No, It Takes One Person Willing To Push
An observation on life in a communist microcosm.
We live in a condo park. On the ten or so roads in this little village there are 438 housing units in 55 buildings of about 8 units each, with parking everywhere in between. Everyone pays a fat monthly fee to the condo association, and they in turn supply the water, hire people to mow the lawn, plow the snow, collect the garbage, run the pool, maintain the buildings and generally keep the place neat and tidy. Sure, we have a bunch of silly rules (eg these units are all electric, yet everyone must have a CO detector, and the state comes around every couple years to inspect it), but most of the time it’s pretty cool.
We don’t have individual garbage cans. Instead, every other building has a nicely finished wood corral with a 5 yard dumpster inside, and the truck comes around twice a week.
We don’t have individual recycling either. We have commingle, and every other other building has one of those wooden corrals just for recycling. The problem is, down at our end of the village, that 5 buildings share this 1 corral, and inside are just 3 giant garbage can bins and a shelf for newspapers and cardboard. Which are supposed to be cut to size and bundled with string. Sure. In theory. In theory the recycling guys come by every week. In theory. Every Friday.
It’s only Wednesday and the recycling corral is an overflowing disaster. All 3 bins are overflowing, several plastic bags of commingle are on the ground, there is cardboard in willy-nilly heaps all over the place, and loose newspaper everywhere.
We’re all supposed to take care of the corrals, and not make a mess for our neighbors to deal with. Riiiiight.
The truth is that when more than 3 people are responsible for anything, no one is actually responsible for it at all. When it takes a village, or even a good part of a neighborhood, and nobody is watching, it never gets done. One person either has to do the work, or crack the whip.
So when I took our recycling over there this afternoon, I spent a few minutes trying to neaten the place up. Again. There really wasn’t too much I could do; that corral gets too much traffic and needs more carrying capacity. So I took 5 big boxes that hadn’t been broken down or tied up, and set them up on top of the bins to hold even more recycling. I hope that will be enough until Friday. Then I went back inside and called the office, and requested - again - that we get at least 2 more bins for that corral. I don’t see what else I can do.
Come Saturday, I’ll go back out there with a knife, some twine, and a snow shovel to scoop up some of the mess. Again. Seems I do this about every other month. It’s not my job.
On top of one of the heaps of waste paper was a 2011 calendar someone was getting rid of. It was a whole year of piggy pictures, done by Eide and Flynn, who have made a good career out of animal photography. So I took it, and I’m thinking of making up a sign. I can use one of the piggies, which really are adorable. Make it cute, make it funny, and maybe people won’t be insulted. Too much. In theory.
Now, all I have to figure out is how to say “Clean up your effing mess you lame-ass shite-crusted crotch weasel, we’re sick of it!” in a charming and humorous diplomatic manner.

pc health police shut down hospital burger king
This is I gather, what happens in a socialist nanny state. What an outrage.
It is not as though Burger King doesn’t sell salads and other items with less calories and fat. But that aside, there are damn few hospital cafeterias and none in our area, that are worth much. So personally, I’d welcome mouth satisfying food as served by BK. And it isn’t like I eat there every day or even every month.
Why can’t people choose for themselves without having other people decide for them?
And talking about sending out the wrong messages. I have seen a few medical staff who didn’t exactly fit the image of exercise and healthy eating.
I wonder what sort of brainwashed world this new generation born in 2012, will see in 2037 when I won’t be here to see it for myself. And perhaps I won’t want to witness it all and so might be lucky. They’re being born into a world where everything will be proscribed for them. Things will be forbidden but it won’t matter since they won’t grow up in a world where they’ll have the experience of choice.
Pessimistic I suppose but that’s how I see it.
Hospital facing $4.8m cuts forced to pay $31,395 to shut Burger King on its site
Fast food store which opened in 1997 has been replaced by Costa Coffee
By ROB COOPERAn NHS trust paid £24,000 to shutdown a Burger King restaurant inside a hospital.
The outlet in the entrance area of Croydon University Hospital in Surrey has sold burgers and high fat meals to patients for 14 years.
But it was replaced with a Costa Coffee outlet at hefty cost to the taxpayer in December last year following pressure from health campaigners.
The £24,000 ($31,395) cost is enough to cover the salary of lower grade nurse for a whole year. They accused the hospital of hypocrisy for taking money from the fast food chain at a time when Britain is undergoing an obesity crisis.
The Burger King was located close to notice boards promoting healthy eating.
Explaining the decision, Croydon Health Service said the ‘world had changed’ since bosses signed the contract with Burger King in 1997 to open the fast food restaurant.
Figures obtained under freedom of information laws reveal the NHS Trust paid £24,000 to Compass UK - the company operating the fast food franchise - to terminate the contract.
The trust said none of the money would go to Burger King itself.
The hospital has to find £34.7million savings over the next three years and has been forced to axe 200 jobs and close four wards.
Hospital bosses hope to claw back some of the money by opening a new pharmacy in the entrance area.
The decision has been welcomed by Croydon North MP Malcolm Wicks.
The Labour MP said: ‘From the first time I saw the wretched burger joint, I was upset about it.
“The trust said none of the money would go to Burger King itself.”
They make it appear as if money going to BK would be a high crime, and saying that none of the money would go them, makes it look more like an apology. But we’re not giving money to “those people.”
A Labour MP. Tells ya all you need to know. Not that many conservatives don’t deserve a swift kick. The left is ever happy to be outraged or offended on behalf of others and will happily do the thinking for others as well.
‘Advertising and selling fast food, which is generally unhealthy, really grates with what a modern hospital is about.
‘I’ve badgered successive chief executives about getting rid of the thing, so I wouldn’t criticise the hospital for finally taking the right decision, though the costs are substantial.’
Folake Segun from patients group Croydon Shadow Health Watch said: ‘Hopefully the trust will take the opportunity to properly consult with the community before bringing in such companies in the future.’
he original contract was signed in 1997 between the hospital’s landlord Heathcrof Properties and Compass UK.
Croydon Health Service chief executive Nick Hulme said the hospital had never had direct control over what businesses operate in the entrance area.
He said: ‘We made a business decision to invest in this change which will give our patients and visitors a better service.’
Wanna bet? Don’t hold your breath for that. It’s what they always chant. It’s a mantra. Better service, we’ll learn from our mistakes, it’s good for the kids who are our only concern, yadda, yadda. It all translates to, stop thinking for yourself. We know what’s best for you.

Churchill might be more then just dismayed
I said what I wanted to in a previous post, so this one will stand alone.
No explaining needed as you will see.
Mr. Randall has it right, as usual.
And btw .... his column appeared to late for him to mention the latest demand, not passed into law as yet, by the European court he mentions here.
The news lately has been focused a bit on kids not being disciplined or held to any standard, because parents have become fearful of being accused of child brutality for mere spanking. Not talking now about actual child abuse, but where a parent might simply swat a kid’s backside for being naughty. Well, the European court through a spokesman has said that ALL member states (which includes Britain) should immediately make it a crime to spank or use corporal punishment of any sort on any child. Spanking they said, is violence against children and violates children’s human rights. They are as usual full of s***.
What kind of people have we become?Churchill would be dismayed by modern Britain’s capitulation to jackboot egalitarians
By Jeff Randall
Between Christmas and New Year, the 70th anniversary of an event, which in no small way helped change the course of history, passed almost unnoticed. On December 26, 1941, less than three weeks after Japan had attacked Pearl Harbor, Winston Churchill addressed both branches of Congress in the United States. The prime minister, who was in Washington to agree military strategy with President Roosevelt, used the invitation from Senators and Representatives to excoriate the Axis powers and pose a simple question: “What kind of people do they think we are?”
This wasn’t Churchill’s finest oratorical effort, but it was clever. As well as denouncing the forces of darkness and the enormity of their aggression, it was an invitation to ordinary Britons, suffering the horrors of war at home, to reflect on the challenge ahead. He was, in effect, asking fellow citizens: “Of what are we made?”
Seven decades later, one wonders how the great man would view the kind of people the British have become. What has happened to the freedoms and independence for which he urged us to fight? It’s hard to imagine our wartime chieftain being anything other than dismayed by the erosion of sovereignty, capitulation to the “equalities industry” and enslavement by debt. We have lost control of domestic borders, ceded legal primacy to Europe and allowed the Storm Troopers of political correctness to stamp their corrosive version of right and wrong on British law.
For evidence of our self-inflicted abasement, look no further than this month’s ruling from Europe’s Court of Human Rights that Abu Qatada, a radical Islamist preacher, regarded as one of al-Qaeda’s main inspirational leaders in Europe, cannot be deported from Britain to his native Jordan because his trial there might have contained evidence obtained by torture.
According to a recent government report, some 3,775 former foreign prisoners, who were in line for deportation by the UK Border Agency, have been released from custody and are living here, most thanks to Article 8 of the European Convention on Human Rights, the right to a family and private life. A Nigerian rapist was due to be sent home after losing a series of appeals in British courts over his jailing for an attack on a 13-year-old girl. But Strasbourg’s worthies insisted that they must protect the culprit’s “social ties” with Britain, which had blossomed while he defied expulsion.
Are we really powerless to resist this nonsense? It would seem so.
One reason is the complicity of Britain’s home-grown human-rights obsessives and jackboot egalitarians who, in the words of sociologist Peter Saunders, professor emeritus at the University of Sussex, “seek nothing less than hegemony for their moral values and beliefs”. This requires the unconditional surrender of adversaries and the criminalisation of those who dare to oppose. It’s a war of attrition through relentless assaults on popular consciousness by masters of subversion.Their goal, according to Prof Saunders, is “eroding the ideals of independent thought, self-reliance and personal responsibility and replacing them with the language of thought-crime, group rights and equal outcomes”. This is modern Britain, where a foreign-born paedophile cannot be put on a plane back to Pakistan but traditional Christians are arrested for disobliging comments on homosexuality — a triumph of intolerance over faith.
After 13 years of the Brown Terror, ( ref. to the former left wing Labour govt ruled for 13 miserable years , italics peiper ) during which reckless state borrowing and out-of-control consumer debt masked economic and social failure, the Coalition is trying to reverse a pernicious tide of grievance culture and something-for-nothing expectations. George Osborne claims: “We are reducing welfare entitlements, imposing new conditionality on benefits and capping overall awards.”
That, at least, is the aim, but an insurgency of human-rights lawyers, grandstanding bishops and professional do-gooders is defending every ditch. Only this month, a Romanian living in the UK, who claims to make a living selling the Big Issue, but qualifies for more than £25,500 a year in benefits, was told by a court that she was not receiving enough. Despite objections from the local council, she was awarded an additional annual housing allowance of £2,600. Chancellor, please take note.
Do not conclude, however, that the immigrants are to blame for this mess. Who among us faced with a choice between penury in a Bucharest rat-hole and £500 a week in handouts plus a subsidised home would not be on the train to London? The only surprise is that so few are already here.
What’s more, the influx of foreign workers is forcing us to confront a problem which those seeking to blame high levels of unemployment entirely on public-spending cuts would rather ignore. Why does London have the highest rate of youth joblessness in the country when so many services in the capital are underpinned by newcomers?Last week,Pret a Manger, which pays above minimum wage, admitted to the London Evening Standard that only 19 per cent of its payroll is British (in London the figure is far lower). Are we really saying that our education system is so poor and work ethic so diminished that Britain can no longer produce staff suitable for a sandwich shop? That is the conclusion of many business folk to whom I put this question, though they prefer sanitised phrases such as a “deficit of lifestyle skills” instead of the less euphemistic “welfare addiction”.
Given that 70 per cent of Britain’s state-educated pupils do not even take GCSE history, never mind pass it, one can bet confidently that the majority of young people trying to enter a difficult jobs market will never encounter the Churchill question: what kind of people do others think we are?

And Now, The Show Trials Begin
What a load of nonsense and projectionist hypocrisy. Politics at its dirtiest, an episode of smoke and mirrors staged to create deniability that “there side does it too!!!!!!!”
Indiana’s top elections official is himself facing allegations of voter fraud.
Secretary of State Charlie White, a Republican, is in the unusual position of being the person entrusted to protect the integrity of the ballot box, while at the same time fighting seven felony charges involving allegations he registered to vote at his ex-wife’s house and served as a local councilman when he actually lived outside the district.
White has claimed he spent four nights a week living at the home of his ex-wife, Nicole Mills, because his then-fiancee, and now wife, Michelle Quigley White, did not want them to live together until they were married. Mills’ house was inside the Fishers Town Council district that White represented at the time, but he had purchased a condo outside of his district lines to live with his second wife.
White was indicted in March, accused of fraud, perjury, theft, voting in the wrong precinct, submitting a false voter registration change of address and casting a “false, fictitious or fraudulent ballot.”
“Charlie White registered to vote at a place he didn’t live. That was in contravention of the law,” said Karen Celestino-Horseman, a lawyer for the Indiana State Democratic Party, which brought the allegations against White at the Indiana Recount Commission. “It was not his residence.”
“Under Indiana law, when you register to vote you have to have the intent to make that your residence ... but he had already bought a condo,” she told Fox News, saying the condo where he really intended to live with his new wife was not in the council district.
“By not registering outside the district, he was able to stay on the Fisher Town Council and receive $1,000 a month. If he had gone in and changed his registration officially, the Democratic members would have been notified that he had moved out of the district.”
For White, it has been a dizzying journey that, at times, has seemed to leave his job hanging by the proverbial thread. But he has steadfastly maintained his innocence.
What a load of cobblers.
And where is the stalwart GOP in his state? What support is he getting from his party brothers and sisters? Friggin’ Zilch, of course. “Stand By Your Man” is a tune no Republican knows the words to.
Indiana Gov. Mitch Daniels, a Republican, has called on White to resign, something White says he will not do. White has told reporters he has the support of the people, and that his case was known to voters at the time he was overwhelmingly elected.
Whatever happens, the case has already damaged the credibility of the election system, Democratic lawyer Celestino-Horseman said. “Having violated something as basic as the voter registration system does not build confidence in voters, regarding our electoral process.”
Oh boo hoo, the credibility has been damaged because of this. Oh noes!!!!11! GFY ya damn hippie fascist. You’re just as full of it as your masters at the DNC.

Only In Russia
Only in Russia would the outside of a submarine catch on fire. At least this one was docked. And being worked on via wooden scaffolding. No word on whether toxic fumes are being drawn inside the boat through it’s screen doors.

A number of crew members of a Russian nuclear submarine that continued to burn overnight at a drydock are reportedly trapped inside the smouldering vessel.
The Yekaterinburg, one of Russia’s largest nuclear subs, was undergoing repairs in the northern Murmansk region when the blaze broke out late on Thursday.
It quickly spread from the shipyard’s wooden scaffold to the 11,740-tonne vessel’s outer hull, with footage of the incident showing the submarine engulfed in flames.
On Friday morning, fire crews were still struggling to put out the blaze at the Arctic drydock, which is located close to the border with Norway.
It would take “a few more hours” to fully extinguish the smouldering outer rubber shell, which minimises radar tracing, according to emergency situations minister Sergei Shoigu.
The Delta IV class submarine, which was commissioned by the former Soviet Union in 1985, can carry up to 16 intercontinental ballistic missiles and is one of six in a class which form the backbone of its sea-based nuclear defences.
The Interfax news agency reported that the damage from the fire could be so extensive that the submarine would need to be scrapped.
However, deputy prime minister Dmitry Rogozin, who is in charge of the nation’s military industries, said the vessel would rejoin the navy after repairs.
UPDATE: they got the fire out finally ... by dragging the sub out of the dry dock and putting it under the water. Genius solution!
MOSCOW — Firefighters extinguished a massive fire aboard a docked Russian nuclear submarine Friday as some crew members remained inside, officials said, giving assurances that there was no radiation leak and the vessel’s nuclear-tipped missiles were not on board.
Military prosecutors have launched an investigation into whether safety regulations were breached. President Dmitry Medvedev summoned top Cabinet officials to report on the situation and demanded punishment for anyone found responsible.
Daily Mail has a real good cover of the story here, with plenty of pics and sidebar info.

There ya go
From the beginning, Occupy Wall Street was a huge progressive political Lollapalooza, an operation supported by unions and Democrats, planned and coordinated by career anarchists, and populated by students and fellow travelers. It quickly descended into a circus, a freak show, and a crime scene.
The Obama campaign, the Democratic Party, and the media colluded in an attempt to create class war in America in the pursuit of getting President Obama re-elected and ending the momentum of limited government conservatism as embodied in the Tea Party.
READ IT ALL, in staggering detail, at Breitbart. A well done essay, indeed.

IL? Better Than That

Kim Jong Il, North Korea’s longtime leader, has died at 69 of a heart attack, state TV reported on Monday in a “special broadcast.”
State media reported that Kim suffered the heart attack while riding a train on Dec. 17, and that he had been treated for cardiac and cerebrovascular diseases for some time. It said an autopsy was done on Dec. 18 and “fully confirmed” the diagnosis.
“It is the biggest loss for the party ... and it is our people and nation’s biggest sadness,” an anchorwoman clad in black Korean traditional dress said in a voice choked with tears. She said the nation must “change our sadness to strength and overcome our difficulties.”
Kim ruled North Korea with an iron fist for 17 years. He succeeded his father, revered North Korean founder Kim Il Sung, after the elder Kim’s death in 1994. The nation remains one of the last remnants of the Cold War era, and is heavily isolated.
Kim maintained absolute control of his country and kept the world on edge with erratic decisions regarding the country’s nuclear weapons program.
Madeleine Albright is said to be devastated by the death of her hero and has not yet released a statement.

court in Malaysia and big mouth nitwit jesse jackson declare bush blair guilty
Some things are so stupid they amuse, others so stupid they anger.
I’m not too sure what to make of this. I mean, just who are these pipsqueaks anyway?
I’m certain they have no real jobs or profession. Or none they are working in.
Pumped up with left wing importance they pontificate on world affairs, as though they and their little country matter in any big way. And it’s reported here by another one of those folks with a name nobody except his mother can pronounce.
So this is funny. Sort of. They really take themselves quite seriously. Schmucks! woo-hoo. Bush and Blair will be frightened.
Bush, Blair found guilty of war crimes in Malaysia tribunal
By Mahi Ramakrishnan, Press TV, Kuala Lumpur
![]()
Former US president George Bush and his former counterpart Tony Blair were found guilty of war crimes by the The Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Tribunal which held a four day hearing in the Malaysia.
The five panel tribunal unanimously decided that Bush and Blair committed genocide and crimes against peace and humanity when they invaded Iraq in 2003 in blatant violation of international law.
The judges ruled that war against Iraq by both the former heads of states was a flagrant abuse of law, act of aggression which amounted to a mass murder of the Iraqi people.
In their verdict, the judges said that the United States, under the leadership of Bush, forged documents to claim that Iraq had weapons of mass destruction.
They further said the findings of the tribunal be made available to members of the Rome Statute and the names of Bush and Blair be entered into a war crimes register.
Both Bush and Blair repeatedly said the so-called war against terror was targeted at terrorists.
Lawyers and human rights activists present here say the verdict by the tribunal is a landmark decision. And the Kuala Lumpur War Crimes Foundation said it would lobby the International Criminal Court to charge former US president George Bush and Former British prime minister Tony Blair for war crimes.
But this isn’t so funny. This pisses me off on more then one level.
Now then, before Lyndon flames me in the possible mistaken belief that I would defend Tony Blair, rest assured L. that were I to do that, my wife would see it as grounds for divorce and mental instability on my part. No, what bothers me big time is, what damn business is it of that blinking, pompous ass, that disingenuous pc leftist Jesse Jackson, to come here to England and demand that a former Brit Prime Minister (no matter who he is) be tried in some court for war crimes.
No American has any god damn right to come here and do that and I don’t even care were that American a right wing conservative. What is not our business is best left to Brits. Being critical on blogs of crime in the streets and how justice is administered or as usually the case, is not, is fair game. They do it to us too. But what this country doesn’t need is some would be head of state (now that’s a horror story worthy of Stephen King) coming here and giving a speech passing his lefty legal judgement on a former PM. Or any other elected official. If it bothers me when foreigners do it to us (USA) it also bothers me in this case.
Jackson addressed a conference on radicalisation at a university yesterday.
The ignorant big mouthed bag of poo said that “killing innocent civilians with unmanned drones was an act of terrorism the same as suicide bombings.”
I wasn’t aware btw, that Britain used any drones in Iraq, and the way this lying bastard speaks, one would get the impression (entirely mistaken) that civilians were a prime target.
Things must be slow for Jackson in the USA. I guess he had to come here for an audience that would listen.
There’s a word for Jesse. Isn’t there?

AMERICA - CHINA - INDIA WILL BE FORCED BY NEW AGREEMENT ON CLIMATE CONTROL
I am so tired of this subject but.
Now it’s closer to home (USA) because apparently America is on the Euro-weenie climate bandwagon. OK I know we always have been. But I just didn’t expect this, this soon. Not very observant of me perhaps. But considering who is in the White House, and the nest of vipers on the left, I should have expected it even sooner.
God, how I hate the idea of us co-operating with those zealots. And I think you all must know it’s going to cost us all a lot more as well.
But be careful. You know what happened to people in the past who didn’t follow the prescribed religious line. And this is definitely the new religion.
Watch out for Torquemada. He wears a suit and tie these days. His many adherents can be found wearing scruffy jeans and scraggly beards and some wear commie glasses and caps and with their unwashed female friends, can usually be found either occupying some public space with profound slogans on cardboard or else holding hands singing we are the world.
Sorry but these sky is falling climate freaks just annoy me.
see the link below for all the story and the video.
Durban climate change conference: Big three of US, China and India agree to cut carbon emissions
A new deal to “save the planet” will force the world’s three biggest emitters the US, China and India to cut carbon emissions for the first time, although scientists fear it will come too late to stop global warming.
By Louise Gray, Environment Correspondent, in Durban
More than 190 countries managed to finally agree a new climate change deal amid chaotic scenes in the early hours of Sunday morning in Durban, South Africa.
As the United Nations conference overran into its second day it looked like the talks were on the brink of collapse as the EU and India argued over just two words in the text.
In the end the wording was decided in an extraordinary 10 minute ‘huddle’ between the exhausted ministers to decide the fate of future generations.
The ‘Durban Platform’ will commit all countries to a global deal on cutting carbon emissions by 2015 although it will not come into force until 2020.
The UN marked it as an “historic breakthrough to save the planet”, that makes up for the collapse of the last high profile attempt for a global deal in Copenhagen in 2009.It was the first time that the ‘Big 3’, the US, India and China, that make up almost half of the world’s emissions, have agreed to cut emissions as part of a legal treaty.
“What we have done today is a great success for European diplomacy. We have managed to put this on the map and take the major emitters – the US, India and China – to a road map that will secure an overarching deal,” he said.
The EU has also agreed to a second commitment of the Kyoto Protocol from 2013 as part of the deal so that the world has a legal treaty to cut emissions in place before 2020.

Red Barry Outs Himself
In a speech delivered at Osawatomie High School in Osawatomie, Kansas, on Tuesday, President Barack Obama argued that while a limited government that preserves free markets “speaks to our rugged individualism” as Americans, such a system “doesn’t work” and “has never worked” and that Americans must look to a more activist government that taxes more, spends more and regulates more if they want to preserve the middle class.
“‘[T]here is a certain crowd in Washington who, for the last few decades, have said, let’s respond to this economic challenge with the same old tune. ‘The market will take care of everything,’ they tell us,” said Obama. “If we just cut more regulations and cut more taxes--especially for the wealthy--our economy will grow stronger.
“Sure, they say, there will be winners and losers,” Obama continued. “But if the winners do really well, then jobs and prosperity will eventually trickle down to everybody else. And, they argue, even if prosperity doesn’t trickle down, well, that’s the price of liberty.
“Now, it’s a simple theory,” said Obama. “And we have to admit, it’s one that speaks to our rugged individualism and our healthy skepticism of too much government. That’s in America’s DNA. And that theory fits well on a bumper sticker. But here’s the problem: It doesn’t work. It has never worked.
Go read the rest, and watch the video.
With the economy in the septic tank, the housing market in free fall, unchecked unemployment that only “improves” when the numbers get diddled, rampant cronyism and corruption at all levels of government, the weakest foreign policy in our nation’s history, deliberate and repeated efforts by the government to eradicate citizen’s wealth by devaluing the currency, government control of several major industries, a deliberately moronic fiscal policy, a corrupt justice department arming criminal gangs, laundering drug money, and selectively enforcing only the laws they approve of, an entire political party supporting gangs of unwashed urban anarchists “occupying” cities left and right, it’s no surprise that Obama’s poll numbers are falling like lead balloons. He’s backed into a corner and under the kind of pressure that no amount of golf or another extravagant vacation at taxpayer expense can cure. And under that pressure, the real Obama comes out. And here it is.
The GOP could run an otter as their candidate and still win; this speech should be all the campaign strategy they’d ever need. Of course, they’d have to explain what it meant, as most citizens under 40 don’t have a clue about either freedom or tyranny. Or history, or why capitalism made us the richest country in the history of the world, at all levels of society.
It does not matter one whit whether you call it communism, socialism, national socialism, progressivism, or fascism. Minor shades of difference; they’re all highly similar at the core. They all focus on an all-powerful government that controls and regulates ever aspect of everything. They all believe in rule by a small core of superior elites, and everyone else is a serf. That’s what Obama is in favor of. That’s what he’s about. Then, now, always. Always was, always will be. He considers the USA to be fundamentally flawed, right down to the Constitution. He even said as much during the 2008 campaign, but no one actually listened. They were too busy fainting over a clean, articulate, nice looking black man with only a minor criminal record. They said that too, and nobody listened either. And ignored that his entire social world, from childhood on up, was a circle of anarchists and communists.
The President of The United States of America is a Red.
And here it is, in his own words.
Fundamental Change, indeed.
Impeach him.

anarchists try and fail as cops react swiftly this time around. sadly, anarchists still alive.
Here we almost went again but this time, the cops did what cops are paid to do.
If I have any gripe it’s only that they didn’t use deadly force. The only real way to contain and defeat these slimy commie anarchists.
I wonder how long it will be before openly stating extreme hatred for this group will be declared a hate crime.
One of the people making comments at the end of the article said exactly what I thought when seeing the hard copy photo.
A rent a commie is what he said while I looked at it and thought he resembled Trotsky or maybe a young version of Lenin. I simply saw commie all over the creep. I think you will too when you see the link. Really. They just seem to have an identifiable look about them. Right out of central casting.
Also new to the strike action were London Ambulance dispatchers and paramedics, who had not been on strike since the 1970s.
Most of the banners on display were distributed by the big trade unions - Unite, Unison, the NUT and the PCS.
Right. And not shown here in the on line version for some reason, are the hammer and sickle flags. That’s says a lot don’t ya think?
And as for the slag in the photo here, what a look. Good. I hope it hurt a lot, whatever caused it.

After laying siege to St Paul’s Cathedral for weeks, anarchists hijacked the pensions protest yesterday.

Amid violent clashes with police, members of the notorious anti-capitalist group Occupy London stormed the head office of a FTSE 100 company.
As 25,000 TUC strikers including a strong representation of teachers marched through the capital, the 60-strong gang broke away and forced their way into the West End offices of Xstrata, a multi-national mining firm. The professional protesters got on to the roof of the four-storey building, where they unfurled a banner saying ‘All power to the 99%’ and set off flares.
Some tried to break into the office of the company’s boss Mick Davis to confront him over his ‘excessive’ pay.
In stark contrast to the summer riots, where police were criticised for allowing problems to escalate, hundreds of officers descended on the building within minutes and surrounded the protesters.
One of the demonstrators said: ‘We put the message out on Twitter to meet here. We want to make a stand about the huge pay rise Mick Davis has received.
Also new to the strike action were London Ambulance dispatchers and paramedics, who had not been on strike since the 1970s.

another wealthy celeb joins the movement of idiots
Is this libtard auditioning for a part?
You probably know her. It’s Anne Hathaway, with three different protest signs at the OWS dotty-do.
As an actress, she a public figure. Taking part in something called a “protest” although in truth it’s just more left wing BS mayhem. Anyway, there’s her idiot boyfriend trying to stop ppl taking photos of a well known Hathaway. How stupid. It isn’t like they’re in a private environment. Holly-weirdos.
She has millions she has earned in movies. Great. But it does seem odd how some folks with $$$$ support bolshy ideas.
Surely she’s in the one per cent? Million dollar babe Anne Hathaway joins Occupy Wall Street protestBy J J ANISIOBI
She is one of Hollywood’s highest paid actresses and lives a very privileged lifestyle that 99 per cent of people can only dream of.
Still, Anne Hathaway acted as an average Joe and accompanied hundreds of protestors as she joined the Occupy Wall Street demonstration in Manhattan’s Union Square.
The 29-year-old, who is worth a reported $58 million, was pictured marching with protesters and sticking it to the man yesterday in The Big Apple.
Anne, whose films have made approximately a total of $3,202,600,000, tried to blend in with the crowd by wearing a black hooded jacket, grey hat and sunglasses.
The Oscars hostess held up a sign in support of the campaign that read: ‘Blackboards not bullets’.
Occupy Wall Street is an ongoing protest that began September 17 2011 in New York City’s Zuccotti Park in the Wall Street financial district.
Catch the link for the photos.

SQUATTERS BY ANY OTHER NAMES? DEMONSTRATORS, PROTESTERS
This left wing nut case
who is the leader of the Labour Party ... thinks people should listen to these folks .....
whose years and experience and wizdumb hold all the answers to what ails society.
Ed Miliband: We should listen to St Paul’s protesters
By DAILY MAIL REPORTERLabour leader Ed Miliband today warned of the ‘crisis of concern’ in mainstream Britain brought on by the St.Paul’s Cathedral protesters, which must be addressed by politicians, the business community and the Church of England.
In an article for The Observer, he said that the activists spoke to a wider frustration about the disparity between people’s values and the way the country was run.
He said: ‘The warning lights on the dashboard are flashing. And only the most reckless will ignore or, still worse, dismiss the danger signals.’
Miliband also acknowledged that those camped outside St Paul’s felt alienated from the Britain’s leaders and called for immediate changes in order to alleviate the protestors’ frustrations.
Now why they’re called protesters or demonstrators is beyond me since they appear more like squatters who shout slogans to justify their squatting.
St Paul’s staff have to clean up human waste INSIDE the cathedral as protestors ‘use it as a latrine’Cleric: ‘This is desecration of a very holy place’
By CRAIG MACKENZIEStaff at St Paul’s have been forced to clear up human waste inside the cathedral, it emerged today.
They have made several trips with mops to remove the mess found on a carpet inside the church near the West Steps - just yards from the anti-capitalist protest camp.
One cleric furious at the use of the building ‘as a latrine’ said: ‘ This is desecration of a very holy place. it hurts me and it hurts the staff.’
The cathedral workers have met senior clergy to vent their feelings over the clean-up.
St Paul’s has blamed ‘hangers on’ and not protesters at the tented camp which closed one of London’s most iconic attractions for a number of days last month.
Right. Hangers on. The church has been supporting these squatters and the man at the head of the church, has defended them. Many churchmen have spoken in terms of total appeasement to this rabble without a cause.
But here’s one voice (of many) who have it exactly right.
Everyone’s terribly sweet… but what a festival of drivel!
By PETER HITCHENSEvery crank, dingbat and fanatic in Southern England has found his or her way to the camp by the steps of St Paul’s Cathedral. Given time, every faddist in Europe will arrive.
There are already plenty of North American accents.
Whatever your cause, it has a pavilion here, especially if it is a lost cause. The poor Kurds are represented. There are lots of those infuriatingly smug, self-satisfied Guy Fawkes masks.
There’s a Buddhist shrine next to an arrow marking the direction of Mecca.
Che Guevara, that old mass murderer, has his image on display. There’s propaganda against the ‘persecution of sex workers’. The Socialist Workers Party, those latchers on to every passing procession, have a stall that looks a little too neat and tidy for the occasion.
Bolshevik discipline doesn’t really mesh with the world of Twitter and dope.
As George Orwell once said, such things attract the people he jeered at as ‘sandal-wearers’, ‘nudists’, ‘sex-maniacs’ and ‘vegetarians with wilting beards’ . . . the sort who are drawn to ‘progressive’ causes ‘like bluebottles to a dead animal’.
There really are signs against ‘capitalism’, a word used only by people who still think you can change human nature, which you sort of can if you have concentration camps and an effective secret police.
And there are other placards enquiring rather aggressively: ‘What would Jesus do?’ People who ask this question always assume that Jesus would agree with them. Well, I suppose it’s possible. But what would He agree with, exactly?
Stand here long enough and you will be pinned to the wall, or to a pillar, by lots and lots of nice but rather silly people. There’s the man who thinks we invaded Iraq to punish it for not having a central bank.
They are thrilled to have discovered that the City of London Corporation is so fantastically undemocratic. They had no idea that such wickedness still survived, and that they can be against it.
There’s the slender public schoolboy with the looks of a tragic Thirties poet who, handed a megaphone, emits five minutes of the higher drivel about nothing in particular.
‘We are the people,’ he claims, adding: ‘We have forgotten what and who we are.’ He can speak for himself.
I’m sure that if I had waited long enough, I would have been taken to one side by enthusiasts for flatulent diets, speakers of Esperanto, or persons who think that The Key To Everything is to be found in the measurements of the Great Pyramid.

This one is so easy even the MSM could find it. If they wanted to.
Another “under the radar” Obama “jobs program” comes to light: get paid to be an Occupy Wall Street protester.

ACORN: Puppet Master of Occupy Wall Street
The Working Families Party, an infamous ACORN front group notorious for corruption, was instrumental in organizing the Occupy Wall Street protests, according to radical journalist Laura Flanders of Free Speech TV.
The protests, which have spread to several other large U.S. cities, are part of what ACORN’s neo-communist founder Wade Rathke calls an “anti-banking jihad.”
Working Families Party (WFP) organizer Nelini Stamp has “been here since day one and she is part of the organizing team and the outreach team that has managed to bridge the distance between that first day and this day and between the grassroots folks here and the labor movement,” Flanders said at the protest in lower Manhattan.
The WFP is part and parcel of ACORN. In 1998 the party was officially recognized in New York State. WFP’s headquarters is at the same address as ACORN on Nevins Street in Brooklyn. WFP’s executive director is longtime ACORN operative Dan Cantor.
One of the SEIU-funded party’s co-founders is ACORN’s former national chief organizer, Bertha Lewis. Democratic National Committee executive director Patrick Gaspard also contributed to the creation of the party and sat on its board. Gaspard was a political director in the Obama White House and is a former SEIU executive. Gaspard was also an organizer for the radical New Party in the early 1990s. That party’s membership consisted largely of individuals from the Democratic Socialists of America, SEIU, and ACORN. The party endorsed Barack Obama when he ran for the Illinois State Senate.
Working with its radical friends at SEIU, WFP advocates more government spending, higher taxes, universal government-run health care, campaign finance restrictions, free universal higher education, oppressive rent control, same-sex marriage, amnesty for illegal aliens, “greening” the economy by creating heavily subsidized union jobs in the energy sector, and mandatory paid sick leave for all workers.
Gosh, that mantra sound familiar. I think I’ve heard it sung before, in at least a couple of different places.
SEIU board member Stephen Lerner has vowed to do his part to drive a stake through the heart of capitalism. Lerner says he wants to “bring down the stock market” through a campaign of disruption. He said last week that SEIU plans to terrorize bank executives at their homes.
Looks to me like the hippies are getting paid to take off their sandals bedroom slippers and put on their other sandals marching boots. What a coincidence, huh?
If you’d like, take a jump over to Discover The Networks and see if you can count the number of ways the money trail leads right back to George Soros. Radicals, Reds, and anarchists, oh my.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.
- Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
- Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
- Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
- Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
