just another result of lower standards and lower class ppl advanced via race and gender

IT PAAAAAYS, TO BE IGNORANT, TO BE DUMB, TO BE DENSE, TO BE
IGNORANT ...

Well maybe not so dumb and dense after all.  She gets a million for what?

Getting drunk and getting injured.
But it isn’t her fault. Oh no. It’s the Navy that let her down. Yup .. she’s a Lieutenant in the Royal Navy?

Skank.

Here’s what happened.

She fell down. OK, she fell down 30 feet. Ouch. BUT, the bitch was was drunk at the time. So who is at fault. Well obviously not her. No, the Navy is to blame. The other participants in the fun night building human pyramids, with her on the very top. From which, she fell. And broke her back. Told she might never walk again, she was up and walking with sticks 6 weeks later. Although she still needed a wheelchair, she got out of that to get married, and with special equipment has been scuba diving and snowboarding.
By the way .... she’s still in the Navy. Oh yeah. They can’t dump her. She’s female and has extra special rights. Gee, too bad she’s white or she might get even more. Anyway, she is on the Paralympic basketball team. Isn’t that nice?
She has become a poster girl for the navy which celebrates her sporting achievements on its website, according to the press. I do not wish her well.
There are service people who have had limbs blown off who get half what she did, and all this ugly duckling did was get drunk and fall 30 feet.
Too bad it wasn’t her neck that broke instead. And .... she isn’t even pretty.

She argued her accident happened at an Armed Forces function where top brass had responsibility for her well-being.

Who I wonder, will she sue if she falls out of her wheelchair?

Navy’s £1million ‘drunken sailor’ is now a Paralympic basketball team star: Lieutenant who was given huge payout after alcohol-fuelled accident becomes poster girl for Navy’s sporting triumphs

Lieutenant Kirsty Wallace injured after falling of human pyramid in 2007
32-year-old feared paralysed from waist down after alcohol-fuelled night
But she managed to walk without wheelchair down aisle in 2011
Now poster girl for Navy and key member of wheelchair basketball team

By Sam Greenhill and Ian Drury and Claire Ellicott

Following a six-year legal battle she won a payout of £1million – ($ 1,663,222 ) nearly double the maximum £570,000 compensation given by the Ministry of Defence to soldiers with the most severe battlefield injuries such as paratrooper Ben Parkinson.

He lost his legs when he was blown up by a mine in Afghanistan in 2006.

Lt Wallace, who is from Ardrishaig in western Scotland, took up wheelchair basketball in 2009 and made her debut representing Great Britain at the BT Paralympic World Cup in Manchester in May 2011.

OK ... if you wanna read the entire unedited version minus my invective, go here.

warmf!

OMFG, it got above 40 today. And yesterday too. And it looks like we’ve got 3 or more days of nearly 50 in the queue. The snowpack is shrinking, woo hoo!! The ground is becoming quite visible in many places! Well, not here so much on the shady west side of things, but if we get some actual rain it will really make a difference.

Spring, Spring, Spring, wonderful Spring!

image

Um, I think I’d better put the daffodil bulbs in the freezer. I’ve got them outside in a box staying cold and dark; I never got them in the ground in the fall. The ground won’t be ready for them for at least a month, and I don’t want them sprouting before that.

Enjoy Yourself

“Enjoy yourself; it’s later than you think”

Daylight Savings Time began this morning at 2am. Clocks magically jumped forward an hour.

I’ve always thought this was a bit of silliness, and that it was done backwards anyway. Last week it was starting to get dark around 6:30pm, as the days lengthen. That’s fine. You want to mess with the clocks, shift it backwards an hour from that! Early Spring sunset jumps back to 5:30pm instead of forward to 7:30. And as the long bright summer days roll in, instead of dusk being pushed all the way back to 9:30 in June, it would fall at 7:30, which is about where it ought to be.

And why we’re changing our clocks on the nonsensical date of March 9 is beyond me. I can see doing on the Equinox, March 20. Which in the warming months is the Vernal Equinox. Which is also the first day of Spring.

Back when I was young, my university had a “stomping of the coat” festival, in which we all bid of fond farewell (aka “flippin of the bird") to glorious winter. Given that my university was in way upstate NY, they usually waited about a full month past the beginning of Spring for the snow to melt and things to warm up enough. And you wanted to stomp your coat at that point, because you had been living in that damn parka and those duck shoes, and carrying that ultra heavy duty golf umbrella, and wearing those corduroys and heavy wool socks, since late September. Plus we wanted to express the sense of nearly bitter irony that just more than 3 weeks remained from the day we could finally get out of our winter clothes until graduation. Damnation. The moment it got warm we all had to study like mad and then go home.

muslim takeover of uk schools? hoax or for real?  Read this space.

I heard this on the radio last night for the first time.
This story is new but the activity of the members of the rop is not. And they have been doing this for awhile.  I’ve been banging on for years about 5th columns and people hiding behind screens and infiltrating, yadda, yadda and blah, blah.  But this reportage really is new if not surprising to anyone here. But it’s damned dangerous and can not be left unchecked.
Wanna bet tho .... it will.  These bastards will think of something. They always do. Meanwhile, Britain’s borders remain pretty much open, in spite of how hard some are working to keep out the undesirables.
Take a look at this, then visit the source link.

Revealed: Islamist plot dubbed ‘Trojan Horse’ to replace teachers in Birmingham schools with radicals

Birmingham city council has warned of an alleged dirty tricks campaign
It has documents purporting that non-Muslim teachers are being targeted
Islamic fundamentalists allegedly want to replace them with radicals
Called Trojan Horse, the operation has reportedly succeeded in places
The documents reveal a plan for the operation to target other cities

By Laura Clark and Lucy Osborne

Muslim fundamentalists are plotting to take over state schools, according to leaked documents.

Activists have launched a campaign to oust headteachers using dirty tricks such as spreading false allegations and packing governing bodies with their supporters.

The plot, which ringleaders have named Operation Trojan Horse, has emerged in documents drawn up by the group and leaked to a local newspaper.

The dossier names several schools in the Birmingham area as targets of alleged plots.

The authors of the documents discuss extending the ‘jihad’ operation to Bradford and Manchester – cities with rapidly growing Muslim populations.

‘Recruit parents, turn them against the head, then target other cities’

The Trojan Horse documents appear to be correspondence between a Birmingham-based Muslim fundamentalist and an acquaintance in Bradford.

They outline a five-point guide for taking over a school and encourage expanding the operation to Bradford and then Manchester.

The recipient is first urged to identify any Salafi parents – Muslim fundamentalists – sending pupils to the school.

‘They are always the most committed to the faith and are hardliners in that regard and once charged up they keep going for longer,’ the documents say.

‘When the parents have been identified, we start to turn them against the headteacher and leadership team.

‘The only way to do this is to tell each parent that the school is corrupting their children with sex education, teaching about homosexuals, making their children pray Christian prayers and mixed swimming and sport.

‘If you can get them to be very vocal in the playground as they drop off or pick up their children that will stir up other parents.

‘The parents MUST be given direction and told not to discuss this with anyone, you only need a maximum of four parents to disrupt the whole school, to send in complaints to question their child’s education and to contact their MP and local authority.’

Further steps are to ‘parachute in’ Muslim governors to ‘drip-feed our ideal for a Muslim school’ and galvanise staff to urge the council to investigate the school.

The document stresses the importance of having ‘an English face among the staff group to make it more believable’.

Anonymous letters should then be circulated to MPs, press and ministers.

The documents state: ‘All these things will work toward wearing the head down, removing their resolve and weakening their mindset so they eventually give up.’

The documents state: ‘Operation Trojan Horse has been very carefully thought through and is tried and tested within Birmingham, implementing it in Bradford will not be difficult for you.’

The operation, the papers say, has been fine-tuned so that it is ‘totally invisible to the naked eye and allows us to operate under the radar’.

They go on: ‘I have detailed the plan we have in Birmingham and how well it has worked and you will see how easy the whole process is to get the headteacher out and our own person in.’

State schools with poor Ofsted reports and with large Muslim pupil populations should be targeted for takeover, the writer says: ‘The poor performing schools are easy to disrupt, the better performing with strong head teachers are much harder and so we have to manufacture a strong enough reason, but rest assured we have not failed yet, no matter how difficult removing the head teacher may be.

‘You just have to be clever and find the most appropriate way to deal with the school.’

The documents add: ‘This is all about causing the maximum amount of organised chaos and we have fine-tuned this as part of operation Trojan Horse. You must identify what the heads’ strengths are and build a case of disruption around that.’

Salafi Islam is a strong fundamentalist version of the faith that seeks to rid itself of modern-day ‘impurities’. Followers believe in strict adherence to the Koran.

They argue worshipers have lost touch with the true nature of the religion and want to revert to the ancient form of Islam. Salafi comes from the root word ‘ancestors’.

See the entire article at the DAILY MAIL

If all the above is true and it is not a hoax of some kind, the one place in the article that had me look 2wice was the use of the word, “whilst”.  That word is so Brit in origin, it leads me to believe whoever wrote it is a hoaxer or, most probably, a home grown jihadist.

Even if it turns out to be true, for awhile there will be a lot of very loud noise which as always will fade, and they will go about their business which of course is, their war against the west and modernity.  They will do so with the connivance as always, of the far left and anarchists of every stripe.
Because, should you ask, those are the rats the west is infected with and those are the ones calling the shots in today’s world. If that were not true, you would not be living in a world of the politically correct.

it just does not get much dumber

People just are not getting smarter.  They can’t be when things like this occur.

They saw the thief but refuse to ID based on the rights of the thief.

It isn’t April first already, is it?

Btw ... I’m sure you have noticed but just in case, the Mail can’t afford proof readers. The headline” stole expensive pram form surgery” should read from and not form.

image

Surgery staff told Hayley to call police and when officers arrived to view the security film workers immediately recognised the suspect.

But they refused give her name, saying it would break data protection and patient confidentiality laws.

Avon and Somerset Police have now been forced to release CCTV images to the public in the hope that they can trace and question the woman.

However, a spokesman for the Information Commissioner’s Office said that the act should not be used to block an investigation.

A spokesman said: ‘While I cannot comment on this specific case, where police have reasonable grounds to believe a crime has taken place the act should not be a barrier to that investigation.’

stayin alive

Bad toothache day today. Beats me why.

Got up early for the garage door guy ... who showed up late but did a nice job installing the new Raynor Showcase model garage door the condo association decided on. It looks pretty nice. Not sure what the cost differences are, or even if it’s worth it, but I’d think that an R18 insulated door would be a better choice than an R10.3 insulated door. Not that the garages are heated. And 24 gauge galvanized steel vs 26 gauge? Phhff ... can I have 18 gauge please? Something thick enough to actually withstand the dings and bonks of real life? Whatever ... it’s certainly a nicer door than the old chunk of hollow core luan plywood crap that was here before.

So, jaw was all hurty again. I tried careful brushing, I tried flossing, I tried salt water rinses. Nothing. So I had half a shot of dark rum as a mouth rinse with breakfast, and that helped. For half an hour. So after the door guy was done I took one of those prescription pain pills. Which didn’t help the pain, but sure knocked me out. So I slept most of the afternoon.

Got up at 5, well rested but still in a bit of pain. Got it all together and got up to bowling right at 6:30, so I didn’t have time to throw even one practice ball. Fine. So I just took it easy. And I threw a 255. FTW. Sweet. My 211 in the second game helped us win that one as well. We had been very encouraging to the two women on the other team who were bowling poorly, both of them raw beginners. So by the third game they started doing better, but I was getting tired again and my face was hurting still. I only threw a 159 and we lost that one, but still we got 2 games plus the wood for 5 points for the night, which is not bad at all. And I had 2 great games out of 3; 466 after 2 games puts me exactly on track for a 700 series. Some day it will happen!

Came home, reheated the food I’d had time to cook but not to eat before bowling, ate that. Grabbed some more pain meds, watched an episode of something, went to bed. 3am I’m up, no pain, but sinus and chest congestion. Meds for that. Sux. Back to bed. I have an optional appointment with the dentist tomorrow - I set that up when they made their 2nd “how are you” call since the extraction. Nice, huh? - so if I’m in pain again in the AM I’ll keep it and have Dr give things a look under the hood.

Based on something I saw over at Moonbattery the other day, I’ve been reading/watching the Laci Green’s “Sex +” vlog blog. She’s a very energetic young woman who runs a discussion blog that’s all about sex. And relationships. And gender positive stuff. Ok, it’s a bit Left, but I think she’ll connect very well with young adults and teens. And she’s quite frank without being too opinionated, or grossing you out with too many lurid details or pictures. Consent, respect, protection, communication, acceptance, are the themes she runs with I think, and in the murky world of young adults and modern sexuality those are all good things. I don’t think she is funded by any grant, nor is she aiming her discussions at small children. So chillax, all you haters. She’s got a YouTube channel as well.

Back to bed.

Four Hellish Aspects

The winter data is out from my buddy the NJ State Climatologist.

It has snowed here 22 times so far this season, and my area has had more than 38.5” dumped on it in total. Plus rain. Usually, if we get more than a foot, foot and a half, we call it a bad winter.

And while it has been bone snapping cold, 5 of the 6 winters from 1977-83 were actually a bit colder overall. And 1 or 2 were snowier to boot. Right. Fine. Harrumph.

Read all about it online right here if you want to. Me, I pulled my locale’s numbers, and now I just want Spring to show up.

So there you have it: summer was hot as Hell, and wet as Hell. Winter was snowy as Hell, and cold as Hell. Guess that makes life in New Jersey ... a little slice of Heaven.

What, you want the morbid details?

Donuslaved !!

Donuslaved: verb A term that describes an action that cuts an opponent off from significant resources and tactical options. cf Vladmir Putin, The Ukrainian Crisis, 2014

Crimean Penninsula: On the western side of that bit of land that sticks out into the Black Sea, the one Western people with a sense of history should always think of as Sevastopol, runs the river Donuzlav. In 1961 a huge breakwater was built across the mouth of the bay, turning the river into one of the largest freshwater lakes in Europe. It quickly became a prime vacation spot, a wildlife sanctuary, fish farms and shellfish beds, and a perfect place for Ukraine to park its Black Sea navy. A deepwater opening in the middle of the breakwater allows capital ships to sail through, and in the past a small naval airbase guarded the gateway. The base is still there, hardly a kilometer away, runways and docks just waiting to be used.

Today, no matter what happens with the Ukraine Crisis, their navy is out of the game. Without firing a single shot, Putin effectively just sank the whole thing.

image image

Perhaps the old western expression “Don’t put all your eggs in one basket” doesn’t translate into Ukrainian. And it looks like “Pearl Harbor” doesn’t either.

image

The Russian Navy Ochakov Kara-class cruiser was sunk last night to block the Ukrainian Navy ships deployed in Novoozerne, the Ukrainian Ministry of Defence said in a press release today.

The information was confirmed by the Ukrainian military of the South Naval Base who were observing the operation.

Yevpatoria, Ukraine: An anti-submarine boat may have been the first casualty of the Russian incursion into Crimea, but it was hardly an act of violence, much less war: The Russian navy sank one of its own, junked vessels to create an obstacle, a Ukrainian official said on Wednesday.

Ukraine Defence Ministry spokesman Lieutenant Colonel Alexei Mazepa said Russian sailors pulled the anti-submarine vessel Ochakov out of a naval junkyard and sank it in the straits that connect the Black Sea with a body of water known as Donuzlav Lake. He said the act was intended to prevent Ukrainian navy ships from leaving a nearby base and going to sea.

As the Ukrainian-Russian rift over Crimea intensifies, a new tactic has emerged: intentionally sinking a ship to prevent Ukrainian government ships from leaving a southern port. The vessel in question, reported to be a Kara-class cruiser. Russians (or at least Russian sympathizers) towed the ship to the entrance to Donuzlav and sank it.

The act of sinking a ship on purpose is called scuttling. Navies typically do this to prevent enemies from getting their hands on the hardware. Doing it in a specific spot to create a blockade is something different—we’re going to call it ”strategic scuttling.”

No, I’m going to call it brilliant. So brilliant that it deserves to become a verb in its own right. Sure, it’s been done in the past. But as a non-violent “act of war, not really” that can stop a non-war from becoming one, while really tipping the scales for your side? I think this may be a first. Genius.

My only surprise is that they didn’t stage the thing as an accident in the middle of the night. Then he’d even have plausible deniability. “Who me? Nyet! Boatski sinksi! Is accident!” But then he’d have to make some token effort to try and remove it. No, this way is better. In your face comrades. And now everyone gets a fresh reminder of who The Man is. And it ain’t Obama.

And Its Over, Over There?

Crimean Parliament Votes To Join Russia

SIMFEROPOL, Ukraine (Reuters) - Crimea’s parliament voted to join Russia on Thursday and its Moscow-backed government set a referendum on the decision in 10 days’ time in a dramatic escalation of the crisis over the Ukrainian Black Sea peninsula.

The sudden acceleration of moves to bring Crimea, which has an ethnic Russian majority and has effectively been seized by Russian forces, formally under Moscow’s rule came as European Union leaders held an emergency summit groping for ways to pressure Russia to back down and accept mediation.

U.S. President Barack Obama took the first steps to punish Russians and Ukrainians involved in what he called “threatening the sovereignty and territorial integrity of Ukraine”, ordering the freezing of their U.S. assets and a ban on travel to the United States.

The names on the blacklist were not immediately made public but a U.S. official said they did not include Russian President Vladimir Putin.

Seriously? Is that the best you can do Barry? Geex, what a dweeb. And they never saw this coming. That’s the real head shaker here. Maybe it’s time we flushed the State Department and started all over again.

In the long run though, I expect the blame for all of this will fall on the EU. If they’d let Ukraine join, this probably would not have happened. On the other hand, Putin has all of Europe’s nuts in the wringer; Russia supplies a huge amount of their natural gas, and he has his hand on the valve and he’s already shown that he’s not afraid to twist his wrist when they get uppity or step out of line. And with the US essentially replacing the military for most of these countries for 60+ years, they’ve all enjoyed the well padded benefits of Socialism’s wealth redistribution while hardly spending a cent on defense. And now they’ve got nothing to stop the bear when he gets cranky. On the third hand, Ukraine is a complicated situation. The USSR moved huge populations of ethnic Russians to all her satellite nations, and those folks have been there for generations. Some have assimilated, many have not. But when a newly independent Ukraine broke away from the dying Soviet mega-state, one of the first things they did was ban Russian as an official language. Problem was, they couldn’t get all those imported people to “go home”, since after several generations Ukraine was their home. So now they’re third class people, pushed down to the bottom of society, enclaved and isolated. With all the brewing resentment that entails. This will not turn out good.

My take: at best, if calmer heads can keep too many bullets from flying, Ukraine will be split into West Ukraine and The Crimean. At best West Ukraine will have river access to the Black Sea, which will become nearly their private lake. It’s not like they haven’t been trying for this for nearly 200 years, right Britain?

Connecticut: Firearms Confiscation Plan On Hold: 2/3 Of Police Force Is On The List Too

Connecticut has been making news due to their hastily passed gun registration laws. According to some sources as few as 15% of gun owners have actually registered their firearms. News Blogs have been warning state officials are talking about mass confiscations of the unregistered firearms.

Plans for these confiscations hit a snag when a legislative intern dared to ask a question. “Who will be going door to door to take all the guns away?” asked the 21-year-old college senior.

Reportedly multiple people in the room in the most sarcastic voices they could muster said “the police”.

The unnamed intern then pointed at the list and said, “my dad’s name is on the list, and he is the police chief. I see three other names on this list of family members, all cops.”

Within hours a print off of all sworn Law Enforcement officers in the state was obtained. Comparisons of the list of gun owners who failed to comply with registration requirements and sworn LEOs showed a startling figure. Just over 68% of Connecticut cops had failed to register firearms according to the new law.

An anonymous source in the Governors office said lawmakers were dumbfounded.
...
So now Connecticut is in little quagmire. The powers that be are making all kinds of threats, but there is no one to follow through on the threats.

Dumbfounded? Really? I’d say those lawmakers are not just stupid, but willfully blinded by their own beliefs.

On the other hand, since when has total hypocrisy ever stopped those in power or with badges from doing whatever they wanted?

On the third hand, if the state already had a list of who owned what guns, then why did they need to make the people go through the BS of registration? Was that just an exercise in brow beating, and object lesson to remind the plebes who was in charge?

ezra levant, a fellow you should see and hear.

It has been a long time since this guy has been shown here.  Those regulars to bmews might recall his legal persecution by a Canadian court.
If ever there was a free speech issue and not in name only, well this guy has been thru the ringer.

There is an interesting piece and another video that runs for 30 minutes which this video below, refers to.  It’s at the Gates of Vienna but there’s something weird happening cos all I got was an error page and an error 500.  So .... I got the second video, the one below this one, at YTube but not the written editorial.
No matter.

PLEASE guys ... listen to this man.  This is a short video and a mind bender.
After this one ....

watch this one!

My usual negative self. I never used to be quite this negative, but damn if all the evidence I see doesn’t point to doom and gloom.
It’s been a number of years since Pat Buchanan wrote the book, “The Death of the West”.  My friends, it is suicide and he was on the money, sorry to say.
So long as western culture and western courts allow the system to be used against itself by our enemies, we lose. The people he is talking about are more like a deadly virus in the form of slimy worms slithering under and into western cultures. They can be found in the sewers of the world and under rocks and thriving on waste and decay and filth and .... here’s the really dangerous part.  Not all of them are muslims.  Too many are their useful idiots, they are guilt ridden left wing middle class (they often are) whites.  The muslim menace is well funded and pretty well organized, because they are allowed to be.

EU demands Britain gives more rights to migrants.  this place is gonna sink under the weight

Say ... How’s this for a title?

I kid you not.  It’s for real.

European Commissioner in charge of Justice, fundamental rights and citizenship

Woo-Hoo guys.  That’s some awesome responsibility.  Wonder what that non job pays.

Gotta feel bad for Britain really do. The person who holds that title is a woman named Viviane Reding, who I bet hardly any Brit has ever heard of before.
But they will hear of and from her because ...

Look here.

EU demands Britain gives more rights to migrants: Commissioner wants citizens to ‘enjoy same rights they have at home in other member states’

Viviane Reding is pressing for a ‘common area of justice’

It could bring onerous new rules and obligations to the UK

Commissioner also wants EU to establish its own version of MI5

By James Slack

Oh boy. Can you imagine it folks?  The EU with it’s own CIA? OK, MI5. Same thing innit?  By which I mean to say, spies, spooks, intel. Yes?
Scary stuff. Come to think of it, I’m surprised they don’t have it already.

Onward.

Eurocrats will demand that Britain give ‘rights without borders’ to EU migrants.

In a move certain to spark a new row with Westminster, EU Commissioner Viviane Reding is pressing for a ‘fully functioning common area of justice’.

Most controversially, citizens would be able to ‘enjoy the same rights they have at home in another Member State’ - potentially importing a string of onerous new rules and obligations to the UK.

Wow. Can you imagine if the USA were told it had to open it’s ........ oh right. They already are. Unless you’re a law abiding white person.

In a pointed reference to Britain, Ms Reding said new rules were vital at a time when ‘the right to free movement of EU citizens is being challenged by some’.

The Government is currently facing a string of legal battles with Brussels over attempts by the Prime Minister to restrict some of the benefits paid to migrants.

Ms Reding’s blueprint will be presented to a meeting of the EU Justice Council in Brussels, attended by Chris Grayling, today.

The commissioner - who also wants the EU to establish its own version of MI5 - is seeking a formal agreement by the end of the week.

Migrants would be expected to enjoy uniform rights, such as those laid down by the European Union’s controversial Charter of Fundamental Right ,which includes the right to strike and collective bargaining.

Documents drawn up by Ms Reding, who is from Luxembourg, says there are currently 14million EU citizens residing in a Member State of which they are not a national - including around 2.3million in the UK.

Last night, a Whitehall source said: ‘Heaven knows why we keep seeing proposals like this appearing. This may be Commissioner Reding’s vision for the future, but there’s no appetite in this country for our justice system to be ‘Europeanised’. This is just more mission creep out of Brussels.’

Ms Reding also wishes set-up a dedicated intelligence agency to rival MI5, MI6 and GCHQ. She says the new spy agency is needed to keep track on the surveillance activities of GCHQ.

The UK taxpayer would be expected to pick up a huge bill for funding the new agents.

It follows claims that GCHQ, in partnership with America’s National Security Agency, has been carrying out mass surveillance on EU citizens, diplomats and heads of State.

Not that very many people ever read this far down, but this blog was the creation of Allan Kelly and his friend Vilmar. Vilmar moved on to his own blog some time ago, and Allan ran this place alone until his sudden and unexpected death partway through 2006. We all miss him. A lot. Even though he is gone this site will always still be more than a little bit his. We who are left to carry on the BMEWS tradition owe him a great debt of gratitude, and we hope to be able to pay that back by following his last advice to us all:
  1. Keep a firm grasp of Right and Wrong
  2. Stay involved with government on every level and don't let those bastards get away with a thing
  3. Use every legal means to defend yourself in the event of real internal trouble, and, most importantly:
  4. Keep talking to each other, whether here or elsewhere
It's been a long strange trip without you Skipper, but thanks for pointing us in the right direction and giving us a swift kick in the behind to get us going. Keep lookin' down on us, will ya? Thanks.

Oh, and here's some kind of visitor flag counter thingy. Hey, all the cool blogs have one, so I should too. The Visitors Online thingy up at the top doesn't count anything, but it looks neat. It had better, since I paid actual money for it.
