I was gonna leave Facebook…

… then I started having fun on it again. Seems the ladies like me!

Today’s adventure: Take over the kitchen!
Yes folks. I’m taking over the kitchen. Today is CSA box day and we haven’t exhausted last week’s CSA box.
I’m ready.
I’ve got yellow squash, zucchini, garlic, tomatoes, onions, several bulbs of garlic, carrots, sweet corn, green beans.

And I’m wearing sunglasses.
Hit it!

Mary Hoff, Katherine Hornig Butler and Nancy KnippTimmons like this.

Christopher: Oh, did I mention garlic?

Nancy KnippTimmons: so what are we making?

Christopher: We? You gonna come over and help?

Nancy KnippTimmons: gee would love to but Im busy.lol

Christopher: Damnit Nancy, you distracted me! I just added some finger to my food!

Nancy KnippTimmons: alright always good to add finger
(you’ll note I let that obvious opening slide…)

Katherine Hornig Butler: whacha makin?

Christopher: I’m so glad you asked Kathy: Grandpa! Sauteéd squash and zucchini, pickled onions and carrots, roasted sweet corn, roasted garlic to spread on fresh-baked bread, and slow-cooked kitteh with green beans. (I made that last up, the kitteh in question is busy pawing me ‘cause I’m ignoring him. No kittehs were eaten…)

Katherine Hornig Butler: They don’t go with green beans anyway.

Christopher: Oh? If he keeps annoying me I may try it!

hands up, spread em, drop that tv remote

Drew posted this.

The Blackrobes blow it again ... how bass ackwards can these buttmonkeys be?

3rd Circuit Court: Second Amendment “Unsettled”

While Drew was doing that, I was busy reading the following not having yet seen his post.

Couple kept in the cells for four hours after being arrested in their bedroom by armed police when a paramedic mistook TV remote for a gun

· Paramedics went to help woman suffering from a panic attack
· While they tended to Michelle Malone her partner was watching TV
· Couple now plan on taking action against West Mercia Police over incident

By Anna Edwards

A couple were arrested at gunpoint when armed officers raided their home after a paramedic mistook their TV remote for a gun and reported them.
Michelle Malone, 46, and Keith Abrahams, 44, were bundled into a police van in the middle of the night and locked in a cell, before being questioned for four hours.
They were eventually released without charge after a paramedic, who had attended the address to help Michelle who suffered a panic attack, thought the remote was a firearm and called police.

The pair said they were surrounded by 10 armed officers wearing body armour, eight uniformed police as well as a dog handler at 1am in their Hereford flat the next morning.

They were then frog-marched from their home and taken to a nearby police station while officers then conducted a forensic fingertip search of the property but found no trace of a gun.

Detectives confirmed during the pair’s interview the paramedic believed he had spotted Keith holding a firearm in the bedroom - but he was only holding a remote as he watched television.

She said: ‘The police told us the medic had seen a 10 inch long black firearm being held by Keith as he lay in bed. ‘But he had dozed off watching TV in his bedroom - it must have been the remote.

‘There is no other explanation. The room was dark but I can’t see how you would mistake it for a weapon. ‘I suffered the indignity of being treated like this all for the sake of a television remote control.

‘I’m an upstanding citizen and normal people should not be treated like this. ‘I can only believe to imagine what my neighbours thought.

‘I just remember running out of bed after hearing a bang like and earthquake and seeing police pointing guns at Keith, who was up against the wall.

‘We were held at the station for four hours but released without charge, but I couldn’t believe it when I heard they were searching for a gun.

‘I’ve never had a gun in my life - I’ve never even seen one before. It was just horrendous. ‘I got back to the house and it was completely wrecked from the search and I just broke down.

‘We received no apology and I just feel violated by their intrusive actions.

And there’s a bit more.

Clear This Bench And Start Over

The Blackrobes blow it again ... how bass ackwards can these buttmonkeys be?

3rd Circuit Court: Second Amendment “Unsettled”

In a case over New Jersey’s requirement that a citizen demonstrate “justifiable need” for a carrying a firearm before receiving a concealed carry license, the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Third Circuit ruled that such a requirement “does not burden conduct within the scope of the Second Amendment’s guarantee.” The court also said “it remains unsettled” whether the Second Amendment is even applicable outside one’s home.

Filed on July 31, 2013, the ruling in Drake v. Filko upheld New Jersey’s practice of placing the burden of proof upon the citizen. In other words, the citizen who wants to carry a gun for self-defense must demonstrate why doing so is necessary for him or her. In simple terms, the citizen must justify being free.

Hey retard with the gavel ... “A well regulated militia, being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” doesn’t say anything about WHERE. Or WHEN. Or WHO. Or WHAT. Nor does it say a jot or a tiddle about hunting or self-defense. It is a natural, UNIVERSAL right of all mankind, applicable everywhere and at all times by everyone. It’s been that way forever, long before pharaoh, long before USA, not just since some recent SCOTUS decision like Heller. If you can’t understand that, you are both too stupid and too willfully blind to hold the job. Period. No ifs, no buts, no maybes. You’re fired.

Read the rest at Breitbart.

The Blonde Speaks Out

A young woman in France gently speaks her mind about Islam in a series of YouTube videos. And finds herself censored, time and again. And buried in an avalanche of death threats and vituperative comments.

Alas, PC and self-imposed Sharia run the show everywhere, even at YouTube.

Follow this link over to Gates of Vienna. There are subtitles, but they aren’t perfect. But not too much is lost in translation ...

I am not totally French. My father is Sicilian, my mother is Italian. They arrived in France 30 years ago. But both worked Both integrated as did my Swiss friends, my English and Portuguese friends. The only ones who will not integrate, and where it is continuously the (brothel?) [ghetto?]

I don’t want to be nasty, but it is always the same ones. It’s time we recognise this.  About a month ago, when there was the “marriage for gays” they said that we, the Catholics were extremists.  I have not seen put fire to a single car. I have not seen a single shop destroyed, okay.  Everywhere it’s the same,

the media hide everything from us. A little example: 2 weeks ago there was a rally against radical Islam it was on CNN, it was in the American and English news papers. One heard nothing in France. Voila: for me our country is in immediate danger. And it’s up to us the French, to wake up. Because what is

happening now is very very serious. When I see in the paper….(title page of “Liberation” left paper)….[muslim French fighters?] have left for Syria and that afterwards they will return to our country, but are you seeerious? We, we let them do this?

I am neither of the Left nor of the Right. I am here for my country, I am a patriot! Full stop! We are forgetting The Republique, we are forgetting the values of France. We are forgetting Human Rights. All this is flouted. Flouted for what? Flouted for an immigration and by an extremist immigration.

Another number just published: 80% of Maghrebins (North African Arabs) don’t work and live off Social Services. [sounds just like the UK!!] When I see in a bus one single (French person) while 50 other individuals shout “Allah U Akbar”. You call that “respect”? I call this provocation. Allah is great.

Allah is the only god and Jews are the enemy of Allah. and Jews are the enemy of Allah. It’s time to put things back into their place and to stop telling us that by having an opinion about Islam we are Islamophobes. Stop it. It’s an excuse for denial of the truth

Vlad Tepes essays an opinion ..

Freedom of speech? Sure. The problem is no freedom of listen.

This is the fourth video of that sweet ‘Blonde-of-Youtube’ I have posted in the past week or so [#5 came along later — BB]. Three of them deal with Islam and its effects on France and Europe. One of them discusses the fact that her videos have been deleted from Youtube, and, if I understand her correctly, she also had a Facebook page deleted because of the content of her videos.

What I find interesting is why. Her material is relatively innocuous. Compared to what imams say in a day about the rest of us on these same forums, the death threats she herself receives regularly and the attendant vulgarity, her videos are simple and obvious observations and analysis that is pretty much watertight.

So why the deletion?

Well I have a guess.

Is that an awesome graphic, or what?

L’extrémisme dans la défense de votre pays est une vertu.

I’m a few days late but the problem is fresh as ever.
Brits aren’t the only ones, as you must know, with this infection.
The French appear slightly less tolerant of this filth, but they still remain a serious disease for that country, but some are fighting back.  I’m sure there are many actual “racists” among the far right, but I also would guess there are as many who aren’t natural haters, but see how things are falling and view the far right as the only answer.
And soon there will be even more of this blight that will descend upon other European countries.
Somehow I don’t think that when they formed the European Union, the powers that were at that time, expected this.

Those of you who live in places outside Europe, reasonably safe (for now), can have no idea of just how bad it is.  Even those of you who read the many stories I share and have been sharing over years here at bmews.

A week or two ago I posted a story in which it was reported that a dawn raid was made by Brit police on the lice that were camping out in London, turning a park into an open sewer and creating havoc which is what those ppl do wherever they settle.
Anyway, I told you at the time that many took the offer of a paid ticket home, but not all of them.  You see, they had a “right” to refuse the offer.
Well, I just want to let you guys know and no surprise ….  Many who left, have returned.

Last week I also posted an article about a stolen camper that a couple had £30,000 ($46,000) invested in. Here’s a link that appeared today which includes a very brief video but the comment by the writer of this piece tells you in plain language what ppl feel.  Yet nothing is done.  Take a look at this after you read the post for today.

A BETRAYAL of common sense, logic and most importantly, the victims.

The headline calls them extremists.  There is no such thing as extreme when you are trying to save your country.  I see them as patriots.

How a Roma invasion sparked the rise of France’s racist Right as gangs running riot and an explosion of crime prompted revenge attacks by extremists

· Tourists are frequently targeted by Roma gangs who rob them in public

· Thousands have immigrated to France in search of a better life

· Begging is illegal in the country but police are powerless to stop it

· Backlash against crimes has seen far-Right thugs targeting Roma groups

By GUY ADAMS

Two young tourists stroll lazily across Place Sainte-Opportune in Central Paris, using a map to navigate the quiet backstreets linking the Louvre with Notre Dame Cathedral. Halfway across the picturesque cobbles they are approached by a group of teenage boys, who appear to be the children of Roma gipsies.

There are eight of them, smiling manically and blowing kisses.

The tourists, both American men in their 20s, attempt to wave the beggars politely away. But the youths refuse to leave: instead, they crowd closer. Within seconds, the two men are surrounded. Hands grab at their pockets, or reach for their rucksacks. Voices are raised and a scuffle ensues.

It takes perhaps 20 seconds for the confusion to clear. By that time, the shocked Americans have been relieved of their bags, which lie torn open on the pavement, surrounded by personal belongings. At least one camera has been stolen, along with a wallet. Mobile phones are missing. A pair of designer sunglasses lie twisted in the gutter.

Police are called, but the criminal gang is long gone. A detective shrugs apologetically as the victims dust themselves down and gather what remains of their belongings. We can safely assume that their summer holiday has been ruined.

The incident occurs at breakfast-time, at the start of another busy day in France’s capital, where the Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triomphe and other famous attractions draw 16 million overseas visitors each year.

When a body is cursed with a deadly cancer, often surgeons will operate and cut out the cancer in hopes of saving the patient.

Europe has the double curse of islamic terrorists AND the traveller to contend with.  The authorities are doing what they can re. the terror threat, but not enough from the threat of that other curse.

To those far right wing French patriots I say bless you and good luck.  Strike hard and often while you can.

Whaddya Know? They Really ARE Death Panels

Of course they are. Any doofus could see that, even if he can’t see Russia from his house.

A B- effort from Bill Whittle, because he goes on so long with so many points in the middle of this that you forget where he’s going. Using a few dozen bullet points on the old blackboard, a la Glenn Beck, would have helped tremendously.

Wonder Where That Came From???

Egypt: Jihadis Fired A Hellfire Missile At Us

A bit lost in the shuffle is the fact that when the Egyptian Army threw out Morsi, the very first thing they did was shut down the border with Gaza. Sealed. Crushed the tunnels, closed the crossing points. And Hamas, which is really big in Gaza, is suffering.

Yeah, how awful that Egypt is having a step backwards on the road to a democratic government. IMO, let the army kill all the terrorists and all the Muslim Brotherhood (long a thorn in the side over there) and a whole crapload of radical imams, and then go play the democracy game.

But in the mean time ...

Egypt claims jihadists fired US Hellfire missile at government office

Jihadists in Egypt’s lawless Sinai Peninsula are using U.S. weapons to carry out attacks against the temporary government in the wake of the military’s ouster of President Mohammed Morsi, according to the embattled nation’s Interior Ministry.

The government office posted an official statement on its Facebook page along with images of an exploded missile that hit the third floor of a building in the city of el-Arish last week. The post said terrorist forces targeted the North Sinai Security Directorate office with a ballistic missile that struck the third floor facade of the building, leaving three soldiers injured. While attacks in the Sinai, which borders Gaza and is a haven for terrorist activity, have become commonplace, the prospect that militants have U.S. weapons typically fired from helicopters at their disposal is especially alarming.

Three photos of the missile posted by the government agency shows that it appears to be an AGM-114F with a label written in English and the letters “U.S.” stenciled on the side.

Gak. As bad as journalists and guns ... they never get it right. The little Hellfire is a “ballistic missile” only in that if you fire it upwards, eventually it will come down. It’s not AT ALL an ICBM, one of those globe spanning MIRV nukes we used to worry about during the Cold War. That’s what we think of when we hear “ballistic missile”. It’s a tiny little thing which only weighs 100 lb or so.

Reports of U.S.-made weapons turning up in the Sinai date back to at least January, when six U.S.-made missiles were found in a cache of weapons bound for Gaza. And in February, FoxNews.com reported exclusively that weapons left over from the revolution in Libya were being sold at clandestine auctions is the Sinai Peninsula. The U.S. has repeatedly denied arming the Libyan rebels, though it did assist them in other ways with the overthrow of longtime Libyan strongman Muammar Qaddafi.

Riiight. We all know about that. No arms at all, especially not those 20,000 MANPADS gone missing. Or that those AQ-leaning Tauregs fighting for hire in Libya somehow picked up enough arms to allow them to go and take over Mali. No, nothing to see here, move along.

Hellfire missiles in the hands of jihadis? Shit. It’s only a matter of time until airliners start falling from the sky like autumn leaves.

batman is what?

When I was a kid and I read the comics or saw something on early blk and wht TV, the costumes worn by our kiddie heroes never looked as fake as they do today.
I don’t know what your opinion is of the current crop of these movies, but the movies aren’t my topic.  The costumes are, and even more is a question.

Why is it so important, as it appears to be, that our super heroes just must be queer?
What’s with that?
I suppose the answer really is that it makes that lifestyle more acceptable and more mainstream.  Well heck, why can’t they leave those super men and women as they were and as we knew them, and invent their own super heroes?  I mean, hey. They already stole the ‘G’ word.  Even the pope himself is referring to them as “gay”.

Not content with outing real people, they even insist on outing fictional characters. Good grief.  They are outing things that don’t even exist.

The headline reads;

Author ‘outs’ Batman as an ageing homosexual

ADAM SHERWIN

There’s always been something more than a little camp about a superhero who sports tights and rubber nipples and enjoys the company of his Boy Wonder sidekick.

Now Batman has been “outed” as an ageing homosexual who picks up young men for one-night stands and sits next to Sir Elton John at New York charity dinners – at least for the purposes of a new novel.

The whispers about Gotham City’s masked crime-fighter are confirmed in Erotic Lives of the Superheroes, which depicts Batman and Robin as a bickering gay couple whose sex life has gone flat.

Written by the Italian author Marco Mancassola, the novel imagines the erotic obsessions of Superman, Mister Fantastic and Mystique as their heroic abilities are dulled by the ageing process. Acclaimed upon its publication in Italy, the book, which centres on a murder mystery, arrives in the UK this week.

By portraying Batman as openly gay, Mancassola has made explicit leanings which have been tacit throughout the character’s comic book and screen history.

Grant Morrison, who wrote Batman stories for DC Comics, claimed that “he’s intended to be heterosexual, but the basis of the whole concept is utterly gay”.

the way it’s going doesn’t inspire much confidence

What do I say or add to this?

No need as she says it all and speaks I think, for very many Brits.

a quote from:

MELANIE PHILLIPS

“I am British,” she says. “It made me and I was brought up to love what it once stood for. Britain gave the world a concept of liberty that is unmatched.
It has had characteristics of tolerance, decency, fairness, fair play, stoicism and emotional restraint. These things are priceless to me. I’ve watched these things going down the pan and I can’t bear it, I will fight for these things to be restored.”

But her heart seems only half in it.

“I’m not sure what home is any more,” she adds. “Britain is increasingly leaving me, it’s leaving a lot of people, it’s becoming something quite different. I will continue to fight in my own way for it. One can’t say what the future will hold – the way it’s going doesn’t inspire much confidence. Wherever I end up, it will always be part of me.

That is not the subject of this missive and I only share it in passing.  Just another annoyance to tend to.

I am prompted at the moment to post this brief excerpt because Wardmom made a comment which reminded me of something I read yesterday.

Rush Limbaugh points out that the Left/Liberals/Progressives/Communists/Socialists/Fascists always start with changing the language - dumb it down, ‘nudge’ the meaning a bit, cutesy it up - to make the ignorant sheeple even more ignorant.  Posted by wardmama4

Lessons in spelling ‘have no place in 21st century schools’

Schools should stop providing lessons in spelling and grammar because children can correct linguistic errors on their mobile phones, according to a leading academic.

Sugata Mitra, professor of educational technology at Newcastle University, said good spelling and grammar was necessary “maybe a hundred years ago” but “not right now”.

UNEDITED VERSION HERE, TELEGRAPH

You might be interested to learn that the professor has won a $1,000,000 US education prize to develop a generation of ‘cloud schools’.

To be fair, you might want to read the entire article and catch the prof.’s comment in response to critics.

Obama’s Other Sons

Armed teen shot dead by police in New York City

NEW YORK — Police in New York City shot dead a 14-year-old US boy as he was chasing and shooting at another male before dawn on Sunday.

Two rookie officers heard shots around 3 a.m, the New York Police Department said in a statement.

The officers went to investigate and saw the teenager, identified as Bronx-resident Shaaliver Douse, armed with a nine millimeter handgun, pursuing and firing at the other young man.

“Ordered to ‘drop the gun’ by the uniformed officers who identified themselves as police, the male with the gun still in his hand, did not comply,” the statement said.

“One of the officers discharged one round from his service weapon, striking the armed male in the lower left jaw. The male was pronounced DOA at the scene.”

The two officers, aged 26 and 27 and with less than seven months experience on the force, were taken to the hospital due to trauma and ringing in their ears. No other injuries were reported.

“A black semi-automatic firearm (Astra A100- 9mm) was recovered at the scene,” the statement said.

An Astra A100 is pretty much a Spanish made clone of the SIG-Sauer P-220. It’s a 9mm DA/SA semi-automatic that usually holds a 17 round magazine, yet is small enough for concealed carry. Legal sale second hand price is about $300. Good solid firearm, albeit a bit top heavy for me, like all Sigs.

14 years old. Out at 3am, chasing some gun down the street and shooting left and right. Damn waste. I feel really bad ... for the two young cops.

And if the cops hadn’t been there, we’d be reading (maybe) about the other guy who wound up dead. Or maybe that wouldn’t even make the news.

Obama seems to lose a half dozen or so virtual sons just about every day. You’d think he’d talk to them, give them some of that Father Figure stuff they so desperately need. Assuming he has the spare time in between golf games.

From another web page:

… Shaaliver Douse, who admittingly led a troubled life. He had been arrested numerous times previously, including an attempted murder charge.

Do I agree with the cops shooting him in the face? Not really. He was only 14. Government officials should have gotten this kid help instead of allowing the police to murder him.

image
Young Shaaliver in front of some kind of photographic backdrop.

That’s half the problem in a nutshell right there: the government should have stepped in to help this kid out. A kid with an arrest record a mile long, obviously violent. And the cops murdered him. I guess they were supposed to just wait until he shot the other guy as much as he wanted, or at least ran out of bullets, then corralled him under a giant pile of stuffed Care Bears and carried him off to Rainbow Unicorn Land for some free love and ice cream?

And OF COURSE ... from news article #3 ... the other part of the nutshell ...

Quwana Barcene says her nephew was a student at Smith High School and was coming home from hanging out at a NYCHA-hosted block party at the Cortlandt Houses when he was shot. She denies that her nephew had a gun at the time of the shooting.

What, you mean THIS gun Quwana? The one with his blood and fingerprints all over it? Nah, he was a friggin’ choir boy. Who went to government funded block parties that lasted until 3am ... at the age of 14.

image

Douse, who was arrested in May on attempted murder charges for shooting a 15-year-old, fired at the man running on East 151st Street this morning, police said.

...

Douse had a court appearance scheduled for Aug. 23, for weapons possession, records show.
