six months to decide a one minute case. where libs and pc have brought us
It took some time to clear up.
Six months instead of six minutes. Or less.
This action, brought on by a father who the paper will not name or show a photo of, which shows you how troublesome this ass wipe is ….
accused a head teacher of a hate crime which then had to be investigated.
The crime?
Words. Only two.
“Special Needs.”
I can’t tell you how many stories I’ve ignored lately that are somewhat similar and in some cases worse due to actual criminal actions.
This one stands as stupid beyond reason and why it was allowed to even go ahead and last for the time it did defies logic.
However, in this country, it only takes one left wing libtard to set things like this in motion. And apparently, the guy who started things moving on this case, has done similar before. No doubt a trouble maker of note, as the paper refuses to name the bastard.
Every so often I ran across something in the past, and would declare I’d found something that would never be topped for ill logic and just plain dumb. Naturally, I always managed to find something else that was more stupid and so quit making that declaration. And I am not making it here because I just know that given time, like maybe 24 hours, something else will come along to top it.
This is what the culture has come to.
(Note: the reference to Governor. For USA readers. That is you may say, the equiv. of PTA) Lyndon? Do I have that correct?
Take a look.
Headteacher is accused of hate crime after saying autistic pupil had ‘special needs’: She’s cleared after six-month police probe
· Pupil said to have been described as ‘special needs’ at governors’ meeting
· Parent complained that the student would find the term offensive
· Police, local council and education chiefs all investigated headteacher
· After no action is taken, she hits out at ‘vexatious’, time-wasting claims
By Christian Gysin for the Daily MailA headteacher endured a six-month ‘disability hate crime’ investigation by police and council bureaucrats because she said an autistic pupil had ‘special needs’.
Janet Felkin, 60, was stunned to discover she had been reported to police after using the innocuous phrase during a governors’ meeting.
The school leader, who was described as ‘outstanding’ by colleagues, was discussing a child with autism when she referred to the pupil’s ‘special needs’, a standard term used regularly within education.
But after minutes of the meeting were posted online, the pupil’s father complained to the authorities, claiming his child would be offended by the phrase.
The father, a parent-governor at Blatchington Mill, a secondary school in Hove, East Sussex, said the child was ‘highly intelligent’ and the use of ‘special needs’ constituted a hate crime.
After fighting the accusations for six months, Miss Felkin has finally been cleared of any wrongdoing. She said yesterday: ‘It is a matter of great regret to me that I have had to spend a great deal of time and energy in dealing with ongoing vexatious accusations from a particular individual.
‘These have led to a series of investigations by different authorities, taking up time that I could have spent more usefully. Throughout this time I have continued to run the school to the best of my ability.’
Miss Felkin, who has more than 40 years’ experience as a teacher, took over as head in 2007. However, colleagues said she had been blighted by a string of complaints from the parent-governor, who the Daily Mail has chosen not to name.
Conclusion. Mine of course.
The daddy ass wipe needs to be disciplined to discourage his continued obstructive bad behavior.
I’d say a Black & Decker power drill in one knee cap should change his outlook considerably. Another problem, another knee cap. But I’d guess one would work quite well.

keep ur eye on this page, back in an hour or two at most.
Too buried in things to explain and it wouldn’t matter anyway. Been away too long but unavoidable.
Anyway ... no time at this exact moment, but ran across about the dumbest most obstructive but usually par for the course pc loony tune from some left wing (no doubt) nut case.
I’ve been trying to avoid these things and have avoided posting them cos they just do not end. But heck, the public here hand these things to us every day with no let up.
You’ll see what I mean in a little while.
Stay tuned to this station.

family dinner
When we were little kids, I always used to try to tell my brother jokes or snappy one liners when he had something in his mouth. Nothing beat cracking him up and watching the milk or toothpaste come shooting out his nose. It was the ultimate brother score.
So I’m up here visiting him and mom for a couple days, doing some heavy lifting tasks neither can do anymore. Today, after a 3 day heat spell, I put the air conditioners in the windows. So naturally it’s getting cold, and we’ll have to use blankets tonight. Tomorrow I get to help rearrange the bushes out in the yard, digging holes for plants and stuff. And carrying boxes of junk out to the garage from the basement. Oh fun!
But tonight we had a nice family dinner, just the three of us. Mom had a frozen kosher chicken, the nice natural kind that isn’t all fat and pumped up flesh. We thawed it out and roasted it with some onions and herbs, and it came out great. I was even Mr. Helpful and made up a nice gravy.
So I get to carve the chicken. Mom wants a drumstick, so I cut one off for her. Cut her a thigh too. Might as well trim the other one while I’m at it. Cut the wings off, one for me, one for the bro. One on each plate. She ladles a scant spoon of green beans onto the plate and takes it out to him. “Here, for your diet.” “Awwww Moooom, can’t I have any meat??” She’s just busting on him, so I get the plate back and go to carve some breast meat. Knife goes down through the skin, and hits breast bone. WTH? Try it again. Skin, bone. This funky chicken has all the breast meat on the side, and almost none up on the bone. So I hacked it off, served him up a plateful, brought it out, and he starts eating. About half a mouthful into it, I tell him that I named the chicken Miley Cyrus. I get a look. I say because it didn’t have much of anything up front, but still managed to show some side boob.
And I almost got him. Another couple of chews and it would have been gravy spew. I was this close.
My mother comes to the table. “What’s so funny?”
“Andrew named the chicken Miley Cyrus.”
“Who is Malice Iris?” she asks.
And it was gravy time.
Family. Ain’t they great?

Tolerance
It’s easy to understand why we tolerate even a hateful bigot like Ms. Grundy, it’s necessary within a pluralistic society. What I don’t understand is why it’s necessary to give a public platform and the status of teacher to such a hateful individual.
Will Boston University now hire a Klansman to maintain the balance of hate?
I mean, that just makes sense doesn’t it? If you’re going to hire a hateful, black female, shouldn’t you also hire a hateful, white male to maintain balance?
How do you like her Twitter handle; lord commander? Think it gives a clue about her?
Personally, I think people like Ms. Grundy (...and Klansmen and Neo Nazis and Jihadis, and....) should be kept in laboratory cages and studied as the nasty and infectious organisms they are. They should be segregated from decent people to prevent further infection while we study them and learn about the real nature of hateful bigotry.
Here are links to some of the articles about Ms. Grundy, including the one from Socawledge that summarizes her tweets and started it all. Especially interesting are Ms. Grundy’s comments on the controversy (facile and dishonest) and the comments of her defenders (I’ve heard similar things from Neo Nazis).

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2015/may/9/saida-grundy-boston-university-professor-white-mal/
Now, make your voices heard. Here are some contact links for Boston University. Make sure they understand just how completely unacceptable it is to promote racial and gender hatred.
President Robert Brown is first:

...and two others.
The Boston University Trustees:

The Boston University Public Relations department:

Since Ms. Grundy is not only hateful, but has lied about the history of slavery in the U.S., Africa, Europe and the Mid East, I recommend:

Mr. Bennet is no White apologist and details the history very well. It’s ugly, but at least honest.
btw - Mr. Bennet is an interesting individual in his own right. Here’s a link to his Wikipedia biography:

Obamacare Exchange Down The Toilet
Despite over $205 million in federal taxpayer funding, Hawaii’s Obamacare exchange website will soon shut down. Since its implementation, the exchange has somehow failed to become financially viable because of lower than expected Obamacare enrollment figures. With the state legislature rejecting a $28 million bailout, the website will now be unable to operate past this year.
According to the Honolulu Star-Advertiser the Hawaii Health Connector will stop taking new enrollees on Friday and plans to begin migrating to the federally run Healthcare.gov. Outreach services will end by May 31, all technology will be transferred to the state by September 30, and its workforce will be eliminated by February 28.
While the exchange has struggled since its creation, it is not for lack of funding. Since 2011 Hawaii has received a total of $205,342,270 in federal grant money from the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS). In total, HHS provided nearly $4.5 billion to Hawaii and other state exchanges, with little federal oversight and virtually no strings attached.
Despite this generous funding, the exchange has underperformed from day one. In its first year, Hawaii enrolled only 8,592 individuals – meaning it spent almost $23,899 on its website for each individual enrolled. Currently over 37,000 individuals are enrolled in Hawaii’s exchange - well below the estimated 70,000 enrollees that is required to make the website financially viable. Unfortunately, taxpayers will have to hand out an additional $30 million so that Hawaii can migrate to the federal system.
It’s not like the interface wasn’t standardized or anything ... they just can’t code a gateway for shizz ...
The plan, obtained by the Honolulu Star-Advertiser, states the Connector will cease new enrollments Friday, discontinue outreach services May 31 and transfer its technology to the state by Sept. 30. The Connector’s workforce will be completely eliminated by Feb. 28. The exchange has 32 employees, 29 temporary staff and 12 full-time contractors.
“Staff reductions will commence immediately, with the executive director ( Jeff Kissel) exiting once the bulk of operational activities end,” the report said. “If the state cannot facilitate an orderly transition, the Connector’s operations will abruptly end, as the Connector does not have the resources to continue operations.”
The state was notified in March that Hawaii was out of compliance with the Affordable Care Act, also known as Obamacare, because the Connector wasn’t financially sustainable at the start of this year and wasn’t integrated with the Medicaid system, which determines eligibility for subsidies and tax credits obtained through the exchange. The federal government subsequently restricted grant money to support the Connector and moved to take over its IT functions to allow residents to enroll in coverage through the federal marketplace, healthcare.gov.
Ya, I kinda hate to say it, but once this crap was signed and sealed, there really should have been a big software design symposium. Design the federal back-end, the federal front-end, and the state front-ends all at the same time. Then hand out the front-ends to the states, so they can modify their copy by changing the name of the state and the wallpaper. And the state providers database. But that’s about it. It really should be an out-of-the-box solution, built, bulletproofed, and tested to bazinga and back again before release.
What a total rip-off this whole thing has been.

A Very Sad Panda
Police in southwestern China arrested 10 people for killing a female wild giant panda, buying and selling its parts, state media said Wednesday.
The giant panda is an endangered species that tops China’s list of protected animals. Poaching them is rare, but panda parts are believed to fetch high prices on the black market because of their rarity.
China Central Television said forest police in Yunnan province recovered panda skin, panda meat, bones and an internal organ from the poachers and vendors. If convicted, the suspects could be jailed for years.
A recent census shows the wild panda population grew by 268 to a total of 1,864 in China since the last survey ending in 2003.
World Wild Fund for Nature has said poaching, a traditional threat to wild pandas in China, has declined but economic development has become a major threat. Hydropower plants, roads, and mining projects disrupt the animal’s natural habitat.
Still, Chinese officials say poaching rare animals and smuggling their parts remain a problem and that authorities are stepping up efforts to crack down on acts endangering rare animals.
I don’t know much of anything about traditional Chinese medicine, but it seems to be based on “find a really rare animal, kill it, and tell people that eating the bits will make their dicks hard”. Thankfully, China has finally gotten around to making such things illegal. It only took them 4500 years.
Too bad it’s already too late for the northern white rhino, poached to extinction.
China Outlaws the Eating of Tiger Penis, Rhino Horn, and Other Endangered Animal Products
[May 2014] Consumers of endangered animal products in China face a risk of considerable jail time after the Standing Committee of the National People’s Congress reinterpreted existing criminal laws last week to put greater pressure on those who eat or purchase protected species.
Chinese law makes it illegal to hunt and buy any of the country’s 420 protected endangered species, which include Asiatic black bears, South China tigers, golden monkeys, and giant pandas. But the statutory language is highly ambiguous.
The change adopted by the Standing Committee redefines what it means to purchase endangered species, making it illegal for anyone to knowingly buy or consume animals that were poached. The aim of the law is to crack down on the demand for endangered species, which are widely used in traditional Chinese medicine. Various animal parts are thought to offer assorted health benefits, like preventing cancer or relieving back pain.
Many of these species are also valued as a mark of status. Consumption has boomed in tandem with the country’s economy, and the demand has encouraged large-scale illegal hunting.

Next Time Stay Awake
Any excuse will do when you’re the boss and your second cousin needs a job?
South Korea’s spy agency told the country’s lawmakers Wednesday that North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un executed his defense chief for falling asleep during a meeting and talking back to the young leader.
Lawmaker Shin Kyoung-min says that officials from the National Intelligence Service told a closed-door parliamentary committee that People’s Armed Forces Minister Hyon Yong Chol was killed by anti-aircraft gunfire with hundreds watching at a shooting range at Pyongyang’s Kang Kon Military Academy in late April. Shin was one of the lawmakers who attended the briefing.
The office of another lawmaker, Lee Cheol Woo, released similar information about the NIS briefing.
Executed by anti-aircraft fire? Crivens, talk about taking flak on your job!

Crowder Gets His Fisk On
Sometimes you just have to take things apart a piece at a time. Steve Crowder goes after Obama’s “Poverty Summit” discussion ... because not everyone with a decent income is a “lottery winner” who can “afford” to “pay their fair share” of around 70% federal income tax. Plus state, local, school, property, sales, capital gains, motor vehicle excise, and all the other duck bites we’re nibbled to death with.

pesky browser issues
I just lost a whole post. Not sure how, but I guess I hit the wrong key, and suddenly, poof.
Beats me. And then when I published this little post, it too went off into the ether. I don’t get it. So I did a PC scan, did a reboot, cleared the caches and reloaded Firefox. At least this time I was smart enough to copy the whole post to the clipboard. So haha on you, evil Windows gremlin.
The gist of it was, the alternate domain name of this blog has been renewed. So you can get here using barkingmoonbat.com as well as barking-moonbat.com. Or you can make a bookmark, which is even easier.
And now it’s lunchtime. In the lost post I wrote a taste tempting paragraph about the yummy dish of burritos I just made. I’m too hungry to write that all again, but try some enchilada cooking sauce and some Rotel diced tomatoes and chilis on yours next time. It really makes a nice difference.

hey there how are ya?
Zooming around once again. Stop off at the PC to check this, see that, and say hi to the blog.
Back to running around.
Back later I hope.
Hey, how about that Game of Thrones episode this weekend? Looks like they’re editing the heck out of George R. Martin’s work, and trimming off thousands of pages of crap. Thank God. The guy wrote such an overly detailed intertwined tale he got lost in his own threads, and finally subjected us to 2500 pages of dead ends, failed plots, insane naughty queens, and more dead ends ... and did not move the story towards completion at all. The bastard. So All Praise the rewriters, who must have his goolies on the anvil getting him to comb out and simplify this mess.

Another Web of Lies From Ospider
Well of course he did. Not only did we all realize it at the time, almost instantly, but it was to be expected for that kind of secret squirrel spy-guy and SEALS operation. What’s news is that the lies were done so poorly. Wait, is that news either? We all know he’s a lousy liar already. Right, but this one took the cake. No, it took the steak; there was no cake. Cake is all in your imagination. Yeah, it’s that kind of thing.
Short version is here.
Long version, a half hour essay by Seymour Hirsch, is here.
Not everyone agreed. Robert Gates, the secretary of defence, was the most outspoken of those who insisted that the agreements with Pakistan had to be honoured. In his memoir, Duty, Gates did not mask his anger:
Before we broke up and the president headed upstairs to tell the American people what had just happened, I reminded everyone that the techniques, tactics and procedures the Seals had used in the bin Laden operation were used every night in Afghanistan … it was therefore essential that we agree not to release any operational details of the raid. That we killed him, I said, is all we needed to say. Everybody in that room agreed to keep mum on details. That commitment lasted about five hours. The initial leaks came from the White House and CIA. They just couldn’t wait to brag and to claim credit. The facts were often wrong … Nonetheless the information just kept pouring out. I was outraged and at one point, told [the national security adviser, Tom] Donilon, ‘Why doesn’t everybody just shut the fuck up?’ To no avail.
Obama’s speech was put together in a rush, the retired official said, and was viewed by his advisers as a political document, not a message that needed to be submitted for clearance to the national security bureaucracy. This series of self-serving and inaccurate statements would create chaos in the weeks following. Obama said that his administration had discovered that bin Laden was in Pakistan through ‘a possible lead’ the previous August; to many in the CIA the statement suggested a specific event, such as a walk-in. The remark led to a new cover story claiming that the CIA’s brilliant analysts had unmasked a courier network handling bin Laden’s continuing flow of operational orders to al-Qaida. Obama also praised ‘a small team of Americans’ for their care in avoiding civilian deaths and said: ‘After a firefight, they killed Osama bin Laden and took custody of his body.’ Two more details now had to be supplied for the cover story: a description of the firefight that never happened, and a story about what happened to the corpse.
The whole thing is just a rolling avalanche of lies. The only one consistent point is that Osama bin Laden is dead. And that will have to be enough.

Friggin Rework
Rats, I knew it was too tight a fit.
I put a bathroom fan in this weekend in a dropped ceiling commercial bathroom. You’d figure that would be easy, dropped ceilings usually having loads of vertical clearance above them. But no. This one has two water lines and a PVC drain line of some kind right over the spot. So it was a tight fit that stretched the wire a bit. Worked fine when I left, but didn’t work when they came in this morning. So I’ve got to go load up the tools and ladder and run down there again, right now.
Crap.
And it’s an annoying fit too; the building is wired with 12ga BX cable, and the fan wires are puny little 22 or 24 gauge. And short leads of course. Kind of tough to get them to stay in a wire nut with that big old 12ga solid core chunk of copper.
So there goes my profit margin. But I’ll eat it, because I don’t do crap work, and this is a regular long term customer.
Oh well. So much for blogging this morning and then going flower shopping.
UPDATE: My nuts were too big. Geex, how often do you hear that? One connection was a little loose, so I trimmed 1/8” off the 12ga wire to even the ends up better with the 24ga stuff, then used a one size smaller wire nut to screw them together more tightly. While I was at it I put a smaller wire nut on the other connection. And lucky me, I found my wire strippers which I had left up in the ceiling. All fixed. I turned the thing on and off 50 times and it worked without a flicker. 10 minute job. Took me more time to put all my tools and the ladder in the old chuggy buggy.
So, on with my day. Breakfast ... now there’s a good idea!

Pamela Geller On Fire
A great interview with Pamela Geller done after she was not only attacked by Jihadis, but by our Mainstream Media as well.
She’s like the rest of us in most ways, except one. She has put her name and her face front and center in the fight of Freedom vs. Liberalism. She has also guaranteed that she will have a target on her back for the rest of her life. Most of us just don’t have that kind of courage.
Hat Tip: Gates of Vienna

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
