Maybe you don’t think you can trust the voting machines. Maybe you think the vast number of fraudulent voters are going to put the fix in. Maybe you think it’s not worth it either way, because John McCain is no Fred Thompson. Maybe you’ve just been beat down by the never ending polling, the incessant Obama ads, and the entire media, bar one, in the tank for the Obastard. But you can’t help win it if you’re not in it. Fight the ennui. Get back on your feet. Do your duty and vote.

Besides, this story over at the Rott says certain polls and insider info show that it could still be a McCain blow out!

New Definitions

I caught 10 seconds of Geraldine Ferraro on Fox News this morning, explaining why the Democrats need to raise your taxes. To build schools, repair infrastructure, etc. “You can’t do these things if you keep cutting everyone’s taxes. There would be no money for anything.”

And then out it comes ... “It’s not like we want to take all your money. That would be Socialism.”

Um, no Geri, that would be slavery.

Interesting - frightening - way this woman has of expressing her views. Cutting taxes is the same as getting rid of taxes altogether, but 100% taxation is just Socialism. Hey, I understand a bit of exaggeration to make your point, but this is so extreme that it’s binary. All or nothing. And she’s the Dem who’s the outsider these past few months.

A Taste of Things To Come?

Journalists from three major newspapers that endorsed John McCain—the Washington Times, the New York Post and the Dallas Morning News—have been booted from Barack Obama’s campaign plane for the final leg of the presidential race.

The Washington Times reported Friday that it was notified of the Obama campaign’s decision Thursday evening—even though the paper has covered Obama from the start.

Executive Editor John Solomon told FOXNews.com that the Obama campaign said it didn’t have enough seats on the plane, but “I don’t think the explanation makes sense to us.”

“We’ve been traveling since 2007 with him. ... We’re a relevant newspaper—every day we break news,” Solomon said. “And to suddenly be kicked off the plane for people who haven’t covered it as aggressively or thoroughly as we are ... it sort of feels unfair.”

He said the newspaper protested but was turned down again by the campaign.

“I can only hope that the candidate who describes himself as wanting to unite the nation doesn’t have some sort of litmus test for who he decides gets to cover the campaign,” Solomon said, noting that the Obama campaign’s decision came just two days after the paper endorsed McCain.

According to the Web site The Drudge Report, the three newspapers’ reporters were told to find alternative transportation by Sunday so that the plane could accommodate “network bigwigs” and reporters from two black magazines, Essence and Jet.

Via the Washington Times:
“This feels like the journalistic equivalent of redistributing the wealth. We spent hundreds of thousands of dollars covering Senator Obama’s campaign, traveling on his plane, and taking our turn in the reporter’s pool, only to have our seat given away to someone else in the last days of the campaign,” said Washington Times Executive Editor John Solomon. News organizations typically pay campaigns for the cost of traveling on the candidate’s planes.

The Washington Times endorsed Mr. McCain on Tuesday.

“I hope the candidate that promises to unite America isn’t using a litmus test to determine who gets to cover his campaign,” Mr. Solomon said. ”

or maybe not? Looks like McCain has played a similar game himself.

Dallas Morning News Editor Bob Mong told FOXNews.com that the “indication” from the Obama campaign was that they were kicked off the plane since they don’t represent a national outlet and they don’t represent a swing state.

“We argued that [considering] the size of the Morning News and stature, we obviously would want to be on board,” Mong said. “We’re obviously not happy about it, and continue to protest.”

He said, in fairness, that the McCain campaign recently pulled Morning News staff off the Republican’s plane when space became an issue—but he said the Morning News would be back on McCain’s plane again this weekend.

Obama is not the only candidate to play hardball with the press. McCain’s campaign has reportedly barred Time columnist Joe Klein and New York Times columnist Maureen Dowd, who have been critical of the Republican candidate, from the Republican candidate’s plane.

Well, I’d say banning Klein and Dowd is understandable. “critical” is the understatement of the decade with regards to them. And Mong’s case was obviously temporary and due to actual overcrowding.

the REAL William Ayers

I bought up the subject of what’s going to happen after we take over the government. We, we become responsible, then, for administrating, you know, 250 million people.

And there was no answers. No one had given any thought to economics; how are you going to clothe and feed these people. The only thing that I could get, was that they expected that the Cubans and the North Vietnamese and Chinese and the Russians would all want to occupy different portions of the United States.

They also believed that their immediate responsibility would be to protect against what they called the counter-revolution. And they felt that this counter-revolution could best be guarded against by creating and establishing re-education centers in the southwest, where we would take all the people who needed to be re-educated into the new way of thinking and teach them… how things were going to be.

I asked, well, what’s going to happen to those people that we can’t re-educate; that are die-hard capitalists. And the reply was that they’d have to be eliminated. And when I pursued this further, they estimated that they would have to eliminate 25 million people in these re-education centers. And when I say eliminate, I mean kill. 25 million people.

I want you to imagine sitting in a room with 25 people, most of which have graduate degrees from Columbia and other well known educational centers, and hear them figuring out the logistics for the elimination of 25 million people.

Information on the Weather Underground has been easily available for 20 to 30 years. And lest you think that this group dissolved in the 60s or 70s, they were still active in 1981, when they robbed a Brinks armored car at the Nanuet Mall in Nanuet NY (not 5 miles from where I was living at the time), killing and wounding several guards and several policemen a short time later. Susan L. Rosenberg was part of that gang and part of this robbery and these murders. She was also part of Ayers team that bombed the Capital in 1983. So was Linda Sue Evans. Both were sent to jail for their crimes, and they would still be there today, but Bill Clinton pardoned these terrorists at the end of his term as President.

Is that why the Weather Underground thing isn’t getting any press attention? Is it old news that doesn’t matter, because Clinton pardoned some of them and because Ayers got off on a technicality? THESE PEOPLE ARE MURDERERS. This isn’t some cutesy-poo “let’s play rebels while we’re in college” bullshit.

But it gets no traction in the media. Fuck no, it gets anti-traction: today the news is that over 3000 college professors, including fellow commies Rashid Khalidi from Columbia, and former University of Colorado Ward Churchill, have signed a petition to Leave Britney Alone!! protest what they say is the “demonization of Professor William Ayers,” asserting that his violent actions as the co-founder of the Weather Underground were just “history.” JUST HISTORY. College professors. Just history: without meaning or context or any possible relevancy to today. No more important than knowing whether it was King John or King William who signed the Magna Carta. These are the people who are teaching your children, at great cost to your bank account:

It seems that the character assassination and slander of Bill Ayers and other people who have known Obama is not about to let up. While an important concern is the dishonesty of this campaign and the slanderous McCarthyism they are using to attack Obama, we also feel an obligation to support our friend and colleague Bill Ayers. Many, many educators have reached out, asking what they could do, seeking a way to weigh in against fear and intimidation. Many of us have been talking and we agree that this one gesture, a joint statement signed by hundreds of hard-working educators, would be a great first step. Such a statement may be distributed through press releases or ads in the future.

ZombieTime has excerpts of Prairie Fire, the Weather Underground manifesto. It is a chilling document. Go and read it. And lest you think that, gosh, this happened 40 years ago when Obama was only 8 so it doesn’t matter, (even though the last of it happened only 27 years ago when Obama was 20) the contents of Prarie Fire are said to be in Sing a Battle Song: The Revolutionary Poetry, Statements, and Communiqus of the Weather Underground 1970 - 1974, a book published in 2006, dedicated to RFK’s assassin Sirhan Sirhan and still for sale at Amazon today. Damned if I’m going to buy a copy just to prove that though. Just two years ago Ayers still believed in his cause enough to republish his manifesto in a new book.

William “guilty as hell, free as a bird” Ayers is an unrepentant terrorist; a communist riveted to the idea of the violent overthrow of America and the forced re-education of her people. Obama’s friend, coworker, and babysitter: a bomb throwing anarchist bent on the violent overthrow of this nation, willing to execute 10% of the population if necessary to force his views down everyone’s throats. This is the guy who baby sat Obama’s children, who introduced him to the political world from his own living room, who shared an office with him for 3 years, who served on several committees with Obama the Community Organizer, who even got Obama to do an endorsement blurb for his kiddie book. He IS NOT simply “some guy from the neighborhood”.

Does this make Obama a communist anarchist terrorist too? No, but it doesn’t matter. As commenter Will Collier put it, while troll stomping over at Confederate Yankee:

God Bless you Will Collier ... you’ve hit the nail directly on the head. Not one citizen with an active braincell and half a lick of common sense should vote for Obama. Not one.

Obama Camp Plans Major Celebration in Chicago on Election Night

Barack Obama took a lot of ribbing for setting up Greek columns on the larger-than-life set of his nomination acceptance speech in Denver two months ago. But at least he knew for certain then that when the ballgame was over—he was going to be the Democratic candidate for president.

Now, with the Nov. 4 general election still 12 days away, the front-running Illinois senator is planning an Election Night celebration that could put his Invesco Field party to shame. A huge stage is being constructed in Chicago’s Grant Park, where Obama hopes to declare victory before a cheering throng that could dwarf the one at the Democratic convention. Back then, “only” 80,000 fans were in attendance that night. This time, it could be hundreds of thousands in the park and its surroundings—closer to Berlin in July than Denver in August.

The Chicago Sun-Times reports the price tag of the fanfare has been pegged at $2 million, to be picked up by the Obama campaign.

Nervy bastage, ain’t he?

Well Said Charlie

Stolen from Vilmar who stole it from Charlie Daniels. This is pretty clear reading. Reminds me of the Comprehensive argument against Barack Obama over at Hot Air, only without the videos. The extensive post at Hot Air shows you that just about every aspect of Obama is false. Charlie Daniels’ essay points out that Obama is just the fin de sicle; Obama is just the sock puppet being moved by the not always unseen hand of Progressivism. And there is a worse thing that could happen to us other than electing Obama. That would be electing Obama and bringing in a super-majority of leftists into DC, and adding to their support by electing lefty state governors, city mayors, town councils, etc. I truly fear for America and I strongly feel that the results of the upcoming election will be with us for the rest of my life.

The Stealing of America

Lest you cherry pickers accuse me of developing a Johnny-come-lately idea due to the political climate, let me say that if you’d care to peruse my soapbox columns of several years ago you’d find that I was saying the same thing.

I have for many years felt that there is a movement afoot in this nation for a handful of elitist left-wing political groups to seize power over every aspect of American life.

Now I know this is not news to you levelheaded thinking people, but the rest of my opinion may be. You see, I think they not only plan on seizing power but keeping it permanently.

Impossible you say with our system of checks and balances and our free election process?

Well let’s take a look.

For the last several decades we have had what is basically an open border with Mexico and politicians from both sides of the aisle have done their best to shove amnesty programs down the throats of a protesting American public.

They absolutely refuse to do anything meaningful to stop the dangerous flow of illegals, under the guise of human decency and wanting everybody to have a shot at the American dream.

This claim, for the most part is composed of the same stuff we dig out of the lot where we keep our bulls. In my humble opinion the reason for laxity on the border is not concern or compassion but a political fallacy being purported on the American public by power-hungry politicians who had no business in Washington in the first place.

Can’t you see what’s happening here folks? The Democrats and moderates aided by wimpy, spineless Republicans in Congress are creating their own voting block, an alliance of undereducated immigrants, welfare families and fanatical fringe groups that seek to change the face of America forever.

We in America are lazy when it comes to taking the time to vote but you’d better believe that these people won’t be lazy. They’ll go to the polls every time they open and vote for the candidate and the party who promises to give them the most.

These people don’t care about democracy. Did Congress listen to the overwhelming opinion of the American people who didn’t want a seven hundred billion dollar government bailout of the banks? They care about power, and if they pull this off I believe we’ll see America fall into a cycle of government entitlements and vote buying that we have never had in our history.

Look around you at the voter fraud going on in this country. ACORN currently has allegations of voter fraud in at least 15 states, and many of those are considered battleground states. Do you think the Democratic-controlled Congress is going to do anything meaningful about it? No, because the illegally registered voters would all be voting for them and their party.

Look at the opaque wall that has been built up around Barack Obama. To mention his hate-spewing pastor of twenty years, his friendship with unrepentant terrorist, Bill Ayers, his association with convicted Chicago slumlord, Tony Rezko, his shady association with Khalid Rashidi - a man who has ties to the PLO, or Obama’s own reluctance to release his college history, the doubt about the validity of his birth certificate and all the other things including his full name are forbidden and any one who tries to do so is branded a racist.

What Obama wants appears to be the Socialist States of America. He says that 95% of Americans will get a tax cut, but I don’t see any way he can keep that promise considering the trillion dollars in new spending he wants. Bill Clinton promised a middle class tax cut too, and how did that work out?

Obama is the purest example of a silver-tongued charlatan. When Obama says he’s not raising taxes on the middle class, what he neglects to tell you is that he and the other Democrats will allow the Bush tax cuts to expire which will result in your taxes going up while promising all along that he won’t be raising taxes. That’s what I call speaking with a forked tongue.

Under Obama’s plan, any person or business making more than $250,000 a year will end up with massive tax increases. The problem is that Obama won’t say if that $250,000 is the gross, net, or profit or personal. He also says that very few small businesses make more that $250,000, but that isn’t the case.

According to a recent report, 70% of small business with more than 10 employees DO make more than $250,000 a year, and not too long ago, in a year when major corporations were downsizing, small business created close to 100% of all new jobs.

In their last debate, both McCain and Obama talked a lot about Joe Wurzelbacher, the plumber from Holland, Ohio who challenged Obama on his tax policies. Joe wants to buy the plumbing company he works for, but that will automatically push him into the over $250,000 bracket, and when Obama knocked on Joe’s door this week in Ohio, Joe confronted him with his tax situation.

He asked Obama, “Do you believe in the American dream? I’m being taxed more and more for fulfilling the American dream.’’ Obama said that he didn’t want to punish him for his success, but he thought that it was important to “spread the wealth around”, and God bless him, Joe told him how he felt about that.

John McCain needs to put Joe the Plumber on the campaign trail to stump for him, because Joe’s not afraid to call Obama what he really is, a socialist.

With Obama’s “Hope and Change”, people will hope they have some change left in their pockets.

This is one big socialistic power-grab, and in my opinion Barack Obama is going to tear this country apart whether he is elected or not.

After all these years I’ll finally have to agree with James Carville on something. If the vote is close but Obama is not elected, I believe we’ll see riots in the inner city streets of America.

If he is elected I believe that on his inauguration day, America will go into what could well be an irreversible tailspin and armed with a Democrat Congress and Senate the damage done to this country could well topple America from it’s long held place as number one on the planet.

The really maddening thing about it is going to be that after their voting block is established there won’t be a single thing Americans who disagree with their policies can do about it.

This situation has been developing over many years and has reached an exponential rate of progress and the America we know and love hangs in the balance.

Louis Farrakhan actually called Barack Hussein Obama “the Messiah”.

But let not your heart be troubled. The real Messiah is still in charge and in a time like this it is so comforting to know that no matter what, God will take care of His own.

Gosh what a non-surprise

Hawaii is dropping the only state universal child health care program in the country just seven months after it launched. Gov. Linda Lingle’s administration cited budget shortfalls and other available health care options for eliminating funding for the program. A state official said families were dropping private coverage so their children would be eligible for the subsidized plan.

“People who were already able to afford health care began to stop paying for it so they could get it for free,” said Dr. Kenny Fink, the administrator for Med-QUEST at the Department of Human Services. “I don’t believe that was the intent of the program.”

Hawaii lawmakers approved the health plan in 2007 as a way to ensure every child can get basic medical help. The Keiki (child) Care program aimed to cover every child from birth to 18 years old who didn’t already have health insurance — mostly immigrants and members of lower-income families.  It costs the state about $50,000 per month, or $25.50 per child — an amount that was more than matched by HMSA.  State health officials argued that most of the children enrolled in the universal child care program previously had private health insurance, indicating that it was helping those who didn’t need it.

Like I said the other day, it’s a basic cost-benefit analysis thing. Why pay for something the government will give you for “free”? And this is exactly what is going to happen under Obama’s health care plan. Faced with a choice between paying for some or all of their employee’s health insurance, or letting the government pay for it, no employer in their right mind will hesitate. Exactly the same thing will happen, only on a scale orders of magnitude greater. And we’ll have instant Socialized Medicine, in which the government becomes a near monopoly in the health insurance business. And that’s not Free Market Capitalism. That’s not Representative Democracy. That’s pure Socialism. Hell, it’s Communism; the government will be taking over a private sector business. It will not be possible to write laws, which pass the Constitutional “equal treatment” test, which force employers that presently provide health benefits to continue to do so, while giving other employees who do not have this benefit the ability to sign up to receive government health insurance for free. Or even for reduced cost. Once the government becomes an insurance agency any citizen can sign up, and will sign up, and the whole health insurance industry edifice crumbles to dust over night.

Your solution to the “health care crisis” is fundamentally flawed, Senator Government. It will not work, period.
