apparently one your “human rights” is to not pay your rent if we follow the european court

Well how’s this for some nerve. And the woman is only 23 but .... I guess she’s entitled.

You’ll recall a story last week about squatters. This is only different because she isn’t a foreigner. BUT ... ah. There’s always a BUT. Isn’t there?
The foreigner in these cases is a court sitting outside this country.  The Conservatives here are trying to undo things but (again) it is gonna be an uphill struggle.

Once you compromise on your sovereignty for any reason whatever, it’s all downhill from there.  Thank heaven and Misters Smith & Wesson and Colt that when it’s Americas turn, we’ll have more then words to fire back at those who will try and compromise our sovereignty. And if you don’t believe it’s in the process now, then you’ve been asleep for awhile. Wake Up!

I borrowed this cartoon from Vilmar’s site cos it sure fit our story here.

Woman on benefits owing £3,500 rent can’t be evicted: New European human rights ruling could lead to thousands of tenants refusing to pay
By James Slack

Evicting a woman from her council home for failing to pay rent would breach her human rights, judges ruled yesterday.
Town Hall chiefs wanted to evict Rebecca Powell, who receives thousands of pounds in benefits, after she ran up more than £3,500 in arrears on the accommodation she was given because she was homeless.

But the Supreme Court said that – under the controversial European Convention on Human Rights – this would be a breach of the right to ‘respect for a person’s home’.

Council leaders and the Government had fought the case and fear it may now be harder to evict thousands of council tenants who fall into arrears.
Legal experts said there was an increasing ‘trend’ for tenants – including ‘neighbours from hell’ – to use human rights law to thwart eviction.

Passing yesterday’s judgment, Lord Hope made it clear the ruling had its origins in Strasbourg. He said the ‘time had come to accept and apply the jurisprudence of the European court’.

The ruling brought fresh demands for reform of Labour’s Human Rights Act, which enshrines the European Convention on Human Rights into UK law, and of the unelected Strasbourg court.

It comes in the wake of cases saying that prisoners must be entitled to vote and that paedophiles can apply to be taken off the Sex Offender Register.
Last night Tory MP Philip Davies said: ‘It seems to me that the courts always find in favour of the human rights of people who are doing something wrong. We have got to change that balance, it is getting completely out of hand.

‘What about the human rights of the landlord to get their rent, what about the human rights of the taxpayer?’
Miss Powell, now 23, was given a home in Cranford, West London, by Hounslow Council in April 2007. By June the following year Miss Powell, who lives with her partner and four children, owed the council more than £3,500.

She was entitled to around £15,000 a year in housing benefit which could have covered the payments, but had not applied for it properly.
Eviction proceedings began but were halted when Miss Powell appealed under the Human Rights Act. At one stage the council moved the family out in order to renovate the home at taxpayers’ expense, then moved them back in.

Yesterday, Lord Hope and Lord Phillips ruled that the council had not considered whether it was ‘proportionate’ to evict Miss Powell and ordered that the eviction be quashed.

Hounslow Council, anticipating defeat, has offered her ‘suitable alternative accommodation’ and she has never been without a home.
Judges will have to consider the ruling when looking at similar cases involving people who would otherwise be homeless.
Miss Powell has agreed to clear her arrears of £3,536.39 at £5 per week, or sooner if she can.

can a judge have actually said this?  read on.

Well now, this is a theory I’ve never run across before. But leave it to a lawyer’s brain to split the hairs.

So then .. if you sexuality assault a child but still like older women as well, you are not strictly speaking a pedophile. Huh?  Do you read it this way as well?
I wonder if somehow something got lost in translation because even in this upside down ludicrous world, that does not make any sense.
See G of V for more on the subject.
Oh, and here’s a thought someone else raised in conversation a while ago.

In the days of Mohamed, and not just him, would child sex have been the norm? And not just with islamics. Since life ended fairly early, would it not have begun early as well?  I never thought about that before someone asked it.

Press Release on the Scandalous Judgment Against Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff

Gemmingen, February 15, 2011

On February 15, 2011, Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff was sentenced to a fine of €480 for “denigration of religious doctrines” by Judge Bettina Neubauer in the Vienna Regional Court. She was acquitted of the original charge of ethnic incitement.

The court based “denigration of religious doctrines” on the fact that Elisabeth Sabaditsch-Wolff had characterized Mohammed as “pedophiliac” because — according to Islamic legend — he had sex with nine year-old Aisha. In the court’s view, this was “denigrating” because Mohammed did not have sex exclusively with children but also with grown women, and stayed with Aisha until his death when she was eighteen years old. So he was not inclined to pedophilia.

It might be interesting to see whether this scandalous judicial interpretation could persist in regard to convicted child molesters in Austria. It is known that many of these child molesters were fathers of families at the time. This could therefore no longer legally be called “pedophilia.”

Elisabeth’s statement after the trial is clear: “Today is a sad day for my young daughter and for all other young girls.”

europe is very angry at the Brits at this moment … screw em. europe I mean. war at 6.stay tuned

It all really started perhaps 25 years ago when a guy named Hirst took an axe and whacked his landlady a few times and re-arranged her in a way nature had not intended people to be. He’s a free man now having learned his lesson without even turning to Jesus and btw isn’t at all remorseful. Well heck, no reason to be. He’s a free man and one with a goal.  He was offended and done dirty by an unscrupulous penal system that didn’t allow him to vote.  Well, said he. We’ll soon see about that.

So he lobbied and wrote and got legal help cos tho he’s a murderous and miserable bastard, he is not stupid. He knows the system and he knows how the game is played.
And play it he has.

People who read this blog on a fairly steady basis are by now familiar with my rants and hair pulling diatribes with regard to something called The European Union.  If you speak to the average Brit on the street, I personally believe that a fair majority will rant against their membership too. Alas, there isn’t a hell of lot the voter/taxpayer can do about it.

The other thing I bark about a lot, in fact it’s almost become a religion with me, is a little thing called National Sovereignty. Brits feel they’ve lost their and many damn well want it back.  Ah there’s the rub.  Ya see, I have just discovered something else in Europe that ties things up. Well two actually.
There also the European Commission, AND, The Council of Europe. Oh and lets not forget about the European Court of Human Rights, which has judges sitting on it that not only don’t speak English, they aren’t even judges in their home countries.

Well, the fight has been raging for months now about a prisoners right to the vote. And they do have their adherents. So the court ruled in favor of voting rights with some liberals claiming that their freedom is denied due to their crime(s), but that they should not be made to feel excluded.  They have human rights and one of those is the vote.  The PM said the thought of that made him ill. The court says tough, and govt. lawyers say that since the court ruled in favor, if the govt. refuses, then the taxpayer will shell out millions and millions in compensation claims. To guys who most likely never voted in their entire lives anyway.

That’s where things stood till Thursday night.  I listened to some of the arguments on the radio. The conservatives threatened a revolt if the issue wasn’t voted on in Parliament. There were some who were willing to cave in to the European court, but even many Liberals joined with the Cons to say up your wahzoo to the court.  This is an internal affair affecting our country and our courts.

Oh no it isn’t says the court outside the UK borders.  It’s our affair cos you signed up to the euro thingy and now your ass is grass and we’re a lawnmower.
But the MPs in their vote won an overwhelming vote against, with only 22 jerks voting for.  There was even salacious talk about,
SOVEREIGNTY.  Well I never.

So for now the lawnmower is outta gas but lets not breath too easy yet. Those bastards in Europe are building an empire of a different nature from the old one that worked well when the Brits ran things.

Here’s the story and link to it all written by qualified journalists who aren’t using bad language or getting all worked up.  This fight isn’t over yet.

Prison votes backlash: Fury as Europe tells us it is ‘deeply disappointed’ after our MPs take historic decision to reject ruling by human rights court

Last updated at 1:51 PM on 12th February 2011

The body that oversees European human rights law angered MPs last night by attacking their decision to reject demands to give prisoners the vote.
The Council of Europe said it was ‘deeply disappointed’ by the defiance of Parliament and had expected better from one of Europe’s oldest democracies, which it said must ‘abide by its international obligations’.

Despite the outburst, David Cameron told colleagues he would rather pay compensation to prisoners banned from voting than try to pass legislation that had no chance of getting through the Commons.

The Prime Minister will scrap plans to introduce a Bill later this year responding to rulings on prisoners’ votes from the European Court of Human Rights, unless an acceptable compromise can be reached that satisfies his MPs.
He is also expected to announce within weeks that the Government is setting up an independent commission to draw up plans to rebalance human rights laws by creating a new British Bill of Rights.

Government legal advisers have been asked to consider all options following the historic Commons vote on Thursday night which insisted on Britain’s sovereign right to make its own laws.
Senior Liberal Democrats have made it clear they would leave the Coalition if there is any suggestion that Britain pulls out of the 60-year-old convention on human rights.

MPs prompted an unprecedented stand-off between Parliament and the ECHR by voting to maintain a 140-year-old ban on convicts taking part in elections.
The court has ruled that disenfranchising prisoners breaches the European convention on human rights and threatened big compensation payouts. Lawyers branded ‘vultures’ have filed claims on behalf of as many as 2,500 convicts.

MP, Priti Patel said: ‘This is a shameful attempt by Europe to censure the democratic will of the House of Commons.
‘Most British people already distrust European institutions trying to meddle in our lives and the attitude and the contempt PACE is now showing to the democratic decision yet again shows how out of touch Europe is.

‘Instead of posturing and trying to bully Britain, it should respect the view of democratically elected MPs.’
Former Conservative shadow home secretary David Davis, who proposed this week’s cross-party motion, said: ‘It is about time the Council of Europe made the court honour its own international obligations. Instead, they’re extending way beyond what the treaty was originally intended to deliver.’
Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg acknowledged that the Government was caught in a dilemma.

Come over and join in me soft-touch Britain, says foreign squatter. And so they did. Look at this.

Here’s another story on the subject of how easy it is to squat on another’s property, here in squatters paradise.
The reason I’m posting this is because there’s a somewhat newer twist.

There are something like 14 or 15 photos that go with this article.

At first, when I read the hard copy this morning I was really angry with the slobs. Still not happy with them but, the reason they’re here and doing what you will read and see for yourself is .... the UK system of law that makes it so easy.  Called “Squatters Rights” I do believe. If wrong, Lyndon will correct me I know.

These folks are enabled and indeed encouraged by a lax and outdated system. They’ve no money we know of and no worries about the law (which I believe they know) or anyone coming after them with a gun.  So then, anyone surprised that they’re “Doin’ what comes naturally?”

This sort of thing could of course be stopped dead in it’s tracks very quickly. Take em out, tie em to stakes and burn slowly to the music of Spike Jones playing “My Old Flame.” Make a video, with sound naturally, and distribute to those places where they come from. In fact, make it public enough so that any would be squatters would know the eventual price of their (brief) squat.
No need then for court time, no need for lawyers and appeals and judges having to pontificate. The savings in legal fees alone would be well worth it.

Oh yeah, I’d also send a bill to their home countries for waste disposal.

Come over and join in me soft-touch Britain, says the Latvian who traveled 1,500miles and ended up squatting in a £6m mansion

By Paul Bentley

With its ten bedrooms, marble bathrooms and modern high-spec kitchen it is a property fit for a top executive or celebrity.

But yesterday it was home to 30 Eastern Europeans who flocked 1,000 miles to London when they heard how Britain was such a soft touch for squatters.

The gang of immigrants are living for free in the £6million former home of an ITV boss in North London.

They left their home countries and moved in after friends told them the rights of squatters are so entrenched in the UK that it would be ‘almost impossible’ to force them out.

Many of the young foreigners, mainly from Latvia, Lithuania and Poland, broke through a window of the mansion on Boxing Day and have put up legal notices claiming it is their ‘right’ to stay.

They have plastered the property with posters threatening to prosecute anyone who enters without permission.

The ten-bedroom house in Highgate was owned until July last year by John Ormerod, 61, a director of several leading UK companies who also chairs the audit committee at ITV, and his wife Pamela, a magistrate.

The warning posters, on the door and windows, read: ‘Take notice. That we live in this property, it is our home and we intend to stay here.’

Once finely decorated, the house now resembles a refugee camp, with the 30 squatters, many of whom are jobless, littering the floors with rubbish and smoking drugs freely.

The gang, aged from 19 to 50, have been given a court order to leave by January 19, but they boast about their intentions to stay on – if they don’t upgrade to a bigger home nearby.

It was a Latvian calling himself ‘Jason Ruddick’ who first broke into the house. He had travelled to London because he had heard it was easy to live in mansions for free in the UK.

Some of the bedrooms have marble en suite bathrooms and Jason, who moved to the UK a year ago, has set up a makeshift office in one.

The jobless 21-year-old said: ‘I knew before I came that people live in squats and have legal protection.

‘Here we have heating and electricity all for free. The bills come in the post but they are addressed to the old owners. We don’t pay them.

‘There are four floors in the house. Ten bedrooms. There are three bathrooms with bathtubs and showers, a kitchen with all the cooking facilities, heating – and all the utilities are on. And there is a big garden with a swing. It’s really expensive to live in such a big house if you have to pay for it. But in the UK we get everything for free. Even food.

‘We always have a full fridge. We go to Iceland and get all the good food from the rubbish bins. It’s called “skipping”. We get sausage rolls, pies and beer from there. When one can is damaged they throw out the whole pack. It’s easy. I like it in Highgate. The area is nice. It is close to Hampstead Heath. If they make me leave I will find a bigger place in the area.’

Jason is from the Latvian capital of Riga, where he also did not work.

He said he chose to come to England because in other countries squatters are routinely arrested and hauled before the courts.

‘Here I can live in a big house for free,’ he said. ‘I was the first one here but I told all my friends about it. We tell everyone back home about it.’

More Prison Idiocy

But the name of the prison is funny in America, and seems to fit both the crime mentioned and the philosophical ideas in play here.

No Money Awarded To Jailed Rapists Who Were Not Allowed To Vote

Oh, the huge manatee!! Oh noes!!!

Two sex offenders held at Peterhead Prison who were prevented from voting in European elections have had their claim for compensation rejected.

Robert Greens and another unidentified inmate had taken their case to the European Court of Human Rights.

The court agreed the prisoners’ rights had been “infringed”, but did not award them any damages.

UK law currently prevents prisoners from voting, although ministers have accepted the law must be changed.

The European Court has given the UK government six months to amend the current laws.

Robert Greens, who was convicted of raping a Dutch student at Rosslyn Chapel near Edinburgh in 2005, and another prisoner, referred to as MT, were refused the vote in the 2008 European Parliament elections.

The issue stems from a case brought by convicted killer John Hirst, who challenged the view that prisoners be denied the right to vote.

Hey, catfish face! How about, prisoners are denied the right to breath? You’re the lowest form of human slime, you don’t have any rights at all and ought to be drawn and quartered!

In their ruling, judges said it was a “cause for regret” that in the five years since the Hirst ruling, no amending measures had been brought forward by the UK government.

They added: “The court notes that it will be for the United Kingdom government in due course to implement such measures as it considers appropriate to fulfil its obligations to secure the right to vote in compliance with this judgment.

“In the circumstances, it considers that this may be regarded as providing the applicant with just satisfaction for the breach in this case.”

Despite refusing the prisoners compensation, the court did order the state to pay the applicants 5,000 euros to cover costs and expenses.

And with any smarts, the UK will continue to ignore this latest drivel as well. Prisoners voting? Balderdash! Compensation for their trying to game the system? Utter rot! Bloody Belgians telling us what to do in our own country? Sod off mate!

It’s little moments like this that give me hope that altogether everything is not completely lost over there.

BUDDHIST PRISONER SUES OVER MEAT.  just more proof how screwed up things are.

I caught this short blurb and have the need to share. As always.  Possibly my only post for today.

The European Court of Human Rights has ordered the Polish prison service to pay a Buddhist prisoner $3,500 in compensation for failing to provide him with vegetarian meals.
In its ruling, the Strasbourg based court said that by serving meat with his meals, the prison service had violated the religious freedom of Janusz Jakobski, a convicted rapist.
The prison service says that Jakobski, a convert, had previously claimed to be a devout Roman Catholic who fought to have a cross in his cell.

Does anyone besides my brilliant self get the feeling this guy is playing the system?
I mean, it isn’t out in the open obvious, is it? One would have to be a rocket scientist like me to pick up on that cleverly hidden fact.

Hey, the guy is a rapist. Period. He shouldn’t have any rights whatever. And by the way, there was an article recently, no more then a line or two actually so not even an article, wherein it claimed that in some interviews done with prisoners on the subject of rights, the inmates are laughing themselves silly at what they can get away with and how easy it is to get officialdom to “jump through human rights hoops.”

So lets hear it for the European court and the marvelous systems that dispense hilarity for criminals everywhere, and shed a tear for ‘justice’ which apparently has gotten lost in the shuffle.

free speech in europe … so long as it’s approved

I think this video is one of his best and it is spot on.
There isn’t anything for me to say that would make this any more correct or informative.  But I’m not certain yet that what he sees as an end to the multi-culture nightmare is actually over.  Or for that matter, political correctness.

There is a disturbing thing here I’ve been aware of for awhile and hadn’t thought a lot about till more recently.  It is the willingness of some people, almost always the more liberal and left, to squeal on other people.  Say something critical and say it with distaste in regard to Gypsies, muslims or any group or religion, and there will be some snot nosed wimpy weakling who will happily run to authorities to report your utterance.  Remember the kid in school, there was almost always one boy or girl who ran crying ... teacher, teacher .... Tommy said this or Mary did that.  Well they are all grown up now, they haven’t changed and they seem to prosper here in England.  Not to say we don’t have more then our share in the USA as well.
Not exactly a happy thought.

sovereignty and the european union … what sovereignty?  the eu gravy train rolls on …

OK this may bore some of you but ... pay heed.  This is what eventually happens when a country signs away it’s sovereignty by joining a world order.
Can you in the USA actually say with absolute assurance and not a chance in a million of being wrong, that some day in the far future as in when even we’re gone from the scene, that the UN won’t come up with something like this.  So it’s a bit far fetched at this point in time but Brits never saw this coming either, way back when. Not to say even this will actually take place as written, but just that there is a chance of it. And make no mistake whatever, these stuffed shirts in the EU printing their own money. They have a gravy train powered by their member states.

Oh wait ... something else to share from the same source. That being the masters in Brussels.

Museums here might have to stop giving free access to local people because EU rules say the policy discriminates against other Europeans. One city council has already been told it is discriminating against other EU nationals by giving preferential treatment to locals. Either ALL people must be allowed in free, or ALL people must be charged.  And just to show you folks how far this kind of thing can go and has gone already; The European court has ruled AGAINST Italy for allowing passes to museums for old age pensioners.

Please think well on these things America, as some of our poo-baas back home favor locking arms in solidarity with Europe in more ways then one.

EU to target individuals in exchange for retreat on budget

By James Chapman And Tim Shipman

The European Parliament has launched a controversial new power grab, demanding the right to make tax raids on Britain.
MEPs said they would approve a 2.9 per cent rise in the Brussels budget – demanded by David Cameron rather than the 6 per cent originally proposed – but only if they get powers to raise taxes.

At present European funds come from member state governments but now the European Parliament wants to tax individuals across Europe directly to pay for its pet projects.

Questions to be asked: David Cameron is said to be ‘extremely staunch’ with regards to EU plans to tax individuals
The demands, quickly labelled outrageous, have plunged negotiations over this year’s budget into deadlock.

The Prime Minister held emergency talks with his counterparts from France, Germany and Italy yesterday to face down the demands. Mr Cameron broke off from the G20 summit in Seoul, South Korea, after Brussels tried to impose a string of conditions if it gives up the 6 per cent budget increase it wants next year.

The Prime Minister said Nicolas Sarkozy, Angela Merkel and Silvio Berlusconi had been ‘extremely staunch’.
Eurosceptics warned that the audacious bid to tax individuals is evidence that Eurocrats are still determined to seize new powers from member states.

Mr Cameron said he would be ‘perfectly content’ if MEPs – who voted by a huge majority for an inflation-busting 6 per cent rise – kept on refusing to back the 2.9 per cent deal. The European Parliament must vote again on the limited increase, which will still cost the British taxpayer an extra £435million, while the European Council, made up of EU leaders, also has to agree.

If the Parliament refuses to accept a 2.9 per cent increase, the EU would have to make do with last year’s budget – paid month by month – until an agreement can be reached.

The Brits are losing their country and culture one EU court decision at a time.

This wasn’t available when I posted the story yesterday. Since then, I have discovered that some American states do in fact allow for prisoner voting. So I guess the UK isn’t unique. Unless you ask what took em so long?

This killer became a jailhouse lawyer and this is the result.

Here’s what you need to know about the scum ....

Hirst killed his landlady, Bronia Burton, 69, hitting her seven times in the head with an axe when she asked him to go outside and fetch coal for the fire.

He denied murder, but pleaded guilty to manslaughter by reason of diminished responsibility.

And just so ya know, he’s a free man today. Diminished responsibility my sore butt.  He stole her future right to vote btw. Wonder if that might figure into the mix. Nah ... not when do good lefty libtards make the rules.

A couple of comments from the Daily Mail Mail.

The Brits are losing their country and culture one EU court decision at a time.

Why! Why! Why do we keep allowing foreigners to tell us how to run our country.
We fought two world wars and lost millions of lives in order that we should be allowed to govern ourselves and create our own laws. We have finally succumbed.

the west continues to see no evil as Wilders goes on trial, meanwhile we have a high alert in effect

Hells bells I guess this case may never end as the bed wetting , muslim appeasement, we love our muzzies , Dutch pc authorities continue to go after Mr Wilders.
And of course they should.  Who the heck does Mr. Wilders think he is, spouting off and being critical of members of the ROP. Where did he suddenly get the idea that free speech and voicing opinions or even reporting on what he sees, could be done without first getting co-operation and permission from muslims, on whose good graces Dutch freedom now depends.  And guess what?  With the present govt. accepting the new laws that were passed by the previous leftist govt. with regard to what ppl can and can not say without being sued or charged with harassment, folks here may as well learn to speak Dutch. Or Arabic. Or both.

Dutch politicians revolt over burka ban
Christian Democrats are in revolt against their party leaders over plans to ban the burka as part of a deal to create a Dutch liberal-conservative coalition government with the support of Geert Wilders, a far-Right leader.

Anti-Islam MP Geert Wilders on trial for inciting racial hatred

Geert Wilders, the Dutch anti-Islam MP who will become a shadow partner in the next Dutch government, has gone on trial accused of inciting racial hatred against Muslims.

The controversial politician risks up to a year in jail or a 7,600-euro (£6,600) fine for calling Islam “fascist” and likening the Koran to Hitler’s Mein Kampf.
Wilders, 47, is charged with five counts of giving religious offence to Muslims and inciting hatred and discrimination against Muslims and people of non-Western immigrant origin, particularly Moroccans.
In comments made between October 2006 and March 2008 in Dutch newspapers and on internet forums, prosecutors say that Wilders described Islam as “the sick ideology of Allah and Mohammed” and its holy book as “the Mein Kampf of a religion that seeks to eliminate others”.
Among the exhibits is Wilders’ 17-minute film, “Fitna”, alleged to depict Islam as a force bent on destroying the West and whose screening in the Netherlands in 2008 prompted protests in much of the Muslim world.
Wilders arrived at the Amsterdam district court minutes before the start of the hearing.

Mr. Wilders doesn’t have to say or do anything to inspire fear and or hatred or both as concerns this particular murderous group of sub humans.

I just can not imagine what has got into Mr. WIlder’s mind.  Gee, could it be things like:

Our threat level remains at severe - meaning that an attack is highly likely.

Or maybe things like this:

Indonesian women caned for selling food during Muslim festival of Ramadan

This is the moment two women were publicly caned in Indonesia’s staunchly Muslim Aceh province on Friday for selling food.

Well gosh.  I just don’t understand why the man is so hateful and critical of a religion that is so merciful and so understanding and so peaceful.
Can you?

Foreign Office warns of high terror threat in France and Germany

Britain followed the US in upgrading its travel advice for Europe today following a series of terror alerts.

The Foreign Office warned that there was a ‘’high threat’’ of attacks in countries including France and Germany, rather than the ‘’general threat’’ previously identified.

The move came shortly after the State Department issued guidance urging Americans to be vigilant when visiting Europe, highlighting the ‘’potential for terrorists to attack public transportation systems and other tourist infrastructure’’.

“Attacks could be indiscriminate, including in places frequented by expatriates and foreign travellers.”
The warnings have been heightened after intelligence officials in Britain intercepted a credible al Qaida-linked terror plot last week.

The planned attack would reportedly have been similar to the deadly commando-style raids in Mumbai, India, two years ago, with other European cities, in France and Germany, also targeted.

“US citizens should take every precaution to be aware of their surroundings and to adopt appropriate safety measures to protect themselves when travelling,” the department said.

Hey, I take that last bit personally. In fact, I take all of it personally.

You just know the world is a very mad place with stuff like this accepted as a matter of normal course. And of course as Spain is an EU member and the rocket scientists at the EU know all things .... well it just follows that what the EU says, Spain must follow.

I mentioned this the other day but didn’t post the story as other things got in the way ....

Remember when I thought I found the Moonbat Award for the whole year believing nothing could be dumber then Sense of humour failure: Council slaps ban on mother-in-law jokes for being ‘offensively sexist’
I was sure that took the prize.  Well not so fast there P.  This one might trump that earlier entry, although that one still deserves to be remembered as Moonbat stupid.  But take a look at this one.

Spanish fathers entitled to breastfeeding leave

Europe’s top court has declared that working fathers in Spain are entitled to take ‘breastfeeding leave’ everyday, even if the mother of the child is not employed.

By Barney Henderson

The new legislation means that both the mother and father are allowed to leave work for an hour during the day or reduce their working day by half an hour during the first nine months following the birth of a child.

The European Union Court of Justice in Luxembourg ruled on Thursday that the Spanish law caused an “unjustified discrimination on grounds of sex” because fathers do not have the same rights as mothers.

Fathers are currently only allowed to apply for breastfeeding leave if the mother is employed full time.
The Spanish man who challenged the law, Pedro Manuel Roca Alvarez, said his request to take breastfeeding leave from his job in Galicia was rejected because the mother of his child was self-employed.

The top court said such a refusal could have the effect of forcing self-employed mothers to limit their work because the father cannot share the burden.
Not giving dads the same right as mums in this case “is liable to ... keep men in a role subsidiary to that of women in relation to the exercise of their parental duties,” the court ruled.

Breastfeeding leave should now be considered as “time purely devoted to the child” in order to reconcile family life and work after maternity leave.

idiots of the left on parade …

I’ve named this, Idiots on Parade for good reason.  Also, I could not think of another title but I can live with this.

Look at what President Sarkozy has to put up with.  And why?  I’ll tall ya why.  Because he has rounded up and deported 1,000 ILLEGAL Romas in the last 30 days.

The ONLY European politician to state openly that people who do not belong in his country will have to leave.  It’s a shame that France also is paying these scum.
But I guess if it works to a degree ....  Thing is. So many say they will come back.

The idea that these left wing and illegal tramps and thieves can somehow equate Sarko’s actions with Nazi Germany is maddening.  They know better. They’re liars and disingenuous bastards every damn one of em.  (see photo at link above)

Just like the left everywhere in the world but especially in the west which is our concern.  Don’t have any facts?  No problem. Make something up and then rope in dupes and idiots who will believe anything.  Get people with nothing else to do and no sense or knowledge of history to march, shout insults and make things appear as something other then what they really are.  And of course the media just love the pictures.

Maybe what the French should do, since they are being accused of it anyway, is to actually use Nazi methods in the roundups and give these jerks a good taste of what the reality was like in fact.  I’d even go as far as black uniforms and firing squads.  Unless gas is cheaper then bullets as these scum are not worth spending too much on.  Then once that problem is solved, well.

Anyone for muslim clearance?

Europe accuses Nicolas Sarkozy of Roma gipsy ‘witch-hunt’

Nicolas Sarkozy has been accused by European politicians of carrying out a “witch-hunt” against Roma gipsy migrants following the expulsion of 1,000 gipsies from France in the past month.

Bruno Waterfield

During a debate in the European parliament, MEPs expressed grave concerns over Mr Sarkozy’s policy or returning the Roma from illegal camps to Eastern Europe.

Social Democrat, Labour and Liberal MEPs will vote on Thursday a European Parliament resolution condemning the French President’s policy to expel Bulgarian and Romanian gipsies.

A draft text expresses “deep concern regarding the recent measures taken by the French government to repatriate and return thousands of Roma EU citizens to their countries of origin”.

MEPs also criticised the European Commission for failing to enforce freedom of movement rights for EU citizens.

Martin Schulz, the German leader of Social Democrat MEPs accused President Sarkozy of carrying out “a witch-hunt against a minority” in order to boost his flagging popularity at a time of economic crisis.

He accused José Manuel Barroso, the Commission President of “kowtowing” to Mr Sarkozy by not enforcing rules allowing EU citizens freedom of movement.

Guy Verhofstadt, a former Belgian Prime Minister and leader of Liberal MEPs, said: “What’s taking place in France is unacceptable, and unfortunately is not an isolated case. Several governments while confronted with the difficulties of the economic crisis, are sliding towards populism, xenophobia, and racism.”

France has expelled more than 1,000 gipsies in the past month, bringing the total this year to more than 8,000. The expulsions have been condemned in France and abroad.

Does not the term, “Illegal” mean nothing to these dummies?  What the hell is it with the kraut, Mr. Schulz , accusing Sarkozy of a witch hunt? What hunt? They’re illegals! Oh, and a “deep concern” regarding French measures protecting their country. We can’t have that. And guys, have you caught on to the use of language with regard to ... “EU CITIZENS?” And who is this Belgian idiot to say what is and is not “acceptable” in a sovereign country?

The Europe-wide backlash against gipsies continued to gather pace after Italian police evacuated and demolished a gipsy camp in Milan that housed 250 Roma in 64 barracks and 35 tents.

Riccardo De Corato, the right-wing deputy mayor of Milan, said that 315 Roma settlements had been dismantled in the city since Italian expulsions of gipsies began three years ago. He said that the Italian policy, imitated by Mr Sarkozy, has reduced the number of gipsies in Milan from 10,000 in 2007 to 1,200 this year.

Last week, Gianni Alemanno, the mayor of Rome said the Italian capital would carry on demolishing dozens of illegally-built shanty camps and repatriating their Roma inhabitants.

A warning from the Vatican.  Muslims will become a majority in Europe.

It isn’t new to anyone I don’t believe.  We know their birth rate is on a par with vermin. Oh, that’s a surprise. But hearing it from the Vatican who also are critical of the move in France to ban burkas and do go on a bit about muslim rights, well.  It’s an interesting admission.  And btw, why do so many of them want to settle in the decadent godless west, where women are free to do as they please, and people are free to argue with authority and even question the churches.  People in the west are even, gasp, free to not believe in any religion and even worse, say so out loud.  All this freedom ....  What muzzie would want that for their children?
This is really an awful place all you true believers in islam.  And oh btw, we eat pork and like dogs. We even have dog shows. And show pigs too. Yeah really.
You’re right.  Go home now while you can still save yourselves from damnation and the insidious temptation of western culture.

oh say ... on the way out, please take the Romas with you. Thanks.

European Christians must have more children or face the prospect of the continent becoming Islamised, a senior Vatican official has said.

By Simon Caldwell
talian Father Piero Gheddo said that the low birth rate among indigenous Europeans combined with an unprecedented wave of Muslim immigrants with large families could see Europe becoming dominated by Islam in the space of a few generations.

“The challenge must be taken seriously,” said Father Gheddo, of the Vatican’s Pontifical Institute for Foreign Missions.
“Certainly from a demographic point of view, as it is clear to everyone that Italians are decreasing by 120,000 or 130,000 persons a year because of abortion and broken families – while among the more than 200,000 legal immigrants a year in Italy, more than half are Muslims and Muslim families, which have a much higher level of growth.”

He said: “Newspapers and television programmes never speak of this. However, an answer must be given above all in the religious and cultural fields and in the area of identity.”

The priest blamed Christians for failing to live up to their own beliefs and helping to create a “religious vacuum” which was being filled by Islam.
He predicted that Islam would “sooner rather than later conquer the majority in Europe”.

EU taxation without representation: but has Britain got what it takes to fight?

Just to show ya how fragile sovereignty can become, an article I skipped over yesterday in both our papers, is a plan in Brussels to have the EU impose taxes on countries and of special interest here quite naturally, Britain.
Under the EU budget commy-sar (italic mine of course), he is going to lobby the capitals of Europe to be given the power to levy it’s own taxes.  Like this place isn’t expensive enough already, or doesn’t have enough red tape now.

The EU already has it’s own courts, currency, laws, and it’s expected a foreign policy.
Whatever …. if the other member countries go along with it, it’s their business.
But I surely do hope that should this newest sovereignty nullifying act become law here, the Brits will refuse to go along and tell Brussels to shove it.

EU taxation without representation: but has Britain got what it takes to fight?

This could be yet another moment of national British humiliation. Brussels has made its move in the dead days of August, of course, in the hope it would pass unnoticed.

But some of us have noticed. And the British had better take notice. The European Commission has decided to fire up the powers of taxation given to the EU by the Lisbon Treaty. Thanks to David Cameron’s refusal to fight the transfer of sovereignty the treaty makes, the British people can now be subject to taxation direct from Brussels, with the Commons—indeed, with the Chancellor—having no control over over the tax at all.

Today Janusz Lewandowski, the commissioner in charge of the EU’s £116bn budget, announced he intends to press for a new EU tax. The euro-elite want to be able to get their hands on your money without having to ask your Government even for a perfunctory agreement. All this talk about belt-tightening around Europe is making the euro-elite edgy: they have their luxurious pay and pensions and travel allowances, and all their empire-building to protect, after all.

Britain and every other member state is going through terrible budget turmoil, with spending cuts and citizens furious about increases in taxation—yet now Brussels is getting ready to activate Art 311 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (part of the Lisbon bundle—the euro-elite don’t want to make it easy for you to find it).

It says, ‘The Union shall provide itself with the means necessary to attain its objectives and carry through its policies.’

The ‘means.’ That means money. Your money. Taken away by an unelected single party government (the commission) enabled by politicians over whom the British voters have no political control (the council). The British will have to pay the tax these people demand, but can never vote them out. The commission wants to start with a tax on all bank transactions, or perhaps air travel. It doesn’t really matter which. Their point now is to establish the power of Brussels to tax the populations of the countries of the EU without any control by national parliaments. Once that power is in place, the taxes can be ratcheted up.

There you have it, people forced to pay taxes by people they did not vote into office, and whom they cannot vote out of office, and over whom they have no control.
George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Paul Revere, a lot a determined men on board a tea ship in Boston Harbour, a lot of other brave men at a green in Lexington, and plenty other men with much to lose, all decided long ago they would not tolerate such a thing. They could not tolerate taxation without representation.

Question: will the British tolerate it? Or will they let themselves be humiliated in a way that even the small ragtag population of 13 British colonies would not allow in 1776?

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
