Blinks
Here we go again, surfing the blogosphere ....Emperor Misha thinks we need "Freedom From The Press". His post is entitled "To the Press: Shape Up or Ship the Fuck Out!". Damn! I couldn't have said it better myself.
Tom at Alday.Net has the scoop on WMD found recently in Iraq. It's entitled "Warheadapalooza" which sounds like a polka concert but does involve Polish troops. I wonder why I didn't see anything about this on CBS News?
Frank J. is going on vacation but he left an excellent post about what really happened on July 4, 1776.
Kim Du Toit has a thing or two to say about women in combat. As usual, he hits the nail right on the head regarding combat: it's dangerous.
Mrs. Du Toit gives us a course in (argh) taxes and makes a strong argument for a flat tax. I've been advocating that very same thing for decades.
LGF has the lowdown on Saddam's new attorney. Unfortunately, the guys at LGF don't realize that "Moonbat Lawyer" is redundant. This lawyer though, is a prime example of Moonbattery. It's too bad we can't get Hamilton Burger to represent Saddam. He always lost to Perry Mason.
Scrappleface says John Kerry will name himself as his VP candidate. According to Scrappleface Kerry said this choice "not only sees eye-to-eye with me on most issues, but also opposes me on most issues". Obviously.
A new blog (or maybe I just noticed it) is BlameBush.Com. Don't get the wrong idea from the name. They're good guys and they've just put up an excellent post about Bill Clinton's next book. Check out the book title in the picture of Clinton. Mheh-heh-he-he .....
That's all for now. Get out there and surf through our blogroll list. They're all good folks and you will probably get an education as well as an occasional good laugh.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.
- Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
- Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
- Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
- Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
