Good news and bad news. This one is both.

Word Up
Thanks to Frank J. at IMAO an his pal FreedomIsJustAnotherWord
I think I’ll make an executive order calling for the adoption of this term. Beats me how we didn’t figure it out years ago. Sure, the Demotivator is fine and all, but it’s the term. That perfect, perfect term.
High praise, indeed.

Democrat Meltdown
Some of my picks for ‘must read’ articles today:
Democrats vote unanimously against the 1st amendment…
On June 18, when this proposed constitutional amendment came up in the Senate Judiciary Subcommittee on the Constitution, Sen. Ted Cruz did a simple thing: He offered an amendment to replace this amendment with the exact words of the First Amendment.
The subcommittee defeated the First Amendment. Every Democrat on the panel voting against it.
How Ted Cruz Exposed the Free-Speech Haters
Media pushes to eliminate the Constitution when Democrats lose.
How else to explain why the New York Times wants to forever cancel the midterm election. You read that right, cancel them. Outright. According to the Times, midterm elections no longer make sense. The problem is that the midterm electorate “has been whiter, wealthier, older and more educated than during presidential elections.”
Mind you, no one is stopping the non-white, non-old, or non-educated (i.e., Democrats) from voting in midterms.
Democrat Underground melts down. One example:
Unknown Beatle: “What the fuck is the matter with this nation? Things aren’t getting better, they’re getting worse, and as hard as we try and yell and cuss, no one is doing shit about all the criminality going on with the banks, politicians, and anyone that breaks the law as long as they’re filthy rich. I’m so fucking pissed off right now I can’t see straight. My blood pressure is sky high. I need to take it easy.”
Your guy has been in charge for the last six years. What an Idiot.
The 16 Most Epic Democratic Underground MELTDOWNS
About those Democrat myths… This one’s my favorite.
3) An improving economy would limit Democrats’ losses. In the few places he felt confident and welcome enough to campaign, Obama devoted much of his appeal to citing the economic progress his administration has made: jobs created, growth, healthcare costs, corporate regulation.
The election results were pretty definitive proof that voters are not feeling the progress Obama feels has been made. Most importantly, it is an unhappy fact that a significant part of the decline in the unemployment rate under Obama has been the result of discouraged workers giving up the search for employment altogether. Indeed, in exit polls, nearly 70 percent of voters expressed negative feelings about the economy, many years into the Obama recovery.
Let’s see… jobs created? Just part-time jobs. Healthcare costs? Way up! Corporate regulation? Also way up. Not feelng that economic recovery here. To quote then Vice-Pres. candidate Algore, “Everything that should be up is down. Everything that should be down is up.”
Voters’ verdict explodes Democratic myths

a disciplinary hearing for promoting the politically incorrect. male/female marriage
An elderly man of 71 has been doing his charity bit, by being a res cross volunteer for many years. Over 20 years, he became a senior volunteer and when he started, political correctness had yet to raise it’s scummy head. But times have changed of course, and one must be cautious of holding unpopular opinions and worse yet, demonstrating with a sign that openly opposes same sex marriage.
Such was exactly this fellows transgression.
He has been made unwelcome by the charity because in their view, his (view) is no longer compatible with those of the red cross.
His sign said, “No Same Sex Marriage” and “No redefinition of marriage.”
Well .... we can’t have that sort of thing now, can we?
So the charity let him go. And it wasn’t as if he was protesting on the steps or wearing anything to ID him as a red cross volunteer.
His attitude is just not in keeping with these more up to date, corrupt and brainless times.
Red Cross volunteer, 71, axed over gay marriage protest: Pensioner told he is no longer welcome at charity because his views are incompatible with its valuesBryan Barkley held the one-man protest outside Wakefield Cathedral
Stood by himself and held up a placard which read ‘No same sex marriage’
Has now been dismissed from the British Red Cross due to the protest
Was told he was no longer welcome as his views are incompatible with its valuesBy Andrew Pierce and Eleanor Harding for the Daily Mail
A volunteer has been dismissed from the British Red Cross for protesting against gay marriage.
Bryan Barkley, 71, was told he is no longer welcome at the charity because his views are incompatible with its values.
The church-going pensioner received his dismissal letter after holding a one-man protest outside his local cathedral.
He held up a placard saying ‘No same sex marriage’ and ‘No redefinition of marriage’.
Yesterday his supporters said the charity’s action was shocking and it was punishing volunteers for their thoughts and views.
Mr Barkley, who has worked for 20 years as a senior Red Cross volunteer, is appealing against his dismissal which he calls ‘unfair and without justification’.
The grandfather, who has been married for 42 years, joined the organisation after taking early retirement from his job as a civil engineer and had recently represented it at a Buckingham Palace garden party.
He said yesterday: ‘What have I done wrong? I passionately believe that the institution of marriage is between a man and a woman and is the cornerstone of our society. Why is it wrong to say so in public?
‘Freedom of expression is being stifled in this country. I have nothing against homosexuals. But I don’t believe Parliament was representing the views of the people when it changed the definition of marriage.’
Mr Barkley, from Wakefield, West Yorkshire, worked for the charity’s international tracing service helping reunite families in Britain with relatives in Eastern Europe, the Middle East and Africa. He staged his protest outside Wakefield Cathedral in March.
It was reported in the local press and Pink News but his link to the Red Cross was not mentioned.
However, in May he received a letter from Andy Peers, director of operations for the charity in Yorkshire, summoning him to a disciplinary hearing.

disaster for brit community as libyan troops train in britain, man raped, woman assaulted
Up thru much of the night listening to the BBC radio coverage of America Votes. Confess to some surprise (being away so long) that GOP has done as well as it has.
One report I heard says that the Tea Party is responsible in large measure.
I think now the really hard work begins. The electorate is going to expect an awful lot.
Meanwhile in the country in which I reside, the following story is making news as well it should.
You will recall a few years ago, the idiot would be crusader for the rights of everyone everywhere, namely the Brit Prime Minister Jerk, David Cameron, led the charge to liberate Europa from the Naz ....? Hang on. Wrong war. He just wishes it were, and wants to be Churchill.
The current prime jerk led the charge to liberate Libya from a tyrant and make the world safe for democracy.
And as we all know, that country is today a stable and peaceful place of plenty and no longer have waring factions with hundreds of thousands of refugees fleeing for ...... Europa and especially Britain.
Having achieved that much sought after goal, later on he tried to convince his Parliament to back an invasion of Syria with landings at Normandy and
hang on .... that’s wrong innit? Wrong war again. They do get confusing.
Anyway ... his Parliament refused to follow him in a crusade against Syria because things went so well in Libya.
However .... aid is being given to Libya in the form of military training with a group of them stationed here in the UK for training.
Lets us take a look at this latest project to see how things are progressing.
Libyan soldiers invited to train in UK: Cadets accused of sex attacks. Hundreds sent home. Dozens set to claim asylum300 Libyan soldiers based in thee UK are to be sent home a month early
Group were stationed at Bassingbourn Barracks - 14 miles from Cambridge
Two men are charged with raping a male victim in a park after night out
Two men admitted sex attack on woman a week ago but one man denies itIt is understood two of the soldiers have since claimed asylum in the UK
Whole programme training 2,000 soldiers is on hold and may be axed
By David Williams and Andrew Levy and James Slack for the Daily Mail
Hundreds of Libyans invited to the UK for military training are being sent home amid claims of rape, drunkenness, fighting and theft.
The cadets – hand-picked by the British Army – were supposed to be given leadership skills to help their war-torn country.
Instead they have been allowed to run amok outside their Cambridgeshire barracks, terrifying their neighbours. British troops have been drafted in to restore order.
Worse still, Libya has failed to pay the bill for the programme. Since the training course – which is backed by David Cameron – began in June:
Cadets hunted down and sexually assaulted three women in one night;
Two of the trainees have been charged with raping a man in a park;
Discipline has collapsed, with one in ten refusing to obey orders;
A UK trainer has reportedly been headbutted and another apparently threatened by a Libyan mob;
Cleaners at the base complained of being ‘touched up’;
Recruits have bought alcohol against strict orders;
A handful have even asked for asylum.Ali Zidan, Libya’s former prime minister, paid £2.5million to the UK government but has claimed further payments were being blocked by Libya’s Islamist-led congress.
In April, Mr Cameron wrote to Mr Zidan’s successor, Abdullah al-Thinni, urging him to make the payments.
The Prime Minister pledged the UK’s continuing support but added: ‘I understand that you have been working personally to take forward the General Purpose Force Programme and that plans are now advanced for some 360 recruits to come to the UK in May.
‘I hope that it will be possible to resolve quickly the remaining issues relating to contract and payment, given the overall importance of this programme to our shared goal of improving stability and security.’
The call for extra troops to restore order came from police last week. Units of the 2 Scots, the Royal Highland Fusiliers, were sent in to Bassingbourn Barracks, near Royston, after their leave was cancelled.
Last night, the Ministry of Defence announced the 24-week course was ending early and the 325 cadets would be sent home.
The future of the entire programme – scheduled to cover 2,000 trainees – is in doubt amid protests from furious locals.
Andrew Lansley, a former Tory health secretary who had initially supported the scheme, said: ‘As this stands, no further groups of trainees could be brought here from Libya.’
He said the MoD must be held accountable for ‘a serious failure’. Mr Lansley said about 10 per cent of the cadets ‘were not accepting the discipline and weren’t accepting what they were asked to do and were not becoming part of a military force’.
‘They were looking to take whatever advantage they could,’ he added. ‘It has meant recently that there has been a lot of additional resources by the MoD to try and shore it up and give protection. It is all very disappointing. We wanted it to work and for it to make a contribution in Libya. I am unhappy.’
The demand for answers came after Cambridge magistrates were told how three of the cadets had behaved ‘like a pack’ as they hunted down and sexually assaulted three women in one night.
Ibrahim Naji El Maarfi, 20, and Mohammed Abdalsalam, 27, left their barracks on stolen bicycles and cycled to Cambridge where they stalked their victims under the cover of darkness. The city’s magistrates were told how they touched them sexually and attempted to put their hands up their skirts.
Abdalsalam admitted two counts of sexual assault, one count of threatening behaviour towards a police office and one count of theft. El Maarfi pleaded guilty to two counts of sexual assault, one count of exposure and one count of theft.
A third man, Khaled El Azibi, 18, who was charged with three counts of sexual assault and one count of theft, refused to enter pleas at the hearing.
They will be sentenced at Cambridge Crown Court at a later date.
CATALOGUE OF COMPLAINTS AND CHAOSTwo Libyan soldiers pleaded guilty to assaulting women in Cambridge. A third refused to plead to similar charges
Two recruits charged with the rape of a man in a Cambridge park
Cadets said to repeatedly slip out of the barracks, visiting shops and pubsMore than £1,000 was spent on alcohol on a single visit to Tesco, said one local
Residents in nearby villages said they felt intimidated and complained of drunkenness and theft, especially of bicycles
A British Army trainer was head-butted by a recruitSome recruits left after going on ‘strike’. Two more left after allegedly ‘molesting’ cleaners at the barracks
A British corporal was shouted at by 20 of the North Africans after three colleagues were detained for going AWOL
British soldiers had leave cancelled to help police control trainees.

Want A Mandate? Here: Save The Nation, Don’t Screw It Up
Republicans claim Senate majority, take control of Congress
Voters handed control of the Senate to Republicans for the first time in eight years on Tuesday, putting the GOP in charge of Congress for the remainder of President Obama’s term.
Republicans swept to victory in a string of contests across the country, retaining every one of the GOP-held seats up for grabs and picking up more than the six seats needed to take control of the Senate. Republicans enjoyed a banner night after mounting campaigns from coast to coast that, almost without exception, sought to cast their opponents as rubber stamps for the unpopular president. Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell, who fended off a Democratic challenge in Kentucky, is now poised to ascend to majority leader next year.
Republicans also are projected to retain control of the House—and gain at least 12 seats, expanding their majority beyond their post-World War II record of 246 seats set in 1946.
The landscape means Republicans will have new powers to challenge Obama’s agenda in the final two years of his term, able to launch investigations and hold hearings from both chambers; hold up key appointments; and pass GOP-favored legislation, if only to force the president to employ his veto pen. The division of power also could yield areas of agreement, on areas ranging from immigration to energy—though the Affordable Care Act and efforts to undermine it could continue to sour talks on other issues.
McConnell, after winning his own race, said some things won’t change next year—but stressed that lawmakers and the White House don’t have to be in “perpetual conflict” and “have an obligation to work together.”
“Tomorrow, the papers will say I won this race, but the truth is ... tonight we begin another one, one that’s far more important than mine—and that’s the race to turn this country around,” McConnell said in Louisville.
That’s how strong the anti-Obama backlash is; the sweep is stronger than what followed FDR, our previous Red President, at the end of WWII.
36 states were also up for governors, and with the votes in from all but 4 of those states, it looks like another sweep, with Republicans dominating 24 to 8, and the races leaning, but too close to call, in the other 4 states.
Unfortunately, Minnesota managed to re-elect Al Franken by a huge margin, and New Jersey managed to keep Cory Booker, as expected. Hey, you can’t win ‘em all. But maybe this will be enough to plug the dyke, and hopefully turn the tide.

Inventive Solution
I always love it when a problem can be solved with good humor.
A Turnaround In Clinton
The main road that travels past our condo park ends at the highway. While it might be the local route for us, for everyone else the entire road is considered the west bound on-ramp for the highway. The east bound entrance is on the other side of town. Duh, but that’s how it is. So we get a fair bit of misdirected traffic on that road, and all those people soon realize they need to turn around. And that’s an annoyance to the several small businesses on the lower part of the road, so they all put up “No U Turn” signs, parking cones, and other sorts of unfriendly things to keep people out.
One of those little businesses is a real estate office, and they’re using humor instead. They put up a fair size sign out by the curb that says “FREE U TURNS” and in the fine print below “with every home purchased”. They haven’t had a turn-around driver since.

Of Course It Was A Muslim
UK Army Cadet, 15, Burned With Pocket Flamethrower
While Selling Remembrance Day Poppies
An Army cadet suffered burns in an unprovoked attack after selling poppies for Remembrance Day.
The 15-year-old boy was waiting at a bus stop in his camouflage uniform when a man holding an aerosol can and cigarette lighter approached him.
He then sprayed the terrified boy with blazing fumes before walking off without saying a word.
The cadet suffered minor burns to his face and singed hairs on his face and right forearm.
Police are keeping an open mind about what motivated the attack in Manchester city centre on Saturday.
The attacker, who appeared to be under the influence of alcohol, was described as black or Asian, 5ft 8in tall and wearing a dark hooded top.
...
‘This is an absolutely appalling attack on a young man who was raising money to help remember all those who gave their lives fighting bravely for their country,’ said Detective Inspector Liam Boden from Greater Manchester Police.‘Given the initial description we have of the offender, it may be that he was under the influence of something but whatever his motivation, his violent actions could have scarred this young man for life.
‘It is pure luck that he did not sustain more serious burns to his face and body.
They take the poppy thing quite seriously over there. Not merely as a cheap gimmee to help raise funds for military aligned organizations, but the whole poppy thing, what it’s all about. The remembering.
Here ... look:
That’s the Tower of London. See the red area? That’s the moat that surrounds this ancient fortress. It’s dry now, and covers 16 acres.
Why is the 16 acre moat red?
The moat is red because it’s filled with red ceramic poppies. Lots of them. Thousands of them. 888,246 to be exact. Which is the number of soldiers lost by the British Empire in the First World War. Every flower is a death. 100 years ago.
It’s part of the Bloodswept Lands and Seas of Red public history presentation, running from August 5 (the day the war started) to November 11 (Remembrance Day, the day the war ended [4 years later]). Each ceramic flower is paid for by proceeds from the sale of the little paper ones. Assuming some crazed idiot doesn’t burn the sellers alive.
OTOH ...
OTOH, there is this. Proud to be a British Muslim, perhaps the great-grandchild of British Muslims, who may have served with honor in that long ago conflict? Don’t burn the poppy, embrace it. My guess is you’ve got to be a bit modern for this, a bit apostate, putting country before religion and all that.
More than 300,000 soldiers of the Empire were Muslims in that war.

I’m such a slacker
Not the best day for me today. Nothing really bad, just ... well, blah.
Get out there and vote Tuesday. And question your poll workers - “How do I know that this machine is going to cast a vote the way I want? What proof do you have that this one doesn’t have ‘calibration errors’?” You have the right to ask. Up until now I have been very happy with our voting machines, all of them electronic and super easy to use. But we don’t get a printed receipt, or a barcode printout, or anything like that, and we don’t get to see a physical counter counting, because there aren’t any. So, how do we know?
I love my election ladies. One is my pal from downstairs from before we moved, the other two I’ve worked for many times over the years. So I have no doubts about them, but they just monitor the gates, so to speak. After all the crap in the news this past few weeks, I’d like to see some kind of proof.
Granted, just typing out that last sentence was enough time for me to figure out how to hack that. What I’d really want was a way to see my individual vote at county after the election. I doubt if showing me the machine’s totals before my vote and after it is even legal.
So I don’t know how to proof that pudding right now. But I think that going back to a manual paper vote is the wrong decision. It’s a step backwards into tried and true vote cheating methods, instead of boldly finding new, high technology ways of cheating. Right, like those entire counties in 2012 with not a single vote for Romney. Or those areas with 143% voter turnout. And yet, not one arrest, not one investigation, not one intervention disqualification ("you cheated, therefore every vote in this place is invalid now").
Speaking of legal and voting, I saw Reince Priebus on FoxNews talking about the way the early voting was going in several states. It sure sounded like somebody was looking at those votes and letting the information be made public. Not once in that segment did anyone say “exit poll”. I’m not sure how the rules are set up, but aside from checking the voter’s name against the list, and marking them as having voted for this election, I wouldn’t want anybody looking at those ballots.
Oh, perhaps I owe you guys an Emily Latella “Never Mind”: Rince Prius Mr. GOP was probably talking about the numbers of early ballots cast by Democrats and Republicans, and crowing about upcoming victory and big margins AS IF everyone voting would be voting the straight party line. Which may or may not be true. Bet it is to a high degree, in this polarized age. Betcha at least 60% of the voters stick with their party, no matter what, unless their side is running a total doofus. Or has a total doofus in office that everyone is sick to death of. And his Klingon wife.
Right. Whatevs.
At least try to be part of the system tomorrow. And show them your ID. Even if they don’t want to see it. Photo ID and voter registration card. Just because.

Feral Children
QOTD: White privilege = being held responsible for the acts of your ancestors by blacks who accept no responsibility for the acts of their children.
DETROIT (WWJ) - Detroit police say a 16-year-old is clinging to life after getting being attacked by a classmate at his charter school, apparently over a pair of shoes.
The incident happened Wednesday at Allen Academy on Quincy Street, in a northwest neighborhood off of I-96 near Joy Road.
Police say the student, identified in reports as 16-year-old Willie Wallace, was violently attacked by at least one other student. Investigators believe it all stemmed from a previous altercation over a pair of expensive Nike Air Force shoes Wallace was wearing.
Wallace reportedly suffered a seizure, fractured skull, bleeding in his brain, and damage to his chin, cheek and neck in the attack, which went on for about five minutes. He was last reported in critical condition.
The attack apparently started as Wallace was walking down the hallway on his way to class. His mother told reporters that he was sucker-punched before entering the classroom, where other students allegedly joined in the attack.
But not to worry, the school has a Zero Tolerance Policy. And the last time this gang attacked this kid over this same pair of sneakers, they suspended everybody. There, problem solved. Except now the kid gets beaten to a pulp right in the classroom. And it took the teacher 5 minutes to intervene. FIVE MINUTES. Must have been busy calling 911. No, probably he couldn’t get near the victim for the size of the crowd stomping him to death. Such nice children. All aspiring rappers, and college bound, no doubt.
A Detroit teenager badly beaten by classmates at his charter school in Detroit was headed for surgery to repair his jaw at Henry Ford Hospital, his mother said Friday.
Willie Wallace, 16, was pummeled by what a police investigator said was as many as a dozen classmates at Allen Academy as he walked in a hallway to his last class of the day, his mother, Sylvia Simmons, said.
“He has made a lot of progress” toward healing since the fight, the second altercation at the school in less than a month, Simmons said. The first occurred several weeks ago after older boys tried to take Willie’s $130 Nike Air Force shoes and they were suspended, along with Willie, she said. The second incident occurred when some of the same group “tried to get even” for being suspended, Willie’s mother said.
“He has a fractured skull, he has blood on his brain and he bit half of his tongue off” in a seizure that he suffered soon after Wednesday’s fight, she said. The hospital listed him in serious but stable condition Friday.
“But he’s off the ventilator, thank God for that, and (Saturday) they’re going to do the first surgery on his jaw, so he can breathe properly and swallow properly,” Simmons said. She said her son was sucker-punched in the jaw as he walked into class in mid-afternoon Wednesday, and “then he rolled into the classroom and all these others jumped him.”
A Detroit police spokeswoman confirmed Friday that the department was investigating the incident and that “we do have one juvenile detained in connection with this case.”
Ferals. Sub-human monsters.
The boy’s mother says she’s pulling him out of this private school and taking up home schooling. I think she’d be better off moving the heck out of Detroilet.

Go Back To Sleep
It is now Eastern Standard Time.
Daylight Savings Time ended last night, November 2nd, at 2am.
So 2am is now 1am.
Just in case you actually still have a clock in your house that is NOT connected to the worldwide data net, you will have to set the numbers back an hour.
Personally, I plan to celebrate by going back to sleep.
And I think this changing the clocks thing is the silliest bit of nonsense ever. Especially in the 21st Century. And I think we do it wrong. Fall Forward, not Spring Ahead. We should set the clocks forward in the winter months; 7am becomes 8am, and it’s still nearly dark anyway. But 5pm becomes 6pm, and there’s still a wan bit of light to drive home to. It’s the summer months we need to reset ... daylight until 9pm. Get outta here!
