Every once in a while I find a photo or two of Ann Margaret and can’t resist putting them up here.  Always loved this luscious looking woman. And she even has talent although she didn’t have to.  I’d love her anyway.  It’s just personal but, nobody in Hollywood from the very beginning was ever better looking or sexier or more beautiful then ....

Pity the poor land down under. Australia and Tasmania have been inundated by heavy rains for weeks now. Flooding across huge parts of the nation, especially in Queensland. And the rains aren’t over yet.

In several places the flood waters have been 25 - 30 feet deep. It’s going to cost them billions to clean up when this is all over. Still, no worries. The Aussies will pitch in and get the job done. No whinging.

But here’s a wild little bit of flood news that sounds like one of their famous tall tales ...

Two bull sharks have been spotted swimming past the McDonald’s restaurant in Goodna. Goodna butcher Steve Bateman saw one of the sharks swimming through the flooded waters of Williams Street near his bucher’s shop in the St Ives shopping centre yesterday. There were several reports of another shark spotted in Queen Street, the main street through Goodna.

Bull sharks have been spotted in the Goodna sections of the Bremer BRISBANE River previously, with fishermen regularly catching them from the Goodna boat ramp.

Ipswich councillor for the Goodna region Paul Tully said while it may sound almost too bizarre to be real, the shark sighting was valid.

“It would have swam several kilometres in from the river, across Evan Marginson Park and the motorway,” Cr Tully said.

“It’s definitely a first for Goodna, to have a shark in the main street.

Goodna was awash with water eight metres deep during the past 48 hours. The water receded dramatically overnight.

Goodna is about 20 miles southwest of Brisbane, though about 40 miles up the meandering river from that city. Brisbane is on the east coast of Australia, right above the middle of the eastward bulge of the continent.

BRISBANE, Australia, Jan 13 (Reuters) - Floods left parts of Australia’s third-biggest city on Thursday looking like a war zone in need of years of reconstruction, the state premier said, while fresh threats loomed with a cyclone forecast offshore.

The floods across the state of Queensland have killed at least 19 people, 12 of whom died in the Toowoomba area inland, and 61 were missing, the state government said.

Toowoomba and the Lockyer Valley region, west of state capital Brisbane, were devastated by tsunami-like flash flooding on Monday.

Large parts of Brisbane have become muddy lakes, with an entire waterfront cafe among the debris washing down the Brisbane River, a torrent that has flooded 12,000 homes in the city of 2 million and left 118,000 buildings without power.

Aerial views of Brisbane showed a sea of brown water with rooftops poking through the surface.

“What I’m seeing looks more like a war zone in some places,” Queensland Premier Anna Bligh told reporters after surveying the disaster from the air. “All I could see was their rooftops ... underneath every single one of those rooftops is a horror story.”

Floodwaters in 35 suburbs, which on Thursday peaked below disastrous levels predicted a day earlier, forced residents to take to boats to move about the streets, where traffic signs peeped above the water.

Rescue teams and victims of the flooding have already had to deal with crocodiles and snakes, with Australia’s northeast [Queensland]-- which has been battered by weeks of flooding—home to some of the world’s most dangerous species.

this and that and eye candy by accident

OK first up and brief.

Piers Morgan Tonight premieres Monday, Jan. 17 on CNN at 9 ET/PT.
I’d like to see that only because I want to know if he’s really gonna try and lock horns with FOX, which he said he’d do in an interview.
He was aware he said, of the falling ratings of CNN, is aware of FOX and the right wing media and hopes to overcome the low CNN ratings.

In another interview, and why the hell he thinks it’s his bloody freekin business, he flamed New Yorkers who bitched about Mayor Bloomberg and the snow removal disaster recently. He went on to say that Americans are served portions that are too large and should cut down. He was I believe referring to the portions served in American restaurants.  You hear that a lot over here from ppl returning from a visit to the USA. They can not believe the portions our eateries dish up.
Well ,,, I don’t think we need any advice on the subject from that guy.
The thing I hate about him?  Damn it! He is likable. He’s charming. Or he can be. He’s also very full of himself in an odd way because he will make fun of himself but it doesn’t come off as fake.  Of course understand, he’s new to me this past year and then not all of the year. He’s also married to a beautiful woman. Journalist, Celia Walden.  And to give him his due, from the little I’ve seen and its been very little, he does interviews well. Maybe if I was watching a lot I might change that opinion.

Now then ... you will not believe what I found today. It’s another one of those, I really wasn’t looking for this.  Seriously. I was looking for this.

Greece Downsizes Plans for Anti-Immigration Wall along Turkey Border

There has been a big brouhaha because Greece publicly said, “ENOUGH” with all this damn illegal immigration. We’re building a wall damn it.
They didn’t cuss however. That was me. So ... that’s where I was going and even had the site. But when I clicked a link, I was not looking where exactly I was going and found this instead.  And isn’t she pretty? Know who she is?  Her name is, Romina Andonova, and she is Miss Bulgaria.

BULGARIA for heaven’s sake. Bulgaria?  Yeah. You mean the eastern European country of heavy set people and really unattractive women? Even coarse looking?  Yeah. That Bulgaria. Well, things have sure changed.

I’ll catch up on the Greek thing later.  I need to research Bulgaria and see if this lady is just a one off. Oh the things I have to look at for you guys.

It’s late, I’m tired, put up with wife’s ding bat cousin for a few hours today. Jeesh. I don’t dislike her. Exactly. It’s just that she’s so damn stupid. I don’t think I’ve ever known anyone dumber.  Today is another legal holiday, and the new tax goes into force, I think tomorrow. Gas prices up for certain. So .... the gas (petrol) station near her wasn’t open and she wanted to fill the tank before the price goes up. Smart, yeah? Well ... the ding-a-ling drove 40 miles round trip and not on freeways but around the curves and the twists and turns of small town and village driving, looking for petrol. Couldn’t find anything and came back empty tanked. Well, not totally empty as she made it to our house for afternoon tea ok. That’s when she told us about her adventure.  Wife said she probably spent more driving and looking then she’ll save. Oh, says she. You’re right, aren’t you? It never occurred to me.  This is a woman who will ask you how to do something and end up talking right through your answer. She actually interrupts her own conversation while talking to you and it a sight to behold. Well not a sight really, more audio isn’t it?  Funny thing tho ... she is on top of the history of this place and the history of England in general.  She can quote you facts that you can check, she has a memory for that and it was once her job. So I give her credit for that. But in everything else ... total bone head.  We listened to a 20 minute story about how she found this wonderful pair of shoes recently.  Thing is, she sidetracked herself so often and repeated things she already said, that it took 20 min. at least.
She can not have a conversation without repeating over and over some small point or bit of info, as if saying it for the first time. One of these days I’m gonna record her and play it here. Maybe upload to YT. Be a comedy sensation.

Ah ...  speaking of sensational.  And this wasn’t planned. But I found one thing which led to another and came up with ......

Don’t know who she is, but of all the pix, this is my favorite tonight.

I don’t know who this lady is either. Sure do like her though.

A FAMILY FULL OF EYE CANDY

Take my word for it folks. This has been a fraught day. Big ‘F’ big ‘D.’ And all because I asked a Windows certified person a question three days ago.

Now my damn AV quits scanning and freezes, and this being Sunday and Monday being another holiday, it’s called Boxing Day here, well.  No hope for help till Tuesday when I can call my AV ppl.
Even before today tho, something happens a lot that makes me wanna toss this freekin thing out a window.

You know when you click Contrl/Alt/Delete, and you can see what’s running?  Well, sometimes what’s supposed to be running isn’t.  It will say, program not responding.
Well Duh! No kidding. Kind of figured that out. So what do you do?  What do you do?
You click END TASK. Right?  Well what the hell else are ya gonna do when you can’t even close the damn thing with the red ‘X’ in the upper right?
So here’s what happens every single effing time I hit end task.
IT EFFING DOESN’T! 
What it does do, is open yet another effing window that tells me it wants to report the problem and asks if I want to. But it makes no damn effing difference because .... no matter how you answer .... another dialog window opens asking the very same question and every time you try to end the damn task another box opens asking the same thing £”!£"$^&*(*^!!!!!!"R&U()___+@{)P*&%$"!!!
So before long you notice a string on apps down in the task bar at the bottom of your screen and every time you try to close, ah nuts!  You get the picture.
What do you do?
A HARD effing shut down cos otherwise ur stuck there opening and closing dialog boxes.

Does that happen with the op. system in a MAC as well?

I really did have a story to post which I need to hunt for and in the process I found something else.
This is the weirdest damn intro to EYE CANDY I’ve ever seen.

OK, I posted one of the shots 2wice last year.  It’s possible some of you never saw this goddess.  A former ‘A’ student I want ya to know. No dumb airhead blond this lady. AND ... her sisters I just discovered, are eye candy twins.  The mom is a bow-wow with a tatt. Go figure. But looks run in this family, the late Lady Di was the aunt, and was herself a Spencer.

and just so ya know, the term “Lady” is her official title. Woo-hoo. I’d call her your magnificentness untill I can find an even better word.

Looks good to me.  I think tall women are pretty sexy. Acres and acres of leg. What’s not to like?
Came across this in the Telegraph on line while looking for a lost story. So I googled her and found that most of the photos are all duplicates.

OK, Here’s the question for ya.
A female model or ... a guy in drag?  Someone suggested that. I looked again but don’t see that. Do you? Looks real here.

The model thought to be the world’s tallest has revealed that she also wrestles smaller men for $400 (£260) an hour.

Amazon Eve, who is from Turlock in California and stands at 6 feet 9 inches, is a full-time model and actress. But she will wrestle when asked.

Amazon Eve originally gave up on an acting career after producers in Los Angeles kept casting her as a monster or alien but now she is hoping for major movie roles

See, here’s what happened. I was looking for something when I found this W W O W! Wasn’t even looking for it but hey. The Mail insists on putting these little small enough to be seen photos on the right side of their news page. Clever ppl the folks at the Mail. Even if sometimes they’re juvenile in their approach to a story and even tho it often seems like they don’t research too close. On the other hand, they have a couple of great writers. So there I was confronted by this.
Now tell me ...  what would you have done?  Exactly. And that’s why I’m posting these. Gosh, nature can be so good at times.

A Double Challenge

So I’m over at McGoo’s, running down the 90 comments to his one weekly post. And I saw a note from Wicca so I followed it over to his blog, Red State Witch. Yup, there are guy witches these days. Not warlocks or sorcerers. So I cruised through a couple of posts, until I got to one about booze, which was put in there because the folks over at Hookers And Booze really haven’t done much booze reviewing lately, being far too preoccupied with the Spassfabrik Hookers. So I bounced over to H&B and found ... a totally NSFW post-holiday double challenge mid-week whatsit. Which they did not identify as such, so I stole it.

Mwahahahahaaa!

Why a double challenge? First, you have to actually find the whatsit.  Then you have to identify it. Good luck on both points, and a double challenge double hat tip to RSW and H&B. And to the never ending comment thread over at A&A II.
