... they do.  But it may be too late for the French and for Europe as well.

I have been to Heathrow Airport, London dear reader.  And mostly, the people I saw were more than likely legals. It’s their numbers that are staggering. But wait. I mustn’t say that cos it’s .... you know.  And what I see there is only the very tip of the berg. And anyway, I’m also guilty of scare mongering for telling ppl what I have seen for myself and what I continue to see.

Woman is thrown out of Paris opera after cast refused to perform unless she removed Muslim veil

· Cast ‘objected strongly’ to woman in the audience wearing a niqab-type veil
· Security guard asked her to either uncover her face or leave
· Ban on covering the face in public in France was introduction in 2011
· The incident has divided opinion in the city’s liberal arts community
By Peter Allen

France’s Socialist government today pledged to toughen up its anti face-covering law after a veiled Muslim woman was ejected from a major Paris opera house.

In an incident which has divided opinion in the city’s liberal arts community, cast members performing La Traviata ‘objected strongly’ to the presence of a woman in the audience wearing a niqab-type veil.

‘A singer spotted her in the front row during the second act,’ said Jean-Philippe Thiellay, director of the Bastille Opera, which was opened by Socialist president Francois Mitterand in 1989.

‘Some performers said they didn’t want to sing,’ said Mr Thiellay, who confirmed that she was kicked out.

There has been a ban on Muslims covering their face in public in France since the introduction of a law in 2011.

Women living on housing estates on the outskirts of major cities like Paris are regularly criminalised with a fine, but this is the first incident of someone being ejected from an artistic venue.

So far unnamed, she is believed to be a well-off woman from a Gulf State, and was attending the performance with a friend.

Referring to a security guard, Mr Thiellay said: ‘He told her that in France there is a ban of this nature, asked her to either uncover her face or leave the auditorium.

‘The man asked the woman to get up, they left. It was unpleasant getting her to leave.

‘But there was a misunderstanding of the law and the lady either had to respect it or leave,’

just what the brits do not need over here. but then, it may not be their country anymore, anyway

Back for short while with apology to Drew who already has lots on his shoulders.

Some notes of interest and the usual flooding of immigrants who are mostly illegal.  You can’t say that of course, because to say so makes one a raaaaacist.
Which in my case is true but truth to tell, I am aware as too many on the left are not, that white or otherwise, this is still an island.  No matter how many migrants are allowed in or sneak in, the island will not get bigger.
At the moment, the problem across the channel in Calais is quite serious and the French for some reasoning I can not make sense of, seem to think the problem is England’s problem. The French say the Brits, should be paying more and seeing to the invasion of French soil.
What I don’t understand is why it should be the responsibility of the folks here in the UK.  Those immigrants are in France illegally to begin with.  So why can’t the French simply shoot a few hundred and deport the rest?

At least there is a tiny bit of good news to come out of this latest mess.
One girl tried chasing a truck to get to the UK, got greased by a car and went to wherever it is those sub species go when they stop breathing.
One less breeder.  Hey, that’s a good thing.

Running battles between African mobs, riot police with tear gas, a teenage girl killed chasing a truck to get to Britain… Just another day on the Calais front line

Police use tear gas on 400 Calais migrants as they attempt to storm lorries heading for Britain as tensions flare at French port

· An estimated 400 male migrants attempted to storm lorries in French town
· Police were forced to use tear gas and batons to control the crowds
· Thousands of migrants are camping out in Calais to try to gain entry to UK
· Most are thought to have travelled to France from North Africa

By Peter Allen In Paris

‘There were between 300 and 400 of them and they all rushed the lorries at once,’ said a local police spokesman.

Officers are stretched to breaking point by constant violence
The gangs fight over the best routes to the ferry port to the UK

‘It was such a serious situation that CRS riot squad officers had to use tear gas and batons – it was a highly charged incident.
‘It happened during the late afternoon.’

The officer admitted that ‘some may have got aboard lorries’ in the chaos, which follows police complaints that they cannot cope with the rising tide of migrants.

By nightfall reinforcements had been drafted into the port from nearby towns in northern France, including Boulogne and Lille.

Police had no figures for arrests, although it is common practice for anyone involved in such incidents to be allowed to go free.
Few of those involved have any papers, and there is very little the authorities can do with them.

Calais mayor Natacha Bouchart said she was sick of the numbers queuing up in northern France to try and sneak across the Channel.

‘I could take the decision to block the port,’ she said, following a meeting with Interior Minister Bernard Cazeneuve in Paris in August.
‘I could bring pressure to bear. It would be illegal, but today I want to make a strong gesture towards the British.’

Just hours after the clash a 16-year-old Ethiopian girl was knocked over and killed on a busy Calais road yesterday as she tried to board a lorry to Britain.
Her death is the third in as many weeks and highlights the increasingly desperate plight of migrants who are willing risk their lives to cross the Channel.

they keep coming but now have demands …. but will the french get sick of it all? see video

Back in Le-belle France again ... or is it La-bell?
Must be careful not to get it wrong in case madame president somehow finds us here. (see next post)

Anyway ....  About the time I get used to things, more or less, and don’t think anything new on the immigration front will surprise, up pops this story.
Tell the truth ... I sometimes wonder if the papers make up these stories.
Here are ppl living hand to gaping mouth taking charity; and they’re complaining ?  So yeah, that got my eyes open.

Why the French can not simply turn these filthy rotten- flea ridden- lice infested scum back with threats of being shot dead, I don’t know.
The French public, at least many of them, are quite upset too.  They don’t like what’s happening to their country.  But they must be a small minority because the French elected a socialist president in their last election.
What I am certain of is with each charitable day, immigrant numbers will grow and grow and .... well.  You get the picture.

Oh ... before I forget.
The leader of the Lib/Dems here (Liberal Democrats) thinks that this country needs more immigration. He thinks taking in the oppressed and the hopeless and jobless and oh lets not forget the homeless, that will be provided of course.  And that baboon loving buffoon is the deputy prime minister in this coalition govt.

Damn ... hope the heck I’m not coming down with a cold. Last thing I need, especially now.

btw ... check out the photos at the link. One of them has a shot of one brillo head with a cell phone. Looks like anyway.

See the VIDEO at the link. It’s about two minutes. Even then, that’s just a tiny fraction, a small hint. Watch it. And they’re coming here!

Calais migrants turn up at their nose at ‘bland’ food being handed out to them

Migrants in Calais rejected meals handed out to them by a French aid charity

Turned their nose up at the food which they said was not spicy enough

Many have now been accused of being ‘too pampered’ after refusing meals

Salam aid charity says ‘many in France don’t even have an evening meal’

2000 migrants sleep rough in Calais as they try to board ferries to the UK

By Peter Allen In Paris

Immigrants in Calais who are desperate to reach Britain have complained to charities that the free food being handed out to them is not spicy enough.

Many were accused of being ‘pampered’ after they rejected the meals offered in northern France by the aid association Salam.

The group’s spokesman, Jean-Claude Lenoir, said it was ‘very disappointing’ that some went without a meal because of the row.

‘The leaders staged a small protest and prevented the others from coming to eat,’ he said. ‘This was unacceptable.’

Mr Lenoir said the meal was ‘a lot less salty and not very spicy’ compared with what was usually served.

He said spices are ‘very expensive’, and went on to criticise the refugees.

‘I find that they’re a bit too pampered by now,’ he said.

‘As soon as 15 or 20 refused the meal, I stepped in to tell them if they didn’t want the food we could put it away and that it was scandalous,’ he said.

Referring to the tough economic circumstances in his home country, Mr Lenoir said: ‘Many in France don’t even have an evening meal.’

While aid workers were happy to help the migrants, ‘there are limits with regards to what we can propose’.

There was no violence during the protest against the food being served, and some of the migrants apologised afterwards.

There are currently 2,000 migrants sleeping rough in the Calais area as they try to get aboard ferries to Britain. There, many will claim asylum, so gaining access to free housing and social security benefits.

Over the summer, Calais mayor Natacha Bouchart threatened to close the docks following an attempt by scores of mainly Eritreans and Sudanese to storm a ferry.

Ms Bouchart said she wanted ‘far more help from the British government’ to deal with people attempting to cross the Channel illegally.

The number of migrants in Calais has increased sharply in the past few months, and hundreds more are also camping out near other Channel ports, including Dunkirk and Cherbourg. All play a nightly game of cat-and-mouse with the police as they attempt to break into lorries that are heading for the UK.

The migrants are mainly from Somalia, Sudan and Eritrea, and have crossed to Italy before travelling through mainland Europe.

Violent clashes between rival migrant groups and people smugglers have also broken out in Calais.

According to the Calais Prefecture, 7,414 undocumented migrants were arrested in Calais in the first six months of this year, compared with 3,129 detained in the same period of 2013. Most of those detained are soon released.

ILLEGAL IMMIGRANT CALLED 999 BECAUSE HE WAS TOO COLD

A dozen illegal immigrants travelling in the back of a refrigerated lorry on the M6 were discovered yesterday after one dialled 999 because he was so cold.

Police had to close the motorway during morning rush hour after the ‘distressed’ illegal immigrant asked for an ambulance, begging for ‘urgent assistance’ in broken English. He dialled 999 because it was said to be the only phone number he knew in the UK.

The call was traced and police pulled the lorry on to the hard shoulder near Hilton Park Services near Cannock, Staffordshire. Officers were stunned to see a dozen poorly-dressed men emerge shivering from the back of the lorry.

The M6 was shut for two hours as the men – believed to be from North Africa and the Middle East – were examined. The driver of the lorry was being questioned by police last night.

The left gets sillier by the day. strike that. how about by the hour? No? the minute then. ok

Tells ya where the culture has gone in these modern enlightened times.
Backwards?
Not even that.  I think some ppl, generally of the left and especially the ultra left femi-nazis, have found a whole new level to drop into.

This comes from France and so perhaps it won’t surprise anyone.  They are a bit screwed up these days but then hey .... they are not the only ones.
So I’m not just picking on the French to be mean spirited, it’s just that the story originates there. Oh boy.

Imagine a $1600 fine for this bit of insanity.  I can not imagine any woman of a conservative mindset would dream of something like this.

War of le words: French MP fined for using sexist GRAMMAR after calling female colleague ‘Madame le President’

Julian Aubert was technically correct, because ‘president’ is a male word

He pointed out ‘Madame la President’ would mean the president’s wife

National Assembly president Sandrine Mazetier was nonetheless offended

She officially reprimanded the MP and fined him the equivalent of £1,000 ($1600)

By Peter Allen

A French MP has been reprimanded and fined for using allegedly sexist grammar in the Paris parliament.

In a bizarre case which will be of particular interest to British people who have struggled over ‘le’ and ‘la’ during torturous French lessons, Julien Aubert called a senior colleague ‘Madame le President’.

‘Madame le President’ is technically correct, because all nouns in France have a sex, and ‘president’ is a male word.

But Sandrine Mazetier, the Socialist president in the National Assemby, objected to the term, saying she was clearly a woman and should be ‘Madame La Presidente’, with an ‘e’ on the end.

During a parliamentary session on Monday, Ms Mazetier said: ‘Mr Aubert I’m calling you to order. It’s “Madame la Presidente”. It’s a call to order without a fine, but next time...’

But Mr Aubert, of the conservative UMP, refused to comply, pointing out that according to l’Academie Francaise, France’s language police, ‘Madame la Presidente’ would refer to the president’s wife.

This prompted Ms Mezetier to issue a formal fine equivalent to just over £1,000, and he was officially reprimanded.

Left wingers supported the move, with Green Party MP Cecile Duflot insisting: ‘This isn’t trivial. Many respectful UMP members don’t do this kind of thing.’

Caroline de Haas, a high profile feminist politician, tweeted: ‘A woman at the head of National Assembly seems to bother the UMP. It’s true, it’s only 2014 after all.’

But Eric Ciotti, another member of the UMP, said it was ‘a grotesque and ridiculous sanction’ against Mr Aubert, adding the ‘Socialists bring back the thought police’.

Pierre Morel, also a UMP MP, said: ‘The sanction against Julian Aubert is dumb, Sandrine Mezetier is abusing her powers.’

Sometimes there is a certain Freudian logic. For example, “plug” (der Steck) in German is male and plughole (die Steckdose) is female. Wait till the feminist lobby starts moaning about that!

you couldn’t make it up …. a kiss too far for french feminists

Well, here we go again folks.

They never have enuff to bitch about and find fault with.  Never mind that in 1945 there were no femi-nazis to tell us it was an assault.

You will I am sure all recognize this famous photo.
Sure ya do. It was Times Square, 1945 when there were no porn stores and druggies panhandling in large numbers, and no politically correct images to avoid. There was Macy’s and Macy’s parades every year but alas ... (sarcasm) there were no parades to highlight how wonderful it was to declare oneself a homosexual. With pride yet. whoo-ha. Anyway ... I remember the great white way back then. I was there in 44 and 45 and went every Christmas up to about 53 I think.  But I have digressed. Sorry. Photo just brought back memories.

image

Well now ... here’s the story.

An artist in Florida named Seward Johnson made a statue of that moment in 1945.
Here it is.

But some folks are not happy.  Of course not. This minority group will decide for everyone, what constitutes good and bad, right and wrong.

The statue ‘Unconditional surrender’ by US artist Seward Johnson, is seen in the northwestern city of Caen on October 4, 2014.

The statue, inspired by the famous photograph made by US photographer Alfred Eisensteadt in New York’s Times square in 1945 at the end of WWII, has been drawing controversy since it appeared that the kiss might have been the result of a forceful action, and the French feminist association ‘ Osez le feminism’ (Dare Feminism), considering it as the representation of a sexual assault, denounced an inappropriate symbol for freedom and launched a petition for the statue to be removed.

company boss (brit) declares France a place where nothing works, as in kaput.

I don’t know if John Lewis Stores operate in the USA under another name.  John Lewis may not be at all familiar to folks outside Europe, or here in the UK. But they are large.  I guess you could say think Wal-Mart except upscale. They have a very interesting family history and like many ventures in business, it started with the family and I believe it remains there to a large degree.
The company continuously scores high in customer satisfaction in surveys that matter.  So what I’m saying is that they are not at all minor league.
The family are also landowners on a major scale. So naturally, when I saw a headline first thing this morning quoting their managing director who declares that, France is KAPUT.  Well ..........

Take a look.

France is finished says John Lewis boss: Astonishing attack on nation where ‘nothing works’

Managing director of John Lewis, Andy Street, said France is ‘finished’
He described Paris as the ‘squalor pit of Europe’ where ‘nothing works’
Mr Street made the remarks after visiting Paris earlier this week
John Lewis insisted that Mr Street’s remarks were ‘tongue in cheek’

The boss of John Lewis has launched an astonishing attack on France – describing it as ‘finished’ and advising investors to take their money out of a country where ‘nothing works’.

Managing director Andy Street made the controversial remarks after visiting Paris earlier this week to pick up an international retail award.

Speaking to entrepreneurs yesterday, Mr Street labelled the country ‘sclerotic, hopeless and downbeat’.

Paris is often referred to as the most beautiful city in the world, but Mr Street described one of its main stations as the ‘squalor pit of Europe’.

‘You get on the Eurostar from something I can only describe as the squalor pit of Europe, Gare Du Nord, and you get off at a modern, forward-looking station [St Pancras],’ Mr Street told a conference in London.

He added: ‘I have never been to a country more ill at ease… nothing works and worse, nobody cares about it.’

Last night John Lewis insisted that Mr Street’s remarks were ‘tongue in cheek’.

The comments, reported in The Times newspaper, also included an unflattering reference to the ‘plastic’ retail award given to the company in the French capital as ‘frankly revolting’.

He said that the award would be a permanent reminder of the decline of the country, adding: ‘Every time I [see it] I shall think, ‘God help France’.’

Mr Street’s Eurostar train back to London from the World Retail Congress was delayed. He also blasted French hospitality, saying that the wine and food were better at a London event.

He did, however did give the French credit for their service which he described as ‘incomparable’.

The comments are nonetheless highly embarrassing for Mr Street.

They come less than a year after the retail giant launched a French-language website.

Last night the French embassy told The Times: ‘France is the fifth biggest economy in the world, the second of Europe, and is the country with the fifth largest stock of foreign direct investment in the world, so obviously many foreign businesses do not seem to share Mr Street’s view.

‘Also, saying that nothing works in France shows how wide of the mark those comments are.’

they call themselves anti fascists but actually, they are pond scum I wish the worst for

Look at these scum.
What an inviting target.
They belong to the left and have come from outside Calais, many of them have, and believe that by calling themselves anti-Fascists, they have carte blanche to attack anyone who speaks out about immigration, or any topic they happen to support. They have the right to shut down debate and shout down everyone by labelling them as “Fascists.” But I think we know they are fakes.  They are all about control of any opposition by any means.  They are as active here in the UK as they are over there in France.  In fact, these vermin often travel from country to country.
If they fancy themselves defenders of freedom and light, why the masks and hoods?

Just the sight of these filthy bastards makes me see red.

Just so ya know.  This all really started because residence of the city complained that the govt. was not doing enough or maybe nothing , with the ever-growing numbers of these lice in their town.  There seems, to them, to be no control.
They are right.  And it shouldn’t matter but ... not all those demonstrating against the immigration policy in their country, are of the right. Some have no politics at all.  Or they didn’t until now.

Powder keg Calais: Hooded anti-fascists clash with right-wing protesters as tempers reach boiling point over migrant invasion of port

· Youths carrying large wooden sticks congregated outside town hall
· Right-wing demonstrators were protesting against camp of migrants
· Left-wing supporters of foreigners stormed area wearing black face masks
· Comes as UK offered to send 9ft-high steel fences to improve security

Anti-fascist activists clashed on the streets of Calais yesterday with protesters angry with the town’s swelling migrant population.

Young men and women, many wearing black face masks and carrying large wooden sticks, congregated outside the town hall to confront right-wing demonstrators.

It is the latest outburst in the escalating tensions among migrants and local communities, which have reached breaking point in the last week.
The right-wing group Sauvons Calais – meaning ‘Save Calais’ – were protesting against the growing number of people, mostly from the Horn of Africa, Sudan and Afghanistan, who have set up camp as they try to enter the UK.

Around 300 riot police were called in to try to maintain peace as the protesters found themselves under attack from left-wing supporters of the foreigners.
Last night police struggled to set up barricades to keep the two groups separate as violence and vandalism raged on the streets.

The unrest follows the revelation yesterday that the UK government has offered to send 9ft-high steel fences to the town to improve security.

The 12 miles of fencing was used at the Nato summit in Wales last week, and the Home Office says it is much stronger than the barriers currently in place at the French port.
