just one monday morning eye candy to chase away the gloom
After that last mind robbing article I thought a brighter spot on this gloomy (here) and rainy Monday morning was in order.
I happened upon this and liked it.

eye candy
Ran across this in today’s paper and thought it was good enough to share with you. Although I think she is kinda thin. Might look lots better with a litle bit more weight. But then, what dd I know? She claims to be in love with food and sex.

A few days off
Not going to be much posting from me for the next couple of days. I’ve got a window job on a good sized house, and then I have a pair of doors to install. And my usual Sunday work of course. Good thing I spent half of today in the kitchen cooking. Chicken curry, meat sauce, several nice quiches. I’m set.
So here you go ... something to keep you occupied ... majorly clicky clicky but still SFW ...
Hey, it can’t be redheads all the time ya know. Sometimes it’s a blonde, sometimes you just have to wing it.

asian eye candy
If there’s one thing I love besides redheads and blondes it’s brunettes and women in general.
Especially Asian. Can’t explain it, just love em and get all tongue tied lookin at em. Come to think of it, women do that to me anyway.
So then, I haven’t had a chance to post this, been busy and have to return to project today and do indoor painting. I’ve had this on my pc to post for a few weeks and never got to it til now.
btw ... deskbeauty.com not a bad site.

Google has made another one of their neat widgets to remind everyone that today is the 100th birthday of Lucille Ball. Thanks Google!

One For CB

Is it Photoshop, or is it the golabki? Betty Beanpole here, 5’9.5”, 34-23-35, 115lbs, got a sudden case of the curves. What a difference 3 months makes.
“Betty” is actually Olga Kaminska and she has been competing in beauty pageants for 5 or so years now, going from a finalist in the Miss Teen Poland 2006 to winning 2010 Miss European Tourism contest at the World Bikini Model pageant. If that sounds a bit confusing, don’t worry. Both contests are held at the same time, and are sponsored by a small aircraft repair shop in Malta. Seriously.
But somehow, by January, she was the curvaceous centerfold for the Polish Playboy magazine.
Must be that good Polish food, to help a skinny girl fill out so quickly.
Olga works as a model and trade show hostess.

tennis anyone?
Might be away tomorrow, and thought I’d leave tonight with some sort of cultural event for readers to feast eyes on.
What better thing, aside from the Dodgers winning a World Series , then Tennis?
We hardly ever cover sports here. Unless it’s wearing a bikini. Which ain’t a bad thing at all.
I call her the Great Dane. She is:
CAROLINE WOZNIACKI
OKAY ... Here’s the Tennis part.
And here’s the bikini .............

That’s All Folks ....

seeing 20/20
What’s the point of eye candy if you only get one eye’s worth?
First up, we have a very rare sighting of a Scottish mermaid. Note the red hair and the tartan bikini.
Click to get the really large version. What makes this sighting even more rare is that it was done in Hungary. Originally stolen from Theo’s, but I hunted down the sources.
Next up, to show a little solidarity with Norway, here’s a nice picture of Norwegian model Siri Tollerød. Before I found the mermaid, I was going to run just this pic and name the post “The Eyes Have It” because she certainly does indeed.
Clicky picy to majorly embiggenify. Other pictures from that photoshoot can be found here. I’d never heard of Siri before I saw that picture, but once I found her name I found others ... many others. The girl has an amazingly symmetrical beauty. She looks like sculpture brought to life.
So I guess this last picture is for your extra eye. You’ve heard the expression “third eye, blonde” right? Oh wait, that’s a rock band. Never mind.

Scorcher
I don’t know where the thermometer is for the weather gizmo over on the right sidebar. It must be underground to be getting a mere 92° reading. Weather Channel says it’s 101° here, with a heat index of 114. My outdoor thermometer is reading 98° on the afternoon side of the house. When the sun starts hitting that patio it will heat things up to 115° or more I’m sure. And of course this is New Jersey, so the humidity is right up there with the temperature. Which means it’s a sauna outside. Looks like a good day to go to Walmart and just push a cart around for a while in the A/C.
There has to be some good way to cool off ...
update: 102° !!
But gosh, it’s becoming a “dry heat” since the relative humidity is only 41%. Which is probably about a quart per cubic foot of air at this temperature. And we should be grateful it’s so cool here: in New York City it’s 103° and in Newark it’s currently 106°. Holy cow. How did Sante Fe New Mexico get moved to New Jersey?? Dame that Al Gore and his rotten Global Warming.
updated update: 108° in Newark NJ!!
The heat wave that has melted the tri-state for the past week has broken records in New York City and New Jersey, hitting 104 degrees in Central Park by early afternoon and a sultry 108 in Newark.
The heat index was greater than 110 degrees in both New York City and Newark; 108 degrees is the hottest ever on record in New Jersey’s largest city.
It’s the seventh day of the scorching summer heat wave, and the heat is not expected to retreat until Sunday.
The previous Central Park record was 101 degrees, set in 1957.
Crivens!

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.
- Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
- Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
- Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
- Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
